This is my first time at this Broken Yolk. This particular locations has great service, very clean and great food. We enjoyed avocado toast and eggs Benedict. Raymond was our server and he’ was perfect.
Has a good Fuego omelet, its amazing and very spicy. However I was confused about the check marks on the app, I didnt get my toast or hash browns, so im confused as it asked me what options I wanted. Im sure they will make it right. But the food here is amazing. Be sure to try them, just get clarity on ordering online first.
Our server, Paola provided prompt, and friendly care. She and her help made sure that we had whatever we neede. The breakfast was its usual greatness with tasty and large portions. The restaurant was busy so it is a bit noisy but that's to be expected on a Saturday morning. There's no question about our return which will be soon. Thank you Broken Yolk
The food was delicious and the server Sabino was very helpful. He got our order in quickly and correctly! The food was amazing and worth every penny. definitely coming back! The manager Lisett was amazing. She was checking in with all the tables and helping everybody. Really great staff and vibe here!
Absolutely love this breakfast/brunch spot! 🥞☕ It was my first time, and I’m already hooked – the food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the café itself has great ambiance and most inviting vibe. But what really makes it shine is Lisett – the manager extraordinaire! Her warmth, energy, and personal touch made my visit truly special. If you want amazing food and a host who makes you feel like family, this is the place! I will definitely be going back and recommending this place to everyone I know! 💛
I had an outstanding experience at Broken Yolk Cafe, and the manager Lisett deserves all the praise. She was genuinely amazing — incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, and you can tell she truly cares about both the guests and the restaurant. Lisett went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, checking on us often and making us feel genuinely welcomed the entire time. Her positive energy, leadership, and attention to detail really show in how smoothly the restaurant runs. The food was fantastic as well. I ordered the Classic Benedict, Salmon Benedict, and chocolate chip pancakes, and everything was absolutely delicious and came out quickly. But what really stood out was Lisett — she completely elevated the experience and genuinely brightened up my day. Exceptional service like hers is rare, and it’s the reason I’ll absolutely be coming back.
One of my favorite brunch spots! Love the sope benedict and the smoked salmon avocado toast. The food here is delicious and the service is amazing! Even on a busy weekend morning, Lisett was super kind, helpful, and attentive the whole time and made the experience excellent.
Just tried Broken Yolk Cafe for the first time and have nothing but good things to say about it! First, thank you for being open on New Year's Day. We got there at 10am and even though the place was packed we were seated immediately. Table was clean and we got a window seat. Our server, Carlos, was fantastic. Super friendly and great attitude, checked in on us frequently, had good menu and drink suggestions, we liked him a lot. Despite how busy they were the food didn't take that long to come out. My boyfriend said this was the first place he'd been to in a long time where the food you got actually looked like the picture on the menu. I got an iced vanilla latte with coconut milk, smoked salmon avocado toast, and the classic French toast - all amazing. My boyfriend got orange juice (served in a Bellini glass), Belgian waffles, and a side of eggs and sausage. We devoured our food, it was so good. I also REALLY appreciated how much their menu had for vegan/vegetarian options and substitutions. And they had a ton of drink options on the coffee menu, including matcha lattes. 10/10 would recommend.

Rancheros Skillets are excellent, the Tres Leches French Toast is nice when the craving arises but you don’t want a lot of sugar, and the Holiday Lattes were a fun addition.
Our waiter, Carlos went above and beyond making sure we had what we needed and checking on us often to be sure that we were satisfied! Service was exceptional! He had a ready smile, very friendly and made us feel relaxed, comfortable and welcome! What a great guy! We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and he made her feel special!!
The food was delicious! Carlos F. (2063) was our server & was fantastic! He made sure we had everything we needed and His recommendations did not disappoint! Excellent service with delicious food made it a perfect Sunday brunch on the outdoor patio.
I stopped by Broken Yolk Café while visiting from Montreal, Canada, and I was seriously impressed. I ordered the salmon eggs benedict, and it was perfect, the salmon was fresh, the eggs were cooked exactly right, and the hollandaise sauce was rich, smooth, and full of flavor. Honestly one of the best I’ve tried. The service was great as well. The staff were friendly, quick, and really made the experience enjoyable. Overall, amazing food and excellent service. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
Amazing service food was amazing Carlos F. Is an amazing worker he served us good and had great positive energy!!! Will definitely recommend to go!! The only thing I would say is that it’s super packed and food takes a minute to come out but definitely recommended and food is still hot!!!

From out of town this was our first visit. The lemon ricotta pancakes were the best pancakes Ive ever had! Everyone in our group loved their plates! Wonderful service and excellent food!
Broken Yolk Cafe is fantastic! I had the cinnamon pancakes with fries, and it was absolutely amazing. The flavors were spot on, and the portion size was perfect. The best part? There was no wait time at all, and the service was quick. For the quality of the meal, the price was surprisingly low--it felt like a great deal. The restaurant and bathroom were also very clean, which added to the overall experience. Highly recommend! Five stars!
Definitely enjoyed sitting outside in the nice California weather and the food was outstanding. Actually had breakfast there twice in the same week that we were visiting. The omelets are so good, and outstanding eggs benedict, and avocado toast with two broken yolk eggs on top so delicious! Oh did I mention the blueberry infused pancakes with fresh blueberries on top - Amazing!!! The inside of the restaurant was a bit noisy but it's busy because everyone goes there since the food is so good!! We went to other breakfast places while we were visiting, but this place hands down was the best!
The food here was really good with a good selection of different options, and the server was friendly and attentive. Service was phenomenal! If I am ever in Costa Mesa again, I’ll gladly eat here.

Broken Yolk is such an excellent place for a delicious and inventive brunch. They have all the classics, and some options with a twist - like the fantastic eggs benedict sopes (pictured). Not only was the food wonderful, but our server, Carlos, made us feel right at home - such a warm, friendly dude. Thanks Carlos and Broken Yolk! You're our new favorite.
First time dining in at this location and everything was phenomenal, we were greeted as soon as we open the door, and got sat down right away. Everyone was extremely kind and serviceable. Jennifer and Alonso made our experience beyond expectations! We never had to ask for refills, or anything. They both were hands down with our table. The restaurant itself it’s beautiful and ambience is nice, and familiar. Highly recommend to come and yap with friends and family, and have a good time with some coffee and mimosas!

Well the experience started great by joining the wait list online! So I wouldn’t have to wait in front with all the other people. My party was just 2. I Walked into tell the host i had been on the wait list. And was greeted with a full chest of attitude. Okay great moving on my server we was great. Omelettes must be made with liquid eggs bc they are a very light opaque consistency. I got the American omelette, the bacon was was added after the omelette had been constructed, piled to the side, didn’t even notice it. Now the produce situation? Avocado, rock hard. Could barely eat it. Side of fruit? Old dry signs of age. Idk what’s going on here they must be more concerned about profit. I thought it would be better than Ihop and tbh i was wrong
This place was recommended by many which ended up as a disappointment. I'm latina so I really expected big flavors from here but everything was bland. I ordered the green chillaquiles and it was very dry. Looked good because I took a picture of it but flavor was lacking. There was no salsa for the chillaquiles, my chips were hard hard hard, meat was steak but was greyish for some reason and had no flavor either. I actually had to add salt because it was so plain . I also asked for no onions on mine and they still added them. 🙄🤷🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️🧅 Felt like I was eating nachos instead of a real Mexican breakfast. 👎🏻 My bf ordered one of the eggs Benedict with chorizo and he hated it.( Don't think I took a picture of it sorry) The tomatoe sauce has no salt no flavor nothing. Like they opened the can and dumped it in there. Not gonna lie the food looked good but it just didn't taste good. The guy who was our server also didn't even give us utensils when he sat us down, when he took our order and even when they brought the food. We had to ask someone else for help. I only took my food to go because I felt bad that my bf paid so much money for such bad food. He left his entire plate. Didn't take anything. I ended up throwing mine away when we got home. We also didn't feel so good afterwards from there. Definitely ruined our Saturday brunch date and it made us loose our hunger. I wouldn't waste my money there unless your into white washed Mexican food with no flavors. Pricey and Bland 🙅🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️
