Coppin's at Hotel Covington

Came here for a work dinner (10 people) and it was very good. The appetizers, drink menu and entrees were all very artisan and good. Highly recommend. Make a reservation via phone

My friend invited me for brunch to this spot after hearing about it on Instagram, so we took a chance and I had a GREAT time. I think this place will be the go-to place for my girls and I because not only was the food good, but also our server Miranda was very attentive and sweet. I got the steak item and my friend got the CVG. I would love to try other brunch options as well as their dinner menu.

This place is worth every star I gave and then some. First the ambiance is amazing beautiful inside and outdoor seating arrangements. The decor is warm, romantic, cool, and inviting. The staff are great they work together to meet your needs, they are nice and social. The menu is short but sweet, and does not disappoint. Pictured is the Brussel sprouts, Tots and Burger and I recommend them all highly. I had a liquid knowledge and let's just say kudos to the bartender! Highly recommend this restaurant

We arrived early for our anniversary dinner and stopped to get an oat milk cappuccino which was lovely. The staff were very friendly and gracious. To drink I had the Nothing Gold Can Stay and he had the Coppin’s old fashioned, the drinks were fantastic! As was the Elote Fritters appetizer and let me tell you it's a must try cause it's yummy! We both had the ricotta gnocchi with the Faroe Island salmon, salmon was fabulous, gnocchi was good but a bit dense but flavors were great. We had a side of Lobenstein broccoli which was very good. We shared the brown butter carrot cake, it tasted great but was dense, buttercream was lovely as was the brown butter caramel and candied walnuts.

We really enjoyed Coppins. The ambience is superb and the vibe was busy with good energy but also comfortable. Our service was attentive and on point in a timely manner. We got the tots, fritters, salmon, and gnocchi and all were excellent. We will definitely go back.

Phenomenal bar and restaurant. James took care of us. Fantastic bourbon selection. Stylish decor. Easy reservations on open table. Fantastic for holiday spirit. Hospitality an A+ from hostess, registration, bar tenders, waitstaff and management. Spirited, humorous, professional staff make visit a delight!

Excellent restaurant inside Hotel Covington. Energetic vibe. Good pours from the bar. Changing menu according to the seasonal availability. Recommend the ceviche and the pork belly as appetizers. Our group enjoyed the seared salmon, baked Chicken, and the steak frites. Sautéed mushrooms and the garlic mashed potatoes were THE bomb. We also enjoyed the Honey Cake and some Graeter's ice cream.

Had lunch at Choppins inside Hotel Covington for the first time, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. We sat on the covered patio—perfect weather, great atmosphere, and excellent service. It felt like the ideal spot to relax and enjoy a meal, even during a working lunch. We started with the Beef Fat Fries and Parmesan Potato Tots—both were fantastic, but the tots were next-level. Crispy, layered, and paired with a chili garlic aioli that was out of this world. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich with a side salad, and it was packed with flavor. Juicy chicken, roasted red peppers, basil aioli, and a buttery toasted ciabatta bun—every bite was delicious. The light salad was a great complement after indulging in those amazing starters. ✅ Friendly, attentive service ✅ Beautiful outdoor seating ✅ Flavorful, well-crafted dishes I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're in the Covington area!

Everything was amazing. The place is beautiful. The food is fanatic and the service was great. We decided to stop by this restaurant on our last day in town. I tried the Coppin's burger. It was one of the best burgers I've ever tried. The bloody Mary was well prepared but what really got my attention was the glazed bacon.(OMG) The bacon was spectacular. If you are in town you must visit this place and please, please try out their glazed bacon. I highly recommend this place. We will be back soon. I also want to thanks the bartender for his recommendations.

The drinks here are really where it's at, the food was very good and well made but the cocktails are extremely well thought of and made to a point where you know this is what a 15 dollar cocktail should be . Went back March 2024 dreaming of the creme brulee'd pineapple on the Cypress drink, it did not disappoint.

The pork chop was perfect and full of flavor, salmon was great as well. Tried a couple of the specialty cocktails, they were perfect. Great ambience and excellent service!

Spectacular experience at this restaurant, the service was excellent, very friendly and patient. Nice atmosphere which made the food good. The Nashville Hot Chicken was delicious. There sweet ice tea was good.

Coppins does NOT disappoint! I had the breakfast sandwich and it is truly the most perfect breakfast! Their fresh fruit is such a tasty and vibrant selection of fruit. Top it off with fresh squeezed juice! Our servers here have been so fabulous, but we were lucky to have Steve today. He is an outstanding person and he brings a tasteful warmth to conversation and knowledge about the menu, the hotel and the area. You can’t get a better waiter than him! Thank you for a perfect meal and impeccable service.

Great place to stop for a drink and appetizers with friends! Trendy and upscale place with friendly service. The pimento cheese with fresh bread is phenomenal! Corn fritters are delicious, too.

We absolutely loved it here! Not only was the presentation on point but so were the flavors. Such a chic place-we’ll definitely be back!

Had a Sunday breakfast here. The Kentucky farmers omelette was massive which is awesome. Good vibes. Got right in at 8am

Finally visited and was not disappointed. The drinks were fabulous and the food delicious. I can't get over the decor and what a fantastic space they've got there. Sit outdoors, you won't regret it.

Very good atmosphere and great service. The menu has a good selection of interesting drinks, apps, sides, and main dishes. We really enjoyed the cocktails, including the 24 Carat. Don't pass up the opportunity to try the tots and the mac and cheese.

This is inside Hotel Coventry. We ate dinners and breakfasts at the restaurant. Very modern restaurant, all edibles appear to be hand at the restaurant. Staff is extremely flexible regardless of the number of people. Some dishes are unique and then they taste great. If you're vegetarian just ask and they will help you get a great meal. If you don't ask they can't help. If the number of folks changes say something. In short, ask and they will try to make it happen. Parking is in the city parking garage in back and is reasonably priced. Try it!

Martini was great and the atmosphere is too. Stopped by the bar with a big group after a tournament and the staff did a great job with our drinks and with service.

I chose this place for my sisters birthday because I love the esthetics. When we got there we waited a little longer than usual for the waitress to come to our table. Not sure if she was a manager but a women named JAMIE took great care of us. She made my sisters birthday lunch the best. JAMIE deserves to be promoted for being so kind and attentive to us!!!! We will definitely go back but only if JAMIE is there lol

Visited for Cincy Restaurant Week and that had a very good selection. Their regular menu also looked good. Upscale restaurant with a nice atmosphere to the dining area. The dining area with the view into the courtyard is especially nice. Food was very good with service that was friendly & attentive. The location is also convenient. An overall nice dining experience.

We went for Valentine's Day brunch and tried the Bloody Mary, Spiced Sangria, Golden Hour, KY Farmers Omelet, Porkopolis Omelet, Breakfast Hash, Biscuits and Gravy, Sourdough Bread, and Honey Wheat Bread. We finished every bite between the three of us and will definitely be back.

I've been here several times for brunch with friends over the past 3 years, and Coppin's has never disappointed in any area. Macie was an excellent server along with everyone else who interacted with us in this recent visit.

Amazing breakfast food and atmosphere for a hotel restaurant. The singular pancake is $9 which is a bit steep, but we enjoyed our meal and will be back!

The service was excellent, food was average and very expensive for a simple pasta dish which I could make at home for a couple dollars. The chairs are huge and ceilings are extremely high. It felt like dining in a rotunda. They have a huge selection of Kentucky Bourbon and, if you are a fan, this might be a great place to try.

Beautiful place, good for brunch with the girls or just a fancy feeling breakfast. We had a nice time. It was a little expensive for what it was and parking was a little difficult (but we were able to find some street parking a block or so away). Overall I would go back the next time I was in town.

My party had a delightful dinner experience at Coppins yesterday. The steak frites with chimichurri sauce was delicious and paired perfectly with the beef fat fries. Secondary for desert was the coconut panna cotta with mango custard garnish for dessert and was a hit with my party. Our server was polite and timed everything perfectly. However, my party was a tad disappointed by the absence of the delicious hamburger with the addition from the newly revised menu. Overall, a pleasant evening with great food and service. BRING BACK THE BURGER!!!

Great atmosphere, elegant and beautiful. Service was amazing as well. Both the Cornbread and mushroom appetizers were wonderful.

I had heard great things about Coppin's but I was quite disappointed. The restaurant was beautiful and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. We ordered the smoked pork belly appetizer and I found it to be dry, chewy, and overcooked. The flavors were good, but it was the toughest pork belly I've ever had. Some parts had the consistency of jerky. Next up was the steak frites. The beef fat fries were amazing. I would eat those everyday. However, the sirloin was woefully unseasoned and the beef had almost no flavor. I ordered it med rare but it was a bit tough and hard to chew with the connective tissue that was prevalent in the cut I was served. Another member of our group also ordered the steak and had the exact same feedback. He'd had it before and said it was good but this time it was not. Hopefully it was just an off night for the kitchen. There was a wedding there that night, so they may have been overwhelmed. But with a bill of over $200 for 2 adults, including only 3 or 4 cocktails, I don't see a need to return.

Atrium dining area was beautiful. Food was ample portions, although the quality was slightly lacking, with the exception of the zucchini fritters. The zucchini fritters were excellent! When we arrived, they tried to seat us at a table for two up against a brick wall, with a table for four within tight proximity. Considering that the dining room was almost completely unoccupied, I found this extremely off-putting. We had the reservations for more than two weeks. The hostess did agree to seat us at a better table, and the dining room continued to be slow until just before we left, which was more than an hour. The constant running through the dining area by the wait staff was a bit excessive, considering that the room was less than half occupied. The dining room is on the end of the restaurant, not in the middle.

Food was nothing special to write home about. The service was excellent! Atmosphere was nice.

6 of us went for a birthday brunch! Food was great I got the veggie omelette and potato’s, coffee was also good our table got a vanilla latte and a matcha. It did take a while to come out but it was a busy Sunday brunch. The only issue was our server was nowhere to be found, I guess she left at some point without saying anything and then it took us 30 mins of sitting there before anyone came over to get checks/ boxes. At that point we had run out of coffee and water and had not seen anyone since our food was dropped off. Kinda of strange since this place is pretty expensive and there was staff running around it just seems odd we’d have to flag people down for help after our waitress disappeared. Seems like other reviews are good so maybe this is a rare occurrence. We’re also all between 22-24 so maybe they just didn’t care as much who knows!

It’s a cool space and the service is usually very good. Many flavors of mimosa to choose from. The biscuits and gravy are excellent. Most recently I got a cheeseburger and I was really disappointed, I only ate a few bites it was so bad. Our server clearly saw I did not eat it and did not want a box to take it home because it was so bad, but did not offer to get anything else or take it off the bill. It really took away from the experience and that the food my wife got was great.

Ordered the halibut ($34) and was served a 4oz portion (2x2 cube) and beans. Is this Cracker Barrel….Beans? Who is the culinary genius behind that one? Add in the 1/4 leaf of shredded kale and there’s your $34. Obviously, a horrible value. The halibut was fine but nothing special. We did order martinis which were very tasty but once again very small pours. The service overall was below average (server was nice but had too many tables). The best thing about Hotel Covington/Coppin’s is the atmosphere and vibe which is great, especially the lobby bar area. I would recommend the bar area for a drink but head elsewhere for dinner.

The food was overall good. I had the “prime rib” which was just a thin skirt steak that was blackened, asked for horse radish sauce and got raw horse radish. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for $95. The atmosphere, drinks and bourbon selection are awesome! Our server did a great job with our party of 12, but the fact that Coppins refuses to split bills is ridiculous and was a big part of what we talked about at dinner. The server blamed it on the new system, not sure if that was BS or not, but I can’t imagine any restaurant software wouldn’t allow you to split a bill. So today I spent 20 minutes trying to split it and sending Venmo requests to my friends for a $1,200 bill…

Pleasantly Mediocre at best. 3 of ordered the Steak Frites. All were cold, with undressed salads. Unimpressive for the price. Menu very meh, limited with little to choose from. Nice atmosphere, but do not recommend. Our 2nd time here ... both times food was disappointing 😞. We spent over $100 per person with drinks for dinner only to be disappointed again! We won't be giving it a 3rd try. We're done.
