Opinions de Burning Rice Dallas
Tonight, I had the pleasure of dining at Benihana, and the experience was exceptional. Although I visited for a date night, this location is perfect for a variety of occasions—from girls’ nights and family outings to birthday celebrations, even with children. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and our chef delivered an engaging and entertaining performance that made the evening truly memorable. I enjoyed the Pan fried gyoza dumplings, Las Vegas sushi roll, Benihana trio hibachi, and the banana tempura and strawberry mochi dessert—all of which were delicious. Omg!!! I almost forgot the drinks. I had so many I can’t remember. But the sake flight was amazing. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it for both the food and the unforgettable experience.
You guys made my gf’s bday so special! The Waygu was amazing! Drinks amazing! The Chef Cameron was so funny and the food was amazing! He had us cracking up! Our server Luis was so accommodating! He even brought out a mocktail for the birthday girl’s 6yr old! 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ experience!
Our chef was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing. Our waitress was cool up until people started pouring in then we never saw her again. But I'd still come back pretty sure it was hard multitasking during lunch.
We had an amazing experience at Benihana celebrating my aunt’s birthday. Our teppan chef Vince was absolutely fantastic. He was engaging, funny, and incredibly skilled, making the entire table feel entertained and included. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the service throughout the night was attentive and welcoming. As a breast cancer survivor, I was especially touched by the breast cancer ribbon. That small but meaningful detail meant a lot to me and made the experience feel even more special and thoughtful. Overall, it was a wonderful celebration, and Vince truly made the night memorable. We will definitely be back.
Chef Camron was fantastic. We waited a very long time after a reservation time, which is somewhat expected given the holiday, but Camron was awesome. He put on a great show and was fun and in good spirits despite guests being upset with the wait. He’s the best Benihana chef I’ve ever had and he should win the Chef of the Year award.
I had a fantastic experience at the hibachi! Chef Vince was amazing — not only was he skilled and creative with the cooking, but also incredibly entertaining. He kept the whole table smiling while serving up delicious food in a timely manner. The performance, flavors, and atmosphere made it a night to remember. Highly recommend!
Okay listen… our reservation was for 4:45 and we were NOT SAT UNTIL 5:35… we then waited 45 minutes for our drinks, received salads with no dressing (because they were out) and our dumplings came out COLD. I’m giving this restaurant 5 stars BECAUSE the STAFF HELD IT TOGETHER! As someone in the service industry, I’m aware of the fires that burn behind the scenes. Chef Cameron was AMAZING and deserves every bit of success he earns in this industry.
We tried Benihana for birthday. Staff were nice and friendly. The chef was very energetic and funny! We enjoyed our night there. Food quality was great. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re into fun things. P.S.: It might not be the best choice for little kids. There was one at our table and got scared of noise and fire and cried a lot.
We have been to this location several times and ALWAYS had a great experience; their chefs are friendly and fun and the food is always great! THIS time, though, I want to review something else -- if you've noticed that they offer a "Chef Experience" and you're on the fence about whether to do it... DO IT!! My husband signed me up and the experience involves a lesson on one day (the chef shows you how to prepare a meal and then you get to prepare one) and then you schedule a meal for up to eight people that YOU GET TO COOK (and learn how to load up the cart and all the fun stuff you get to do)! It was really the most fun I've had in a long, long time! Chef Manny, who taught me what to do and then made sure I didn't go rogue while cooking, was absolutely AMAZING! He's a great teacher and walks a fantastic line between letting you actually do the cooking and making sure you don't face plant on the grill or burn the shrimp... he was attentive and perfect (ask for him if you sign up because he is the GOAT!). Having said that, literally *everyone* there was encouraging and kind and really wanted to make sure things went well and were enjoyable. The guests we had in for the meal thought it was fantastic experience, too; I got texts all evening long about how much they enjoyed themselves. It's a new-ish program at this location; but, if you're thinking it might be a fun thing to do, please know that it IS a fun thing to do and you should sign up for it!
I came here on a Thursday for dinner with friends & it was a great time! The waitress was so kind, sweet and attentive! We had the head chef & it was a pretty good hibachi show! Some of my favorites on the menu that I ate were the… 🍤 Tempura Shrimp 🥒 Tempura Vegetables 🍱 Chilli Shrimp Roll + Sticky Rice 🍣 Las Vegas Roll (Deep Fried) 🥩 Benihana Trio 🍌 Banana Tempura In terms of the ambiance, it’s not as fancy as some of the other Benihana restaurants I’ve been to, but it’s very clean and their staff is really attentive. Ask for extra garlic butter on your rice & grilled food for a little extra flavor. I appreciated that they had frozen drinks as mocktails, but I’d like to see them add some crafted mocktails to the menu. Every drink I dipped was delicious but the mango colada was my favorite. My friends ordered cocktails and really enjoyed the white peach saki sangria and kept talking about how good it was! Overall, a really great experience! 9.2/10 is a win for me!! I feel like you can never go wrong with Benihana!
Chef Cam was excellent. He was not only patient and careful with ensuring the entire order was correct, but he had tons of unique tricks as well that in my 15 years of going to Benihana I’ve ever seen. If possible, I highly request Chef Cam, he is incredible and charming.
What an amazing staff@Benihana Addision. The wait staff ,chef and manager Terry did an excellent job after we were told at the Las Colinas they were full all evening. We had traveled from Mansfield. The foodcwas so good andcprepared well. The wait and chef was very personable and fun. We will come again but wish we could get a Benihana's close to Arlington, Grand Prairie or Mansfield.
My wife and I went for out for an evening dinner on Saturday 02/21. Our meal was hot and fresh and the drinks were fantastic. The general manager stopped by our table to check on us , she was very kind and professional . I would highly recommend this location for your date nights and celebrations.
I had the pleasure of dining at Benihana with Chef Cameron, and I can honestly say he made the experience unforgettable! From start to finish, his skill, showmanship, and attention to detail were absolutely top-notch. The way he effortlessly combined entertainment with precision cooking was amazing—every flip of the spatula and sizzle on the grill was a delight to watch. Chef Cameron was engaging, friendly, and clearly passionate about his craft. Not only did he prepare our meal perfectly, but he also made the entire table feel included in the fun, creating an energy that made our dinner so much more than just a meal—it was an experience. It’s no surprise he’s up for Chef of the Year! If you get the chance to have him at your table, don’t miss it. Benihana is lucky to have such a talented chef!
This was my boyfriend and I’s first time going to a Benihana or any kind of restaurant like this and it was AMAZING! We made reservations for 6:30 and got seated right away, our waiter was very attentive and kind which was great. And our chef Aaron was sooo much fun!! Explained everything to us and made the experience very comforting and so exciting. It was so mesmerizing watching him do his thing haha! He definitely made our night! The food was so delicious, the chicken and shrimp were seasoned and cooked to perfection and the, I believe it’s mustard sauce, that they bring out with the food was heavenly. It was all perfect and well worth it! I would definitely recommend this location if you’re in the DFW area and wanting to make a special memory! Food and a show?! Can’t get much better than that!! 😄
Chief Cameron is the reason for my review. Great attitude, energy and vibe. He made the entire table feel like it was a personal event. And his cooking 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾 top of the line! We will be more than happy to wait for a seat at his table when we come back!
This was The absolute best experience that we have ever had any Benihana’s in the USA. Our server possessed top-tier customer service, impeccable personality, very attentive no mistakes were made. I forgot her name because Cam our chef stole the show with tricks, personality he connected with everyone at the table, we became cousins with total strangers and Cam is officially my “Nephew.” The taste and quality of the food captivated us in such a way we pledge to never eat at the Benihana‘s in Irving, Tx ever again even in Dallas, we will drive an hour to Addison if we have to. Thank You 🙏🏾 to the Addison Benihana 🖤
I have so many good things to say about my experience. First a foremost the staff were very inviting and made the experience feel very inviting and homely. The service was very quick and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. Our chef Cam was every bit of amazing. Very professional and nice. He was so great with our kids and made them light up at the experience. The food was astounding and cooked to perfection. He was very talented with the utensils and can easily say was one of the best food performances I have experienced at this type of food setting. Will definitely be returning and specifically asking for him. What an amazing way to spend the holidays thanks Chef Cam for the wonderful evening.
We had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Benihana while celebrating my birthday and my younger brother’s birthday. We requested Chef Manny, and as always, he delivered an unforgettable dinner. Every time I come, I ask for Manny his cooking, his personality, and the overall experience he creates are unmatched. Our waiter, Luis Perez, was incredible. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure our entire table was taken care of from start to finish. The service overall was fantastic. I also want to thank the manager, Jeremy, for checking in on us and ensuring everything went smoothly. And a special thank you to Jillian Burns she was absolutely amazing, incredibly accommodating, and provided exceptional customer service throughout our visit. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the Center Cut Filet Mignon the Chateaubriand easily one of the highlights of the night I would make sure to get it Medium Rare! We also loved the seasonal punch bowls they were a fun addition and perfect for our group. We’re very thankful that the team was able to accommodate our larger party on such short notice. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back.
I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a meal prepared by an incredible habatchi chef, and I can confidently say he was a beast! From the moment he stepped up to the grill, his energy and skill were evident. The way he expertly handled the knives, flipped ingredients, and engaged with the guests created an unforgettable atmosphere. Every dish he prepared was not only delicious but also a work of art. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was top-notch. The chef's charisma added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience, making it feel like a true celebration rather than just a meal. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines fantastic food with entertainment, I highly recommend booking a habatchi chef like this one. He truly knows how to impress and leave a lasting impression! -ChapGPT
Camron was my chef & he was amazing! Very entertaining & personable. His grill presentation was memorable. Luis was my server & he was fantastic, too!
I feel like there's a set expectation for a full dining experience when you visit Benihana. This location exceeded those expectations. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves and our delicious lunch. I also met the manager, Amanda, who was a delight. You can tell she has passion behind what she does. The chef, Luis, was amazing. The food was fresh, the flavor was big, and the vibe was on point. Ill definitely be visiting this location again.
Chef Cameron was absolutely amazing! He was entertaining, personable, and made the entire experience so much fun. The bar service was a little slow, but once the show started it was totally worth the wait. Cameron truly made the day truly memorable.
I kicked off my birthday celebration at Benihana and had the pleasure of trying their Wagyu of the World menu. I sampled all three — American, Japanese, and Australian Wagyu — and each one was absolutely exceptional. The steaks were seasoned to perfection, incredibly tender, and melted in our mouths with every bite. We also tried the four new butters — Truffle, Lobster, Wagyu, and Hot Honey — each adding a unique and flavorful twist that elevated the meal. The staff was amazing, providing warm and personalized service throughout our visit. Chef Cameron was especially knowledgeable and patient in explaining the differences between the meats and butters. Overall, a 10/10 experience and an unforgettable way to start my birthday celebration!
Chef Cameron was EVERYTHING!!! Incredible hospitality, AMAZING food, and the coolest tricks he had our entire table laughing nonstop. The energy, the vibes, the experience… top-tier! I would honestly have Cameron as my chef all year round if I could. Thank you for welcoming me and my family with such a huge, unforgettable Benihana welcome. This is how you do it!!!
Hands down the best service I've experienced in a long time. Novals was amazing and made my dining experience a 10 out of 10. 😊
Had an amazing time! Chef Camron was amazing, funny and very talented. He kept the conversation going, especially with the kids.
If you come here, make sure you ask for Aaron r! He makes the best food and his customer service is truly top-tier. He was super nice, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can really tell he cares about his customers. Highly recommend him!”
We went to Benihana on Belt Line in Addison in the middle of the day and didn’t know if we would get a show — but we did! Our chef and entertainer, One, was so much fun and made the meal extra special. We also had a great waiter who took good care of us. The food was amazing! My favorites were the chicken and shrimp, but the steak was pretty yummy too. If you come here with a party, request One — you’ll have a blast!

I was visiting from Cali and came into eat on Christmas Day, the chef Cameron was really good with his customer service, engagement and tricks! The table really loved him!
Cam was our chef and he was AMAZING! He seasoned everything perfectly. Even though, my mom and I were the only ones at the table he didn't skimp on anything. I loved his laser light show and knife skills. I've never had a better time at a restaurant. The waiter was very attentive as well. I almost don't want to let the secret out but this is the best Benihans in Dallas. We are always seated quickly and they are so friendly here. Come here for great food and atmosphere. And ask for CAM!

Our family chose Benihana for a traditional Christmas dining experience, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. We had a reservation for 4:00 PM but were not seated until approximately 4:30 PM. To their credit, the host did inform us they were running behind schedule. After being seated, we waited over 30 minutes before our server arrived to take our drink order. Service improved slightly once beverages were served, but the delay continued. The chef did not arrive at our table until around 6:15 PM. During this time, I spoke with the General Manager to express our concerns. While she acknowledged the situation and was courteous, the restaurant continued accepting reservations and walk-ins despite being significantly behind schedule. On a positive note, our chef, Miguel, was outstanding. He noticed our frustration and went above and beyond to create an enjoyable experience with his skill and humor. The food itself was very good. However, given the extended delays and overall experience, we will not be returning on Christmas Day.
First of all, I just want to say the overall ambience and service of Benihanas is great, but it just didn’t live up to what I was expecting in terms of taste and quality based on pricing. I definitely feel like you pay more for the experience than the food because the portion sizes are crazy small for what you’re paying. I ordered the seafood combo which was about $40 and I received five pieces of shrimp two scallops and two small pieces of squid that were chopped and drowned in vegetables, very disappointing.

I took my mother-in-law to Benihana for her birthday, and unfortunately the experience was really disappointing. From the start, the service was lacking. We didn’t receive drink refills, and our server, Luis seemed inattentive throughout the meal. Most upsetting was that he completely forgot about her birthday — the entire reason we were there — yet he was very quick to bring the check. When I spoke to Carmen, the manager, she claimed the server was “waiting until the end,” which simply wasn’t true. He had clearly forgotten. She then said she would make sure they sang and that we’d get a picture taken, never apologized or came back to see if we were satisfied. They sang and it was the most awkward interaction. There was no apology and no effort to make the situation right. A birthday dinner should feel special, and this experience felt rushed and disregarded. Very disappointing.
Cameron was amazing and is carrying this place! Good personality and good cook. Our server and manger was very mediocre. It was me and my husband’s first time so we had a lot of questions. She was friendly at first when answering but that seemed to ware off. We were ready to put our order in but she didn’t come back until another family showed up ab 10 min later. She went to them and took their order then ours. It was clear she was avoiding us. Not even sure if she told us her name. Our salad was half full. This place is not cheap so I expected amazing service from start to finish. The spicy hibachi shrimp was good. When I informed the manager about my issues he didn’t listen very well and mostly made the issue about the salad and walked off before I was finished speaking with him? You want another salad? I’ll get you another salad-as if HE was frustrated. Overall we decided we would not be back. It’s not worth the money. When paying over $100 for a meal it better be AMAZING from start to finish.

Took my daughter here for her birthday, hoping to get the ultimate experience and that didn't happen. The chef was boring, no entertainment at all, he was also very stingy with the portions of food for the amount of money that I paid. The food was bland and undercooked, he was sloppy, food was flying everywhere while he was cooking on the grill. Overall for the amount of money paid, horrible experience especially on my daughter’s birthday. I would recommend trying a different location. Only plus is that we had a good server.
On January 7th I booked my reservations for 12 people. On January 17th which the reservation was for we got there and had to wait 30 mins to an hour. We were fine waiting because It’s my birthday celebration. We finally was taken to our tables it was only one chef. He started taking drink orders, then someone asked if he was going to be cooking for both tables he said yes. We’ve been to another location before so we know that’s not how it’s done.He took a long time bringing the drinks. When he came with the drinks and then took the food order. He left again we started to take pictures still enjoying my celebration. I noticed he hadn’t been back after about 15 mins. Then a lady came to check on us I asked about our chef after that she brought the salads and soups.I was thinking they are going start cooking No. My husband told the young lady if it’s going to be a long wait we’re leaving. They brought two chefs to dinner.I’m pescatarian and I don’t eat eggs so the chef was making the fried rice but I noticed he put eggs in all of the rice. I corrected him it was fine. He got some more and went over our orders. The atmosphere was a little better the chef spilled hot sauce all over my friend white outfit and fur jacket. The chef felt bad about.it.and the manager was called. She didn’t apologize she gave my friend some sprite and a towel to get the stain out. I was so upset that when they came out to sing happy birthday I was over it.The bills came and they want my friend to pay for a service that hot sauce ruined her outfit she refused so the manager took care of it. The manager was horrible throughout except for taking care of my friend bill. I won’t be coming back again it was the worse birthday celebration ever.
My wife and I planned a Valentine's weekend and Benihana was our dinner choice we made reservations for well in advance. We were very excited as we have never been to Benihana but have been to many other local hibachis. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation at 6 pm only to be told that they were still seating the 4:30 pm reservations. The hostess told us it would be an additional hour to 1.5 hour wait. We luckily found a seat at the bar quickly when a couple left and decided to eat dinner at the bar. This was a major mistake. The restaurant was understaffed and unprepared for a Valentine's dinner. There was only one bartender taking care of the bar, bar table tops and making drinks for the other table customers. While he was very nice, he would keep apologizing to everyone on the slow service. Our starting soup and salad eventually arrived and was good. It did take about 45 minutes until our main course would come out. We were told by the bartender that the cook ran out of fried rice and he could either bring out the meal without the rice or keep it back there under the heat lamp until the rice was made. We opted to take what was ready and wait for the rice to show. My wife's chicken was extremely dry, my medium rare steak was beyond well done and the lobster and vegetables were cold. The rice never came nor did our dessert. After being there for over two hours, I went and spoke to the floor manager who was bussing table to notify him of the failure of operating that restaurant so poorly. He was unprepared for that dinner service and generally did not have an understanding of how to operate a restaurant efficiently. The bartender took 10% off our meal which about covered the amount of food we didn't receive. Overall, it was a terrible experience but will never go back. There are so many other local hibachis that i would rather visit with great food, customer service and an amazing dining experience. Benihana corporate has not responded to anything written directly to them as of this post.
My husband and I planned a date night for Valentine’s Day on Feb 15. We had a 7:15 reservation and didn’t get seated until 8:05. Then it was another hour seated before we got a chef. Server also asked if I wanted “chicken fried rice or regular” as if it came with my meal and it was a $7.50 up charge. I had to clarify with her, in which she laughed and said oh everyone usually just wants it so I assumed you would. Chef did a great job and was super kind and the server did great other than that
Now I am a very understanding person, but what I experienced for my Christmas night away from home was really beyond me. I booked a reservation at 6:00pm pretty far in advance (over a week) because I knew I wouldn’t be able to travel to be with family this year. I arrived 10 minutes early for my reservation and was immediately told that they were 30-40 minutes behind on reservations….which honestly floored me. But, I was offered seating at the bar (which thankfully people were just leaving, otherwise there were NO available seats at the bar or bar area to sit) or to wait in the lobby area or outside until they had seating available. I found seating at the bar and got drinks, talked and waited for over an hour. After asking the hosts how much longer the wait would be, I was told that they were just seating 5:15pm reservations. I waited another hour at the bar and listened to other customers explain that once they were seated, they were then waiting 30+ minutes for the chef to come start cooking. I completely understand being rushed during the holidays, especially Christmas Day, but how come customers who have reservations are waiting multiple hours to be seated??? I unfortunately, had to call it quits at 8:30pm, leave and find food elsewhere due to having to be somewhere by 10:00pm. By the time I would have been sat and waited for the chef to come, I would have to leave. I have never received such poor and uncoordinated service in my life, ESPECIALLY with a reservation… I genuinely hope this staff group finds a solution for their performance tonight, because I will never walk in there to eat again.
We waited over an hour pasted our reservation. The cook didn’t know how to cook the food right. He didn’t serve us out sauces before he started cooking and we had to ask for them. I had to tell him when to take my food off the grill or it all would have been over cooked. The rice had burnt spots and my shrimp. I added extra garlic butter and mustard sauce to everything and still wasn’t right because the food was over cooked. I got a refund for my dish only and for the beer and hot sake but that wasn’t enough overall it was horrible. The soup broth didn’t have any flavor and my hot sake had red things floating in it. We always got it the Dallas location which is great but this location sucks! If I never had Benihanas before this experience would have made me over eat there again. But this has been my favorite restaurant for the last 20 years. I just wont be going back to this location ever! You can see how dry and the burnt pieces in the rice from this photo. Just terrible.
We visited Benihana in Addison with a 9:00 PM reservation and arrived at 8:47 PM. We were seated around 9:10 PM, which was completely fine — no issue there. About 10 minutes later, a server came to take our drink orders. Roughly 30 minutes after that, we received our soup and salad. Unfortunately, when the server placed the bowls on the table, her hand was inside the rim of the bowl touching the food area, which was already concerning. After that… nothing. We had all reviewed the menu and were ready to order, but no one came back to our table. An entire hour passed without our server returning to check on us or take our entrée order. The only interaction we had was drinks, soup, and salad. No communication. No updates. No explanation. By the time I asked to speak to a manager, it was 10:30 PM — 30 minutes before closing. The restaurant, which had been packed when we arrived, was nearly empty. Tables around us had cleared out, staff were cleaning, and yet somehow no one noticed that our table had been sitting there for over an hour without placing a food order. When I spoke with the manager, she said she “wasn’t aware” that we had been waiting that long. That was extremely disappointing. It should not take a guest tracking someone down for management to realize a table has been neglected for over an hour. A chef named Arron was sent to our table to cook for us and honestly, he tried to save the experience. He was professional, kind, and repeatedly apologized — which, respectfully, should have been the manager’s responsibility. He did his best to lighten the mood, but at that point we were already frustrated and over it. We were told they were short staffed, but that still does not excuse a complete lack of communication or basic table checks. A simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. In the end, we received a small discount, but we still paid for a meal that started off with over an hour of being ignored. The manager never came back to personally follow up with us at the table. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Poor communication, lack of attentiveness, and management oversight made what should have been an enjoyable night out turn into frustration. I would not recommend this location based on our experience.
