Opinions de Ichiro Ramen Dallas
This is the second location for Ichiro, with the original probably a mile down the street on Maple. This location is MUCH newer and has a nicer ambience with easier parking. I probably go here once a week and I wish I lived closer because I'd be here every single day. Image below is the Ichiro Ramen. Everything I've tried here is great. I definitely recommend the Tonkotsu Kuro ramen with added Homemade Spicy Paste! If you've had ramen at other places such as Ramen Akira in Carrollton, or Mr. Max in Irving, you will not be disappointed with what you can get at Ichiro. Karaage is absolutely delicious with the dipping sauce. It's different from other karaage I've had at places like Mr. Max, but it's still divine.
My new favorite ramen shop in DFW! The tonkotsu broth was delicious & had a strong garlic flavoring (it’s one of the many things that makes it so good). I really like the clear yellow noodles that they use. The soft boil egg was really good as well, I should’ve ordered a second one! I had the spicy sauce on the side, adding a bit enhanced the flavors. I also tried the takoyaki - also one of the best I’ve had.
It's time I write my love letter to Ichiro! My love for Ichiro started back in 2019 (at their original location), and we've been going strong ever since! I fell in love the moment I tasted the seafood spicy miso ramen. Let me just tell you... it's heavenly! I'm a PhD student at UTSW, and I feel like Ichiro has been a big part of my journey-- I'll definitely be giving them a shout out in my acknowledgements section of my thesis. Haha Ichiro has become such a special place to hang out for my friends. If we have a bad day in the lab, you know what will fix it? ICHIRO! If I have something to celebrate, do you know where I'll celebrate? ICHIRO! I'm proud to say I've celebrated my birthday there the last couple of years - it's always my celebratory meal of choice! :) I absolutely love the atmosphere, everyone that works there (I'd like to say I consider the employees my friends at this point, haha). So if you want delicious spicy Miso with great service and atmosphere, head to Ichiro! You won't be disappointed!
Got the garlic scented edamame, vegetarian shoyu ramen, and my coworker got gluten free beef ramen. All were absolutely delicious and served fast. Prices were very affordable. The tofu in my ramen was the best tofu I have ever had. Very flavorful. Service was kind and efficient. They were accommodating to my special requests of no egg.
We had the Kaarage, Takoyaki, Spicy Meso Ramen, and Tonkatsu Kuro. Kaarage was excellent with a slight spicyness to the seasoning. Takoyaki was very crispy with plenty of bonito flakes. The spicy miso ramen was moderately spicy with the richness of the broth taking center stage. The Kuro ramen was delightfully garlic forward without being overwhelming. Both Ramen had delicate and delicious pork cuts that were ultra tender. Highly recommend!
Relaxing atmosphere, the service courteous and prompt. The tonkotsu ramen was top notch delicious, definitely a great ramen stop.
The new location of Ichiro Sapporo Ramen is just as impressive as the original, offering the same high-quality dining experience in a fresh and modern setting. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Ichiro Sapporo Ramen is sure to exceed your expectations.
Delicious Ramen, great variety! I visited on a whim for lunch with a friend and couldn't be more pleased. Service is excellent, and staff are welcoming as soon as you walk in. The spicy misl Ramen was excellent, and the chicken karaage was deliciously crisp and hot. The steam buns, I would recommend to anyone. You have to try them! Probably by favorite part of the meal besides drinking the broth of my spicy miso.
The atmosphere of this place is really nice. There was only one waiter but he came by every ten minutes to make sure we were ok. The broth, chashuu, noodles, eggs were all A++. My group came a few days earlier and the host remembered them. The chicken karaage was very good too thick pieces with savory complementary sauce. Ordered the tonkotsu standard, was pretty good.
The food, environment and customer service here is incredible. We ordered the Grilled chicken shio, Beef shoyu ramens and Pork bbq steamed buns for $36. The noodles were elastic, the broth had complex flavors and the meats were cooked perfectly tender. The pork bbq buns gave me chills from how good they tasted. I would highly recommend them to all. The environment is great for small or large groups with the different table sizes between the split levels. The music was back to back bangers. I was surprised by the variety of the playlist. Lastly the customer service was beyond phenomenal. In the middle of our meal I signaled the waiter from across the restaurant and they RAN to me and completed my request. At the end I asked the owner who was cleaning for a to-go menu. They gave me the new print out of the menu which they told me would be swapped into the plastic cover menus tonight.
Delicious food, way beyond great service and the atmosphere is very nice. Everyone really enjoyed their meals.
Delecious. Filling.. the broth was as tasty as it looks. The gyoza was perfect, the takoyaki was hot and perfect on the outside as it was creamy on the inside. The ramen was deliciously perfect, hot broth and noodles, a bite of that chilled egg and bamboo shoots, the sliced pork crispy... It won't be my last time here, plenty of parking, wonderful staff, great food, and plenty of open tables!
Delicious ramen and a great cozy atmosphere. This was our first time here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the Shio Ramen with Chicken and found it exceptionally tasty. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be coming back and recommend it without question.
It's a small shop, so the parking is bad, but when you get inside its fine. We were warmly greeted and seated. I ordered beef shoyu and my sister ordered Tokyo style chicken shoyu. They were beautiful (see photos) and smelled so good. It was a very filling meal. I enjoyed the ambiance and the lack of screens for a change. I'm really happy I noticed a free parking place and stopped.
Great ramen!!!! 🍜 this is some of the most authentic ramen available in Dallas. (i am a little picky and that’s what happens after you visit Japan). Great broth and very tasty pork. I’ve been back probably at least 6 times so far in the past 3-4 months. Everyone is really friendly as well so that a plus. Get there early or it can be difficult to find seating.
Went with two people. We have experience with ramen. Amazing and very authentic. Def come back. The Gyoza is on point.
The Pho was excellent, as were the crispy spring rolls. When in the area we'll definitely stop back.
Best spicy miso I’ve ever had!! So flavorful and you can control the spice level. The egg was cooked perfectly. Overall so delicious. I got it without meat and ordered chicken karaage on the side. I have to be honest I didn’t enjoy the chicken karaage. They used a lot of dark meat and the coating was more oily than crispy. But still deserves 5 stars because of the miso ramen!
Food is amazing!!! I love the karage and croquettes. I also love the workers and how kind they are. The spicy beef ramen isn’t fav!!!!!! 10/10
Love the old location - my favorite ramen place in DFW. New location is just as good, though they're using a limited "soft opening" menu. Still, they have the spicy miso ramen so that's all I need. Garlic edamame is also great, though be warned - they do not skimp on the garlic! Cannot recommend this place enough!
It doesn't look like much on the outside, but they have amazing ramen. Noodles perfectly Al dente. Pork belly has a nice char and falls apart with the slightest touch of the chopstick. Soft boiled egg has the good consistency and flavor. Both the red curry ramen and tonkotsu kuro ramen had wonderful depth of flavors. Moderately priced, 10-13 per bowl. Definitely coming back.
I enjoyed my ramen here. It was brought out quickly and was very tasty. The guys behind the bar were also friendly and were quick to provide me with extra napkins since I can't eat ramen neatly 😆. Good price, too. Great, if you're in the area. I am curious to try some other stuff on the menu.
My first time eating at Ichiro Ramen Shop was so delightful. This is my partners favorite ramen spot in Dallas and she has been trying to get me here for weeks. Her favorite is the chicken red curry ramen which she describes as a spicy curry base with tons of flavor. I really enjoyed the tan tan vegetarian broth with a side of shrimp. The sweet tofu skin is so delicious, being soaked in a flavorful broth it still holds a bit of crunch. Our child's ramen was really delicious once I added it to my broth. 😂. The staff were all pretty friendly, and helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and giving this amazing ramen shop a try. Food 5/5 Service 4/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Parking 4/5
Delicious ramen noodles in a rich broth - the soup is so tasty that you can drink the whole bowl! Prices are slightly higher for the portion. Staff are friendly and courteous. Minimal decor, clean premise, a few parking spots at the front, has a bar. Try their traditional noodles in the red box on the menu.
The environment was really calming and the workers were nice talking with. The food was pretty good! I would definitely go back to this place if I'm in the area again 👍👍❤ Also, Parkland hospital is literally down the street from the place. So if you don't want hospital food, this should be your next stop.
I recently visited Ichiro Sapporo Ramen in Dallas and regretfully came too late - they had already cleaned up the fried pod station. I ordered the Spice Miso Ramen and it was really really good. I would highly recommend for anyone to try it. I did not try their other appetizers, but from what I could tell, they looked delicious - my advice would be to definitely get the ramen, but maybe skip the gyoza.
Updated Post: Try the new location!!!! It’s currently on a limited menu but very worth it. Original Post: I am not a fan of Ramen but this place could possibly change that. The fried rice was ok (wish they would let me have extra vegetables as an option instead of meat. The staff is awesome! There are about 10 parking spots; so don't just meet friends there....drive together. The thicker noodles (udon) are delicious, based on my daughters review.
Unfortunately their payment system was down, but they did offer cash or zelle as alternatives, and they let us know right away. It did take a couple of minutes for someone to come to our table, but once he did he was reliable. The food was fantastic, the pork belly the ramen was delicious. We also tried the BBQ pork steamed buns which were amazing. The chicken karaage and beef both were also delicious.
My husband and I are already planning our next date here, and I don't like coming into Dowtown Dallas for ANYTHING (so it has to be good). Very cute restaurant, exceedingly friendly staff, excellent food, and bathrooms are clean! We got the Chicken Karaage, Spicy Miso, and Tonkotsu Kuro. Everything was great, but will probably skip the starter next time so we can fit some dessert in there. In conclusion, just go!
A good “hole in the wall” ramen spot. I say that because the place is a bit run down but don’t let that stop you from visiting. Hands down one of the best ramen places I’ve been to! Giving it 4 stars because the kimchi was not fresh as well as a bit soggy and the place could use some updating.
Value for food was excellent. I had the spicy miso ramen and it was delicious. They are applying for and should receive their beer and wine license in the near future. Inside atmosphere in the side dining room leaves a bit to be desired. It is has plain white walls with no pictures. In the center dining area there is an interesting mural.
Delicious food served quickly, offering a variety of flavors. The beef shoyu was excellent, and the Ichiro Ramen with barbecue pork belly was even better.
The first time here, when visited in Dallas. And I really like the place, it's clean, comfortable and they're fast serving food. The price is also affordable at a price of $ 3-13. THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD, FOR REAL!!!!! Too bad on the lack of parking spaces in the restaurant. But you can park across the street (Kroger).
The best to enjoy this amazing place is early, like 11:30a.m., to beat the lunch rush. Me and my mother ordered the Gyoza and Squid legs for the appetizers. The Gyoza was delicious as well as the Squid legs. The batter on the legs was light, not too much nor extra oily, it was perfect. The crunch and texture were just muah! The main dishes that we ordered were the Tonkatsu and shiyo aka #3. I had the shiyo w/ pork and it was perfect for me. Not too much filling, especially with the broth, and the pork was divine. Taste like a fresh chicharron with that goey, slim line of flavorful fat. Broth had chicken aroma and well topped off with green onion. The Tonkatsu for me was good, but the broth was a bit more sweet for my tasting. I had the idea/ideal comparison of the one from Costco, which doesn't have much sweetness. Overall, good portions, well made dishes, clean and pleasant environment, service was fantastic and very polite. The only flaw thing I have, besides the slightly sweet Tonkatsu, is the parking. It's very cramped but then again, it's expensive to find and invest in a good area for a restaurant, so I can't blame them on that.
Great underrated ramen spot in Dallas! Got the Tonkotsu Kuro Ramen and it was packed full of flavor. The broth, pork belly, and noodles were delicious & perfectly cooked. Portions were perfect too, there was so much pork belly, what a steal for the price!! The small plates are great too, they came out fresh and hot and had plenty of flavor. I loved the chicken karaage & takoyaki!
Great experience, easy parking, seating was choose your own spot. Had the house special Ichiro ramen and was blown away. I did order a side of gyoza that never came. I asked the sever later in the meal but declined due to the size of ramen being too much food. They actually gave a discount due to the mishap. Will be a returning customer for sure!!!
Came here for dinner during the week. Was greeted by several friendly staff and seated right away. Having been to Sapporo for the Snow and Ice festival, I've eaten authentic Sapporo Miso ramen many times. Ramen and karaage is a very common comfort food in Japan. With that, I ordered the Spicy Miso ramen with thick noodles and a small side of karaage. Both came out together in about 10 minutes. Ramen was presented nicely. It wasn't as spicy as I expected, but was still good. Karaage was also good.
Ichiro Sapporo Ramen is hands down one of my favorite spots in Dallas! I’ve been here a few times, and every visit has been fantastic. This time, I had the Tonkotsu Ramen and the Gyoza, and both were absolutely delicious. The broth in the Tonkotsu Ramen is rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked noodles and tender pork. The Gyoza was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside – just the way I like it! The food is consistently excellent, and the service is always friendly. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic, high-quality ramen!
First time here and was pleasantly satisfied. I ordered the spicy miso and it was delicious. Not too spicy, but perfect. I also ordered some chicken karaage and it was juicy and yummy. The service and staff were great. Food came out reasonable quick and was hot. Would definitely come back again!
A new favorite for ramen! Loved the spicy miso ramen. Great flavor, traditional miso broth. I added chicken, it was tender and a nice compliment too. Lots of other non-spicy options too. The dining area was spacious and welcoming. We were greeted right away. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly! This location opened the fall of 2021. Was definitely pleased with the Food and service! Look forward to trying more the next time!
Some of the best Ramen I've had in a while! The vibe is very relaxed and intimate. The service was superb. Nice and clean with great seating arrangement. I got the Spicy Miso Bowl and it was delicious! The other plate was a Beef Ramen bowl, also very good. Parking is rough if the place is busy. Luckily we were able to find an opening as soon as someone was leaving. Some of the best Ramen I've had 👌 Grab a friend and enjoy the dish. Highly recommend!
This place has always been great, Bowl is massive and broth flavorful, Noodle texture is also amazing.
AMAZING spicy ramen and karaage!!! They have generous size portions! Love this place!
The food and service was awesome. I'd definitely come back and brings my friends and family.

Superb service: fast and friendly! I had the pork belly Tonkatsu and Chicken Karage! Delish and the prices were great!
The atmosphere is amazing. The soup is very delicious. Definitely coming back here if I'm ever in Dallas again. My kids also loved it super inviting.
Food quality = EXCELLENT Service = EXCELLENT Environment = EXCELLENT Can't say enough about this place. This will definitely be a new favorite hot spot!

Had a birthday dinner there. The plates came out looking amazing. Their plating is awesome. I sampled everything! Lol. Steamed buns w/pork belly, chicken karaage, gyoza. I had the Beef Ramen. Tried the seafood udon, ichiro Ramen and tonkotsu (the clear winner for flavor). The only downside was the Birthday girl had her water spilled on her and her phone. I personally think her meal should have been comped or a discount for her ticket would have made things right.
I had the Ichiro ramen, very solid and tasty ramen. Not quite 5 star taste compared to other places but still delicious. I can't give a 4.5 so I'll round up to a 5. Tons of char siu in the bowl, and a good amount of noodles as well. Main complaint was the massive pile of bean sprouts on the bowl, never understood why some places put them in ramen, it's just cheap filler that has no taste. I asked if they still served Tsukemen here but sadly they took it off the menu a while back. Apparently it is too expensive to keep on the menu so they removed it.
Very nice restaurant. We were seated very quickly on a Saturday night. The ramen is fantastic! The fried rice is pretty good. It’s not my favorite. The sauces/seasonings on/in it were pretty strong. I like it not as strong. I would definitely come back here for the ramen and I would like to try more items off the menu.
This is currently my favorite ramen spot. Great selection of ramen. The broth had the authentic ramen taste. The staff was good and the atmosphere was cozy. The only dent was the limited parking. We had real hard time finding a spot. I ate the tonkotsu ramen(extra spicy) and I absolutely loved it.
Food was not bad. But customer service was poor. When we walked in, we were told to sit somewhere but the tables were not clean. After we sat down is when they came to clean the table. The server was not friendly. She seemed like she was in a rush to get the order and leave. When we questioned the ingredient in a dish her response was pretty much if you never had it before go with something you tried before.
BEST HOUSE CHILI OIL EVER! I got the spicy miso and tonkatsu both paired with bbq pork. The bbq pork was not charred to my taste and was bland. The spicy miso soup was tasted great with no additions and the tonkatsu had a classic taste. The noodles were average compared to higher quality ramens I've had. What set this place off was the house chili oil. This magically set off the ramen dishes to another level. This was the best house chili oil I've ever had!!!
Our family dined here early at 4:30 pm on a Tuesday. Ample parking. I and my husband ordered Tonkotsu ramen with extra char siu. The pork broth and pork belly were rich in flavor, not too salty. My son liked the seafood ramen and said it was filling. Orders were filled quickly and service was good.
I loved the old location, there was a host, and waitress around good service all around. I love the window art on the new location and the walls. The ramen is still amazing the pork belly buns, and the meat tastes old, I understand it is served cold but it tasted like it was sitting in a refrigerator for a few days. After being served no service, no refills. My check was brought to me when another couple had come in first and did not receive theirs. They made it feel unwelcoming. This is my experience the ramen is great, try it!
Took time to visit this new location today. I tried the Pot stickers and Tan Tan Ramen which is always a great classic combo for me. The location was beautiful in side and very peaceful for a solo lunch. The most important menu item to me is the Iced Matcha Latte. I've tried several all over Dallas and some are either too sweet or extremely bland or not mixed well. The Matcha Latte was the best I've had in a long time!!! This was the perfect meal to have on a very cold Texas day!! Their menu was small since it is their soft opening so I look forward to trying more menu items.

Love the food, hate the service. I've dined in (0 customer service) no greetings, no sitting guests, no smiles, and all the guys always seem rushed and annoyed to get people out. Calling in orders is a pain too, they never answer with hello, they just pick up and expect you to do the talking. I've even gotten a few "k's" as a response. Incredibly annoying! And, quite frankly makes people not want to spend their money here no matter how fond they are of the food. Wish they'd work on the service, hire friendlier faces.
Service was not very good, the waitress took a long time to take our order. When we needed something else, we'd have to wave her down, (no the restaurant was not busy, maybe 3 tables) the food orders were sporadic, half of the main dishes didn't come until I was half way through with my ramen. I will not be visiting again.
They completely messed up my to-go order… first of all, this is rice noodles used for Vietnamese Pho. I had chosen ramen noodles along with BBQ pork, and bamboo shoot. Didn’t get any of that. This does taste anything like spicy miso ramen… They must’ve mistaken my order with someone else? My online order was finished really quick too so maybe that must be why? I’m disappointed. Not sure how this is 4.5 stars because this tasted very average… I think I would’ve had a better experience dining in instead of ordering to go?
I love the outside of the building and was really craving ramen so decided to try here. There was a lot of seating inside and the cashier (a guy with a long ponytail) told us to sit anywhere. We each got the ramen combo to go and a lemonade. He allowed us to eat our small bite there (add $3.50 to the combo) there and we tried the takoyaki ($7.50). The texture seemed interesting and the inside kind of gave an uncooked mashed potato mouth feel, and since our original servicer was busy (he was great! Taking care of the register and customers, very great at multitasking), we had a question about the takoyaki so we asked another employee--a girl with dark hair--and she seemed almost bothered that we stopped her and annoyed that we asked what it was and if the insides were cooked all the way. She told us it was chopped octopus and the texture was supposed to be that way, and just muttered "people either you love it or hate it" and walked away. Extremely disappointed in that service interaction. Spent about $21 on the combo and drink before tip. The chicken karaage was delicious but the shoyu with chicken was average at best. There wasn't even a half-full container of the broth. Apparently the spicy miso was good, but I do not eat pork so I could not try it. It's a bummer because the guy's service was amazing but he was completely overshadowed by my overall experience. I don't think I would return and I would not recommend if you do not eat pork.
I really wanted to love this place but the second time I came I was disappointed. The first time was great everything was amazing. The second time the broth was lacking chicken flavor and the pork buns were dry! Also there was a dead roach on the floor across from the kitchen door. The staff were great though.
I had tried ramen several times before and never did like it but a friend said this place was good and I ordered the most expensive ramen soup they had almost $20 and did not like it had a weird taste to it my wife ordered the red curry seafood ramen and it tasted watered down ordered tom yum ramen as we love Thai for my daughter and she did enjoy it not sure might give it another try but will stick with pho or Thai for soups I like the ramen just not the taste of the soup bases they provide
My friend wanted ramen for lunch so we landed here. We started off with the chicken karaage and gyoza which were both lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered the seafood ramen and my friend ordered the tonkotsu ramen. We both felt the flavor of the broth could’ve been richer and he did note it could’ve been spicer even with the side of spicy oil he had. Overall, it was an ok experience and we had good customer service.

Tried this place for the first time on a Saturday evening around 8 PM. Ordered delivery. Order was completed correctly & arrived fast. Gyoza is kind of bad for a restaurant - bland & half empty inside; you can get better Gyoza from the grocery store. Soup has good flavor. Noodles have a good texture. Pork is very dry & has strange flavor - Like butane torch. Corn also taste weird - probably canned. Overall, disappointed. You can get better tasting ramen for the same price at other ramen places. I would not come back here & I definitely would not recommend.
I would say this place a bit underwhelming. Tried the dipping noodles, and it was very very salty.. I ended up just eating the plain noodles because i could not bare to eat the soup. The chicken topping was very salty as well and could tell they use low quality chicken.. On the positive note, the server was very friendly.
This place had some of the best Gyūdon i have ever had, including being above most of the ones I had while in Japan, but everything else was either meh or completely terrible. We ordered, maybe 8 different items within our group, and most had very little flavor, or they were overwhelming fishy flavored. The red curry ramen literally tasted like fish sauce / oyster sauce with zero other elements of flavor. It was shocking how fishy it tasted and ruined the dish for us. The garlic edamame had flavor, but the pods were extremely overcooked, which caused them to very soggy on the inside, instead of having the slight bursting texture. Since we had such a large variety of items, with so many misses, I don't think we will ever be going back here. Wished for better.

Worst ramen I've ever had. I will not return or recommend. The ramen had no flavor and was super greasy. The gyoza was soggy and coming apart. When he brought our sake bottle over he just slammed…
We had Takayuki for an appetizer and the Shoyu and Spicy Miso ramens for the main course. First off the restaurant was dirty and had a bad smell when we first walked in. The Takayuki only had 1-2 small pieces of octopus in it. The Shoyu ramen was flavorless and the grilled chicken was dry. The noodles in both our ramens were the type you get out of the packs from Walmart. The spicy miso was more flavorful but the noodles truly detracted from the meal.
After a long day of work, school, and training, we finally decided to stop by this place for a bowl of ramen. Upon arrival, they offered us a table at the bar by the window. We waited for 14 minutes, and during that time, no one came over to ask if we wanted anything to drink or eat. Finally, the waitress in the picture asked if we were ready to order. We did, but she never brought us the drinks we had ordered. Meanwhile, a couple who arrived much later than us was greeted and offered a drink immediately. You can also see the waitress greeting another guest and taking his order right away. We were still waiting for our drinks, so I decided to leave and go somewhere else. This experience was truly disappointing and appalling. It’s unacceptable to treat a paying customer in this manner. I work in the hospitality industry, and I will never treat a guest in such a way.
