Outstanding Dining Experience at Ozona Bar and Grill in Dallas, Texas I recently visited Ozona Bar and Grill in Dallas, Texas, and I must say, the food was exceptional. I ordered from the lunch menu and chose the chicken tenders with loaded mashed potatoes. The tenders were accompanied by a delightful assortment of sauces, including Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce, gravy, and ranch. The chicken was notably fresh, and the ranch dressing was, without a doubt, the best I have ever tasted. Other members of my dining party selected the chicken-fried steak and Mexican platter. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture a photo of the dishes, as they were devoured quickly. In particular, the Ozona cheddar fries disappeared within seconds, signaling their deliciousness. The outdoor patio at Ozona Bar and Grill is truly enchanting and would be an ideal spot to enjoy during the end of summer or the beginning of fall when the temperature is more pleasant. The lush greenery surrounding the patio adds to the inviting ambiance. Ozona Bar and Grill also offers a unique brunch experience on weekends. The combination of scrumptious food and the delightful outdoor patio creates a memorable dining experience that should not be missed.

First time there and we plan to come back!!! The food was sooo delicious and the portions were HUGE. My husband got a chili relleno and it was almost as big as a football hahaha. Best one I've ever had, too! (I don't even like chili rellenos). We enjoyed their Wednesday drink specials too. The atmosphere was almost like an "American pub". They had so much outdoor seating that looked really esthetic but it was too cold to sit out there, but we sat in a cozy corner all by ourselves. I didn't get any pictures of the food but i did get one picture of the inside. Our server (i didn't get her name) but she was awesome!

We went on a Saturday so they had the brunch going on. I got a Breakfast BLT with rosemary potatoes and my husband got the fried mushrooms! Both were amazing!! Will probably go back to try more things next time we are in town. We sat out on the patio. It was lovely.

I have been here for multiple SMU Happy Hours. They have got a lovely patio and indoor seating. You will see a lot of SMU Alumni hanging out there. Ample parking spots are available. ®️MillionDollarCravings recommendation: The best time to visit is during the golden hour. As it’s not crowded.

Great atmosphere for a Saturday night dinner. Margaritas were phenomenal, cold beer on tap and food was absolutely delicious. We had the Big Fat Frank and the Chicken Fried Steak Fingers. Good food, cold drinks and great people!

Absolutely perfect place for a casual rehearsal dinner that will not break the bank. The club room is perfect, and everyone enjoyed the food. We had the enchiladas. Make sure you get the peach cobbler. Service was great!

This place is not just a restaurant it's an experience. Just walking through the first gate is a wow inspiring moment it's beautiful courtyard and cool interior makes this a place to go! Service is energetic and fun. Beer is cold and quickly served and the food is fantastic.

Personal favorites include the spinach salad (add blackened chicken) burger, chicken fried steak and fried jalapeños. Servers are great, food is fantastic multiple event spaces. We threw a grad party last May and it was so easy and stress free.

This place was amazing. From the food, service, to atmosphere, everything here was excellent. The dog friendly patio is a really nice touch and has a huge outdoor TV to watch. Started off with the spinach artichoke dip and this was hands down the best I've had. It was also served with some homemade sauce that was kind of a cross between salsa and BBQ sauce, which was delicious. I decided to go with the handmade tamales, as I'm from Iowa and don't get a chance for great Mexican food all that often. These did not disappoint. Along with the rice and borracho beans which were both delicious made for a great meal. It was my first time having borracho beans and they quickly became one of my favorites. The flavoring they did here was amazing. My aunt ordered the chicken flautas, which she gave me a couple of and these were something I would definitely consider ordering next time I come back, which I will definitely do before I leave town as this became one of my favorite restaurants.

Such a chill spot to hang out at. I loved all the outdoor seating/beer garden vibe that it was giving off. We went here for a work lunch so we sat inside. But it was such a relaxing environment, the staff were all super friendly, we got seated and served pretty quickly. I ordered the Buddy’s Club and it was really juicy and tasty, I really enjoyed it overall and will definitely be back soon!

We were originally told that this was a Mexican restaurant by a friend. It is so much more! Don’t limit it to one type of food. The grilled shrimp were really good, and so was the chili relleno. My son almost lost all of his mac ‘n cheese to the rest of us, too. The jalapeño fries are whole jalapeños quartered and battered. They were really good even if a little heavy on the batter for my taste.

This places receives 4 stars because of the great service. Our server Courtney was amazing despite us not being happy with the Chili Pie or Herb Chicken. She was attentive, nice, and very accommodating. Food wise, I will probably not return. The chicken flautas were dry and tasteless with watery queso. The herb chicken has bones in it with no taste so I’m not sure why they named it herb when it’s a very bland piece of chicken with the bone taking up most of the portion. The Chili Pie doesn’t not come out like the menu states and once again lacks flavor. This places has good reviews so I’m not sure if I caught them on a off day or if their palette just isn’t a good fit for me. Conversely, their spinach salad is tasty I just don’t like that you have to pay an extra $4 to a $10 plate to get some chicken added. The fresh fruit is exactly that. One of the best items of the entire meal.

Overall Ozona is a great place to hang out with a group or by yourself at the bar. The patio is a great spot when weather permits. The drink specials are awesome, they should have one everyday of the week. For TexMex food, the menu is pretty good, just under a 5 star rating. The staff has always been helpful and kind. Worth multiple visits.

Very good bar grill type of place, many tvs around to enjoy a game or music. The food was really surprisingly good, as we ordered the smothered chicken fried steak with chili and cheese. The steak and onion rings were absolutely delicious. My husband got shrimp with rice and said it was just OK. To be honest, i think he just chose the wrong entree as our food was great. I understand that sitting outside on the patio is the way to go, so will check that out the next time! Oh, and they also have brunch on the weekends!

The food and service are good but my car was broken into in their lot in the middle of the day on a Sunday. The manager didn’t care and said cameras weren’t working. I would avoid if you have other options.

Slightly above average food. I had the nachos, which were large (4in diameter) round tortilla chips topped with nacho toppings. Tasty, but it was ranked as one of the top 10 nachos of Dallas, perhaps it was number 10. The atmosphere and staff were great though! If you want the feel of an open air returant/bar in Miami, this is the place.

Appetizer (onion rings) came out cold, Texas mule was mainly lime juice and slightly salty (I ended up not drinking it and I love mules), fries weren’t great (seasoned properly but incorrectly cooked), and burger was good. Waiter took 7ish minutes to answer a question about the bloody mary bar. Food was decent. Got the quesadilla little over priced for a run of the mill quesadilla. If you're not in the mood to get hammered and listen to a bunch of loud sports on TV this isnt the place.

I always wanted to stop at this restaurant, but never actually got a chance to until today. I went to lunch with a group of coworkers and we had a great time. I was really impressed by the customer service. Our server made sure to keep our drinks topped off and check on us whenever possible. We sat outdoors and it was a tad bit chilly, so he turned on the nearby fireplace for us. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, but I opted for the shrimp tacos. They were pretty good and everyone else's food looked tasty as well. I was surprised at how big this restaurant actually is. They have plenty of seating to accommodate large parties as well. What happened to Ozona Grill & Bar? You could always count on them for consistently having great food& service, not today. Very disappointing! Ordered Fried chicken platter, FF & gravy, my wife had a spinach salad. Nothing special or hard! The fries were blanched & they forgot to finish frying them, they brought out a thimble full of gravy for a platter of chicken, the spinach salad was dirty spinach, was not washed at all, the dirt they were grown in was still present! After the server visited with everyone she knew I finally got the gravy, we washed the spinach leaves in our glasses of water not trusting the kitchen to do the job. I guess if you’re down by SMU, you can get away with serving this sort of meal. We didn’t complain, we figured it would have fallen on deaf ears. A little less perfume on all the servers would have been nice, I really don’t want to smell my server a full minute before she gets to my table! I really was expecting better., Did the original owners give the restaurant to the kids?

Patio had a few tables. Upon leaving noticed her leaning in a hallway with many other servers and perhaps the manger. The lack of any concern we were there was very apparent.

For some reason, my high school buddies gather here. It was an odd experience. What we got only bore a slight resemblance to what we ordered. We asked for two orders of nachos and received one order of nachos and two shisk-a-bob. It took so long to be served that we accepted the appetizers as presented. The menu has changed, leaving off many of the Mexican dishes I tried in years past. So I had the chicken fried steak. It was good, but they dressed the mashed potatoes like a fully loaded baked potato instead of gravy as I asked. The food was okay, even when it was the wrong dish. I think the problem was our server who was friendly enough, but not especially good at her job.

Great bartender, but not smiling or seemingly noticing me particularly. Good margarita. Fried mushrooms tasted good if you like fried batter. Couldn't taste mushrooms, and they seemed dry, so I dug in to see problem. They seemed like canned mushrooms. Were the dark kind and had no juice when u bite in. Well, a 1 on that. Ranch dip was watery. I like the ambiance. Concrete bar and wood floors gave that neighborhood hang-out vibe I like, though it's a very large place with tons of inside and outside seating. People not really friendly. Well, it's a big city, Joyce.

I've seen this place for many years while driving up and down Greenville Ave, so my expectations were set high, unfortunate I was met with great disappointment as the food was very bland. The steak fingers, enchiladas, onion rings were all very bland, no seasoning, no flavor. I expected the food to be good as this place has been here for years. Maybe people visit for drinks and the outdoor the atmosphere. The outdoor atmosphere was great

This place has gone to trash regarding service. Long wait at the table and things we asked for never arrived. Also, 3 sweet older ladies were sitting at the table next to us. They waited for an hour to get their food. After their long wait, they received the check but not the food. 😂 Nachos were pretty good though.

We love their food but take our advice and use Uber or LYFT to get there. The security they have sucks terribly. When it's cold outside they go inside and watch tv instead of vehicles. Here lately, we know of two cars that's been stolen while parked under the light. Security was there when we drove up but he came inside and stood by bar while our car was being stolen. Nice place for people but not for vehicles

If you find another one from me, this serves as my update. We arrive to an almost empty restaurant and get set at the table in the little room right next to the fireplace. Its not horrible but I sit next to the fireplace since I'd be able to handle the heat better than the rest of my family. I still ended up having to take off my sweater I was wearing. We ordered our drinks, get them, then ordered our food. We get our food, minus one meal, no worries as it arrives maybe 2 mins after. Though all was okay then my wife ran out of water. I said she could have mine while waiting on her refill that I thought the waitress would bring back. We keep eating and now I need a refill on coffee, my wife more water since we only have the one glass now between us, as well as my son needing another Coke. Oh, and that's when I realized my youngest never got any syrup with his pancakes. Shortly after this, mind you I had to wave down the server to get the replacement drinks, one of the bussers comes over to the fire and stokes it, making the room yet even hotter than it already was. At this point, I move to another table with my coffee. The heat was enough to make me not want to eat anymore, so I then asked for a manager. Not sure if who they sent was one but it was one of the strangest interactions I've had with a "manager". I didn't ask for a discount, and made a comment that it was really just to inform them of what all happened. The manager said sorry, walked away saying she'd be back, then after finally coming back to the table, all she said was, "we apologize for your experience, I hope you give us another shot in the future." Then walked away. At that point, I just wanted to leave. Of course I'm never going back because while I don't care about the discount, it's the fact that nothing was even said making me think any of my complaints were heard and understood. A true example of the phrase "falling on deaf ears". Overall, if any of them would have thought there is a fire, nearly half empty restaurant, let's not sit this family right next to it, I probably wouldn't have even said anything about the poor service. We don't come here often but it was always a great place, until today. I usually give places 3 times before giving up and all 3 poor experiences would normally be in a row, however, this time I can't do it. Maybe it was an off day but I'll never find out again.
