We had such a good time and only felt welcomed in this bar full of regulars. Jacky of course was the star of the night!!!

Great bar with unique neighborhood atmosphere. Service was top notch. Ask Greg about their incredibly intuitive ordering app.

Love this bar, especially Jackie (the blonde bartender that apparently is apparently "rude", according to another review). Don't go here if you want a fancy/pretentious experience. You will get treated the way you treat people

I've been having a great time popping into this establishment. No complaints here. The service is great and the atmosphere is diverse and lively. Jackie and Jared are awesome. They have you covered. I appreciate that aspect, not being a native to Texas. This bar doesn't pretend to be something it isn't and the drinks prices are lovely! They have some nice specials. With touch tunes inside, you hear an entire spectrum of music throughout your stay. 9 of 10, I recommend.

I love this little dive bar!!! Jackie, the bartender, was amazing. She was attentive, very nice, a definite star in the service industry! We will definitely return when visiting Dallas again. The atmosphere, clientele, and bartender were just great!!

Small dive bar that was fantastic. The pink and orange lights, the boat interior, the peeling vinyl, the comfortable booths and stools made this a place I want to go back to for sure. I think their weekend hours may be incorrect right now according to google (said they closed at midnight - we were there past and people were still coming in after 12 and the door was still wide open). The bartenders were patient (I’m slow at deciding sometimes) and nice. Can’t wait to go back. Seriously, surprise hit of the night.

I love that the only bad reviews are from ppl WHO DIDNT HAVE THEIR IDS, BUT EXPECTED TO STILL BE SERVED. Lol This is the best hidden gem on Greenville. The staff is the BEST! It quickly becomes your favorite place to go out to. Pam during the day is amazing and has been there for over 30 years. Jacky, Jared, Josh and Tara work the nights and it feels like your best friend is behind the bar when any of them work! Love this bar!!

Ship's is the oldest dive bar in Dallas, Texas!! A place you go to get away from the crowds, and posers 🤠 Great bartenders, wide varieties, great jukebox music 🎶 applications, has a pool 🎱 table and upstairs lounge with odd sound affect of being able to hear all the conversations at the bar 🍸 Ship's is like a fishing 🎣 spot you don't just invite everyone to go to 😎 Take a little while and get to know the people it's worth it to keep secret for just the chosen few friends 🍸👀🤠

One of the best chill bars. They have pool and other games upstairs. Great place to bring your buddies for a quick game. Staff is always friendly and quick, they don’t ignore you like at other bars. If you’re lucky, someone will bring their dog in with them and they’ll let you pet it.

Enjoyed the jukebox. Has a very downtown feel to it for being on greenville. A good spot to be lowkey n just sit at the bar and enjoy the different characters that come in. Guy I was with knew a bunch of ppl there incl the bartender. Reminded me of a bar from my hometown that I'd hit on a weeknight w a friend for a few beers to avoid a hassle or the bougouisee types. It is not your freshly revamped, glitzy, fake, hipster joint. so don't expect anything like that.

So this place is the definition of a dive bar. It’s got character, but i don’t think you want to see it in the daylight. The bartender was friendly and it gets an interesting mix of people. It comes up if you search for a pool hall but don’t expect too much. The joint has 1 bar sized table and there are a lot of shots that are tough. We’ll be back 😉

Small didn't describe how tiny this place is. This had to be one of the oldest bars in Dallas . Been in business since the 40s. Friendly bartender and cold beer. Cheap prices during the day.

Great classic Dallas dive bar that's been renewed with a fresh look. Upstairs provides a nice cubbie hole area. The crowd is usually a nice mix of all kinds of people.

Used to love this place, now however, not so much. The cosy darkness is gone, including the year round Christmas lights, and I'm not sure getting a full liquor bar is enough to justify it. The beer is still cheap so that's still a plus.

This is a dive bar. Drink beer or plain liquor. You can and should bring your own food if you would like to eat while you drink. Definitely a unique atmosphere but it's not as great as some other local bars

Interesting to say the least went had a business meeting on the 2nd floor . A d they had free hotdogs witch saved my life. Bartender was really cool

It's not bad, but liquor is way over priced for the place. For a single drink I could have gotten a fifth of the same Rye at Specks.

I only go to this bar if the bartender is a man. The blond female bartender has the personality of a literal rock and makes the overall ambiance depressing and somber while still managing to overcharge!

Went to celebrate a friends birthday, blonde bartender was rude from the moment we walked inside to the moment we left. 0/10 do not recommend

Blonde woman bartender at bar looked at us weird as we walked in, then walked up and asked for ID, we have real ID’s and flew in with them, she checked them and said “I don’t trust them” and told us to leave. Waste of money on the Lyft.

Terrible service from their bartender that was very aggressive. She accused us of being underage and after checking IDs and insulting us said she wouldn’t serve us, threatened to kick us out. She left the bar and partied with friends for a solid half hour. We were eventually served by another really good bartender but Ships really needs to consider why they have a bartender that approaches customers with such hostile energy. I don’t think we’ll ever good back. It’s too bad Ships is a Dallas institution.

A group of friends and I were turned away for lack of identification despite all of us allowing the bartender and others to fully examine our very obvious 25+ Texas state-issued IDs. The bar was busy, for a Thursday evening, but the blonde bartender took her time examining each of our IDs. After allowing others to also fully examine our IDs, she still did not serve us, at which point, we felt it negligent to offer our business to this establishment. It appears that they are looking to keep their close regular base. I would respect that excuse more, than the bartender denying us service due to lack of ID, which was not at all the case.

Asked if they had simple syrup and the blonde 47yo one in the overalls with the Karen face that looked like she might’ve downed some lime juice, looked as though I took wayyyy too much time out of her 5 person bar top. Poor lady.
