We chose this venue to celebrate our civil wedding luncheon, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The view was breathtaking, the service impeccable, and the ambiance truly unforgettable. A special shoutout to Antonia, the events coordinator, who went above and beyond to make everything seamless. I must have sent her at least 20 emails, and she responded to each one with incredible patience and care. Thanks to her, we were able to bring our vision to life and create a beautiful, memorable event.
I had a lovely experience having dinner at Aveo earlier in July (2025). The food was great, and I was very impressed by our server Marlyn - who was just so kind & lovely. Truly a wonderful experience all around! 😊
My husband and I ate at AVEO twice while we were staying at the Waldorf Astoria. We sat on the terrace both times and really enjoyed taking in the beautiful resort grounds. The food at AVEO is unique and delicious and the waitstaff was very nice. We loved the Pan al Horno which was kind of a bread charcutier board. It comes with fairly minimal items, but the bread is fantastic! We ordered it both times we went. We also ordered the Mexican Mac and Cheese which was also really good. Their mixed drinks fabulous and they also have a decent beer selection if that is more your thing. If you are staying at the Waldorf Astoria, definitely check out AVEO!
Good foods and lovely ambiance. Over a few days I tried the surf and turf, macaroni, roasted chicken, and a cauliflower dish. All were delicious I actually think the appetizers and side dishes stole the show. Service was top notch. I didn’t need reservations on either visit fyi. Never had chance to try breakfast or lunch. Not a fan of buffets in general, but place looked packed for their breakfast buffet every day I was there.
I visited here during my stay at the resort. The staffs were really kind and polite. I ordered some menus for my family and we really enjoyed them. The visuals and tastes were really good. I highly recommend!
Don’t sleep on AVEO! While Bourbon may be the premiere restaurant at The Waldorf, AVEO’s dinner options are delicious!! The staff from the host station to our servers were so welcoming and sweet. The food was truly outstanding and the view from our table was just stunning. Highly recommend for dinner!
Chic and trendy with amazing ocean and golf course views. The menu selection includes some of my favorite dishes. Salmon, rack of lamb and steak are all great options. Service was nice and the staff were very attentive.
Dining alone at Aveo Table and Bar was fabulous! > Concert worthy live music (Santana would be proud) > Ocean & Pool views > Warm and friendly service from the bartender (Marvin - best smile in Dana Point) > 5 ☆'s for the Legaris, 2018 Tempranillo, Ribera Del Duero (Dry, Cherry, Cocoa & Oak) ... yum! > I cheated on my keto diet & ate a few of the croutons on the Caesar salad. It was better than dessert. Perfectly dressed with a hint of Peruvian spice and yummy pepitas for crunch > I wanted the MOJO chicken, but heard that it ran sweet (ugh ... the crouton was my cheat) ... I ordered the filet with Chimmichuri (Pittsburgh style) It melted in my mouth. A+++++++++. I skipped the potatoes & green beans, but only because they weren't diet compliant. Two regrets - our hero wasn't here to share. Thank you B for working so hard to save our planet!! And, I really wanted to try the churro!

We had a fabulous evening at Aveo! The lobster roll and squash soup were delicious. We also had a great view outside and the staff were really friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
Excellent birthday dinner. All of the food was excellent. Such a nice vibe outside on the patio with perfect views. And Stephanie was an exceptional server. Made us feel special with a birthday treat and wishes and offered to take our photo. She stayed on top of our service. Thank you Stephanie!
Amazing Christmas brunch - well worth the price. Great gluten free options that were overtly notated in a good way. The staff is very attentive & personable. The food was top notch. The bartender (Jose, I think?) was incredible.
We had an amazing dinner at this beautiful restaurant with breathtaking ocean views! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing evening. Special thanks to Alina, the hostess — she greeted us with such warmth and professionalism. Her positive energy and friendly attitude made our first impression unforgettable. Highly recommend this place!

We ate a late lunch on a beautiful sunny day. We ate outside and could enjoy the sun and great views. Of course, the ambience was great, but the food was even better. We shared a caesar salad and then ordered the fish and turkey sandwiches. All were delicious! The food was great and the portions were so large, we had to take more home. Which was just as delicous when we finished it in our room. The service was great, attentive but also left us to enjoy the gorgeous surroundings. This is a great place to have lunch and enjoy delicious food and amazing views.
If you’re staying at the Waldorf this is a great option in terms of portions and quality though it costs more. My favorite from the breakfast menu was the tropical fruit bowl with a huge portion of cut fruits and berries. The pancakes and waffle were fresh and filling. The $48 weekend brunch has a good selection including an omelette bar. Lunch options are around $30 each
I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious breakfast here. The service was highly attentive, and they offer both à la carte and buffet options. The ambiance is relaxing, with beautiful views, and you can choose between indoor and outdoor seating for a perfect dining experience.
Would be all 5s, but the cost is way too high. The outmeal ($17) was good, and the egg burrito ($29) was very good. The service was great, along with the views outside.
We ordered Kia pudding, lobster scrambled, latte, and smoked salmon w/ bagel. The smoked salmon is really good. The onion on the side is good too. We chose everything bagel from the plain one and the everything one. It’s really good. The fruit in the Kia pudding is not quite ripe. The latte w/ crunchy is good. The scrambled egg is good and the asparagus is really good.
The food is nothing special, but I love coming here for the beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere. The view from the outdoor seating is absolutely the highlight.
The service is great. The view of the outdoor part is good. The food is OKAY. Dessert is better than the entrees.

Our taste buds were delighted after we asked for the table floor area to be cleaned. If ur meal is over $30 not including tip, you should not be exposed to uncleanness. The food service was great.
Business breakfast. The setting is certainly nice and service was on point. That being said I would recommend overall other places in the area ahead of this for breakfast. The food quality is ok, in relation to the price not so much. Eggs Benedict for $28 should not be as “flat for starters. Last but not least you’ll be required to use the Valet if you drive yourself. For 2 people you will spend overall close to $100 and that is not justified by the food quality. Overall not a good value play.
