Great, cost-effective food. Often crowded and noisy, but it's a college campus, what do you expect?
An excellent place to hang around during the breakfast, lunch or anytime you wish to chill, relax, or study.
Great selection of baked goods and all kinds of coffee and teas. Student staff are friendly.
Lots of seating areas. Different food choices. Overall very clean and modern.
Love it. Good pastries, good coffee, good atmosphere. Affordable and lively.
Many options with good taste. Pizza, pasta, pho soup, bagels and subs.
My favorite place on campus. Love the food and drinks.
Their coffees are really good, perhaps best in the campus. Located at Memorial Union which is the best place to hangout with friends, or to discuss your work with someone with a cup of coffee.
Super Covid friendly!!! Good social distancing measures and super safe coronavirus precautions!! The Burrito I got was excellent and the staff were super friendly and helpful. 10/10 would come again!!
I was so happy with the service my mother and I got when we were here. I really got to show her around with some great coffee.
Lots of options for good prices! Often hard to find a table.
The UCD CoHo is awesome; good prices, great food, amazing coffee, and a nice atmosphere to study or relax in. Best coffee on campus.
Pachamama coffee on campus. Owned by a cooperative of smallholder organic coffee growers.
Good restaurants, TxMex is awesome. I just wish there were more tables to sit both inside and outside. It’s always full.
It's my favorite place to get coffee on campus. It's not only the cheapest but it has a great atmosphere. Being in here means I run into people often, and the coffee is solid. There's a lot of new hires pretty much all the time, but I've found that helping them out with my usual order is no big hassle. I recommend the Vanilla Latte and the Campfire Latte when it cycles back around as drink of the month. That being said, they WILL get your name wrong.

Fresh tasty sushi in a safe way to-go! Staff is very friendly and everyone is following the necessary covid precautions. Glad to be able to come to the Coho again this school year and will be a frequent visitor!!
Great value for money and comfy for working. Note: During summer the place closes at 4pm.
This is fantastic!! Go for the academic bowl!! Also had a terrific latte!! They were so nice when I accidently picked up the wrong order. Great service!
Very appreciative of this place, their drinks are super cheap and tasty. Their Matcha is great, which can’t be said for a lot of places.
Great coffee. However one employee was telling a trainee how to make my drink and said right in front of me that she didn’t put enough milk it in “but it’s fine.” Well it’s not fine for me so I asked for the correct amount of mill and he acted like I was asking for a special favor and when the manager asked what was going on he said I asked for “extra” milk even though I was just asking for the correct amount as per his own admission to the trainee
An very cute spot to get your caffeine fix! The seasonal drinks taste great
Depends on the day and your mood...this is a busy coffee house. So if you know that much and know you might run into a line during passing period- all else will be good!. Students working this coho are usually pretty awesome, chill n friendly. Wish they had whole milk! Haha. Otherwise great spot for a pick me up! Tons of seating inside and outside.
There was this employee named Diego, by far one of the best cashiers I have ever met. I was crying after one of my midterms, and he paid for my drink. He told me it would be ok and his kindness will never be forgotten. ASUCD you are truly lucky to have him.

Best place on campus to get a choice of lunches but they need more seating
Everything is a bit overpriced. But you can’t beat the performances, or the atmosphere, or the lighting, or the furniture—a great meeting place.
Good coffee, nice atmosphere and outdoor seating. A great choice for a quick bite in UC Davis
Mostly just get coffee, which is pretty well priced ($1.50 for up to 20oz if you have your own cup)
Great place to get a wide variety of food. Great place for a cup of coffee as well.
Long line when I went and took 30 minutes from the time I got in line to the time I got my drink. Good drink though!
i come here all the time but i’ve never gotten anything. it looks cool
Bring back the peanut butter rice krispy treat for a 5 star review.
Swirlz has really good pastries. The room needs more electrical outlets though.
Slow service only because they serve a billion students a day. But consistently decent drinks and pastries. Never fails to satisfy.
Pastries are delicious! Try em all! The lemon bar and pumpkin chocolate chip bars, in particular, are scrumptious.
Right in the heart of campus. It's a great place to get coffee between classes. Can be a bit of a wait during peak hours.
Attended a wine and cheese affair sponsored by the alumni association. Food was catered do not part of the regular service. Beautiful and surrounded by trees with ceiling to floor windows ! Nice event.
The Coho, for what it is, is great. And what it is, is a student run coffee bar that has a friendly staff, and a decent selection at an excellent price. Where else can you get a medium coffee and a blueberry muffin for less than $5? However, I avoid anything other than that order. Their lattes are hard to call lattes. This is the type of take that gets eyerolls from other people but I remain resolved. The students making them often have no prior experience, so I don't blame them, but I suspect many of them have never even had a latte. It's a coarse foam over lukewarm burnt espresso. And then there are the pastries. Most are pretty good, not very fresh but definitely decent. Except for their strawberry croissants. I don't know what had to go wrong for them to serve what was decidedly *not* a strawberry croissant. When I bit into it I thought I was having an aneurysm. It tasted like raspberry, which is a very distinct flavor from strawberry. I went back to the display to check to see if I had mistakenly ordered a raspberry croissant, but sure enough it said strawberry. I felt like I was going crazy. I told the attendant, she grabbed her manager and I told them it tasted like raspberry. She said they never order raspberry. My whole world crumbled. For a brief second I considered the other options. That I was having a paranoid delusion. A mental break. I expected to them say that I had never ordered a croissant at all and that I was losing my mind. In an effort to rectify the situation and save me from what must have looked like the brink of a psychotic episode, the manager graciously offered to replace it with a different pastry. "Now I guess you know that you don't like it", they said. I felt a mild sense of gaslighting, I know what strawberry tastes like, and I definitely like it. But if I were in their position I probably would've handled it the same way. I wasn't expecting a side of derealization with my morning coffee and pastry, but you can never know what to expect at the CoHo. Oh, also I really wish they had longer hours and opened on Friday :/
I pretty much only go here for the pizza at this point. As long as the pizza has been cooked fresh, it's some of the best I've had. However if it has been sitting out for too long it's nearly too hard to eat. Make sure the crust is still fluffy before buying

Always full and never a place to sit. There are some good food options but you'll go broke quick if you eat there every day.
Typical college hangout spot, a lot of clubs and greek ĺife meet here to chill and hangout. Expect to pay a premium for a quick bite for lunch.
It's all right, especially if you're a UCD student. If not, you can do better downtown with any food genre. The açai bowls are pretty good for their relatively cheap price (5.50). I'd recommend splurging 50 more cents on almonds, and putting honey on it (from the coffee bar)
I asked a staff member if they had any muffins and they told me “what you see is what we have”. Well, I’ve never been here and don’t know your bakery layout and isn’t it your job to help me make a purchase? I feel like asking if they have muffins for sale is a pretty simple question for somewhere which sells baked goods - at least pretend to check for me. Bought a coffee instead and it was mediocre. I do recruiting from this campus and will be bringing my own breakfast next time.
Coffee was okay, but a bit expensive. The gluten free rasberry scone was very strange and tasted really dry. I'm not sure if this is standard for gluten free bakery items or not, but overall it wasn't very good. However the location was nice, and the drcour was nice.
Went for coffee here obe late afternoon and although they have lots of different coffees (self serve) only one was hot this time. Have't been in the morning when i assume all would be hot. Otherwise the service was good. Coffee is so cheap, there is no reason why some carafe would be empty or contain cold coffee. The place was not that busy.
Workers here don't know what sauces are vegan– last time I was told ALL sauces were vegan; today I was told NONE of them were. Also, having someone who takes your order judge you is the worst. The hot chocolate was good.

Staff always seem to be on Their Own schedule dry/rude ... obviously uninterested or under-trained (milk laden dirty chai with zero flavors of espresso or even of coffee) Not worth the 6$ to be looked past and served a underwhelming beverage Squirrels earned the 2* rating btw

The coffee is fine, but it’s run by kids who don’t know what they’re doing. Three times now, I order a drink and it goes to the back of the line. Even when there’s no line; I came in today to an empty shop. Ordered my espresso, and as several people came in they made their espresso drinks before mine. The person running the machine didn’t know how to work it. To finish it off, they won’t stamp my punchcard because I ordered an espresso drink, and they’re only for coffee only. Nevermind I spend more money on espresso, nevermind I’ve had my card punched with espresso several times before. Unprofessional, inconsistent service. This kind of service wouldn’t pass off-campus.
Good atmosphere since can be seated outside or inside. Uncleanly seats. Coffee was disgusting. The worst I've tasted. Mostly water. Baked goods taste like packaged food.
If UC Davis built a coffee shop to represent itself, it would look a lot like this — sleek on the outside, soulless on the inside. The walls would be minimalist, the playlists corporate, and the coffee would cost too much for how little it delivers. Every latte would taste like the campus itself: overhyped, overbranded, and underwhelming. In this hypothetical café, “community” would be a buzzword on the chalkboard, not a feeling in the air. Students would sit isolated at shiny tables, surrounded by slogans about sustainability and innovation — two words UC Davis loves to say but rarely lives. The espresso machines would hum like PR copy: smooth, mechanical, and utterly detached. Because, hypothetically, that’s UC Davis in a cup — perfectly brewed image, zero real flavor. Not feeling that? UCD focus on image and this place is let you believe you are good when actually not
The first time I tried coffee here it was gross so I avoided the place altogether, and I decided to give it another shot. This time I examined how they were created their drinks and they let the espresso shots expire(probably why it tastes bad) and my drink came about 3/4 full. I asked them to fill the void with whipped cream and they said it costs extra. This place is the worst coffee spot in Davis, the bio brew is 100% better.
