The meat at this restaurant is amazing, especially the tri tip, which is sliced fresh to order in front of you. It comes out a little cold though. It's a little pricey for the quantity of food you get, I always left feeling a little hungry still. Best restaurant in Davis for tri tip.

Always good, always fresh. One of the places I miss since I moved away from the Sacramento area years ago. I love their buffalo chicken salad, but I substitute roasted red peppers for the carrots and celery.

Got the BBQ tri-tip sandwich, delicious!!! Sweet potato fries were great. While it was a little pricey for the sandwich, there was a lot of tri-tip so it was worth it. I also got the bahn-mi sandwich, it was the same price as the BBQ tri-tip but had a lot less tri-tip and underwhelming toppings. Still good though, 3.5/5 on that one. The BBQ tri-tip sandwich + sweet potato fries alone bring my rating to 5/5.

I was in town for the Pinkstickers gathering at the Polo Fields with my pal Hardis Arok from Chitown, and he just had to get a salad! A Salad! Well, we asked around a bit about where to go and Jack's Urban Eats popped up more than the other joints, so we hijacked an Uber and went Lickity Split straight to Jack's Urban Eats...and let me tell you something..When your inner self tells you it's time for a salad, you can't go wrong with a trip to Jack's! The salad was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Amazing food nice staff went with my wife and 2 year old she had a melt down and the staff were never rude offered to take my plates when my hands were full the tri-tip is to die for with the side of mashed potatoes and gravy can't wait to go back n try something new

This place feels like a cafeteria that has mediocre food, and cheap decorations. We split the Ruben which had a seed mustard on it that was weird, the sandwich was alright though. I had a side of chipotle butternut squash soup which was delicious but it was a miniature bowl, more like a small cup. It's over priced for what you get.

Made to order salad and sandwich options provide for a wide variety of flavor and texture combinations. Decently priced with a reasonable amount of food per serving. Great indoor and outdoor seating options are available to make for a great dining experience.

Love their salads. I like to order ahead and pick up sometimes or sitting in for a nice lunch chat with a friend. Occasional inconsistent food quality, but it’s fresh

Great place for a quick bite. I had the California Cheese Steak and my wife got the turkey kids meal. Food was hot and fresh service was great a mix of cafeteria style with table service and they bus your table when you are done!. The blackberry lemonade was delicious. I would definitely stop in again. Conveniently located near the Davis birthing center so that's a huge plus!

Strange atmosphere. The slender girl wearing the hat repeatedly interrupted me while I was asking questions. It seemed a bit rude. The food lacked flavor. However, the place was impeccably clean. I won't be returning.

Slow not busy, afternoon grabbed late lunch sandwich. Leaves alot to be desired for its ambiance, or vibe! Employees were more concerned about socializing with each other then engaging a customer. New customer at that. There hours are a bit late for opening, but perhaps it's lack of employees to cover any earlier shifts. It would do a great breakfast crowd if the were to offer it. There's not much out that way to grab any breakfast...W. Covell, Davis. I think it could become a big draw for that complex. If they were interested in making the effort.

I had a BBQ brisket sandwich. It was alright. The BBQ sauce and fried onions overpowered everything else and it reminded me of a Carl's Jr western bacon cheeseburger. Brisket had no flavor. Don't waste $15 on it, try something else.

A female receptionist wearing a hat smiles when greeting customers but is cold and indifferent toward delivery workers. If this happened occasionally, it could be understandable as a bad mood. However, it has been consistent for the past six months. Wouldn’t this be a typical case of discriminatory double standards and racism?

I was not greeted when I entered. I was told to go get a menu. The staff seem more preoccupied with cleaning the same spot instead of coming by multiple times to check on the food. The chef cut the tri-tip too thick. It was cold and dry by the time I had it at the table. The mash potatoes were cold. The gravy was a turkey gravy on my beef plate. This is not the place to go unless you wanna be disappointed.

Seriously, I picked this place to pick up lunch and for their fries. Fries were good but I also got a bbq tri tip sandwich and top piece of the bread is still cold and cheese didn’t even bothered to be melt a bit! What type of a restaurant do not check if they warmed up the sandwich bread enough?! So disappointed! I will get fries from Mc.Donald’s if I need to.

I'm going to start by saying I ordered food for pick up, so maybe if you dine in they are better. But ordering food was very disappointing. My husband ordered the Rueben NY sandwich and the bread was soggy. I ordered my child a steak kids meal and the meat was rare. I don't serve rare steak to my kids. They should've given an option for how I wanted my steak cooked. Food was not what I expected. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich which was not bad. But everything else was disappointing. I probably will not be going back.

6 years ago, I gave this place 5 stars review and said what's at the bottom. Changing to 1 start today as starting a year ago, they have CONSISTENTLY messed up every to go order. I finally called them tonight, and they didn't even believe me. Used to get us dinner here once or twice a week, but I guess I'm done. Review from 6 years ago: "Over the The people there are just fantastic! So friendly, respectful, helpful, and nice."

Food used to be better. I’ve had much better bagged salad from Safeway. They close too early (7:30) and rush you out - not very customer centric. If you want to lock the doors at 7:45, close at 7 and let the diners finish or don’t open for dine in dinner. Just bad experience all around.

As I was taking my order I asked for ranch and the girl looked at me like I was crazy and super judgmental. She then asked if I had meant a salad instead of sandwhich and rolled her eyes at me when I was like no I meant sandwhich. Not sure where all the attitude was coming from when taking a simple order of sandwhich and fries with ranch. As I waited for my food there was one girl just standing around talking while everyone else worked all while there were 4+ tables with people’s trash left on it. Terrible place. We were getting food at Jack's all the time, especially in the last year. And unfortunately we stopped. In the last 3 orders, each time there was something wrong. First order the Salad was mixed with dressing and it was soaked and droopy, they always put it on the side, second time it was missing extra items we paid for, mash potato in the size a little Iarger then a golf ball, and they threw a spoon of gravy on it, when I especially asked on the side. The last time there were 2 items missing from the order. Each time I came I explained that my previous orders were unsatisfactory and no one cared or listened. I know people say it's only food, but the food is not cheap. I was happy to pay at these prices because we loved the food. I miss the food, not the service lately. Too bad. 😥

I love Jacks food but was upset and shocked at what transpired. I ordered 2 steak salads to go. When they brought them out I saw through the container they had about a fourth of it filled. The paper bag that they were put in most likely weighed more. When we started to eat them and added the dressing we noticed we had about 3 croutons and very little cranberries and onion. It was a rip off. $30, for a couple of spinach and 3 strips of steak! Absolutely not acceptable.

I used to like this place. I travel 60 minutes round trip for this food. However the last two times they have forgotten items. My visit yesterday I was in a hurry and did not check my bag. When I got home there was no dressing for this particular salad that makes it the salad it is. Korean BBQ salad. It also mutes the spiciness of the seasonings a bit making it better for consumption. I tried to eat it anyway and pulled a HAIR out of the bite I just took. Disgusting! I nearly threw up. What happened to hair net's or hair tied up? Also double checking the order. I hope management sees this and takes in to consideration the suggestion. Management should also contact me to make it right. If I spend 30 dollar's with a tip only to have to throw away an entire meal is a waste of my money and time.
