Rosita's Cafe

We were on our way to Carlsbad Caverns and a member of our group needed a restroom & Dell City was the closest place. Don't believe the search engines, we could not find the listed gas stations and it was lunch time and Rosita's was open. This is authentic and delicious. I had the Chili Rellenos plate and savored every bite. It included rice, beans & and salad, the necessities of life. My friends had tacos & burritos which they thoroughly enjoyed. This is not fancy but was very clean. The owners & locals who were there were very friendly and assisted us, we don't speak Spanish, with our order. Like I said, this is authentic and you should go out of your way to grab a great meal. I'm sorry we didn't get to try breakfast, I'm sure it would be worth the stop. The sad part is that I live in Ohio and it is too far to go for lunch.

Love this place always get there breakfast burritos with every thing in it plus sour cream and tomato very hot and very fresh. They are so nice every time I go in they always great me with a smile and ask how I am doing. They are great and would recommend them to everyone

I highly recommend Rosita's Cafe! They serve the best authentic food I've tasted in a long while! I had the plate that consisted of Green Enchiladas, Chili Relleno, A Taco, rice, beans, and salad. It was delicious! The salsa and the food are all homemade. Everyone was so very nice, and the owner is especially welcoming. You will feel right at home and leave with a belly full of satisfaction.

I had the fried shrimp dinner which was good. The shrimp, and fries were hot which was awesome. But, the avocado salad was room temperature. That should have been a warning. That was my only meal all day and I had diarrhea the entire day afterwards from it.

That wouldn't have even mattered much if they tasted even remotely OK. Taco Bell is a huge step up from whatever I was served. They were dry and there was no sauce or cheese besides what was already on them when they got nuked. I swear they were like gas station refrigerator case enchiladas. The thing is, the place is quaint and clean. The server was really sweet and the tea was great. Maybe I ordered the one thing everyone else knows you shouldn't order and the rest of the menu was great. I don't know. I was just really hoping for great food and I couldn't even finish it. I don't even feel good about leaving an honest review because the staff was so nice but the disappointment was so intense and the other reviews were the opposite of my experience, so I felt like it was necessary to write.

THEY ARE NOT HOMEMADE OR AUTHENTIC MEXICAN TACOS OR FLAUTAS., They use store bought Taco shells and probably DeliMex Flautas. We ordered lunch., 3 Large Mexican Combination plates., 2Tacos, 2Enchiladas, 1 Chile Relleno, Beans, Rice and Salad. They told us they ran out if Chile Rellenos., i was fine with that so we substituted it with a Flauta. We get our plates with no rice and the Flauta was skinny as a straw and extremely over cooked. I asked about the rice, well they did not have the courtesy to tells, “we also ran out of rice” cause at that point we would’ve ordered something else or gone somewhere else. My young granddaughter ordered a burrito which they forgot😡To top it off I didn’t know my brother had gone to pay and they charged full PRICE! It’s like going to McDonalds or What a Burger and order 3 Combos, you pay full price but you don’t get your fries cause they ran out! Who does that? ROSITAS RESTAURANT, no class or standards!!! Had i known I would’ve driven to Carlsbad.
