What a charming place. The beautiful old building adds ambience to the excellent food. We had a local salad, octopus, onion soup and spilt a pizza (the spicy one) . Every course was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Paired with a white bobal wine , which we have already googled to find out where to buy it for the house. Excellent 👌

Nice place, big outdoor space to sit in a sun. Very various menu where everyone can find something for the taste. Not all waiters understand english though, but you can always manage. It gives some charm. i think the fact that I returned for second visit speaks more than everything else.

wonderful and cozy restaurant in the center of Denia. in a small square in the old part of the city, as if by magic, this famous restaurant is located. locals will surely invite you to it. And without pre-ordering, it will be difficult for you to get into rush hour. Cuisine and service are of the highest order. I get there every time I visit Denia. A must to visit. Recommend. The food is delicious and prepared and served.

Amazing atmosphere, delicious food and good wine. The place gets super busy, with people queueing for a long time so get there before 8pm. Service could be better but overall we had a great time at very reasonable prices.

fuimos mi madre y yo a celebrar su cumpleaños, La primera impresión del restaurante fue la chica que reserva las mesas, atención 0 y educación 0 no te da ni la bienvenida, además de que ella grita con los empleados. Bastante desagradable. Los camareros bastante buena gente, se les nota que tienen mucho trabajo y puede que cometan algunos errores pero nada fuera de lo normal. En mi experiencia le doy un 5/10 al restaurante y deberían cambiar el menú de las pizzas ya que tienen un muy buen horno que pueden sacarle bastante provecho, pero la elección de ingredientes no es muy buena. gracia .

Bonito restaurante con decoración rústica con piedra y utensilios antiguos. Pizzas muy ricas pero no puedo decir lo mismo de los calamares que no nos gustaron mucho. Servicio un poco lento. Tiene terraza fuera que no admiten reservas, solo dentro.

Sitio recomendable. Buenas atención. Buenas carnes, aunque teniendo brasas la preparan en plancha. Paletilla de cordero en el horno riquísima.

The pizza was expertly crafted in a stone pizza oven and was absolutely delicious. The paella was also quite tasty and well-prepared. The children’s meal was decent but could have been better. The service was top-notch and exceeded our expectations (5/5). The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere that was perfect for families with children. However, the noise level inside the restaurant was a bit too high for our liking.

Always good open fire roasted chicken or lamb and fantastic pizza. Set in one of the towns squares, the restaurant is well designed and quirky with outdoor seating. The only thing that lets it down…

Lovely meal here, plenty of things to choose from the menu and the wine was good too !!..plenty of people waiting to eat here too, whilst we sat down.

How disappointing…. The food was ok, (pizza, fries and salad with wine) but the service was absolutely awful. The waitress’s clearly did not want to acknowledge us, and ours even turned her back…

Fuimos a cenar 4 personas, tuvimos que esperar un montón para que nos dieran mesa a pesar de que habían bastantes vacías. Cuando por fin nos sentamos tardaron bastante en servirnos los platos y encima nos sirvieron antes los principales que los entrantes. A pesar de que la comida estaba bastantes rica, el servicio fue pésimo. Muy lentos y los camareros muy mal educados, tuvimos que pedir las cosas varias veces porque se olvidaban y no nos lo sacaban. Muy decepcionante.

Been coming here for years, always very good food, service and atmosphere.. today they let me down, booked a table for 10 people- 2 weeks ago and when we showed up they stuck us in the local next door that they use in verano for their "vermut bar" as they had overbooked the main restaurant. They also had the bright idea to put 2 other unfortunate parties with us in the same cramped quarters and let us try and make it work..so cramped waiters couldn't even do there jobs correctly, fortunately but unfortunately 1 family decided not to accept the situation and left so between us and the other party we were able to make a suitable compromise and make a bad situation good...in final all I have to say was food was very good, service was ok...given the situation the waitress was put in and the biggest failure was management for not saying no when they are overbooked...no compensation was even offered for our inconvenience, just another sign of a business with no conscience or consideration

The food is beautiful and the atmosphere is nice but the service is shocking. The staff don’t know how to smile, they bring main meals out 20 minutes apart and when it came it was mildly hot. We asked multiple times for more drinks but nobody came.

A little disappointing as we had heard good things about this place. Very beautiful restaurant with historic stone walls and attractive decor. However, the food leaves a little to the imagination. We ordered croquettes, octopus and salazones (salt fish) for starters. The standard was satisfactory but nothing special. The pizza is fine, nothing more. Finally the service was not very friendly and we also had to queue outside the restaurant for 20 minutes despite there being lots of staff and free tables inside. One final positive is that the prices are fair but I would still not return.

Tuvimos una camarera joven muy desagradable, entiendo que el trabajo no es fácil, pero la atención al cliente fue inexistente. Pedí una ensalada César que estaba al nivel de McDonald’s, con lechuga seca, una salsa común y pollo seco de baja calidad. Quizás los demás platos estén buenos, pero no pidan esto porque se van a decepcionar.

Todo rico. Pizza a mi gusto, muy buena. El mullador riquísimo. El servicio muy mal. Después de pedir la comida, el mullador lo traen cuando estábamos terminando la a pizza; y las clochinas las dejamos porque las trajeron cuando estabamos con el café. A la hora de pedir la cuenta, nos dió tiempo a echarnos una cabezadita. No sé cuál es el problema, pero el servicio funciona muy mal.

The food was nice, but.. the waiting staff were rather strange. We waited a while to be served, and then when the waitress came to take our order, halfway through giving her our food preferences, she suddenly apologised and disappeared, and she never returned. We didn’t get any of the food we ordered through her, and then we had to flag down another waiter who eventually did take our order. The food came in dribs and drabs, and we missed one of our main dishes until about twenty minutes after finishing our other mains. We ordered 3 coca dishes, which never materialised. We had to ask a lot of questions to prize out information about the dishes too, for example, that one of the fish dishes doesn’t come with any accompanying rice, salad or chips. It took us two hours to be served all in all, and we just had drinks and a main. I’m a fluent Spanish speaker, so comms wasn’t the problem. Food was done. Weird service though, to say the least, which was a shame as this restaurant came highly recommended to us.

COMEMOS EN EL LOCAL CONTIGUO DEL “AL FORN” A 14,5 GRADOS EL DÍA DE REYES, SUCIO Y CON POLVO. Hemos ido a comer el día de Reyes toda la familia al restaurante “Al Forn”. Lo pongo entre comillas porque el lugar donde nos ubicaron tenía poco o nada que ver con un “forn”: ni horno, ni calor, ni siquiera una temperatura mínimamente agradable. Más bien parecía un establo, a juzgar por el estado de los aseos, la humedad del local y el polvo acumulado en las luces y en general en todo el espacio (algo que, como se aprecia en las fotos, no es de uno o dos días). Éramos un grupo de 22 personas y la reserva se aceptó sin informarnos en ningún momento de la sorpresa que nos esperaba al llegar: como “regalo de Reyes”, no comeríamos en el Forn, sino en una pseudo-taberna del local contiguo. Este cambio lo habríamos aceptado sin problema siempre que se cumplieran unos mínimos de confort e higiene, cosa que claramente no ocurrió. Nada más entrar, el frío era evidente. Según los camareros, no se podía encender la estufa porque funcionaba a gas y había peligro de gases, y los conductos de ventilación solo funcionaban con aire acondicionado. Resulta curioso, porque el mando del aire acondicionado —idéntico al que tengo en mi oficina— permite seleccionar “modo calor”. Ante la situación (local sucio y frío), no nos quedó otra que quedarnos. Día de Reyes, 22 personas y a las 14:00 h, era imposible encontrar otro sitio para comer, salvo quizá un Burger King. Y sospecho que precisamente a eso juega la señora que regenta este local y otros tantos en Dénia. Como el mando del aire acondicionado muestra la temperatura interior, pudimos comprobar que comimos a 14,5 ºC, cuando en la calle hacía 11 ºC. Es decir, prácticamente a la misma temperatura que en el exterior. Una auténtica falta de respeto y una vergüenza para una mesa de 22 personas. No es la primera vez que nos ocurre algo así con un restaurante de esta cadena. Hace tres años, cenando en Federico, en pleno verano, el calor era insoportable. Al pedir que encendieran el aire acondicionado, nos dijeron que no podían, no porque no funcionara, sino porque “no podían” (ya sabemos por qué). Por tanto, aviso a futuros comensales: si reserváis para más de 14 personas, os meterán en el espacio que se ve en las fotos. Queda a vuestra elección aceptar esas condiciones o buscar un lugar donde al menos traten a los clientes como personas y no como ganado. Por lo que he visto en otras reseñas, no es un caso aislado. Es una práctica habitual cuando el local principal está lleno: trasladar a la gente al otro espacio, pasando la comida de un local a otro y ralentizando el servicio. La conclusión es clara: quien mucho abarca, poco aprieta. Si se intenta llenar a cualquier precio y tratar así a los clientes, se deja de fidelizar a quienes buscan una experiencia mínimamente digna. Aunque parece que estos locales viven de turistas de paso y del “una y no más, Santo Tomás”: vienes una vez, pagas y te vas con la experiencia que te toque. Edición: subo un comentario a las RRSS del restaurante y en lugar de preguntar que paso ese día, ponerse en contacto conmigo e intentar corregirlo para el futuro, su solución es borrar el comentario y como si aquí no hubiera pasado nada. 0 autocrítica.

Pides pan con ali oli y te traen tostadas con tomate y mayonesa... Al menos no lo cobraron tras la queja, pero denota el mal servicio. Con los guiris colará? El resto de platos estuvieron bien: tellinas, pulpo, pescado frito, calamares a la andaluza y sepia a la plancha

Hemos ido a cenar, pedimos una entrada, un pizza y una coca. Primero nos ponen la entrada y nos retiran el plato y esperando a que nos traigan lo demás, observamos que clientes que habían llegado media más tarde están sirviendoles y a nosotros no. Los camareros no son capaces ni de mirar a la mesa para poderles preguntar y cuando por fin nos atienden, le pregunto por nuestra cena y nos dicen que he habido una equivocación y no esta hecha nuestra cena. Atención cero. Los camareros no están atentos a los clientes.

Vengo mucho a este restaurante con mi madre, amigas y pareja, y tengo que decir que esta noche he tenido una experiencia bastante mala. Pedimos pan con alioli y nos dijeron que no quedaba, y nos ofrecieron mayonesa para sustituir el alioli (?). En ningún momento la camarera nos dijo por qué no había, o cuánto iba a tardar en hacerse, ya que 10 min después de decirnos que no había, vimos cómo lo sacaban a las mesas. Los camareros no eran profesionales, uno de ellos comiendo chicle mientras servía y otra mirándome el monedero mientras sacaba el dinero para pagar. Luego, vi como amontonaban a gente en las mesas, que entre mesa y mesa se rozaban los cabellos… esto es poco agradable. Siento que la dueña/el dueño debería de dar una charla y explicar los principios de atención al cliente, y los básicos de cómo dar un servicio al cliente. Dudo mucho que repita en mucho tiempo.

Incluso cuando estaban llenos siempre nos habían atendido de maravilla. No ha pasado lo mismo esta mañana. Había muy pocas mesas ocupadas y aún no había terminado el horario del almuerzo, pero aun así vino el camarero a decirnos a las 11:25h que no servían más almuerzos porque tenía muchas reservas para comer, no había nadie esperando. El camarero mostró muy poca amabilidad y dio la impresión de que no le importaba en absoluto el servicio. Lamentamos esta experiencia, porque solía ser un lugar donde incluso estando lleno el servicio era inmejorable. Ojalá mejoren la atención, da pena ver cómo un sitio que antes funcionaba tan bien puede cambiar tanto por la actitud del personal.

La atención de los camareros siempre ha sido pésima, se olvidan de las comandas y tienes que volver a pedirlo. Hoy 1 de febrero del 2026 hemos intentado reservar una mesa para cenar y desde la web no nos dejaba. Nos hemos acercado, le hemos preguntado a una camarera para reservar y nos ha dicho que le diéramos un momento. Al rato ha venido otro camarero y, habiendo dos mesas cenando, nos han dicho que a las 20:30 cerraban (eran las 20:15) porque se iban de vacaciones. Nos hemos alejado un poco y cuando hemos vuelto a pasar, diez minutos después, se han sentado nuevas personas y les estaban atendiendo. Hemos vuelto a pasar media hora más tarde, ya que íbamos de camino a otro restaurante para poder cenar, y las mesas estaban llenas y por tanto el restaurante abierto. Me parece una falta de respeto y que tienen muy poca vergüenza.

Una ruina , el camarero super desagradable , era latino con tatuajes Pedimos tres pizzas , barbacoa , sant pere y la margarita Lamentable, el queso era plástico en las tres , la barbacoa no le pusieron prácticamente ingredientes por encima ni salsa , COMO PUEDES HACER MAL UNA PIZZA BARBACOA, luego en ninguna de las tres tenía nada de orégano ni nada parecido, y la margarita no tenía ni la albahaca No vengáis a este sitio , terrible

Rudest service I had in a long time. 6 of us sat down, we waited 5 minutes to receive a menu. Then when he finally sauntered over to us he threw 4 menus at us without even looking at us or greeting us. I then went up to try and get 2 more menus and the other waitress basically told me to go back and wait. I asked again for 2 menus and she aggressively handed them to me again without an ounce of respect or service. We then felt so unwelcome that we took our business elsewhere. €250 to the lovely restaurant down the road instead 👍 nice one!

I’ve been coming to Spain for the last 10 years every summer, and this is by far the worst service I’ve ever experienced. No politeness, no friendliness, nothing. The young Mexican guy is acting like if he was a dealer. The food is not that bad tho
