Opinions de Feta's Lone Star Greek Denton
I’m addicted to this place and on thursdays the $9.99 special with an entree and a beer from oak st drafthouse is the best deal in town! Love that they will bring it to you and the atmosphere of the drafthouse makes it an amazing duo! Also they let you substitute the meat on the feta fries for their fried eggplant and it’s some of my favorite fried eggplant I’ve ever had!
You have to try their lamb gyros! They are delicious! It was seriously bigger than my face! I got so full I couldn’t even finish half of it! But it’s the most delicious gyro I have ever had! The sauce they put on it is light but so tasty! This food goes so hard especially for a late night snack!
This place is AMAZING !! I tried their feta fries and a classic gyro and IT HITS THE SPOT!! You can have it with some beers at the bar next door (Oak St. Drafthouse). It’s reasonably priced and the portion size are huge. I don’t know why more people don’t know about this place yet ! Recommendation : Take an extra side of tzatziki sauce
Its Saturday 5/17/25, my friend recommended your truck while we were bar hopping so I tried your classic gyro. Its was big and amazing. There was a thunderstorm and everyone was getting wet and I didn't care because I was eating the best gyro I'd eaten in years. Keep up the good work guys.
Hands down..... The best Gyro I have ever had award belongs to Feta's Hellenic Chicken.
Most likely the best Yeee Row Gryos place in Denton and Denton County. Great Food, Atmosphere and Outstanding Service
Hands down, my favorite food truck in Denton. I am ANNOYING about Feta's to everyone I know and WILL convert everyone into Feta lovers. I usually get the Feta gyro without tomatoes. They're so helpful when it comes to substitutions and man. The food is just so good. I'll invite friends to go to Oak Street Drafthouse just as an excuse to get Feta's. Also, the specials - amazing. It's really what sets Feta's apart because the food offerings never get stale. I will keep y'all's Greek take on shrimp and grits in my dreams. My one grumpy little thing is I think the Greek Penne pasta dish is gone. That was a big go-to, but since the Italian truck is there I'm hopeful for something similar! Truly not something to rate lower for since the other food is still so good. If you haven't been, you need to go. Get the Feta Fries and be a changed person.
Got to speak with Lee the owner. This spot is the real deal. My best friend and I returned from Greece a couple weeks prior and you wouldn’t be able to tell if this was the heart of Athens or Denton. I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki and it was so juicy and cooked to perfection. Amazing little gem here!
The few times I had a gyro I didn't like them, but I ate here for the first time last week and it's by far the absolute best gyro I've ever had. I drive from Allen (55 minutes) to get one before class that's how good it is. I like the cannolis 9/10, but the baklavas weren't that great.
We loved our experience on 8/20! The fajita pita is SO loaded and delicious! The service was fantastic as always!
quick, consistent, good food prices portions
Fantastic! We both had fried eggplant gyros with a side order of dolmas. We came next door and got a cider and they delivered the food to us. It was delicious!
Walked to Feta’s hangry, walked out reborn. The gyro slapped harder than life. Tzatziki? Creamy enough to fix my emotional damage. The baklava?? Life changing! I asked for extra napkins, they handed me a stack like I was royalty. Staff treats you like family and I felt like family. ✨ I tried to move in. They said no. Still giving it 5 stars. OPA!!! 🧄💙🫓🇬🇷
Try the Swedish meatballs and mash on tuesdays! It was amazing…Everything they touch is gold 💛
Food was great. A little salty but really good. Service was wonderful. She brought the food over to the bar for us, it was really nice of her. Worth the price
It’s official. I’m in love with your soup. I’ve had most things on the menu by now and I think y’all are the best. My go-to! ❤️
I don’t live in Denton anymore but any time I come to visit, Feta’s is a must-stop. Some of the best food I’ve ever had and for a very reasonable price. 10/10 spot.
Behold the Poseidon - Cod fish and other ingredients. I had tried them recently. I had honestly ate it too fast. This food is delicious! My first time having Greek food.
Finally we found a great Greek food at a food truck next to Beer Bar where we sit down in cool air conditioned room with fun Halloween decor and a great tunes to chill. We will be back
When Texas has a baby with Greek food, in Downtown Denton. It's a food truck, It's a house, it's a bar, it's indoor and it's outdoors. It's Gyros, and it's lots of Feta. It's such a casual place. You're almost guaranteed to strike up a conversation with a perfect stranger. And if that perfect stranger is one of the opposite sex, well, then, you need to be bold and ask for their number. Who knows, eventually, when you guys have a baby, it may one day solve the space time paradox and bring peace for all humanity.
Amazing greek fare... from a food truck! The Greek Salad was fresh and plentiful. The Dolmas were fantastic! The Dolmas were accompanied by a good number of kalamata olives, peppers and grape tomatoes. Price was reasonable but seating (on the weekend) was limited.
Very authentic tasting food. It was worth the detour off 35. Hefty portions that will fill you up. Fries were very fresh and perfectly seasoned. Super friendly customer service and ample outdoor seating. νόστιμο
Best Gyro I’ve Had In A Long Time! It Was Perfectly Done and Filled With Meat! I Loved It and Going Back Soon! It’s not dine in, It’s order at window, enjoy at a table, or carry home! It’s Amazing! Best Gyro’s in Denton, by far! Thank You Feta’s Lone Star Greek!!
Papa Lee is the heart and soul of Feta’s. Family run business with the best food on the square. Don’t pass it up if you’re on E Oak.
Howdy Folks, you know I rarely recommend restaurants and I will never send you on a wild goose chase. The greatest secret in Texas, can be found just beyond the Denton Square in front of Oak Street Draft House. Let’s give Lone Stare Greek Feta their due. Don’t be fooled by the funny name. This is world class Greek food that happens to be prepared in a food truck! Lee, Alex, Lucas, Marian, and Ashleigh serve up the best Greek food I have ever tasted. Weather you eat it there with a cold drink or take it home and give it the respect it deserves, grab a friend and a great quality white wine. You will not be disappointed. The intermittent specials are incredible. The lasagna…. Will leave you speechless wanting for more. The caprese is light and refreshing perfectly paired with house made baklava is amazing. This is gourmet food and not to be missed. Drive, bike, run or walk to Lone Star Greek Feta ASAP.
Gyro wraps? Perfection. Tender meat, warm pita, perfectly seasoned—it's the kind of meal that makes your eyes close on the first bite. Falafel? A revelation. Crispy shell, fluffy inside, bold flavor—like someone finally got it right. Everything’s just... fresh. It tastes like they made it 30 seconds before you got there. And there’s a kind of “made with love” feeling that you can’t fake. ✅ Pros Ingredients so fresh they practically still have a passport. Options galore—gyros, falafel, loaded fries, oh my. The staff? A whole vibe—warm, helpful, and real. Perfect for a casual lunch or a quick dinner that still feels like a treat. ⚠️ Cons (Nothing major, just worth knowing) Seating can be tricky during busy times—this is a food truck, after all. Be ready to improvise or take it to-go. It gets busy on Wednesdays after the run club, so expect a bit of a wait if you roll up then. (Worth it though.) 🏁 Final Word If you're near Denton and your soul is screaming for something flavorful, run, don’t walk to Feta’s. This isn’t just a quick bite—it’s a whole moment. You’ll leave full, happy, and wondering when you can come back. Highly recommend. Tell them a hungry believer sent you.
Omg, exceeded expectations! I got the Poseidon with a side of feta fries and was blown away! I couldn’t wait to take a bite… lol pic came after!
feta’s lone star Greek is a delightful, unpretentious and unexpected location in the heart of Denton. They proudly display awards they have received and for good reason!! I order the Fazoli, a vegetarian option, and my husband ordered the Classic Gyros. Between the two of us we got one order of fries. We were impressed with the quality of our entrees and the amount of food provided to us. We were shocked by the huge amount of fries included in a single order. Then we were even more taken aback when we tried the fries. They have some kind of warm wintery spices and lemon. Somehow they embodied the coziness of staying home on a snowy weekend morning, and going out with friends in the heart of summer. Our baby was also welcomed by the staff and other patrons. The atmosphere was unexpectedly fun. With excellent people and conversations occurring around us. Great shade and seating. We were also so impressed by the price. It felt like an incredible value and when we tasted it we were sure it was worth every penny. One person can absolutely get a meal for under $10. The two of us paid $20 exactly. This is definitely our new Greek place and we hope you like it too.
So sad I've wasted all these years not coming here. Tried it for the first time after a Wednesday night run at OSDH and it absolutely hit the spot. I got the Feta's gyro and the feta fries.
I casually say “one my favorite restaurants” when reviewing places I dine at frequently, but trust me when I say that Feta’s is ACTUALLY my favorite restaurant in Denton. I crave it every time that I’m in the area and it helps that it’s open late nights too! Hands down best gyros, I always get the #2 (feta’s gyro), but you can’t go wrong with any of them. The Lamb skewers are very tender and have a great flavor to them. If you’re looking for appetizers or something to split with friends, the Spanaki bites (fried spinach, feta, and mozzarella bites) are so good and come with a fig jam to dip. The meze is also a great dish to share and that comes with some delicious dolma (stuffed grape leaves), pita, and grilled halloumi cheese!

Lately they have new girl has been little bit not their level. Her vibe is just unfriendly. She has also consistently messed up the order. They also have stopped bringing food to the guest at the bar. So the food is phenomenal but service can be improved.
Excellent gyros, Italian beef sandwiches, salads, etc. from a food truck in a courtyard next to the Oak Street Drafthouse. For seating, there are four or five tables with patio umbrellas. My group of three people were very pleased with our food (Classic Gyros combo with fries, Feta's Gyros with fries, and an Italian Beef sandwich.) Pleasant staff, decent prices, highly recommend.
Excellent! First time customer, I was almost swayed but the salmon on special. And then a customer told me everything was good but his favorite was the Gyro. I judge a gyro by the tzatziki sauce. This is authentic, yogurt based. Compliments the seasoned gyro meat. Excellent!
Great food truck! Yummy lamb souvlaki and the Greek baklava is the best! I love the cinnamon smell and not too sweet like other baklavas!
I come here at least once a week and let me tell you everything about this place is 10/10. All the workers I’ve interacted with have always been very nice and helpful. Good portions for the price.

The gyros are great but I'm absolutely heartbroken that the spanaki bites changed. It's one of the things I looked forward to every wednesday and now they just aren't right 🥲
The food was really delicious! Even the fried spinach app. I only took a star because although I was assured a few times that sauce would be on my gyro I paid a dollar extra for a small cup of tazitki sauce only to realize it wasn't given to me when I got home...and my gyro was a little sauce less as well. Bummer. I'll definitely give them another shot. I'll just check my bag better before I leave.
The place is overrated. While it is advertised as a hidden gem, that couldn't be further from the truth! For the same price, you can get enough food to take some home from Gyro 360, and the quality of the meat is comparable. The classic gyro was dry! This restaurant is not ideal for families, as you'll be dining in 100-degree heat with flies buzzing around you and your food. Although there's a brewery next to the food truck, it unfortunately smells and looks unclean.
Good until it's garbage , I had to throw away the last 30 dollar order I made . The vegetables were so old and sorry and the feta cheese was watery and smelled very bad. I had a few good orders before but I would not order from here again .

Got horrible food poisoning here from a gyro wrap. Ended up vomiting horribly. No drinking was involved!
Food is ok, it used to be better- but that’s all I can say about them anymore. Their staff’s attitudes are trash! Rude as hell to paying customers, for no reason. Either they are too underpaid to care about treating people with common decency and respect, or they really hate life. This visit did it for me, they’re not worth my business anymore. There’s two other Greek restaurants literally in walking distance from this place, on Hickory St.
