I’m shocked by all those negative comments on small portions and the food not being worth the price because our entrees were massive and delicious! Honestly both the grilled shrimp and all of the tacos were so tasty we will definitely be back. We also really liked the chorizo stuffed jalapeño appetizer. Our waitress was very attentive and always there when we needed her. Highly recommend

The margarita pitchers packed a punch. I preferred the blood orange to the classic but others in our party were team classic all the way. I usually complain because I can't do spicy hot but the restaurant was very accommodating and put everything on the side. I really loved the taste of the wagyu suadero frybread tacos - it was my first time trying frybread tacos and I would definitely order these again! The waiter was fantastic considering we were a big group- he was very attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our meals. I know he felt terrible that he nudged the top of one of the empty vases at the table that ended up breaking against the tile of the tabletop but it was an accident that could have happened to anyone and given the group's rambunctious nature, I'm surprised it didn't happen until he was cleaning up after we were done eating. This restaurant is in a hotel and near the Milk Market. To get to the restrooms you do have to exit the restaurant and head downstairs - it's not close but it's clean. Considering they serve alcohol, they should probably direct people to restrooms that are more accessible. The decor gave off a fun vibe and all in all it was a perfect location for a large group occasion.

We had a lovely brunch here whilst visit Denver. We tried to get in to other places but they were full. So we went to the Kachina, located in the Mavern Hotel. There was no line and we got seats straight away! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Huevos Rancheros and my husband had the burrito. We have had so many huevos and burrito's but these were absolutely delicious, well prepared and you could taste all the ingredients, there wasn't too much cheese or sauce or over flavoring - it was perfectly seasoned and made fresh! Delicious. I am quite fussy with my food and wass pleasantly surprised. The service was great too.Our server was friendly and hospitable. Great experience.

We had such a great time, the food was excellent, so fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the great menu with many options, I ordered the veggie pozole soup and salad, my Friend ordered the empañadas and salad. Both were so good ! The open kitchen was awesome, it was great to see the food being prepared, and the staff were phenomenal. The atmosphere is full of interesting, artsy pieces. I will definitely be back next time I'm visiting ! Delicious !

Over the last 5 years our food tour company has brought over 10,000 guests thru Kachina to enjoy their Mexican cuisine with Native American influences. Highlights include all their fry bread tacos and the house made sauces and salsas. The excellent margaritas and spirits list including their mezcal and tequila tasting are great too. Just as good as the food is the service. We've worked with management, servers and the kitchen over the years and find them to be among the kindest, most accommodating and fun partners we have. I (and we) highly recommend Kachina for a drink, a taco or your next celebration. We are proud and happy to work with them and hope it continues for a long time to come.

Went for brunch and was super happy and full upon leaving! Our server was great(wish I could remember his name), drinks were delicious, we had bottomless margs and sangria. Well they bring the margarita over in a pitcher and a salted highball but I just went straight for a straw in the pitcher 😂😂. The food was flavorful, hot, and fresh, literally no complaints.

We had the hangar steak (medium). And the chicken tinga taco and the tequila carnitas taco. The corn tortillas were delicious. The steak was awesome! The tacos also were excellent and hit the spot. The sauces were exquisite. Overall, excellent food and presentation at a reasonable price.

We stopped here before a Rockies game last night. We had a pitcher of Margaritas, which were purple for game day . The tacos were absolutely delicious. Mindy was our server, and she did an outstanding job, she was super kind and attentive. I’d recommend stopping by this place for a quick drink and bite to eat. The restaurant itself is open and very clean, and is beautifully decorated. 10/10 would recommend

During our stay at The Maven Hotel, we dined at Kachina Cantina located in the Maven’s lobby for brunch. Their brunch was so good that we ended up eating breakfast here twice (repeat customers here). Kachina is now serving brunch on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. We arrived at Kachina and were seated in the main dining room. The aesthetic of the restaurant was that of a lively cantina with a bright mural wall, turquoise thatched chairs, & metal light fixtures. Our server Cody was a doll - he had fantastic energy and knew the brunch menu inside & out. Cody recommended our two favorite dishes of the morning. Kachina had Bottomless Margaritas for $25 & Bottomless Mimosas for $20. For Margaritas we had the Jalapeño Cucumber Margarita, the Blood Orange Margarita, and the Rockies Margarita. The Jalapeño Cucumber Margarita was my favorite and was made with jalapeño + cucumber infused tequila, lime, & agave. For appetizers we had the Pan Y Queso made with homemade ricotta, local honey, & fried bread. The pillowy sweet bread was the perfect base for the fluffy ricotta. For our Main Dishes we had the Quesabirria, Chicken & Waffles, and the Vegetable Relleno. The Quesabirria was made with birria quesadillas, asadero, avocado salsa, & pickled onions. The flavorful stewed birria beef was bold in chili taste and was fall-apart-tender (my mouth is watering just thinking about it). The soft corn tortillas were covered with melty cheese and enveloped the shredded meat. This was my favorite dish of brunch and I had it again the next day - a must order! The Chicken & Waffles were made with chorizo gravy, fried chicken, & churro waffles. This was a fun twist on classic chicken and waffles and was Ross’ favorite. The vibrant chorizo gravy was savory with a bit of a spice - the perfect addition on top of the fried chicken. The churro waffles complemented the savory chorizo with cinnamon sugary sweetness. The Vegetable Relleno was made with poblano pepper, asadero, rice, avocado salsa, & cotija. The exterior of the vibrant forest green pepper was fried to perfection. The pepper was stuffed with tasty cheese & veggies.

This place is so good we went twice during our 3 days in Denver. Everything is fresh and delicious. The Navajo fry bread is fantastic. Great open faced quesadilla with carnitas. The variety of margarita's are creative and tasty. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!!

Had the pleasure of stopping here last year during a food tour our last time in Denver, and had to come back during this visit back this year. Food and drinks were exactly as we remembered and we already can’t wait to come back again! The small upcharge for fry bread on their tacos is always worth it! We sat on the patio and the people watching with the incredible food and drinks made for really nice brunch! Love this place!!

Amanda was absolutely amazing—so kind, attentive, and incredibly accommodating from start to finish. She made us feel truly taken care of and elevated the whole experience. The food was hands down some of the best I’ve had in a long time, and the drinks were just as impressive—perfectly made and delicious. Everything about our visit was top-tier, and Amanda played a huge role in that. We can’t wait to come back!

The staff is fantastic! Our waitress was Tess, she’s very attentive and made our Sunday enjoyable! We will def be back and recommended this location to anyone looking for good vibes, good service, an amazing happy hour selection, meal and awesome service/staff that actually give a shit:)

This was a scheduled stop on our Guided Food Tour. It was pretty fantastic!! The dough they use for their tacos is wonderful!! The Margs were tasty as well. What a cute, trendy spot!

The food was amazing! The rice was very flavorful, and the first bite sent me. The huge poblano pepper was stuffed with cheese, corn, and zucchini, and was fried perfectly. 10/10 would recommend. And the staff were very nice!

This was our first stop in Denver, and it did not disappoint! We arrived at 11:15 on a Sunday for brunch and were immediately seated for a great start to the day. My partner ordered the Tequila Carnitas Skillet, and it was enormous! Packed with tender carnitas, roasted Brussels sprouts, and topped with a perfectly cooked egg, it was a meal fit for two or great as leftovers the next day. A fantastic value for the price. I opted for the Quesabirria, and wow, so much flavor! The beef and fried cheese combination were magnificent. It came with rice and beans. Since it was brunch, and I didn't realize rice and beans were included, I added a side of potatoes, but they weren’t necessary. The portion was large enough to share, and the potatoes were like mini fries with spices. While tasty, a touch of peppers and onions would have made them perfect. The server was friendly, attentive, and added to the overall welcoming vibe. The decor was fun and vibrant, making the atmosphere just as enjoyable as the food. Next time we’re in town, we’ll definitely be back to try their lunch or dinner options!

This is the perfect weekend brunch spot. I loved the decor and vibe of the restaurant. Staff was all very friendly and welcoming. We ordered mimosas and I was very happy with the juice options. Food was also very high quality. I would recommend and go back again to try new items on the menu

The food was really great! Was able to try a few different things on a food tour. Even the desserts were really delicious and I feel like desserts are usually very typical or overpowering. I don’t know if it was because it was later at night, but the servers seemed a bit annoyed. Not as welcoming as I would have liked, but the food and ambiance were both great!

Bartender Leah is amazing!! Drinks are GREAT but her attitude and friendliness by far made our visit wonderful. So wonderful that we returned the next day for her service and special drinks. I wanna be like Leah when I grow up :-)

My most recent visit was amazing. Our party of 5 was there on a super busy afternoon/evening (10/11) Our server was Melinda and she was fantastic. She had several parties she was taking care of yet we never felt ignored. She was super helpful with suggestions and always happy to answer any questions and requests.

We visited this place for the mimosas, and they were absolutely delicious. The food and drinks were amazing. Our server, Tess, was incredibly friendly and attentive. We ended up staying a bit longer than we had planned, but we never felt rushed or inconvenienced. If you’re looking for great Mexican food and mimosas, I highly recommend this place!

From start to finish, our experience at this restaurant was absolutely incredible! David and Jennifer went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made the visit so enjoyable. The food was a solid 10/10—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the mimosas? Absolutely top tier—perfectly balanced and so refreshing. We left with full hearts, happy stomachs, and huge smiles. Can’t wait to come back!

Oh my god we weren't even going to stop and eat here, but I am so glad I did. Jennifer was our waitress and she was amazing. Super fast and super friendly. Even our host was very sweet, girl with long black hair. The food was incredible! Please get the hatch chili soup I'm not sure what it's called but that's probably the best we've ever had. My daughter got the kind of saw that tacos and the sauce that comes with it is amazing.

I have to give major props to Leah, one of the best bartenders I’ve ever met. She absolutely kicks ass at her job — friendly, composed, and genuinely human in the way she connects with guests. Even after a hectic Broncos game crowd, she handled herself with total grace, never missing a beat. Her drink recommendations were on point, and she brought real personality and warmth to the experience. Leah has that rare ability to make you feel like you’re not just another customer but a welcomed guest. Between her professionalism, charm, and creative touch behind the bar, she made the whole night memorable. I can’t stop thinking about how good the vibe was — I’ll definitely be back soon.

Amanda was amazing! She made great recommendations that did not disappoint. Two of us shared the El Capitan Burrito Bowl and the Octopus. Plenty to eat and reasonably priced. We will be back!

We stopped by this place in the indoor market, and we have no regrets. The food was delicious and our server was very friendly despite being extremely busy. However, the prices were crazy. I paid $11.75 for only 2 little tacos. My friends said that they enjoyed their drinks. They ordered: - Paloma - Fall Bliss - Margarita Rockies We noticed that the physical menu prices differed from the online menu, and we ended up paying the more expensive price. While I enjoyed the experience, I don’t know if I would return.

Located on the corner of Wazee St & 19th St, connected to The Maven Hotel at Dairy Block. The restaurant is clean and organized with nice decor and bar area. I tried their 'Taco on Frybread' (Southwestern specialty), accompanied with a Margarita. The taco on Frybread was interesting, tasted good and satisfying but I didn't love it, maybe because I'm comparing to the best Mexican tacos I've had in my hometown of California. The Margarita was so good, the best one I tried in Denver for sure. Overall, we had a good experience at Kachina.

Amazingly delicious food and drinks! It was a Thursday evening and this place was happening!! Great choice of tacos and Mexican food and margaritas. My favorite was the Birria and tacos on fries tortillas that looked like clouds! Note, salsa and chips are not complimentary but good nonetheless. The margaritas are great and I recommend getting them by the pitcher! Great ambiance, great food, great service!!

Nice spot. They took a while to seat us although we have a reservation. They seated us outside of the restaurant (at milk market lobby), I didn’t care much for that. The service was good, friendly staff. The food was delicious. I got one of my taco tortillas as fried, but it wasn’t good at all. The other taco was fantastic. Overall good experience.

Location: it's a very good and prime location, near to Coors field and union station Ambience: very good, nice wise and enough space for everyone. They do have some rope chairs Cost: most of them are little expensive considering the quantity Taste: Decent level, not bad and not so good compared to other restaurants nearby. Parking: street parking and paid parking as usual things in downtown. Overall good place to hang around with family once to get the feel, if no other options.

The Cauliflower Tacos are delicious. I would definitely recommend trying it with the fry bread as well. The Plantain appetizer is very sweet though and needs some spicy flavors to balance it. I also hope they add more vegetarian options to their tacos like Jackfruit or Tofu.

I really want to give 3.5 stars but that’s not an option so a 4 it is. Decided to stop by for lunch. Great service. We decided to do the tequila flight which was great! Be mindful that there are multiple flights, so be sure to let your server know; I feel like if you don’t, they don’t ask you and end up picking one for you. The Queso Fundido was absolutely delicious! The tacos are legit street taco size. My bf had the wagyu brisket tacos; he enjoyed it. I had the carne asada, pescado, and shrimp al pastor. The carne asada was delicious! The pescado was decent (spicy, and it’s not mentioned on the menu). The shrimp al pastor was nasty. It was soggy and the tastes of the shrimp, seasoning, salsa and pineapples did not go well together. Skip on the rice and beans. The rice was wayyyyy under cooked. All in all, would I go back: no. Great to experience but hard no. It was way over priced for the food you got. $15+ for 3 small street tacos? I’ll pass.

Had to deduct a star since they charge 2% on DBIF, data base for insects and plants, lol. It seems like resturants are charging for random cause that has nothing to do with the customer. We had a wonderful meal tho. Servers were nice and it was a shame that servers have to see that 2% coming out of their pay. I am not gonna waste my time ask for the fee to be removed from my check and sot for another 10 min until the check comes back.

The food tasted great, and the style of tortilla they serve the tacos in is pretty puffy and thick, so you do get full. They are pricey, but the interior design and style is very open and colorful, it was very nice to look around. I would have given four stars, but the service was pretty slow; there was a long period of time where we could not find our waitress. Upon walking inside and up to the host stand, a guy and gal that were there looked at my boyfriend and I and asked us, what can we help you with, and we replied that we wanted to have dinner, but the way they spoke to us, and looked at us made us feel like they weren't expecting us to want to eat there. It wasn't a welcoming feeling.

The atmosphere is really nice, service was great but the food was just not great. Not sure if it was just me, but I normally love Mexican food, both American and authentic, but I did not like the flavor of the salsas, nor the enchiladas, nor the torta that I ordered. I got ice cream with my churros and I'm pretty sure it was not real ice cream but instead one of those frozen dairy desserts too. I was just disappointed with the food. The french fries are pretty great though!

We had to wait 25 mins to get served until we asked for help. Taco meat was cold and menu didn’t specify all ingredients It was disappointing when my dairy free friend got crema on her taco and there was milk in the churro. The guacamole was good. Delicious chips were delicious.

s

We had the cauliflower, fish, shrimp, and wagu tacos. They were definitely good. I don’t think the $15 choose 3 tacos plus rice and beans is a good offer at all. I don’t even like beans. I got it on the side so my mom could have it and she didn’t eat it. The tacos are also pretty small.

Inside Milk Market the atmosphere was vivid and not too loud. Upon entry the hostess here are very friendly and polite which is a highlight in a frequently filled spot for lunch. All the food was boasting w flavor however not all of it would be considered traditional. Great place for a brunch and palette change. The highlight of my meal was the Pozole Blanco.

M
Myesheia Leffall

The waitress Mindy was def a 10/10 she answered every question with no hesitation & her recommendation where on point🤤 The drinks where delicious so I can’t forget Jason who made a girl want more🍹the “only” reason for the three is the food🤔 It was presented well however the beef birria bowl (Mindy’s rec.)was the only hot entree. The customer service and second attempt at the tacos 🌮 is enough for me to return the overall experience 7.5/10

D
Drew mahaney

The outdoor patio/bar seating is lovely. The tacos are good, but they’re extremely small for the $ you pay. Churros were really just ok, little to no flavor at all. The drinks were fantastic. I had a buffalo trace old fashioned and it was good. Not $20 Old Fashioned good though. Not a bad experience, but we probably won’t be back.

Just not worth the price. My friend and I both got the chicken enchiladas, which came with beans and rice. They brought us chips and salsa which were tasty and the salsa had a smokey creamy flavor to it. Then we ordered the guacamole. Overall I think the best thing was the chips salsa and guacamole. The food was not bad, it was good and it was filling. But, for the price definitely not worth it. Maybe brunch is a better time to go or for dinner for drinks. I saw on their menu they said 5 stars, before we sat down so we went in, but after we sat down and I looked up the reviews online it was lower than 5 stars. Our server was very nice and did great just not worth the price. For two people who just got chicken enchiladas chips and salsa and guacamole with one diet coke the price was like 78 dollars including tip.

We visited Kachina Cantina on Valentine’s Day while on vacation in Denver. The restaurant itself is beautiful; very vibrant, fun, and thoughtfully designed. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive, though the hostess was somewhat dismissive. Given how busy the holiday was and it was reservation only I can be understanding. The restroom location is also quite inconvenient, as it’s located kinda far from the restaurant inside the hotel. The food tasted good during the meal, and at the time I was enjoying the experience. However, later that night I became severely ill with what appeared to be food poisoning. The illness lasted a day and a half and unfortunately ruined the remainder of my trip. Given that it was a prix fixe menu, I would imagine they’d have the food prep down. I understand that busy holiday service can be challenging, but food safety is critical and especially for guests who are traveling. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and looks into it. The atmosphere and flavors were promising, but the aftermath significantly impacted my experience.

R
Roma Gandhi

This isnt what I was expecting. The food was subpar and that was the disappointing part because it is expensive. The waitress was very nice though. Honestly if you get there just keep walking all the way through to either the bar in the hotel or Huckleberry Roasters and I promise you, you will have a better time. I got the cauliflower tacos and the only flavors I tasted was spicy and tarte and I'm not a fan of tarte tacos.

S
Steven K

Good food and good location. Only 2 stars because we made a last minute reservation on open table and the hostess said she would not honor it. Since she was rude, I spoke to the manager and he seated us. But it’s never fun to eat at a restaurant where you’ve had conflict. I won’t go back but hope your experience is better since I’m not sure if it’s a poor policy issue or if the hostess didn’t know what she was doing. Wait staff was good.

R
Robert Amiscaray

This is not a typical Mexican restaurant, it does not have what you would consider classical Mexican dishes. All dishes have been altered with a special touch to them. The food and cost leads me to believe it’s trying to be an upscale Mexican restaurant but misses the mark with food and service. The host and waitress didn’t give a good initial impression. The salsa’s are not traditional and miss the mark like the Marita salsa tasted too bizarre for my taste. The habanero pineapple salsa was like watered down pineapple with some sort of mild spice to it, the pico de gallo was good. I ordered the barilla entree for $24 which Only came with the barilla, meat, rice and tiny tortillas (picture looks like they are big, but they are not) and you’d think they could add beans for $24. The barilla meat was ok, and I was not a fan of the thicker rice. I would like the barilla fried in the tortilla like some other Mexican restaurants do and a cup of the broth to dip into. The green Chile nachos entree was good, nothing amazing it’s literally just chopped green chiles on top. Let’s talk about the service, it was bad, from the host to our waitress who might have also been the bartender gave every effort not be nice to us, no greeting, no smile, no apology for the dirty dish she gave to us, no checking on us for refills. We were dining at the restaurant and told the waitress we would also be placing an order to go, she never bothered checking with us on what the take out food was and never came back out to see how things were going after she gave us the food. She was to busy inside chatting. This is the first one in a long time that I had really bad service especially for a restaurant trying to be more upscale and make a name for itself.

L
Leonardo Martinez

I was really looking forward to trying this place, but I’m very disappointed with what happened last night. I went with my girlfriend expecting to enjoy Valentine’s Day, and the experience was terrible. She doesn’t drink alcohol, yet she was served a drink with alcohol. We were also brought yuca fries that we never ordered. When we placed our food order, it was forgotten and we had to wait about an hour. When my meal finally arrived, the meat was burned. On top of that, when I asked for the check, they brought one bill, and when I went to pay, they brought another one charging for a dessert I never ordered. I ended up paying $167 for just one dish and one beer. I’m really frustrated because I wanted to enjoy a nice meal with my partner. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back.
