I went searching for some authentic Italian food and holy canoli, this place did not miss. I made reservations for a table online very easily, asked for a table with leg room. My friend and I arrived to a very warm and friendly greeting, we checked in and the reservation note was confirmed, to my appreciation. The service was amazing... This was my first time, so I had a lot of P.I.T.A. questions. The Waiter was very helpful, informative, and made sure that everything was answered fully. The recommendations were top tier, the food was phenomenal, and the environment was fun. I will definitely be going back.
Odyssey is a great local Italian eatery right off 6th. Delicious classic pasta choices to choose from, with the option to add proteins like chicken, sausage and meatballs. The bolognese was quite delicious with a hearty home style flavor. A very cute and quaint dining experience with very friendly staff who were accommodating to group's needs. 🅿️ Parking is of course non existent so give yourself plenty of time to find street parking nearby. (it can take a few blocks to find one 😅) They also have a nice outdoor patio to dine on. We were able to make reservations for our group of 4. 🍝 The food was absolutely great including the warm fresh bread with butter and garlic. 🚹 I didn't use the restroom, so cannot review.
We had a nice room with one other table. Started with the corn raviolis and they were bomb! The. Move to the lobster stuffed shrimp. Every pasta, every entree… top marks! Have some wine while you’re there. This is a must stop if you’re a fan of Italian food.
Amazing atmosphere. Hospitable, attentive staff. (Thank you Johnathon.) Fresh seafood. Some of the best lobster around. Love the spicy option. They made sure to make our anniversary VERY special!!!! Try the coconut cake! It’s big enough to share between 2 people. DRESS UP… don’t be that person wearing a track suit and white baseball hat in December. Very poor taste. There is no room in the restaurant for a stroller so consider leaving at home. Multiple floors with stairs. If needed, make your reservation on the main floor if accessibility is needed.
This restaurant is a great mix of cozy and intimate. We sat at the bar, and had amazing service from the bartender (unfortunately I don't remember his name). The food was excellent, the cocktails were well done, and the deserts are mostly sourced from local people (IIRC). We will definitely be back.
The best Italian Food! Manicotti is to die for! The carbonara is amazing! Lobster stuffed mushrooms are delicious! Bread and salads are great! Definitely recommend ending with a canolli. Everything is exceptional here!
Wonderful Italian restaurant! Very cozy and romantic, wonderful food. Highly recommend the chicken parm, tiramisu, and cannoli. We will definitely be back soon
I’m not exaggerating when I say that a visit to Odyssey has actually brought warmth to my heart. Was flying into Denver and made a request to make it special for a birthday! It stuck with us when they said that ‘they don’t say no 🤍’ when we walked in a little later than the time of reservation, and it was close to their closing time. The whole experience was very nice and calm, didn’t feel rushed even for a second! And of course, the food is very authentic and delicious! ❤️
Really enjoyed the pasta here! A lot of the menu items are pricey but with how fresh everything tastes you can't go wrong. I think the patio could use a little revamp so that chairs and tables aren't at an angle and the metal glassware was kinda weird to have while eating a $30 pasta... But the food was amazing! We recommend the lobster ravioli 💖
Wonderful service and great people (especially Becca and Austin) who served us food and drinks. We were a group of 5 girls for a bachelorette and we went around closing time. They were very flexible and the food was wonderful, freshly made. The carrot cake was amazing. Would definitely recommend here for any celebrations.
What a great find. If you don't care for the big ole chain joints, then this is the place for you, it's like you're eating at Nona's house! The food was really good, didn't hear any complaints among our party, and we had a variety of items. I need to go back and try the things I was on the fence about!
My husband and I shared our anniversary dinner here and we absolutely love this place! The service and food was amazing!!! All the staff was very accommodating towards the guests. When we asked for something, we didn't have to wait long. Our server Travis did a great job! We really enjoyed his friendly personality. They even put roses on our table to make it romantic. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back again!
From clams, to chicken marsala, to veal saltimbocca! Delicious food with a cozy atmosphere.
If you're craving a home cooked meal from Nona, this is the place to go. It's a neat little old Victorian home with such a wonderful aire to the setting. The food is top notch and so flavorful. The dishes can be a bit hearty and will fill you up. There are so many tasty things it's easy to go overboard. The service was amazing and the recommendations were so delicious. If you're looking for a slightly elevated date night or just a good dinner with the family, this would be a great place to go. Glad Denver has some good (real) Italian to show for itself.
Very fast service and the bartender was awesome! The tortellini was solid and the homemade meatballs were actually really good! I was worried they would be dry which happens a lot but these were very flavorful and perfectly cooked. Side note: the bread they gave me with oil and balsamic was so good!
This little house turned restaurant was an absolute diamond in the rough. I called ahead and spoke with Nick who held a table for us very last minute and we don't regret coming here. Between the 4 of us we all ordered different dishes, tortellini, spaghetti, bow-tie pasta and fettuccine that was to die for! Our starter ceasar salads were also delicious. Our server Travis B was great! We were in at a busier time and he still took great care of us. Very knowledgeable and friendly with great suggestions. The inside of the restaurant was literally in a house, which gave it so much character and a different feel to a traditional restaurant but in a great way. To anyone local or visiting, a must see restaurant in Denver.
We had an amazing experience for our first time here last night! It was my best friend Moose’s birthday, and we made reservations online, only to be pleasantly surprised with a cozy, private room to celebrate. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. And the food. WOW! Each dish was bursting with flavor, decadently rich, and utterly delicious. I’m still dreaming about it! We can’t wait to come back. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
We made a reservation for 5pm on a Saturday and came a bit early to grab a drink at the bar. The bartender was fantastic and our drinks were so refreshing! The food was amazing and service was wonderful. We ordered the Arancini, capellini pomodoro and basil, and penne rustica. So pleased we chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner and can’t wait to go back!
The pastas were absolutely fantastic! We went here on Monday so the pastas were $11.99 instead of $20+. If you are coming here for Monday pasta night, I would call ahead and make a reservation! They do have a warm patio for walk-in customers but it did get filled up pretty quickly so I would definitely make a reservation. Other people recommended lobster stuffed mushrooms, but I found them to have too much fish smell as if they weren’t necessarily fresh. But we are in Colorado, in a landlocked state so I guess that’s okay. The olive oil dressing that came with bread was amazing as well! Loved the atmosphere and food here! If I’m ever coming back to Denver on Monday I would absolutely come back!
Amazing experience here tonight! The service was impeccable, and the food was phenomenal. Highly recommend the lobster stuffed mushrooms. The mussels and scallops in white wine sauce was fresh and delicious. The Fettucine Carbonara was amazing as well. Even the fresh bread served with dinner tasted perfect! The restaurant is beautiful and welcoming. Outdoor patios are well heated and cozy. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
10/10!!! Everything we had was amazing. We are visiting from FL and a local recommended this restaurant to us. So glad they did. The flavors are on point. Everything is so fresh. Definitely check this place out!!
Wow! Hands down one of my favorite Italian places in Denver! Everything about this place was giving old world vibes. The atmosphere is amazing. The moment you walk inside you’ll feel like you are walking back in time. The staff were all fantastic. The food! Oh the food! Wow. Everything we ordered was delicious. From their bread to the appetizers and of course our dinners. It was so good.
What a delicious meal!!!! We love when the food is delicious from beginning to end! Chicken Saltimboca was spectacular! We also ordered the Pomodoro & Basil pasta with the Parmesan chicken cutlet which was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend this place for a great quality Italian dinner. The ambiance is also great, you feel like you’ve been invited into someone’s house for a fabulous dinner party. *We were sat upstairs
Okay. I don’t know where to start. From the host to the waiters. Unbelievable service. We made a last minute reservation as we are visiting, showed up early & were accommodated right away. Johnathon was the sweetest man, he let us sit in his section outside as we waited for an inside table when most places probably would’ve had us just wait on the side. Sit in his section if you can!! 10/10 guy. I didn’t catch the host’s name but total sweetie too. Okay but most IMPORTANTLY the food was to DIE for. I got the chicken picatta & it was the best I’ve ever had & I’m from Boston where we have “the best Italian food”. For perspective I’m a petite 100lb girl who rarely finishes her food. I USED A SPOON to drink the sauce. Nuffff said. GO. Oh also we had Mario, as our indoor server. Older Italian gentleman that was awesome, gave an authentic feel to the place.
This was our first time at Odyssey and I was so impressed by the service and speed. John Paul was our server and he was so genuinely kind and attentive. Even with a few small hiccups with our order , he checked in on us and made sure everything was taken care of in addition to a few other staff members. Their attitude and effort honestly made a difference, and we appreciated being served by someone who clearly cared. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!
New to town so had no idea about their Monday specials which was a huge hit with the locals... and why wouldn't it be. The special is basically $11.99 for ANY pasta dish and comes with free bread service and Ceaser salad per person. That is more than a steal!! We got the Baked Manicotti & Pesto Tortellini and both were scrumptious :P We showed up without a reservation on a Monday not expecting a completely packed house but were lucky enough to grab a spot at the right time and with the help of the hostess for a reservation that was later in the night. We went because of the reviews and the food didn't disappoint. In fact, it's an amazing authentic Italian restaurant, special or not. But ya we are definitely coming here on Mondays whenever we crave Italian food... and this time by reserving in advance. The service was a bit slow due to how busy it was that night and ambiance a bit noisy but then what's Italian food without a little bit of chatter. Loved this gem and it's going to be our go-to Italian spot in Denver now.
I made a reservation here to celebrate my boyfriend and I’s 4 year anniversary on Open Table. The service was excellent! The waitress we had (so sorry I didn’t catch her name) even offered us both a complimentary glass of prosecco and then a rose at the end of the night (for me lol). I got the penne rústica and my boyfriend got the fettuccine alfredo and both were delicious. When i asked for dessert, our waitress brought out a dessert PLATTER to choose from and it was beautiful. We ended up taking the Cannoli to go! We went on monday for their pasta deal (half off)!
We celebrated a family birthday event on December 13th and the experience was beyond fantastic with such wonderful people and such a great venue of This Old House that had been refurbished. Our server is Jamaica who was new to The Venue but she was a genuinely talented person who took care of all of our silly requests. We ended up changing our table to a private room to handle the six of us and had a happy birthday song presented by a former staff member. Last year, our server was Mario and he visited with us throughout the evening. I send much love and thankfulness for a warm family experience
Odyssey was an incredible restaurant with impeccable service from Nic! She took care of us through the entire meal and ensured we had a phenomenal first date! Alyssa was also amazing. Would recommend 1million times over!
It was my birthday & I enjoyed the place so much! The entire setup is pretty and relaxing , no dramatic lights , our server was great! He went above & beyond! For a 1st time visit on a special occasion, it was beyond beautiful to end the night with!!
My husband and I went to Odyssey last night after hearing many recommendations on the Denver Foodies facebook group. It did not disappoint! Its such a cute spot! We were seated outside on the patio which was such a great spot. We each got a glass of wine and then had the bread which was delicious! I got the mushroom ravioli with a side of meatballs. The ravioli came in a sauce I wasn’t expecting, more like a beef broth gravy sauce, but it was delicious! I am very picky about meatballs, and these absolutely passed the test. My husband got the lamb chops which were tender and flavorful. He also got a side of Italian sausage which he said was also delicious. All in all, it was a great experience and we will definitely return!
I give them thanks for being so friendly, so authentic, and so gracious in every way! The owners really took care of us!! I had been here three times in a row around 2015 and it was so great then, could it hold up? YES! It is being improved continually by the Chef/Owner! He came out and sat down with us and he reminded me of the star of The Bear. His wife too! She greeted us enthusiastically and personally! She can run the front end skillfully and make you feel good too! The food? The Wine? PERFECT! The cook is so good! I can’t say enough great things so I’d tell you to try and grab one of three parking places right on 6th Ave right in front and go early! Stretch it out! Have an appetizer, a bottle of wine, and relax into your great food! Stay for desert and sit out front (weather permitted). Just go there and enjoy the royal treatment!!
After a very disappointing experience at another Italian place nearby, we stumbled upon Odyssey, and what a difference it made! From the moment we walked in, the warm welcome and inviting atmosphere already set it apart. The food was absolutely outstanding - fresh, flavorful, and made with obvious care. Every dish felt authentically Italian, with perfectly balanced seasoning and generous portions. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauces had a depth of flavor that the other restaurant we tried earlier couldn’t even come close to. Service was another highlight. The staff were attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about the food they served. They took the time to make us feel comfortable and gave thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. After leaving the first restaurant disappointed, this place completely turned our evening around. It’s a reminder that genuine Italian cooking and true hospitality do exist - you just have to find the right spot. Highly recommended if you want an Italian restaurant that delivers on both taste and experience!
Was headed to Sauce and Shells on a Monday, they were closed and Angelo's had an hour wait. Miraculously after overhearing the hostess tell one party they would have to check back in 2 hours myself and my partner snagged a spot at the bar and learned about half-priced pasta! I feel fortunate because read other reviews here that said it took 2 months to secure a Monday reservation. I recently decided that I am not going to live a gluten free lifestyle even if my 4th cousin from 23andme suggested that everyone on earth is gluten intolerant and there is a global conspiracy to poison us all with gluten ataxia. Starting with the bread, we were already impressed. The texture was perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. There was another review that said it's not that great. Not sure what that persons problem is. I didn't know what to order so got the pasta rustica, a little marinara some ricotta. I understand from the other reviews that this is American Italian food but worked for me. My partner enjoyed the steak/Gorgonzola pasta. That was tasty too, I had the leftovers the next day! The limoncello cake, omg so good
A really amazing experience overall. The staff was wonderful and engaging. The owner spent a great deal of QUALITY time with us. The food was excellent. The lamb shanks fell of the bone and the Gorgonzola pasta was amazing. The service really carried it over the top and I’m so thankful we were able to spend an evening there!
We sat outside on the patio. It was nice. The veal shank with homemade pasta was fabulous. I wasn't happy with the veal saltimboca. I expected a marsala type sauce and it was Alfredo. Plus I could barely detect the prosciutto. Tiramisu was great, service was good. Our server was new (first week) and very sweet. Looking forward to coming back
The food here is outstanding, the arancini is a can't miss. The service is also great, Brandon was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere...is not the best for a date night. This was our go-to spot for date-nights going back since 2015ish, but sadly we will be enjoying their delicious food at home going forward, due to the behavior of other patrons. Our last two visits we have had the misfortune of encountering obnoxiously loud guests who ruin the date-night atmosphere. I'm all for having fun, but when I now know every detail of your friend Greg's wedding, your issues with your generator, and the sex lives of your friend Nikki, it's crossed the line of socially acceptable behavior and volume in a restaurant. That being said, the food and service are outstanding, but maybe order it to-go if you've planned a romantic evening out.
Due to the historic significance and this place being around for so many years we've been yearning to knock this place off our list. Aside from the service there was always at least one thing missing with our experience. The garlic bread came out looking heavenly with a perfect shimmer and layer of garlic ooey gooyness glazed over top but it was cold. The Diet Coke was flat after ordering it 3 times in a row. The pasta dishes we ordered (lamb shank ragu, pesto chicken dish and the chicken Alfredo) were all massively lacking in attention to detail, seasoning, and for some reason had pasta cooked at all different levels. The one commonality is that all of the food needed to be warmed up but we were worried it just be nuked for 30 seconds then brought back out so we didn't bother saying anything The reason I'm giving 3 stars and not one is out of respect to the business, the fact that we haven't tried the chocolate cake still sitting in our fridge, the cold yet flavorful garlic bread and the very attentive and friendly service. All of those positives aside if you're an Italian restaurant and can't figure out pasta then maybe it's time for a massive refresh
Such good ratings. Unfortunately our food was mildly average at best. Garlic bread was good. Outside dining is 15 feet from a very busy road, too much road noise and they attempt to drown it out by load music.
This review is going to be a little good but a lot bad, anyone who has read my reviews knows that I am extremely fair yet critical on my food reviews. The food should have flare and zing, Something you would really want to eat! Tonight I decided to try a different Italian place, the reviews were good so why not give it a try. I arrived and was ready to eat a great meal, The meal began with some bread and olive oil with some olive oil and Balsamic vinaigrette with some herbs to dip it in. Next, I ordered the risotto, rice balls in marinara., Those were exquisite! I decided to pair with a decent Montepulciano wine, which set off the meal great. I asked the waiter, which would he choose the bowtie Gorgonzola with the sun-dried tomatoes or the chicken piccata. He said the chicken piccata was excellent! So.. I decided to order the Chicken piccata, and my wife ordered the lobster ravioli and shrimp. The chicken piccata was very bland and tasteless, The chicken had been marinated, and tasted slightly like lemon, but there was no discerning taste to it, I am not sure if the meal was supposed to include capers, but there were perhaps 3 in the dish, which is not a normal traditional way to make it. There were Artichoke hearts on it and mushrooms, which added some flavor. However, The sauce actually had no flavor at all from what I could tell somebody had pulled the pasta out of the water and put it in the bowl, threw an slice of lemon on it, bit it had absolutely no flavor and was watery! Picatta, Chicken Is easy: ..dredged Chicken, butter, lemon juice , chicken, broth, parsley, capers, White wine, parsley, light seasoning, lemons slices & Italian parsley for dressing it up. Unfortunately, my waiter did not come by until almost my whole meal was over. By that time, I was just wanting to celebrate my night that we were there for. It was our 1 year anniversary and I decided not to blow it because of bad food and slow Service. I let my wife try my dish, she said there was absolutely no flavor to it, so apparently it wasn’t just me. When one of the other waiters came by to help clear my table, I mentioned that there was absolutely no flavor to the sauce, look on his face was strange. I said maybe it’s just me. I’m just a freak chef. And I tried to laugh it off… My wife’s lobster and ravioli was fairly exceptional. The flavors were over the top, although having said that there were only 2 shrimp on the whole plate for $28… interesting. My waiter had really low energy, he could basically talk the way through the menu, but was basically not a very good waiter. I actually watched several times as he stood there with another waiter and they stood there and talked instead of waiting on tables. You’re probably thinking I’m being a jerk at this point. My Experience - I have waited tables in 4 star restaurants and I have also managed 2 restaurants, so I do know a fair amount about how Service and food should go, ah yes & Chef… I was thinking probably I might give this place another chance until the desert came. I ordered a lemon cello cake and also the tiramisu. The lemon cello cake was decent, but nothing to write home about fairly bland somewhat dry. The tiramisu, whoever made it clearly was very incapable, the lady fingers were soaked, and actually kind of soggy, Very little coffee, flavor, and absolutely no liqueur or liquor flavor, bland soft and tasteless…. Still wondering about the mascarpone cheese…something was so off. This was probably the worst I have had in years. I am an avid chef, this food was subpar and by the time the night was over, I think I was $150 out of pocket. If it had not been my anniversary, I would’ve stayed home and cooked my own, it would’ve been so much better! Do better, reviews are what a restaurant live by… I would Not recommend this restaurant
Overall I absolutely enjoyed this place. Delicious pastas and amazing bread. However, the owner wasn't particularly nice. I probably wouldn't come back because of my experience with her. Would recommend their competitors in Luca and Angelo's.
Went last night to celebrate a birthday. I had heard great things about everything here but was very underwhelmed. They were out of half the menu at 7:30 at night, somehow both the drink and app I had been looking forward to. The food itself was fine but I would question quality. The bread seemed like store bought Kaiser rolls, the pasta did not seem fresh and it was overall under seasoned. Our waiter meant well but had a ton of tables, none of which he served the same. Some he talked to and offered advice, others he largely ignored, and one he took shots of limoncello with so it was a varied experience. I’m disappointed and would tamper expectations.
The red sauce is nearly unbearable. Bland, thin, lacking in flavor. Our table, reserved, seemed to be the only one without roses or a candle. Odd. No enthusiasm or information about the house, not even the name of our theme room. With the mediocre food, at least they can play up the strengths they do have, i.e. the building. The bolognese tastes burnt, the spaghetti and meatball, the most iconic, simple dish tasted like nothing. For a twenty plus dollar pasta dish, none struck me as particularly edible. None of us could finish our meal. Might be nice for a late visit for the ambience and overpriced, but decent desserts. Don't plan on having a whole meal.
Went about a week ago with some friends. I’ve heard amazing things from everyone. Unfortunately they were out of multiple beverages, the fryer was down, out of tortellini, out of two different bottles of wine that are listed on the wine list. I understand the fryer cannot be helped but there is a liquor store across the street where you can buy beer and wine when you are in a squeeze. The service was great and the waitress made sure to come by and check on us frequently. The homemade bread was my favorite part. Edit: You are legally allowed to buy $7000 annually in “emergencies” which would apply in this case.
Our waiter, Brandon, was not attentive to our table but was very attentive to other tables around us. We were sat before multiple tables and he got their orders first. We watched tables around us get 2 or 3 things of bread while we recieved 1 to split. He forgot what dessert I ordered and came back to ask me after standing there for a few minutes. It took my bf looking at him for him to remember our drinks and dessert. Now onto the food... appetizers were calamari and the risotto balls. The risotto balls were great. The calamari made both of us sick and we couldn't really eat our entree afterward. Entrees were stuffed shells (said you get 4 shells on the menu, I received 3) and he got penne rustica with the veal cutlet on top. We both like the taste of our entrees except for the veal, it was very chewy and not good. Dessert was limoncello cheesecake, this was amazing. The atmosphere was dark and hot. We were sat right next to the kitchen and it was very loud with dishes cranking together. We could barely hear eachother talk when trying to have a conversation. The girl that brought our entrees to us was amazing though! She was very kind and sweet. Personally, we would not return because of the waiter. He was very unpleasant.
🚨 worst birthday dinner i’ve ever had 🚨 for as much as people rave about this restaurant and their monday night pasta deal, i was extremely disappointed. we went here on monday 6/16 for my birthday dinner, and i have a list of disappointing moments from the experience: 1) my birthday was never acknowledged, despite it being noted on the reservation and my mom sending a bottle of wine and mentioning my birthday to the restaurant as well. also my best friend called and tried to send champagne but the restaurant said it was already handled. the only reason i knew the bottle of wine on the table was for my birthday is because my mom had told my boyfriend about it beforehand. the server never said anything about it, he just poured it for us. 2) we ordered other drinks first, which took forever 3) the server didn’t refill the wine glasses, so my boyfriend did it for us 4) the server never offered parmesan for the pasta and was too busy to ask if we needed anything after dropping off the pastas 5) one of the pastas - the shrimp palermo - had no flavor and was definitely missing something. do not order this!!!!! this was the pasta the server recommended to us and it was one of the worst pasta dishes i’ve ever had at a restaurant. and definitely the worst recommendation i’ve ever been given by a server. it was a very fresh pasta w the veggies in it but just had 0 flavor. 6) for the fact that this was a bday we were sat in a very odd location in the restaurant. not in the main fun area but in an upstairs room with 2 other tables (one of whom was also celebrating a birthday and got a free cannoli and lots of attention) 7) a lot of the cocktails had jalapeño in them. i love a spicy cocktail but that was not what i was looking for that night. would’ve liked a wider variety 8) my caesar salad had almost no dressing and wasn’t good… my boyfriend got the house salad which did have a lot of dressing though and was good. now some positives: 1) you really can’t beat the monday night special prices here for $11 pastas 2) meal started w fresh bread and olive oil, which were good 3) the lobster ravioli was my favorite dish and it was really yummy! a ton of sauce! so we were able to add the leftover sauce from the lobster ravioli to the flavorless shrimp pasta, which made the shrimp pasta good. 4) both rosé wines i tried were excellent 5) the pasta special comes w a salad too 6) would be a cheap dinner option to do w a group of friends 7) ambiance downstairs was fun 8) they have a patio overall, it was the worst birthday dinner i’ve ever had and the experience was a letdown. that being said, we will probably come back here and try other pastas because the prices can’t be beat under the monday night special. but i would never come here for a birthday dinner or special event, especially on a busy monday night (lesson learned).
The first thing I need to mention is that I found a huge CLUMP OF HAIR inside my risotto balls—not on the side of the plate, but inside the food itself. The clump was about the size of a quarter and had multiple hairs of different lengths and colors. That’s a major food safety and cleanliness issue and something no diner should ever experience. When I called the server over, they quickly removed the plate, so I wasn’t able to get a photo (something I regret). However, I did take photos of the pasta and tiramisu we were served—both of which looked unappetizing and poorly presented, which I’ve attached here. The restaurant did comp one dish and offer free desserts, but the food overall was bland, overpriced, and not worth the cost. Service actually became less attentive after we reported the problem, and the manager never came over to apologize or explain what would be done to address the situation. While the restaurant has a cute, intimate layout, our table was placed next to the dishwasher and kitchen, so we had to listen to loud dishes being washed the entire meal. Combined with the hair in my food, this completely ruined the experience. Between the serious cleanliness concerns, poor food quality, bad presentation, and lack of accountability, I will not be returning. If you care about food safety and quality, I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.
Came in for a birthday party and was a late dinner. Restaurant told us they ran out of chicken 45 minutes after we ordered, never bought bread out when we asked, my food ended up tasting worse than boxed hamburger helper. One of the appetizers we ordered never came. Service was inattentive. Food was bad and overall experience just aweful. Also made me sick the next day. awful. Drinks were nasty and dinner was terrible. The only decent thing was the starter salad. Ive had better italian food at Olive Garden. Will not be back.
Table for 5 on second floor. Seating was nice but outdated tablecloths and settings. Ordered a drink which I had to change the alcohol 3 times since they were out of my selections. Main course took hour to come out. Pasta was covered in sauce unnecessarily, I paid extra $6 for sausage and it was a cut sausage over cooked and thrown on top. I was hoping for $6 it would be fresh sausage mixed into the pasta. I couldn’t stop thinking that this was food bought from the store and reheated. Dessert we ordered were carrot cake, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake, and tiramisu. Came back and told me tiramisu was out. Desserts looked like they order in a box and cut them in the back and throw on the plate. I felt kind of robbed for 5 people for the bill to be $358 before tip. The waitress was amazing and I could tell she was so stressed so I truly wish her nothing but the best.
We had a reservation for a party of 6 at 6:30pm on a Sunday and were seated immediately. Our server, Jamaica, was the only highlight of the experience. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the gluten free items on the menu. Everything else was an absolute disappointment. We didn’t receive our food until close to 8:30pm- a two hour wait for what ended up being mediocre food. I ordered the Homemade Manicotti, which was inedible and extremely hard to cut even with a knife. We let Jamaica know and she offered to notify the kitchen, issued a refund for the plate, and asked if we wanted something else. We had already lost two hours and were now late to our next event so we declined to order another plate. There was no chance we were waiting again. My wife ordered the gluten-free Shrimp Palermo, which was just okay, not worth the long wait. The tables around us also seemed to have experienced similar long waits. The experience was extremely disappointing and we will absolutely not be coming back.
