Opinions de Pappadeaux Dfw Airport
Wonderful! This was my first time at a Pappadeaux and I was told how good their food was, and they did not lie. After a delayed flight, we went in to dine. Our server was very professional and pleasant and I did like the character of the restaurant, it really displayed the New Orleans feel. It was spacious and seating was comfortable. We ordered a old fashion and Malbec. The old fashioned was made well. For entrees we ordered the crawfish platter and the prime ribeye. Everything was delicious. It was definitely pricey but then again, it is the airport.
If you’re looking for a more elevated dining experience in the Dallas airport and you love seafood, I cannot recommend Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen enough! We love seafood and don’t mind pay more for quality food so we stopped in hoping for a good meal. The food was even better than expected, our server Ethan was friendly and helpful with suggestions, and the atmosphere was fun. The cosmopolitan was made perfectly! Ethan suggested the spinach and crab dip as an appetizer and it was excellent. We also had the shrimp and scallop pasta and the sea bass. The sea bass is not on the menu yet but I highly recommend it. It’s priced right at $57 at this time. Excellent quality fish and dish in general. We wanted to try the king cake cheesecake but we were too full. 10/10
The photo doesn't capture how good the dish actually was. I ordered today's special which was sea bass and replaced spinach with dirty rice - the restaurant's signature side dish. It was a bit pricey, but both the dirty rice and sea bass were excellent, service was great, and ambiance was nice. It took some time before my plate was served, but I was informed of it before placing the order. Since I wasn't in rush, it wasn't a problem. I will be back again next time I transit through DFW.
Traveling through to see family. Saw Pappadeaux dubbed as a must. They did not disappoint! The atmosphere, hospitality, and food were outstanding. Alexa greeted me with a smile, Larissa was kind and gracious, and the kitchen director heard me asking about the gumbo and brought out a small sample. Excellent visit!
After a disappointing experience at the Dallas Cowboys Club, we decided to try this place—and I’m so glad we did. The food was outstanding! We started with the Fried Calamari & Octopus along with garlic bread, and every bite was delicious. For our main course, we chose the Atlantic Salmon Alexander and substituted pasta for the rice pilaf, paired with a side of Honey Roasted Carrots. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any photos, but trust me—it was worth it. I’m so glad we left the other restaurant and came here instead. To top it all off, our waitress, Katrina, was fantastic—friendly, pleasant, and truly attentive. This experience completely turned our evening around.
Pappadeaux’s at DFW is always a must visit when passing through. I got the crawfish platter today, which is half fried crawfish and half crawfish étouffée. It was an enormous serving and delicious as always. My server Allen was always checking in to make sure I was having the best dining experience. The staff at this location is always gracious and even seated me once at closing time. The atmosphere is top notch too and the prices are reasonable compared to the overpriced fast food restaurants in the airport.
We were hungry and had hours between flights. We decided to eat here, and WHAT A TREAT! I rarely give five star ratings but this time I could not justify giving any less. The food - flavor, presentation etc. was outstanding. Cleanliness was shockingly good. Before my eyes were employees polishing off tables and chairs, then inspecting their work with a flashlight. The service was better than most I’ve had. Our waiter, Ethan was the exemplar of professionalism. He made the entire experience a downright happy one. I will be looking forward to passing through DFW in the future.
Six of us were flying home from Vancouver the Thursday before Labor Day wkd after a 3 week vacation. Our connecting flight from DFW kept getting postponed. We ended up being stuck in Dallas for 4 days. Eating at Pappadeaux was the only thing that lifted our spirits. The atmosphere was wonderful both inside and out. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and super efficient. The food was delicious!
This is my go-to when wanting a fun, tasty adult beverage/ cocktail and some delicious, high-quality seafood to pair it with. Jan. 2025 I wanted to try something different from the red snapper that I had last visit and my regular opelousas dish. Thankz to waiter Ricardo's recommendation last visit. I ended up ordering the salmon alexander as he suggested. It was delicious but I'm a veggie person so I would had probably ask if I could substitute the dirty rice for some sautéed spinach, or broccoli or even some grilled asparagus or honey/ pistachio fresh baby carrots which they have as an available optional side seperately priced. Food here is so delicious but keep in mind it's not gentle to the wallet. But sometimes you jus got to. Update! April 2025 most recent visit after finishing last flt. on "go home day." I ordered the Pappadeaux house salad as my starter and of course my regular entrée Mississippi Catfish Opelousas and replaced the dirty rice for sautéed spinach to stay low carb Keto friendly for a lil' upcharge. So worth it 😊 Update July 31, 2025 after some talking w/ my awesome waitress Karen T. she convinced me to step out of my comfort zone of my usual order of the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas. After some of her other recommendations it was between the rainbow trout or the redfish for me. I chose the trout and swapped the green beans for sautéed spinach this time, but will definitely look forward to trying the Texas Redfish entrée my next visit. After such a beautiful meal I was craving something sweet so another recommendation she made was the chocolate brownie ala'mode. I was presented w/ a very generous slice that was accompanied w/ a couple fresh raspberries that has just the right amount of tartness to beakdown all the sweetness going on from the rich chocolate brownie to the chocolate and caramel drizzled on the the scoop of vanilla ice cream. It too was absolutely delicious and very decadent.
At here at 7:00 at night on a Tuesday and we’re seated right away. Arlen was our server and was friendly, helpful, and checked in with us routinely. The Mississippi Catfish was pretty good, and the dirty rice was amazing. The trout entree was also good. Fairly expensive but it is an airport and the portions are rather large. The N/A blood orange drink is amazing.
The restaurant is located near gate A24 and Skylink. You have to take an elevator to get there. Food was delicious and well prepared, but supper expensive. Two drinks, one appetizer and a Chefs Selections entree plus 20 percent gratuity, we spent over $100. My daughter had the BAKED CRAB MAC & CHEESE, it was cheesy. Could use more crab meat on it. The RAINBOW TROUT & CRAB was amazing. Combination of toasted almonds, brown butter, lump of crab meat and trout was an explosion of favorite in the mouth. I am also happy to see that the Old Fashion was made with Buffalo Trace. LIFE'S A PEACH was good and refreshing. The service was the best part of our dining experience. Our waiter (from Jordan) was very personable and good at his job.
Great place to eat while at DFW awaiting your next flight. The atmosphere was a bit throwback with classic vibes. The service was excellent, kept the drinks coming, and was always checking on us. The food was sublime! Everything was exactly what was expected, and portion size was huge.
I went to the one at the airport, and the food was really good, their crab mac and cheese so delicious, I had a trout dish with sautéed veggies. I'll definitely go back next time I fly through Dallas.

This is one of my favorite airport restaurants. It’s a bit pricey but the food is always excellent. On this occasion I had trout and crab which was very nice. Service is efficient and friendly
I had the snapper & crab, 5 stars, it was absolutely delicious. However, the shrimp that came with it were well seasoned but a little tough and the side of carrots had a great not-too-sweet flavor but a few were so thick they were underdone in the middle. The pecan pie almost more pecans than filling. All told the service was excellent, the atmosphere was about the best you could expect in an airport since it's somewhat underground and the food was good enough that I would definitely return to try other offerings.
This was my first time here in Texas. While waiting for my flight back to Philly, I decided to grab a bite to eat. The menu had so many, what sounded like good selections that I couldn't order just one thing. I ended up ordering several items from the menu. The Gator bites were fried just right. They weren't under nor over, with just the right amount of seasoning. The spicy sauce I had on the side, was also delicious. The shrimp and catfish combination was excellent and as you can tell, the portion is huge. Definitely enough to share, but as you can tell, I'm eating alone 😂. My server Arlen, who by the way was excellent. She was attentive, polite and was prompt with refills on my Arnold Palmers 😂. She also recommended the Texas Red Fish, that came witht dirty rice, shrimp and crab meat. All that I am going to say is..... taste and see 🙌🏾🙌🏾. It is amazing 👏🏾 🤩 😋. The atmosphere here is awesome. Here we are the end on November and my favorite Christmas 🎄 music is playing. Just good vibes. The football games are on the big screen. The prices in my opinion are fair and reasonable. I would definitely recommend eating here, and if ever I have a layover in DFW, I will definitely return to Pappadeaux.
I stopped into Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in Terminal A for dinner before my flight, and it turned out to be a great dining experience. The ambience was nice for an airport restaurant, and the service was great from the moment I walked in. As someone with celiac disease, eating out can often be stressful, but the staff here took my dietary restrictions incredibly seriously. The hostess immediately provided a gluten-free menu, though limited (minus one star), it was helpful, and went a step further by letting me know that the manager would be over shortly to review my options with me. The manager was thorough, attentive, and reassuring, walking me through the safest choices and discussing how they handle cross-contamination in the kitchen. After talking things through, I decided on the grilled salmon chopped salad. The portion was generous, the ingredients fresh, and the flavor absolutely delicious. Paired with a Swamp Thing, which was equally amazing, it ended up being an airport meal to remember. It was so good that I actually forgot to take my usual food photos. Just trust me on this one! Most importantly, I didn’t get sick, which speaks volumes about their gluten-free handling and attention to detail. If this salad was that good, I can only imagine how delicious the full menu must be. For anyone with dietary restrictions, Pappadeaux in Terminal A is worth the stop!
Stopped at Pappadeaux at the Dallas airport while waiting on a layover. For an airport location, they had plenty of room to sit, and had a truly beautiful interior with great lighting. The food was absolutely delicious. Great portion sizes especially for an airport, and pretty good prices too. We ordered the shrimp and crawfish fondue which was very creamy and had a great combination of flavors that did not overpower each other. They aren't playin around!
I had the Salmon Alexander & a gin and juice and a moscato. Around $75 The drink was good, strong, decent. The moscato selection was sweet and tasty also. The Alexander was very tasty. A little too much salt and still had the bay leaves in it, but seasoned well. The fish, crawfish and shrimp were cooked well The staff was nice and helpful with making food choice. This was a very nice spot to be located in the airport

Decent variety of airport-priced food. Salads had minimal dressing, but the burger was great. We waited about 10 minutes after we sat down before we retrieved our own menus. I assumed that since this restaurant is behind security, the staff would be more proactive in case people needed to catch flights. The staff was friendly and once they found us. The atmosphere was nice and fairly relaxed.

I recently dined at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen off the Dallas Tollway in Plano, and I have to say, my experience was less than stellar. I ordered the seafood platter, expecting a delightful array of Cajun flavors and fresh seafood, but unfortunately, it fell short on multiple fronts. To start, the presentation was fine, but the temperature of the food was disappointing. The catfish was the only item on my plate that was served hot; everything else was cold, which really detracted from the overall experience. I had hoped for a warm, comforting meal that would showcase the restaurant’s reputation for flavorful seafood, but instead, I was met with lukewarm dishes that lacked the vibrant seasoning I anticipated. Speaking of seasoning, I found the food to be surprisingly bland. I was looking forward to that signature Cajun flair, but the flavors just didn’t come through. It felt like a missed opportunity to highlight the freshness and zest that is often associated with Southern seafood cuisine. As for the stuffed crab, it was a real letdown. Unfortunately, I found numerous shells mixed in with the stuffing, making it nearly inedible. I was really looking forward to enjoying this dish, but the presence of shells made it quite unpleasant. On a positive note, I must commend the server. They were friendly, attentive, and accommodating, which did help to salvage some of the experience. It’s always nice to be treated well, even when the food doesn’t quite live up to expectations. Overall, my visit to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen was disappointing. I left feeling underwhelmed by the food, and I expected much more given the restaurant's reputation. I hope to give them another chance in the future, but my first experience with their seafood platter was not what I had hoped for.
Way to go on supporting your employees against unruly customers. You'd rather fire the employee than deal with the actual issue. What a shame, you were a good diner, but your reputation now is crap! …
