The wait is crazy but people come here for a reason. It's a simple product and they do it well and with lots of flavor. Whether or not it's worth the wait is up to you. I think this place is best for when you really have the craving for their food because you know the quality will be consistent. The wait could be up to half an hour depending on when you go.
First time & even though I don’t like how the food is packed it was still really good. The reason I mention the way it was packed is because by the time I got home my fries were soft. Rest assured I still ate everything because like I said it was still really good.
Excellent customer service and the food is great I love their coleslaw and chicken tenders delicious.very clean restaurant.
The receipt machine was broken and i asked for the receipt, this poor lady took her time to talk to the manager and give me a receipt from the back. I ordered a lot and the food was given in less than 10 minutes. Food tasted delicious, service was off the charts and everyone is just so nice. Will definitely recommend to a friend and come back again.
Went here for the first time on Friday and my wife and I loved it! Best chicken tenders I've ever had. Their signature was different yet delicious. The Texas toast was good too. Customer service was good and friendly. We're definitely going back soon.
My little one and I like to eat here from time to time. The soft buttery garlic bread is his favorite. Update Sept. 2022...still get crowded because it's a small restaurant compared to the one in lakewood, but the service is pretty fast. I'm pretty sure it's because they have multiple people taking orders outside....great idea!
The food is amazing and well done. I really enjoyed the lemonade that is really good and sweet. The place is awfully full so the food took quite a while. Not to mention the dining area is well organized and it's quite different from the other restaurants I have been to. Overall, I give Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers a 5 star review.
I rarely give 5 stars but staff here are very respectful and calm. Place is always sort of packed but somehow they always always manage to send out your food QUICKLY. One of the fastest fast food places I’ve been to despite the amount of people.
The chicken fingers are served nice & hot! The size of each strip is a thick cut portion of breast meat, coated & fried. The flavor is tender & juicy on the inside with a light crispy crunch on the outside. Cane's sauce compliments well with the strips, since the sauce is creamy & full of flavor.((For those who don't consume much salt, I would not suggest the sauce since it may taste salty to your palate)) The Texas toast was good. A soft thick bread slice, buttered on both sides & toasted on the grill. The coleslaw in my opinion was perfect because the cut was small, it wasn't too sweet or drenched in dressing. The crinkle cut fries are just your basic frozen french fry. There were no additional flavors that would have made them stand out. They have fountain drinks, fresh brewed tea (unsweetened & sweetened w cane sugar) and fresh squeezed lemonade. I had the lemonade which was delicious, very refreshing. I also tried their sweetened tea & I actually enjoyed it! It was sweet but once the ice chips cool the tea it tastes better. Customer service was great! Shanell (cashier) was so nice & constantly going around the restaurant to make sure the customers were satisfied. This is my review & everyone is entitled to a different opinion. If you want to know what the rave is all about like I did, then go give them a try if you haven't yet! Oh & while you are there, make sure to ask the cashier for your CANIAC CLUB CARD to become a member & earn points with every purchase you make.
Open till 4am. Popular spot for young folks to congregate after their festivities.
The chicken is amazing. The prices are a little high so we go as a treat when I have the grandkids. We all love the chicken.
My daughter got the three finger extra can sauce combo and said it’s delicious. Shout out to monique for wiping the table and switching out the drink cup due to a leak. Excellent service. Good atmosphere. Good music. Clean. Plenty of condiments available.
Update....So I went back a 2nd time for wk and I had a totally different experience from the 1st time. I pre ordered for a 10:30pm pick up just like the 1st time. I got there at 10:45 and my food wasn't even cooked yet. So I had to rush to wk when it was done. So I asked about what everything was. Should have opend everything, but I was in a rush. Got to wk and NOOO SAUCE for the chicken, and I ordered 5 toast and only got 4.I had some very disappointed Kaiser Nurses on a very busy Friday night. Very disappointing visit. I may have to rethink ordering again. I did a small catering to go order for 10:30 pm pick up on a Saturday. Although they were very busy. When I got there, my food was ready and correct. We will definitely be ordering again for wk.
The chicken strips are moist and fresh. I ordered mine extra well done, ordered my garlic toast extra crispy which is meant to toast it on both sides and asked to get hot outthe grease fries since my strips took a little longer. But they were luke warm when they brought my order out. But over all, its a 2 thumbs up rating. Also ask fir the raising Cane card, it allows u to earn points and receive a free combo when signing up..Fresh chicken, garlic toast and high quality frozen fries.....
Food was fresh and tasty 11 and some change for 6 tenders coleslaw fries and Texas toast . My wife didn’t like it because they don’t have BBQ sauce . It’s like a house sauce that they only have I’m not sure what it is exactly but it has a good flavor . But if your going with picky eaters you might want to go somewhere else
This chicken is amazing. best one ever. I’ve never had such good chicken in my life. The person who put a screw in their food is a liar I love you canes and I always will. You guys are always so nice to me and they always get my order down perfectly. Xoxo The biggest canes fan.
So my boy asked me to bring him some of that chicken, which I’ve never had so I thought I’ll stop by and check it out when I come in full of teenagers young people youngsters I could probably see at least 60 youngsters and 10 of us adults that place was packed a lot of good vibes , nice environment it looks like it’s very popular for teenagers. I tried the chicken and the dip and sauce the bread and coleslaw. I gotta say it’s pretty good I’ve never had it. Now I know it’s a good place to eat.
This experience was a drive-through option. On this day about noon, during the week, the line was short and quick. The service was quick. The food is fantastic, a bit on the pricey side- but it's worth it. The Chicken tenders were hot and the taste was fresh, and coleslaw was fresh as well. The lemonade was fantastic. Most importantly, it's the chicken tender sauce the gives you the best taste experience. I highly recommend and would eat here again.
Not gonna lie. . . This was only my second time trying it. First time was maybe a month back. But I been craving it since. The fries remind of the the school fries they gave us for lunch lol. The chicken is really flavorful and TENDER as hell. Even down to the Ice they have available is great for your light ice options. It's not bulky. Reminds me of the little ice creams the ice cream man sells that were small green balls. Overall would definitely come back for another meal. Just wish there was one slightly closer to my house. But definitely worth the trip.
You want some really good chicken strips then come here! The food is amazing and you wont be disappointed thats for sure. Yes, it's a little pricey but the food is well worth it. The chicken strips burger is also amazing. This is a must try place. The only downside is you will find that is has a long line, but the food comes out pretty fast which cuts the wait time down. The staff is here are amazing and very helpful. Again, I highly recommend this place.
The only reason why 4 stars the cashier had a bad attitude other than that food was pretty good
It was very delicious, the chicken is air fried, very juicy not dry. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because their menu only has like chicken strips and chicken strips in a burger, with only one sauce, it's good don't get me wrong just wish they can expand on the menu. I recommend to all fried chicken lovers.
It was good, chicken was crispy and juicy. Their sauce was delicious. Their soda machine wasn't really working because all the sodas were pretty flat. It was incredibly busy too! The dining area was packed with people eating and waiting for their order along with the line being out the door and drive thru was the same. In my opinion, it was good but I like my chicken a bit spicier so not my fave but would eat there again.
The food is good, the restaurant is clean and even though it was busy, the service was fast. The only reason I have service 4 stars was because I can barely hear when my name was called. These young kids behind the counter barely raise their voice when the food is ready. The restaurant is loud so if you're sitting at a table, you may not know your food is ready and getting cold. This needs to be addressed.
It's good I like there chicken, but it is fast food so not something to eat daily. Kids and teens love it.
The food, service and their signature chicken strips are good. The 4 stars is for the wait at the drive through. I counted at least 20 cars ahead of me, but waited in line because where else can you get texas toast, chicken strips, and sweet tea at affordable prices? I'll come back, but maybe not for the 40 minute wait.
Food was great. Service was great. Having 200+ PowderPuff players and their friends all packed into standing room only, when the dining room only holds 84 not so much. Made it near impossible to get to the counter to order food. And took another 10 mins to try to just get out of the place with food. Bodies everywhere. I'm all for fun, but more seating outside, or go outside if you're just hanging out.
The drive thru line and inside lines are extremely long. The presentation of the food in the box is lackluster. The main reason why I didn't include a picture of the food was so that you can try the chicken. The chicken and cane sauce is the reason this review has 4 stars. The chicken is super tender and delicious.
Got a small meal at drive thru. Gave young lady a $20 bill. Left, and at my next stop, checked my change. The cashier gave me change for a 10, not a twenty! Had to go back thru construction traffic to get $10 owed me. Asked for Mgr. HE said he would have to count the drawers, and treated me like it was MY FAULT, and thru out was perturbed! After about 10 minutes I got my $10, with no sorry and a shifty(crappy) attitude! LOUSY customer service!
Food is always consistent. Only thing is they forgot my extra sauce. Besides that fast
Chicken fingers. Thats it bby might get 3 maybe 5 maybe on a bun with some sauce thats it! I got a fried feather in my chicken finger one time but hey no fast food joint is perfect. The drive through is fast the staff are friendly and it might lil wild in doors on a weekend night but hey thats Caines man! Enjoy.
My favorite cane's and it's always a good experience. My only super minor critique is that like one out of every five trips, the Texas toast would be soggy instead of crispy as it should be. I mean, it's fast food, but it sure tastes great and I think I have an addiction problem because I keep coming back at like 2 am. 😂
This meal was around 13 dollars which is expensive but is honestly worth it. The chicken yes can be seasoned more but the sauce and the toast literally save the day. Their drive through is always super long so just go inside, you’ll get your food in 10 minutes easy. The place is always clean and staff is nice.
It was my first time eating at Cane's. The staff was friendly enough, apologetic at forgetting my Texas toast the first trip, but just felt something lacking. The chicken tasted good (the outside of the chicken tenders was a bit soft, not crunchy - not sure if it supposed to come that way, I just assumed), the Texas toast was VERY delicious, do not like whatever it is they put as a dressing in their coleslaw, and the crinkle cut fries were soft. I will go back, sometime - and give it a second chance - maybe they were just having a bad day.
The food is hot and fresh. Chicken isn't dry and fries are pretty good. However, I ordered their sandwich combo, and they forgot the lettuce. As for the cleanliness, it was pretty dirty. Tables needed to be wipe down. The crew were very nice though, especially Shanell. Will I ever come back? Probably not, but it's okay for a first time.
Strips & Bread were Good. The Coleslaw was Nasty and Dry. It could use more mayo/sauce, a little sugar maybe a little vinegar and Black Pepper. Our fries were only warm . Not worth what we spent.
No complaints on the service as I was impressed on how fast I got my food especially for how busy this place always is. But for the first time, I ate the chicken fingers with no dipping sauce and in the end I realized I come here for the sauces and not the chicken. Nothing really special about the chicken and the breading. The sauce is what gives it all its flavor. So that's why I give it 3 stars.
Says open till 4. But that's just drive thru. Lobby isn't open.
Food was delicious but the tables were dirty couldn't even sit down and wait for my order. It wasn't busy and it didn't look like it was under staffed. Maybe next time will be cleaner.
I don't know if quality control doesn't visit often enough or what, but the sweet tea always tastes SUPER watered down, and it's happened twice where my Texas toast isn't toasted or even buttered. Service is good, but it feels as if every time I walk inside, it's dirty tables everywhere.
First timer here, honestly I don't taste what all the hype is about. Definitely glad I've never sat in their long lines for a mediocre chicken sandwich.
Food is good, price on menus is a little higher than average, but cleaning is weak; I had to ask for a rag to clean a table and seats by our self. looks like they need more personal. Parking is narrow and limited.
When they were first open, we got the chicken fingers and they were big. Today when we received our order, the chicken fingers were very small and mostly all breading, Definitely not worth what we were charged. I don't believe we will be back. It was too expensive for the size and quality presented on our last order.
I recently visited Kane's Chicken Fingers and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. While it's clear that they draw inspiration from a popular chain like Chick-fil-A, Kane's brings its own flair to the table. The chicken fingers were perfectly cooked, juicy on the inside with a crispy, flavorful coating. The signature sauce was a nice touch, adding a tangy and slightly spicy kick that complemented the chicken well. The sides were also impressive. The fries were golden and crispy, and the coleslaw was fresh and well-balanced. The portions were generous, making it a satisfying meal overall. However, it's worth noting that Kane's is a bit pricier than some of its competitors. While the quality is undeniable, the higher price point might be a consideration for some. Overall, Kane's Chicken Fingers offers a delicious and satisfying meal, albeit at a slightly higher cost. If you're willing to spend a bit more, it's definitely worth a visit.
I don't know what all the hype is about this place. The food is just okay. Nothing to really rave over and it's overpriced for the little that you get.
Went way early to avoid all the lines. They were ready to go and fresh chicken and fries were good. It’s about the sauce, and the sauce completes the chicken. The toast was the real surprise here and in my opinion the best part. I get the hype and long lines raise curiosity. It’s pretty good, but not half hour line or drive through good. Recommend going off peak hours its just as good.
So the food is good, that is certain. The box combo was a fair amount of food and wasn't too badly priced (though not the cheapest either...) They don't give you enough sauce, and they skimped on the fries. Service was okay, not really friendly and didn't move through the long line that fast. Never had anyone cleaning up the limited seating. So good food, but service was a little lacking in all aspects.
Very upset costumer after today. I love coming to canes but honestly I'm really upset with how everything is managed here.. Parking area is a danger hazard with very little space to move around since the line is so uncontrollable. Inside the restaurant is a mess with no control of who's in an out. Keep in mind we are still in a pandemic. Today I order on line to pick up and avoid the wait, and line. My order was never placed and your servers have no idea of whats going on. I had to wait a additional 45min after I had order 35min in advance. On top of all of this I asked for and extra sauce and was told I would have to pay for it. I don't care for paying but really after the inconvenience. After getting my side sauce it came in a box and it was tossed to me like if the girl had a problem with that. costumer service is outrageously horrible. After today I will be contacting corporate.
Had Canes tonight. Was very disappointed. Ordered the Chicken Sandwich Combo, the chicken is not crispy and had no taste. Noticed it had no lettuce so I went to ask about the lettuce, they said, “sorry we’re out of lettuce “. For the price, go somewhere else.
We were in the vehicle line for about 30-45 minutes. The customer service representative that greet you at your car was very friendly and helpful with the suggestion because it was our first time. As far as the food..... The chicken was very bland, it had absolutely no seasoning at all. The fries were good. The sauce was very good. The bread was good. I am not a coleslaw person so my opinion doesn't matter. Lastly, it was about 100 degrees today so we asked for ice water in addition to our lemonade. When we parked under the tree and reached for our lemonades and waters non of them had ice in the cups. Someone should be suspended for such a crime. Nooooo I will not be back.
I usually never give a bad review, I tried to be fair and unbias. It is a nice place, plenty of food, clean, staff is nice and friendly. The Texas toast is amazing, tastes great, and it's so fluffy. The fries and the chicken, tasted great. The chicken was not crispy, mine was limp but well cook. The sauce that comes with the meal was very salty. I was very surprised, so I dipped lightly from there on. Now the problem, there is an after taste that lingers on your mouth and fingers for awhile, and it's an oily flavor, I had to get a couple of mints afterwards.
Good chicken when it's hot but other than that, the taste is okay, nothing special. Lots of parking. Lots of people but quick turnover. Long line even in drive-thru. Yummy special Cane sauce but it doesn't come with the chicken? You have to pay extra for each sauce cup you get. It's the only thing making the chicken delicious.. Freezer fries. Not coming back.
For a long time, I had wanted to try the very "famous" raising canes chicken fingers. and honestly I was expecting a different taste than other fried chicken restaurants. but well far away a special flavor or something different. the chicken fingers without flavor... the fries are cold the only thing but just as flavorful as any coleslaw... the Texas toast tastes good and the famous canes sauces mmm... nothing to impress, it was my first and last time. Buying this food again I expected something more special. and I don't know what makes it so special, for my part I give it a 5 from 1 to 10
I will never ever return to the Downey Raising Canes store. Worst chicken sandwich ever. A squirt of dressing on the bun and the lettuce was almost black. The fries were almost non existent. A few fries thrown in the box. One catsup packet for two meals. The caniac combo was just as bad. The chicken was moist, not crunchy. And the wait was unacceptable. Too bad! It looks like Raising Canes in Downey is not doing very well from all the reviews I have read.
Usually the food is good. I ordered take out, and when I went to pick up my order. It was stolen!!! Workers didn't even noticed. They set up the online orders by the second exit door so far from the front cashiers. So they didn't even know what's going on. Which is bad, I mobile order for a reason, I had to wait for a remake. They can definitely improve on that.
We get dinner every Monday from here, last 3 times including today their service is horrible they are always forgetting to put all the items, last time they didn't give coleslaw I am the last person to complain so I said whatever and did not give sauces, each trip is $60-70 dollars, today i told them you guys did not give coleslaw or sauces last time, so make sure you put them in today, the worker goes okay we still have to charge, I am not worried about a dollar but that was unnecessary, and I get home they again did not put sauces, it's roddiculas I did not want to leave this comment because I love their food but their service sucks.
Been craving Cane's chicken, big disappointment. I'm not sure who's the genius that came up with the box and portion sizes? He should be fired. Box 1, and kids meal is the same thing. Only difference is the drink size, and baby bread they give you. Plus the food quality got worse. This is going to back fired, next time I'll make a video post to show the bs meal they are selling now. Used to be a big fan, when they first started food quality was good and portion sizes.
Update after their response here: Nope, the business does not get to claim it cares or even tried by demanding I expend more time explaining what happened to when I already made it abundantly clear in my review. I even provided photographic evidence. If I have to do anything further, it'll be a report to the Health Department. Original review 12/3: Why bother having a sign in the men's room telling employees they must wash their hands if you don't even have a working soap dispenser? If they're doing this where everyone can see, what are they doing in the back where customers can't see? Gross.
Worst quality chicken of all the Cane’s in the area. Given them a few chances to see if it was just the “one time” but sadly not the case. Quality continues to disappoint.
I do not understand the hype of this place .... First time being here and will not be returning chicken is too big on the sandwich and just falls apart it's so upsetting. Fries are bland I get why Caucasians like it (no flavor) but I Felt like a kid that's frustrated eating my food that way, the picture speaks more than a thousand words. Just horrible experience and will not spend again to repeat this tragedy. I'm a big foodie so this was upsetting as a first timer.
Worst Canes Ever! Food was undercooked and no seasoning head ah. Young staff very rude and kept staring all of them were laughing the guy/girl/they was also rude with my order and shouted my name rudely selfish atmosphere service was the worst staff full of edgars
