I hate to write this but it’s my honest opinion Great Food Halal Pakistani Cuisine the serving is very small but that’s ok for the price . Very dirty toilet no one checks it and webs are on the walls seats are torn and dirty not clean short staff they serve Food just with one person and they have to have cleaning staff at least one person .
I go there for takeout mostly every week. When family is visiting, go there to dine almost everyday. The food is delectable and never fails to impress. I don't believe it could get any better than this and that's the reason I don't try other places when it comes to carnivore cuisine. A must try especially if you live in the trivalley.
I consider this restaurant as the god of kebab and meat. It's hard to compete with this place for best kebab and chicken masala. Simply it's the best ever.
Best restaurant and food ever. Me and my family always come here and always had a wonderful experience. The food is like no other, and the staff is helpful and kind. I’m so happy there’s a shalimar in this area. Their food is authentic and tastes like it came straight from Pakistan. 10/10.
it is a fast food type where you order and they bring it to your table. food is excellent, quite a big variety and fast service
The tandoori chicken here is absolutely awesome! Bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked, it truly stands out. Just like other Shalimar locations, this one maintains its reputation for serving some of the best Pakistani food around. The spices and authentic taste are unmatched, making every bite a delightful experience. Whether it’s the tenderness of the chicken or the perfectly balanced seasoning, it’s clear that quality and flavor are top priorities here. This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious and authentic Pakistani cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back for more of their amazing dishes. Highly recommended!
The kababs here are a must-try. I usually go for chicken, but I decided to try the lamb chops, and they were fantastic. The portions are generous, unlike other places. My favorites have always been the Chicken Kabab and Tandoori Leg, and now the Lamb Chops have joined that list too.
A bit busy location still quite fast service, really good food again.

7+ years of going at Shalimar Dublin. We eat same food every other weekend. Nihari, chicken biryani, tangdi (roasted chicken leg), chicken and beef seekh kabab. The Naans are the specialty as they are the softest out of the three Shalimar (other locations being at Fremont and San Francisco). Wonderful food. No complaints.
This was the second time that I've eaten at Shalimar. Excellent Pakistani food. The freshly made bread are the best I've ever tasted. I enjoyed the chicken and beef dishes that I had for lunch so much that I bought another meal home for my family.

7E2A04: Hole in the wall restaurant but food is great and feels authentic Pakistani. You order and pay first at the register. Get your condiments and utensils and find a table. Someone, then bring your food to your table. It is hard to know who is working the floor or who is just hanging around. Everytime, I go to Pleasanton, I try to go there at-least once. Great tasting food (if you like authentic Pakistini or Indian meat dishes) at great prices.
Ginger chicken with roti is always out to go order.. they add extra oil to make it more appetizing.. otherwise, roti’s and ginger chicken curry taste’s delicious. We love their side of onions.
Great quality food! Tasty and authentic! Only minus is atmosphere and bathrooms are not clean at Dublin center. One of best restaurant in bay area
For food review you can read my review for the Fremont branch. I had no idea that Shalimar has a new branch here in Dublin but I'm always glad when my favorite restaurants are doing well. They closed down a couple of branches so I'm glad they opened one here even though it's kinda far for me. It's a standalone building with its own parking spots and instead of giving you a stand with a number all the seating areas are labeled with numbers. The restaurant is not small but probably best suited for party less than 6. The chicken is still phenomenal and everything tastes the same as the one in Fremont which basically means wonderfully delicious. Just order the chicken legs if this is your first time. Otherwise you'll know what to order.
9/20/25 Saturday lamb brain masala was delicious. Will come back again n try more menu items in next visit.
This is a good spot for South Asian food in the area. The portions are very generous and the taste is 7/10 (prefer Pakwan or Zareens). I would recommend either the beef nehari or the chicken karahi with some naan (I'd give the naan 8/10). They also offer free chai which is great. Do not come here if you're looking for a great atmosphere or service. It's largely a hole in the wall, self-service type of restaurant. On a positive note, the wait is non-existent to be seated and food comes out fast.
For my friend who needs to get some non veg tandoori briyani we went to Shalimar restaurant which is excellent for non-veg lovers, naan and chicken 🍗🐔🍗 fry. Romali naan roti 🍛 curry briyani both meat 🍗🐔 and 🐐🐐 unlimited tea is here avaliable for customer. Soft drinks rose milk lassi 😍😋 lassi with different flavours. I recommend it
Place is decent. Not a large variety of food options especially if you traveling from far to come there. Would recommend other restaurants with better variety and good taste of food. There prices are ok given the place. However, they can do better than this given the customer loyalty and rush all the time at the restaurant.
This is the place to go for if you want to have tasty Indian food , specially non-veg. Decent seating. Table service can be improved. This all is overcome by fact that they serve real great taste food. I love their rotis. Their Murgh Tikka Lahori is highly recommend.

They serve halal food chicken leg was tasty, chicken sheesh kabob needs improvement, mango lassi was good. Samosa was not good at all.
The food was decent it wasn’t that flavorful and it was lacking in seasoning. Their buffet cleanliness of the restaurant needs some improvement the tables were not that clean and were sticky and the chairs are couches were worn out. The tea was fairly good in the beginning but when they replaced it the quality of the chairs was different and it didn’t taste as sweet and tasted watered down. We ordered the qeema and the korma meatballs which were ok but not that flavorful as I was hoping for.
One of the best kebab and tandoori I've had in a very long time. We also ordered some gravy that weren't very tasty compared to their tandoori appetizers. Even portion size of their entrees are very small compare to their price. I was very surprised by their size of naan and kulcha. They were extremely large portions for about $2. I would prefer to get take away next time than dining.

I was very disappointed with my visit. The restaurant had poor hygiene — tables and chairs were dirty and didn’t feel clean enough to sit on comfortably. For a restaurant, cleanliness should be a top priority, but it clearly wasn’t here. The food was below average and didn’t meet expectations. The Chicken Tikka Masala tasted more like Chicken Qorma, and the Biryani lacked the authentic flavor and aroma you’d expect. The Brain Masala was just average at best. Considering the high prices, the experience was not worth the cost. When you’re paying that much, you expect at least decent hygiene and authentic-tasting dishes. Unfortunately, this restaurant failed on both fronts

Food is good but terrible and extremely slow customer service
Came here for lunch on weekday. Ordered 2 chicken tikka masala portions. The portions were ridiculously small, only 4 very very small chicken pieces for $15.99 a portion. Of course Naans always are extra.....simply rip off. The ambiance and cleaniess was mediocre, but that was expected from a hole in the wall and location.
Did not like a food - tikka was so raw like they clean it with water . Kabab has no taste and naan was not close to Tandoori Rooti. On the top the attitude was not at good - no happy welcoming smile. They need to invest and make place nice so people can enjoy seating . No salad just onion and those are also very strong .

I visited a restaurant for the first time, and it was a disappointing experience. The place was very dirty, and I wasn’t expecting it to be an Indian restaurant. After eating, I got sick the next morning—my stomach hurt, and I had to rush to the bathroom four times. It became clear that the food was unclean, and I believe the leftovers weren’t fresh. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, as it’s one of the dirtiest restaurants in Dublin.
There’s no air conditioner, and the whole place smells terrible. When you touch the walls, they feel sticky with grease. How are people supposed to eat here? Everywhere I looked was full of dirt. Please clean your restaurant first before serving food. Look at this water jug — how can anyone drink from it? It’s full of bacteria and looks like it hasn’t been washed in a year. I would never recommend this dirty place to anyone. The owner only seems to care about counting money, not keeping the restaurant clean. This place is absolutely disgusting.🤮
I recently visited Shalimar Dublin, and unfortunately, the service is worst. The cashier seemed completely uninterested in helping customers, acting as if providing service was a burden rather than his job. Instead of a welcoming attitude, I was met with impatience and frustration, as if I was inconveniencing them by simply placing an order. A restaurant’s food can be great, but if the customer service is poor, it ruins the entire experience. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism and respect for paying customers. I hope management takes action to improve their staff’s attitude
Ordered chicken haleem, tandoori chicken and chicken kabab. Expecting to have same taste but it was a worst order. Never again going to this place. Chicken haleem is a joke it's just lentil soup no flavor no taste. Tandoori chicken was smelling. Kabab had no flavor. Had to trash everything. very disappointed.
Hello everyone I been here on nov 29 with my family and order 2 chicken breast one chicken beryani one chicken ginger overall they give me 2 chicken breast first and then after 30 min they serve the rest of the food those 2 chicken breast was someone else and they give it to me and the tables are so dirty and the walls also I took a video will email it to business administration of Dublin but no one cares about it and this people are stealing money from everyone $1 to $2
This is place is Pakistani food but didn’t realize they have Pakistan standards and cleanness. It’s like actually going to a 3rd world restaurant from food and service.
Ordered via Door Dash end of last month, received delivery, opened delivery, found dead fly, immediately closed package and threw it in trash due to safety issues. Was unable to reach Door Dash customer service at that time. Called the restaurant and explained to staff what had transpired, but he immediately attacked me verbally on phone being defensive, indignant, belligerent, rude and unhelpful. Food safety should be a top priority as should customer service; no excuses. Eating fly blown food can lead to food poisoning and possible allergic reactions. Photo sent to Door Dash.
The food we ordered had a strong gas-like smell and taste, completely inedible and honestly alarming. When we brought our concerns to the owner, instead of taking it seriously, he was extremely rude and dismissive. No apology, no accountability, just attitude. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that actually cares about the safety and satisfaction of their customers.
They do not enforce hair nets for employees that work in the kitchen, food is decent, found like 4 pieces of hair and before anyone tries to say its masala I know what hair looks like.
Man once again another Indian place, this time on a hot day there air conditioner is not working, so many people can’t even eat food in peace. People here are sweating and having a hard time eating food right now. I asked for ice, they said we don’t have no ice. How are this Indian restaurant working and serving people. Also this place tables, floor, has a dirty look. I think this is going to be my last time here. Don’t recommend people coming here. If the place was good I would have referred it but this one is a no no!

I had a very bad experience at Shalimar Restaurant in Dublin. The place was extremely dirty, especially the bathrooms and the dining areas where people sit and eat. Cleanliness is very important in a restaurant, and this was unacceptable. The owner was also very unprofessional. I really hope the health department inspects this place because it did not feel safe or sanitary at all. I will not be coming back.
They charged me for an item and did not provide it. When I called to clarify, I was met with a very disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. Simply asking whether I could dine in instead of getting the order to go resulted in being yelled at, which is completely unacceptable.Customer service and respect are essential in any business, and unfortunately, both were completely lacking here. Cleanliness was extremely disappointing, and the level of hospitality was nonexistent. It is concerning to see such poor standards in a place that serves the public. To the owner: please understand that a business cannot survive without its customers. Respect and basic courtesy should be the bare minimum. Customers should feel welcomed and valued not disrespected.I strongly advise others to avoid this place and go somewhere else where you will be treated with respect and actually feel welcome. Women in particular are not treated respectfully, which is deeply concerning.Due to this experience, I will be reporting this matter to the health department, as both the service and cleanliness raise serious concerns.
