Melting Pot - Duluth

I loved every bit of this experience! The food was delicious & the desserts were so so good! Our server did an amazing job. I highly recommend to at-least try it. You won’t be disappointed.

We had a memorable special dinner for educators. It’s nice to see that this particular Melting Pot has stood the test of time and change in Duluth, but they still provide a unique dinner experience. Everything was fresh and plentiful. The service was attentive, helpful, and friendly. After three hours we left very full and happy. Thank you for a nice evening.

I had the most wonderful time at the Melting Pot in Duluth. It was a last minute deduction to come in and I’m so glad I did. The drinks and food were amazing but what really made this experience next level was the incredible service provided by Nancy. I told her if I ever come back it will be on a reservation requesting her specifically. Her attentiveness and kindness stood out. I come from a service background and she is an absolute gem. Will definitely be back!!

Always a calm, nice atmosphere for winding down with family. Food comes out at a perfect pace, and the servers are always friendly and wonderful at accommodating restrictions and answering questions. We go as a vegetarian group and the options are great. Nancy is fantastic, and remembered us from previous visits. She is always on top of our orders and substitution requests, and is very welcoming and incredibly helpful!

The food was fantastic, as usual. Nacny is a wonderful server. She is friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and never overbearing so you can enjoy your meal. We'll defy be back!

As always, the experience is so enjoyable. Nancy makes every meal so exceptional for our family. We can’t imagine any place with a better ambiance. Nadi is also a wonderful server and helps take care of our family - so very lovely!

First time here on a date with my wife, it was a quiet setting and we took our time filling up on so much delicious food! Highly recommended for an intimate or group setting. Just bring your extra stomachs! Thank you to Nancy for excellent and friendly service!

The food was great, and was cool that we cooled the food ourselves. The server, Nancy, was amazing, and the atmosphere was great. It was our first anniversary and they allowed us to set the table up with rose petals, plus Nancy gave us an extra plate with the chocolate fondue with some extra stuff on it and it was great!

Today was our Anniversary as well as our 2nd visit here. April was our server. She provided great customer service, the food, atmosphere and drinks were delicious. Also thanks to Brandon for decorating our table. We will definitely be back again a third time❤️

Such a warm and inviting experience. We had Natty as our server. Food was great quality & absolutely scrumptious! The staff here are super attentive and some of the friendliest I’ve met. This place is perfect for anniversaries or special occasions as well. If you’re ever in the Duluth area this is definitely a hidden gem i’d recommend any day!

This was my second time coming here and honestly I’m so happy we did come. It was worth the drive the service was amazing like beyond amazing thank you Nancy for the amazing service. Not to mention the food was so good especially the chocolate! Definitely would recommend 10/10 experience.

Great experience at The Melting Pot tonight! Nancy made sure there was no stone unturned regarding the menu and provided excellent service! Even Paul the manager came and checked in on us to make sure everything was fantastic! They even made a small event in just a date night with my spouse feel like an anniversary. A great experience as always!

My husband and I went here for our Anniversary. We loved it! Food was great and the service was superb. It was our first time there and they did a great job explaining how everything worked with us. They made sure to point out it was our Anniversary several times so that was nice. Oh and the salad was SOOOO good.

First time dinning here & definitely will NOT be the last time. As soon as my partner and I stepped through the door, we felt so welcome by the manager at the hostess stand. We were sat very quickly & served right away. The staff was some of the nicest people I’ve ever been served by at a restaurant. The food was impeccable!! Give yourself 2hours minimum to really enjoy the experience and food if you visit. 11/10 overall (food, staff, customer service, experience)!!

We came to share a celebration of graduation of nursing school. We come here all the time to celebrate and this time did not disappoint. Nancy was very attentive and friendly. We will be back. Thank you for letting us share this celebration.

“Kam with a K” gave us the best experience today! Great conversation & put on a little show for us while making our fondue, then he brought out a special birthday dessert! We drove over an hour to dine here for my birthday & we’d do it again! Thanks bunches Kam!! We had the Wisconsin cheddar cheese fondue (try the apples, I know it’s weird but it’s so yummy). The entrees were fabulous with the mojo boil & nice size portion, followed by s’mores fondue! 🍫

Visited this restaurant back in August with a friend. We went to dinner here and really had a good time. Very good experience for someone looking for a new spin on dinner. Staff was friendly mask were worn by all. Food in establishment were also perfect. Definitely worth the experience. Not really for anyone who is just looking to eat and not have to do anything.

I had the best Birthday dinner tonight at The Melting Pot in Duluth. Nancy was AMAZING and made it a wonderful and memorable event.

I've visited other Melting Pot locations over the years, but this was hands down the best! Nancy was so patient and accommodating - especially with the 6 year old in our party. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience.The food was fantastic, but it was the staff that really took things to the next level. The 6 year old loved it so much that he wants to work here!

Great experience from start to end. We usually come without the kids but we decided to bring them this time and they had a reasonably priced kids menu with cute mocktails that they loved. Our server Nancy was a delight.

The Melting Pot is a wonderful place to eat! My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here and everyone there made it a really special time. Delicious food. If you like chocolate fondue... the Melting Pot is the place to go!

Wow! What a great experience! I’ve been coming to this location since the late 90’s for special occasions and we ended up here for a last minute, small celebration. The host/manager was able to seat us immediately even without a reservation and our server Brittany went above and beyond to make our night awesome! Food was delicious and everything well timed. Drinks were superb. We will definitely be back soon!

we just had a belated valentines dinner here and it was amazing all the way around. our waitress and the general manager were so sweet and welcoming. the food was delicious, as it always is, and they found a way to make our dinner feel so special. definitely recommend this location. thank you guys again!

Shannon, the manager, invited us to try this location and I'm thrilled we did. I recall having been to one other fondue place in my teens or early 20s. I really expected the environment and presentation to be dated. It wasn't. There was a kind of retro vibe to the place, but it was so well done and so beautifully executed. The food was phenomenal and there were so many options. We loved that our meal included so many different things! Really, folks, consider cooking some of your entree and taking it home. Because dessert is absolutely fantastic!

Our girl Nancy was amazing!! She even recognized us by all the reservations we had and never showed lol. Everything was great from the food to these beautiful ladies service . Recommend 100%

Just popped over for dinner. My boyfriend is away for work half of the time, so it was so nice to come out and enjoy a delicious dinner together. I have never had a bad experience with the Melting Pot, even when I have come to this location and eaten alone, but tonight was wonderful. Shannon is a delightfully hospital manager. I never saw her without a smile and she continued to make sure we were enjoying our experience. This has been my favorite experience. I will continue to highly recommend.

Nice experience to have, but it’s not our taste. The cheese pot was nice and creamy, but the flavor of the meat pot was quite unexpected. It’s too sour for me, the quality of the meat was really good though. We ordered dark chocolate for the dessert pot, too sweet.

Food was okay, I had better elsewhere for the same price. The Coq Au Vin Fondue was very disappointing! Meat serving was very stingy and atmosphere is nothing impressive. Dessert is the only food I enjoyed here.

What a lovely experience. Our server was kind and knowledgeable. Food was very good. The cocktails were very tasty. Very pricey not gonna lie but you go for the experience and it will as a good one for this first timer. My only complaint, and realistically it's a pretty big one was the dining room was filthy and I mean filthy. There were used straws in front of our table and smashed cookies and other food items all over the floor at the table next to us. With our meals and drinks for a table of 4, spending around $450 including an almost $100 tip, I expect the dining area to be better kept up. I understand there were parents that couldn't control their children and let them do what they wanted but that's no excuse to not pick up used straws next to our table before we were seated. Parents need to do better and staff should charge an extra cleaning fee in such cases. Other than that, thank you for a lovely evening.

We went for happy hour for the half price cheese or chocolate fondue BUT you had to sit at the bar which is 4 feet from the door! With the hostess and bartender basically in your face the entire time! The Wisconsin cheese fondue served with bread very good, veggies meh for $14, the Ying yang chocolate also $14 served with cake bites, rice crispy treats, banana and strawberries was so good.

To overpriced for what you get. The server barely came by our table. I had a party of 8 and we were separated in two tables. The experience was not as how I was expecting it to be.

How the Melting Pot has gone down hill in the last 15 years. Was so looking forward to our dinner and we were SOOOO disappointed. Service was horrible, non-existent. Had to flag her down to get water refills. Our bread for the cheese dip was hard, not fresh. Very little vegetables. I could keep going on how horrible it was because it was not the Melting Pot I frequented yearly to take my kids. It was our go to restaurant as they were growing up. So sad. Now it's just overpriced and smaller portions. Maybe it's just this location in Duluth. Mediocre. Will not be returning to this location.

I'd been wanting to try this place for years and my husband finally took me for a surprise dinner to celebrate my new role. We were BOTH surprised to find that the food was severely lacking, as was the service. The server was nice but laughed at us when we didn't know what to do. Who I presume to be the owner walked past our table to chat with the other tables, checking on them and asking how they were doing, but never looked at us or said a word while passing us by. I hate bringing up the race card, but she and the other tables she greeted were White, while we were not. She did tell us bye when we left, but it was way too late at that point. The food was seriously not good. Small portions and overpriced. The dessert was fine. If you are expecting anything but boiled meat, you're in the wrong place. The cheese fondue was minimal, only for the bread course, and was barely enough for us to dip all the bread in before we ran out. No refills for free. Then, we got the soup and just boiled all the meat in the soup. You should just get hotpot instead of coming here - there are more options, more servings, and better quality ingredients. I was so so excited and it was totally shattered. The inside is also dim and outdated. I wouldn't come back for free. So sad about it because I was really looking forward to it. EDIT: The "general manager" is quite aggressive in her response. I have several 5 star reviews in my Local Guide profile reserved for establishments who deserve it. A manager who lashes out in this way is severely unprofessional and should be ashamed of how they treat their customers. We had no major issues with our Asian server as stated in my original review. She was okay. Obviously our server was not the issue and not the racist one. I only stated the manager is the problem, and if you pulled a tape from the night we were there you would see her ignore us and greet the tables past us that were indeed White people. Truly sad and embarrassing how this establishment responded.

Our first time there they put us with a waitress that really made everything difficult she barely spoke English and was very unaccomdating. The silverware once unrolled had old food and fingerprints on it. The waitress brought it back not rolled and put it on the middle of our table. They forgot the wine flight as we had to ask for it between every course. They were completely un prepared. They did switch out waitress and the rescue server was very good and attentive. The table trained a mess most of the time. I would not recommend this location at all.

Ok this review is really old so it could be awesome now so take this however you would like. We came to this location to celebrate our 15 year anniversary a year ago and had the worst experience we’ve probably ever had. I feel kinda silly writing this review cause I’m sure the server isn’t there anymore and the way the manager was less than helpful makes me feel like he’s probably not there either. The experience seriously just haunts me and every time anyone says they had/have a good experience here I just get re annoyed. 15 years of a long time to be married. We picked melting pot hoping it would be special. We told them what we were there for when we made the reservation and other than the hostess mentioning it off hand at the beginning nothing special happened and it wasn’t brought up again. Our food was not great quality. There was dust and bugs on the windowsill. Our server literally told us when we mentioned we hadn’t been in a while because of our kids and didn’t know how they would do the server said they don’t like having kids and when they get a table with them they dread it. Soooo cool. Check. Won’t bring the kids. It just sucked. She also came up to the table to greet us said oops I’m still wearing my crocks brb 🤦🏻‍♀️ like we wild have noticed if she had them on or if she just changed them after greeting us. I did message corporate cause I didn’t wanna be this guy but it’s seriously still annoying. They passed my number to the manager and he called us later to invite us back but how could we feel good about coming back when we always have our kids with us and we know they wouldn’t be welcomed. I didn’t/ don’t feel comfortable with that and the manager was gross and didn’t seem like he cared about his job or took any pride in making sure it was an experience. It was sad that it was seriously a special occasion and it was so thoroughly ruined.
