First time eating here and I must say everything was delicious. We went on a Wednesday evening and our wait was about 15 20 minutes. Best mozzarella sticks I've had. Everything tasted great and our waitress was super attentive and helpful. They have nice happy hour specials. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of their food options.
Absolutely loved the food and ambiance. Only thing I'd say went wrong was they only had two servers that might and it was a decent amount of customers so drinks took a good amount of time to get started with
I got the burger deal for $10 which is like fast food prices these days, and it was really good. Super fresh bun, very tasty. My mom got the steak for $15 and again, really good for the prices.
Update...i love the food. Each dish is and has been delicious. And on top the service is amazing. Food is delicious. I can't wait to try another dish. Service is fantastic and the drinks are worth it as well. Hit happy hour .
I don't know why this place isn't busier, it's by far the best place in the area. The food is good, you can also order Mediterranean food from the spot nextdoor. They have a fantastic selection of drinks. They have great deals like $10 for a burger and draft beer. I have never had anything other than great service. I stopped coming when they tried to do an upscale menu but since they switched back to more of a sports bar I think it's better than ever.
Went for happy hour Friday and then again for a late lunch on Saturday. The food was great both days and the cocktails were on point. I tried a few but my favorite is the Bloody Mary. Our bartender on Saturday was Rebecca - she was personable and attentive. We had a great time and will be back again. The NY steak special was so good!
First time here and I have to say, we are impressed! food is great but the service was better. We got lucky and had the best server. She had great attitude, attentive, cheerful and most importantly great with our kids. Great to find somewhere local to go with the family. We went in today Sunday evening and unfortunately I didn’t grab to receipt so I can mention her but even after great service while dinning one of my kids forgot his retainers and she ran outside to make sure we didn’t leave without them. She went way and beyond to make sure we see her. Thank you.
Nice place to hang out with friends. Food has always been good. Wine Wednesday is always a good option, but their beer and cocktail selection is great too. Update to previous review 10/9/23: Lately the food has been hit or miss, we didn't receive items that accompanied our meals. A simple grilled cheese was undercooked. The worst part, the restrooms were atrocious. We were one of the first customers in, so for them to have urine splattered all over both toilets tells me that cleaning isn't a priority. Our waitress was very kind and made sure to have our food issues managed with the kitchen. We chose to speak with the manager regarding the restrooms, but didn't receive the response one would expect. She did thank us for letting her know, but did not receive an apology for not being able to use their facilities due to the un-cleanliness.
Pros: Very clean and isn't freezing or stuffy. The tables are at a good height and the Taco Tues deals are very good. The waiters are friendly and the chocolate brownie was very rich and satisfying. Cons: They allow smoking in their outdoor seating which is directly near entrances/exits. The macaroni and cheese didn't taste like cheese. It has a strange flavor that I wasn't expecting. Overall: I love this place and have been here on 3 different occasions. I recommend it for sure.
Love this place! I've been coming here since they opened. The third remodel looks great! Jo-Ann has done a great job with the place. Papa Joe must be proud! It now has a great modern look. They expanded the taps and have a huge selection of beers. The wine is still a great option, and everyone loves the mixed drinks, particularly the cucumber basil. The steaks are excellent. They are famous for their loaded tots, Greek tots, and Buffalo chicken tots. The tots are hot. Skip the fries, go for tots! I promise you won't be disappointed.
Very tasty! Went to watch the fights and enjoy time with friends, service was fast even tho they were busy. Great beer selection, enjoyed the potato skins too 😋 Handicap accessible with outdoor seating.
So good! This place has great food! The cheese on the mac and cheese is great, you're going to wish you had ordered more. During safe distancing, they're open for takeaway. They're on grunhub, happy ordering
Amazing service everytime,, the food is delicious with my favorite being the fettuccine to the calamari. Craft beer selection on point. Bre also never let's my cup run dry or my belly on empty.
Nice outdoor patio area with good shade. Happy hour m-f 11-7. Yummy food and drink specials. Tuesday has margaritas on special for $6 and the ghost marg is delicious if you like spicy! The pretzel and ceasar salad on HH are HUGE!
I really love this place 😍 lots of seating but be prepared it should be allowed inside. They have great specials every Monday through Friday for food and drink. And they're $10 steak anytime is yummy and affordable. It's a small parking lot shared by many other businesses but I've always been able to find parking. I went on a Thursday night and tried their well priced and good tasting Buffalo slider 👍 and enjoyed one of their end-of-the-keg craft beers at $4 a pint. I highly recommend!!
The food here is absolutely delicious! Their chicken wings are probably the best thing there! Their steak is also very good! Overall, I really enjoy coming here with my family and eating their tasty food! Edit: I came here with my family and cousins on 5/2/21 and we had a pretty good experience! My sister and I got fettuccine Alfredo and it was delicious! I couldn’t even finish mine!
Look for the deals posted on the wall as you enter. Philly Cheesesteak, Steak and Prime Rib are either daily or weekly specials along with the Taco Tuesday special make this a great spot to dine for lunch. Fast, efficient service, clean dining area and restrooms and good food. The soup of the day is very good, and the clam chowder is excellent. I recommend the Pressbox for lunch or dinner.
I like the atmosphere and the set up of this bar. Went here for a UFC fight a few weeks ago. Had a great time and actually got to see a pro UFC fighter that was in attendance that night.
My family and I are on vacation in the San Diego area and my daughter reccomend this place from tiktok. It didn't disappoint one bit, great service by all the staff! Happy hour specials are great! Me and family of 4 ate and had water and lemonade for $48. I left a $20 tip. The portions are generous as we ate like kings, we ordered the trash can nachos , the baked pretzel, and 12 wings which we happen to be there on a Wednesday which was 75 cent each wing. Those wings were bombski! We had the sweet heat flavor. Ceasar salad freshly made. It was a 45 minute drive from my hotel as it was traffic hour but it was all worth it.👍
Delicious food, kind hosts, it's perfect for watching any game. The bartender (Danny) made impeccable cocktails, and had excellent advice on pairings. Highly recommend the brie plate with a Pinot noir!
Great atmosphere and the chef is a scratch cook, excellent selection of food and cooked perfectly. Huge selection of craft beers. Must visit place in Rancho San Diego!
Great place to unwind after a busy day. Delicious food and great beer. Customer service excellent

My husband and I have gone twice now at two different times of the day and we ironically we had the same server. Tyrell. So nice. So professional and always making sure we were ok. Drinks were PERFECT. Appetizers were ok.
Very friendly staff. Large menu to anyone's satisfaction. Large alcohol selection. Lots of TVs for game days! I would definitely recommend and would go back.
Service was top notch! I reserved the private room for a birthday dinner. Wings, sliders, shawarma wraps and calamari were all on point! Cooked in beef tallow also!

I come here a lot for HH with friends and always have a pretty good time. Lots of TVs with the games on. Servers and bartenders are pretty nice and usually are quick, though sometimes it takes a while for them to greet you or check on you. Food had always come out quick and I haven't had anything awful here yet. I will say, I die for their trash can nachos. They are my jam! Drink wise, they have a plethora of options. It's not a bad place to bring your entire family if you're in the mood for sports and some yummy food. It's definitely a sports bar, but a classy one.
Had to edit my 5-year old five star review. I know it was a Monday at 3pm, but ONE server??? Dude was covering the bar and six tables with 25 total people. He had a great attitude, stayed positive and did the best he could, but that's just too much for one person. Food isn't as good as it was five years ago. What happened to the trash can nachos?!? They were amazing! The current version of nachos y'all have are NOT great. Some crumbled greasy beefy stuff, squirts of white and brown stuff and a little melted cheese. Terrible. We also got the bowl of fried seafood (limp, soggy, couple green olives on top) and the lasagna (pretty good). Pretty bummed. Drastic change from what I remember.
Update: staff is nice, food and drinks are good. However, you can no longer order flights which is disappointing Always a great atmosphere! Great food! Most importantly they always have Russian River on tap!
Good specials each day, outside dinning is nice inside very loud especially during any sports events
Food is consistently good. Although on my most recent visit i found they took my favorite dish off the menu. Fun place to watch a game and get some good eats. Menu is extensive for a sports bar.
I really liked the food. The prices were very low for the great tasting items. I ordered a steak and fries for $10. I also ordered a clam chowder that was packed with flavor, clams and bacon. I order clam chowder at other places and it’s watery, not here. I only didn’t like two things. It takes forever for a sever to take the order and the restrooms needed some attention. Had I gotten better service, I would have given it 5 stars in everything.

Gorgeous night to sit outside. Ordered a buttermilk chicken sandwich, but it came out extremely spicy!! Sent it back and got another sandwich. BLT was great! Rated a 3 star because the original fried chicken was not what the menu said, and it took forever to get a replacement. But the service was great and the replacement was good. We will go back again and try it again.
Food was pretty good but bar service really brought our experience down. Bartender was inattentive and impatient with us.
The menu is not as good as the old one. I juat can't get over the drastic change. Was our go to place for sporting events and now we just don't even think about it. It's a sports bar trying to sell high-end food your losing a portion of your customers. Good luck with these drastic changes that to me are not worth it as food taste has dipped. I'll keep an eye for the next menu refresh to see If things change and maybe try it again but i do not hold out much hope.
This was our go to spot. The menu recently changed (even though the waitress said it didn’t), the happy hour too, along with the way it’s presented. My kids noticed it too. I ordered something out of the norm for me which was the mashed potatoes and they were, heavy on the garlic and no salt. My son said it’s gross. We love the meatballs and hope that hadn’t changed. Didn’t order that this time. Our Mac n cheese came out luke warm which was disappointing but it was still really good. The waitress did switch it out. Overall not sure if I’d come back, something is different and not for the better.
A middling experience with some highs and some lows. Starting with the food. Thos location is serviced food wish from the middle eastern restaurant next door that the share an open walkway between the two with. The American cheeseburger on happy hour deal is great and well priced. The Hummus, though, is the real gem. I had 2 portions of hummus, and I want more. Falafel's were a rad over cooked but still pretty good. Pizzookie, whatever that cookienin a pan is was meh. The service was excellent. Great wait, staff, and they even let us have our own tv to watch the Wnba game during the padres game. So big props to that. Sound was turned off in favor of the padre game, which isn't unreasonable, but almost no one was there for the padre game. Atmosphere is the downside I felt. For a press box theme, the design was more modern high class bar than press box themed sports bar. There are a few pictures of great moments in sports but not a cohesive theme. The partnering of a Middle Eastern restaurant, although convenient, doesn't add to the press box element. A rebranding would help define the experience as what it appears to be in name, and expectations are not what you get. With a name like press box and sports lounge you expect casual bar featuring all American food and casual drinking immersed in sports. What you get is a decent restaurant with an attached bar, great wine selection, that happens to have some sports tvs and pictures on the wall. The other downside would be price. It's decent food but a few dollars of over what it should be. It makes up for it with happy hour specials, but those should really be the regular price, not the discount. All and all good experience I would go back for that hummus and if I was in the area and needed a bar it's a good choice.

I visited Press Box Sports Lounge at 2990 Jamacha Road, El Cajon, and unfortunately, I was disappointed. The beer was not cold, the wings and barbecue ribs were not good, and the service was slow since the waitress rarely checked on our table. Overall, the place didn’t feel very clean. In short: warm beer, mediocre food, and slow service made it a letdown.
I was craving a juicy Ribeye Steak so I decided to give this place a try and they gave me a New York Steak thinking I wasn’t going to notice. I told my waitress and she got nervous they didn’t expect me to be a Butcher for 30 years they fixed my bill but now I’m wondering how many people do they scam like this.

This place has a good atmosphere, the bartender was really cool and the staff in general seemed decent enough. They have a good beer selection as well. But the food is abysmal. I had the meatball appetizer which actually tasted pretty good, but the garlic bread had some strange oil that I could not identify and the meatballs we're kind of weird and didn't seem to be made of meat. But I was really hungry and had had a couple of beers so I decided to eat it anyways. I almost immediately regretted that decision. Within 20 to 30 minutes I felt sick and I've been sick all night. Rarely does food actually make me sick to my stomach to the point of forcing almost immediate exit, but this stuff did. Probably be better off dumpster diving behind Rat in the Bag or Taco Hell. I will likely never come back even just for a beer. The food was just that bad. In closing, if you have any respect at all for your body I would highly recommend not eating here.
Was told service animals are not allowed in the bar area - rather rudely at that. Cute. That’s not how that works. Frankly any restaurant this ignorant about basic guest accommodations probably isn’t worth the time or money. Comically enough Google is asking about their wheelchair accommodations. Are those allowed in the bar area? Or do they just pick and choose which parts of the ADA to acknowledge?
Honestly this place is going down hill fast. My family and I have been coming here for 8+ years. After a few previous bad experiences we said we were never coming back but, tonight my brother and I decided to give it one more chance. We both ordered food. I completely finished my meal and my brothers food still didn’t come out yet. We asked the bartender to check on his meal, he went to the kitchen then just continued making drinks without speaking a word to us. A simple I’m sorry for the wait they’re still working out it would have been sufficient enough. I work in the service industry and am understanding of kitchen mess ups from time to time. But the blatant lack of basic customer service skills really disappointed us tonight. When expressing our disappointment to the bartender he got defensive and walked away. Not one apology spoken. I always leave good reviews everywhere I go but I think this needs attention.
Went in on a Friday night at 9:30pm and sit at the bar with my husband and realize there’s a bunch of baseball boys probably about 10-12years old. Go to the bathrooms and all the toilet paper is thrown all over the bathrooms, reported it to the staff and the response is “Again”. Husband goes to the bathroom 10mins later, no change, so made a comment to the parents and the manager that their children have thrown toilet paper everywhere, they deny it and tell us to step off(who’s standing right there) As we are leaving the parents start talking shit and the staff stand there and allow for their parents to threaten us. Very poorly managed! Sadly won’t be returning. Guess they would rather children who make them no money than paying patrons.
Honestly, not satisfied. Our burgers were burnt, but one was rare and burnt. I like med rare burgers but this in tasted like pure grease and burnt. The bacon on my burger tasted old, but I could be wrong. Nachos were 8 dollars for some hard chips and runny cheese. Sadly, the burger at the Habit, which is right beside it would have been better. Not one person asked how our food was just asked how we were doing.

Normally service here is amazing but today was completely different. Upon sitting down while waiting for a hostess, when i finally got one i was not greeted, neither offered a menu. Luckily i already knew what i wanted. After ordering, my water finally came about 10 minutes later. No one checked on my food nor refilled my water. After i was done eating, i placed my napkin on my plate along with any dirty utensils used. No check was brought to me after that , giving the benefit of the doubt i waited another 15 minutes till i finally asked one of the hostess how much the food was. I would understand if it was busy in there but that was not the case.
