We ordered something as simple as a cider house menu to keep things simple, and we were even more surprised by the menu. We were very satisfied, so we highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return. I always recommend arriving early, around 1:30 p.m. There's plenty of parking.
Excellent place near San Sebastián. Spectacular facilities, very friendly, efficient, and professional staff, and the food was spectacular in both quality and quantity. Don't miss the cider menu. By the way, the cider is homemade and some of the best I've ever tasted. A perfect dinner, guaranteed success. We'll definitely be back.
We went during the week, and they were super kind, letting us sit by the barrels for a bit, making txotx 🥰 The food was delicious. I especially love the croquettes and the steak. Wow, I would order the steak a thousand times over! The cod omelet and French toast for dessert were also very good. And of course, the cider 😍
Some friends recommended this cider house to us, and it was truly fantastic. We had a reservation at 3 p.m. We went a little early because we didn't know how long it would take to get there, but they served us as soon as we arrived. The cider house menu was delicious, the pork cheeks and croquettes were spectacular, the cheese was impressive, and the quince jelly was delicious... (house quince jelly). The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was excellent... they were extremely attentive at all times. We'll be back soon because it's worth it. Thanks for everything!
A restaurant in a beautiful farmhouse with spectacular views. The food is carefully prepared. We tried the warm cod salad, the peppers stuffed with cod, and for the main course, we ordered meat dishes. For me, the most impressive were the desserts. It's a must-visit if you're passing through Renteria.
I've been visiting this restaurant for years, and its quality has never faltered. Its family-friendly atmosphere, consistently pleasant service, and quality produce. Their cod salad is second to none, a must-have dish that's so delicious it's always shared. Everything else, whether meat or fish, is always delicious. They also have a good lamb dish that isn't on the menu, and for dessert, the cheese or truffle salad is a must-try.
Amazing place. Even though it was a weekday and out of season, José Luis showed us the cider cellar and treated us to some cider and appetizers. We ate in the dining room, and there was a set menu or à la carte options. There were several vegetarian choices. I ordered puff pastry with leek cream and scrambled eggs with mushrooms. The desserts were also delicious. My favorite was the torrija (Spanish-style French toast). Our waiter, Iker, was very attentive and friendly.
Simply incredible. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and they've always treated us wonderfully. The service is warm, friendly, and very attentive. The service tends to be fast and efficient. I would definitely recommend making a reservation. The cod omelet is simply perfect. The asparagus and salads are surprisingly flavorful and high-quality, and the meat... spectacular: medium-rare, juicy, cooked just right. Bread is plentiful, and to top it all off, desserts are the icing on the cake. I was very surprised by the pantxineta and the cheesecake, very different flavors. There are several vegetarian options available, and if you're vegan, it's a good idea to ask directly. They're quite understanding, but you can't ask them to reinvent the menu: they have what they have, and if they can adapt something, they'll gladly do so. If you're VE/VG, you'll find options like beans, asparagus, salads, or leek puff pastry. So there are alternatives, you just have to have realistic expectations. A well-rounded experience worth every euro. Thank you so much for everything, once again.
We came from Córdoba just to taste this magnificent cider house, and it was worth it. Even though the winery was closed for weekends, they allowed us to visit and taste their fabulous cider straight from the barrel. The cider house menu was exquisite, and we were also able to try a typical dessert, the homemade panchineta, which was delicious. The service and attention received were fantastic. 100% recommended, and we will definitely return to continue trying their delicious menu and their expertise.
I visited the cider house as part of a group outing (more than 100 people) and everything was very good. The food was delicious, and the waiters were friendly and accommodating to all our requests in front of so many people. The place is very authentic, and as my first txotx experience, I loved it. The area where it's located is beautiful.
We went to the cider house on a Friday night, and luckily there weren't many people there, so we were served quickly and well. The guy working the barrels was super nice, not only advising us on the barrels but also opening the ones we asked for. The cider house menu was super good and the prices were average, around €45/person.
A good cider house. We really liked it and tried several. We had the Cider House menu for €40. The classics: cod omelet, cod with peppers, ribeye steak, and dessert with various cheeses, walnuts, and quince jelly. And a chorizo starter. The cider was very good, and the atmosphere was very friendly. They have a menu with other options, and some tables had cod casseroles. I don't know if you need to reserve in advance.

I loved this cider house! It's a great idea to be able to sit with the txots first and then go up to the restaurant. I highly recommend the cod salad. I thought the fish and meat were delicious! As was the rice pudding. The service was delightful, the price was good, and the location is unique! It's a very cozy place where the food is unbeatable.
Como dicen en aquel país.., cojonudo !!! Fuimos un grupo de 16, recomendados para hacer una cata de sidra, en su sala de cantinas enormes llenas de ese caldo. Allí nos dieron con ello, unas albóndigas de bakalao y chistorra frita, que ya nos hizo abrir boca. De ahí nos hicieron subir al comedor más pequeño que tienen arriba, entiendo que dan comidas en temporada alta allí, ya que es muy grande. Era menú cerrado, típico de grupos en una sidrería, pero con calidad top. Plato de jamón para abrir, seguido de una tortilla de bakalao tan buena que no me dio tiempo de hacer fotos, bakalao en samfaina, platito de lechuga con cebolla y para rematar chuletón de vaca vieja, acompañado con unos pimientos y patatas fritas caseras. Todo ello regado con buen vino y un postre de quesos con membrillo. Vale mucho la pena, desviarse un poco de la urbe, para llegar a un lugar así.

Spectacular setting, very close to San Sebastián. The owner of the Hotel Berri Versalles recommended it to us, and I would definitely return. First, we were welcomed with a cider tasting where we could pour as much as we liked, accompanied by a chistorra pintxo. The natural cider is available at a very reasonable price in the restaurant itself, and this was before dinner. The dinner dishes were outstanding. The warm cod salad is highly recommended, the beef cheeks were spectacular, and the dessert...wow, the torrija with vanilla ice cream was divine! If I'm ever back in the area, I will definitely return.

Family meal, we had four dishes: cod omelet, cod with green peppers, cod-stuffed peppers, and cod salad. The cod with green peppers and the cod omelet stood out! It was excellent! The cod-stuffed peppers were good, but I've often eaten better. A little disappointed by the cod salad, which isn't what it used to be; it's more of a cod flan. It was still good. To follow, we had prime rib with salad. Still excellent! We really like the cider from this cider house. Recommended place, but rather outside the tourist season…
Magnificent cider house menu, one of the best cod omelets I've ever eaten, the steak was fantastic, there was only one cider vat open... we couldn't finish it.

A fantastic cider house with a restaurant, rustic yet welcoming. When groups are present, the noise level is breathtaking, but that's just part of the charm. The food is honest and plentiful, and the house cider is excellent.

A very good dinner, exquisite cod omelet. Cod in green sauce was very, very good (and I don't like cod much). The sauce was delicious, cooked to perfection, and both the potatoes and the cod were delicious. The steak was very, very good. I must also mention that the waitress who served us was very friendly. THE BEST CIDER HOUSE IN THE BASQUE COUNTRY
Fantastic service, the food was wonderful, and the croquettes were a nice touch. We ate: Navarrese asparagus, leek puff pastry, beef cheeks, and dessert: French toast with ice cream and panchineta (a type of sweet bread). We drank Egiluze cider. As always, a pleasure.

The setting is wonderful. They were kind enough to let us have a drink from two barrels even though it wasn't the season. The cider house menu is unbeatable. I'd highlight the cod with peppers: perfectly cooked, juicy, delicious!
The best meal of my life. The friendly service was unbeatable, and the food was exquisite. First, some delicious croquettes in the "kupelas" room, then a quality cider house menu, exquisite chorizo in cider and cod omelet, followed by the best steak I've ever tasted, and I usually eat in many good places. The menu included cod tacos, but since we're not a big fan of it, they kindly changed it for more super-delicious croquettes. The cider was delicious, made by them. All for €30 per menu!!! Incredible!! The best meal of my life. 100% recommended!

A wonderful cider house, pure tradition. The menu is very varied: starters, meats, fish, and many homemade dessert options. Generous portions and carefully presented. Highly recommended are the warm cod salad, the pork cheeks, the cod with peppers, or pil pil... And for dessert, the French toast and cheesecake are a must. It's a perfect place to celebrate a good meal; if you go with guests, they're sure to be delighted. If you go with children, they'll also enjoy the cod omelet. We'll definitely be back!

The steak and cod were spectacular, and they were attentive to the special requests of some diners. We ordered two steaks (and a few shots) off the menu to split because we were a bit short, but everything else was great. The price was €41.

A very good cider house, a little out of the way but well worth the effort. Spacious place, long tables, large vats/barrels where the cider rests, attentive service, and excellent value for money: cod omelet, cod in pil-pil sauce, ribeye steak, and dessert for €35. It can be a bit noisy when it's crowded. There's ample parking.
Another cider house in Gipuzkoa. It's quite large, but the service is quick because there are plenty of staff. The cider house menu is similar to most others. A small (and I mean really small) warm cod and potato salad, a cod omelet (a good size and delicious), fried cod with peppers (a generous portion and very tasty), a ribeye steak for four, and cheese with quince paste and walnuts (a good amount and delicious, especially the quince paste and even more so the walnuts). Everything is for four people. The price is reasonable, I'd even say it's a good price. However, if you want a really good ribeye steak, I recommend a good restaurant where they bring the steak to the table on hot coals, a grill, or a hot stone so you can cook it to your liking and eat the meat piping hot, because between the steak coming out lukewarm and the plate being cold, you end up eating the meat almost cold.

We wanted to experience eating at a cider house, and it couldn't be better. The location is beautiful, and the service from the very first moment was top-notch. They offered us glasses and we could go to the txotx (a small corner of the cider bar) to drink all the cider we wanted. The waitress treated us like we were locals, and the products were excellent. Great value.

This seems like a very traditional restaurant, certainly not geared towards tourists as only a couple of staff spoke broken English. No matter - we were able to translate the menu and they handled our bad Spanish and sign language with a smile. The main dishes were interesting and tasty, but desserts were the stand out here - delicious!

Ordering the cider menu is worth it. The best cider in the barrel. Good food and good portions. The torrijas are excellent.
It's not a typical cider house. We were a large group (about 60 people) and left very upset about the food, and on top of that, 13 of us got food poisoning from spoiled food. After this, I don't think I'll go back there again. There are plenty of cider houses in Gipuzkoa to go to.
