Burntwood Tavern - Fairlawn

OMG... This place had the best burger I've eaten in a while. I was visiting Akron from Columbus and came here and I will be returning. Service was quick and friendly and the place was clean. 10/10 recommend.

This was my first time at a Burntwood Tavern and the whole experience was exceptional! I would especially like to give a huge shoutout to our server Deb-she was super attentive-cool-and made my ma-in laws birthday dinner (with all 12 of us) a fabulous experience! The manager on duty was also amazing. Highly recommend!

Great food and service! Had the prime rib grilled cheese and tomato bisque and my husband had a wedge salad and burger. Always delicious. Our server was deb and she was very friendly as well.

My husband and I went for our anniversary and had a lovely time. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be going back

Just got home from Burntwood in Fairlawn. My wife and I had meals. She, the salmon, and I, the cheeseburger. Everything was cooked perfectly. We enjoyed the food. The best part of the experience was Deb, our server. She was amazing! She took great care of us, made suggestions and gave guidance on what my wife could order being on a gluten free diet. The food was definitely 'good' (tasted the salmon and it was delicious). But good food isnt what keeps you coming to a place. Great food does... and great service. Deb will be the reason we will return here.

This was my first time at this location and it was great! It wasn’t too loud and the atmosphere was fun. We had Deb as our server and she was really great! She gave us food recommendations and a glass of champagne on the house! It was really special. Thanks Deb for the wonderful service and hospitality! We will be back.

Went here for a dinner last night and was really impressed with the food quality, service, and the price was pretty darn fair considering. Our waitress was affable and didn't mind doing some extras for my girlfriend's dish. I'd recommend this place

Stumbled upon this place by accident and what a treat! Absolutely beautiful inside. Everything is made from scratch and absolutely delicious. Staff is amazing! Thank you to our server Deb that went above and beyond and answered all our questions. What a delight! We will be back! If you go ask to sit with Deb. You won’t regret it.

The Food was really good it come out hot. The waitress Deb was phenomenal she’s really sweet she did not get upset with us or rush anything. She kept up with our refills. she’s the sweetest i recommend asking for her.

Deb was our server and she was excellent! So much fun to talk to, a great sense of humor, and very exact with the way everything was prepared. One item did not meet her satisfaction so she had it prepared right. This is exactly the kind of attention to detail that makes me want to return. Thank you, Deb!

This was my first time here and I highly recommend it. The food was really good, the service was great, especially from our server Deb. She was very helpful if you needed anything explained, and asked plenty of times if you needed any refills or anything else. Deb really did make this a great experience

Kayley the bartender might actually be a sorceress of good vibes — the kind of person who could make a bad day disappear faster than a martini on a Monday. I came in for a work meeting (responsible adult things), and somehow left with a full belly, a happy heart, and what I’m pretty sure is a new best friend. The atmosphere? Immaculate. The food? Pure wizardry. The potstickers are chef’s kiss perfection, and the prime rib sliders? Let’s just say I briefly considered proposing to them. Who could ask for more? Already planning my next “work meeting” — purely for research purposes, of course. 🍸✨

My boyfriend and I enjoy coming out for dinner here. Every time we come the food is always delicious and we never have a problem with our service. Deb took care of us tonight and let me say she was a very nice person and did her job very well. We will be coming back again!

Deb was amazing. She was a very intentional server, always checked in on us and chatted!!! Overall good atmosphere. Portions were great also.

My husband and I had outstanding service by our waitress/bartender, Marissa! She was friendly and attentive to our every need! ( so much so that we are now Facebook friends! 😊) I highly recommend this restaurant for their great food and outstanding service!

We were served by Deb and she was wonderful! Very polite and attentive. We appreciated her patience with us as we enjoyed our first dinner out with our newborn.

We enjoyed our dinner and I like the aesthetic at Burntwood Tavern. My blackened salmon and roasted vegetables tasted great. The salmon portion was on the small side, but everything was prepared well and tasted great. Our server, Deb, was extremely attentive and the manager checked on us to. We had great service.

We had a delicious meal, it was our 55th anniversary. Deb and Leah made it special for us, they are both great waitresses, so attentive. Can’t say enough about them.

deb, we love you! she was our server, and she was so kind, helpful, and funny. we went to celebrate my bfs birthday and she made it a lovely experience for us! my bfs salmon (blackened + medium cooked like deb suggested) was SO good, and the carbonara i got was even better! all staff interactions were so comfortable, we loved it; sometimes that can be hard to find— so thanks all. honorable mentions to the bartender on duty and man from kitchen staff who delivered the food. we will be back! great first experience.

Deb was our server this evening and was absolutely pleasant. She really made our experience 10-stars, with kind, prompt, and knowledgeable service. She ensured us that if there was anything we did not enjoy fully, she would have the kitchen make it right. Luckily for both of us, there wasn’t a single complaint. The lobster bisque was absolutely amazing as well! If you need a place for a group dinner or fancy date night, I highly recommend!!

finally decided to drop in the other day as I had passed this place hundreds of times and was pleasantly surprised at how awesome it was. the quality of food was honestly really good. got the 3 prime rib sliders first time and french dip the second time I came (which was a few days later). wife got avocado chicken club and the prime rib sliders the second time. the people were great. Will be back again soon. reccomend trying if you are in the area. ask for Deb she was wonderful and very kind to all requests we had.

The food was really good, well prepare. Our server Deb made our dining experience wonderful! She was attentive and responsive during our time. Deb can put a smile on anyone's face.

My fiancé and I came here for the first time at the atmosphere was perfect. We ordered calamari and a Santa Fe chicken salad. I don’t recommend the salad it had no flavor what’s so over, I was very disappointed. Not sure if I’ll go back? It tasted like a wet salad, at least the chicken had somewhat of a flavor!!

Felt like a nice Luxury tavern. Really nice setup with a lot of natural sunlight. Nice indoor or outdoor seating. Best Tater tots Ever and the Rainbow trout was really good too

The place was quiet when we arrived at 5:30 on Friday night, September 13th. Lots of people were eating on the outdoor patio. We sat inside. The appetizers looked very good, so we ordered a few. Cauliflower bites are scrumptious! Also, I had the chicken wings with Buffalo flavor. They are very tasty. My friend ordered the Angus sliders, which are very good! I also had a cup of Lobster Bisque soup. Yummy! We ordered a margarita for me and my friend ordered a kamikaze drink. Our experience was pleasant and satisfying. The waitress was very friendly and checked with us several times to make sure we liked our food. We definitely will come back

Our server deb was great! We had a great time and she was on top of everything and very respectful! Plus she made us these cute little drawings!!

It pains me to deduct a star, but our entrees were less than desirable. Small portions and little flavor. Everything seemed to need salt, but alas there was none at the table. The redeeming qualities are: delicious appetizers - we had the shrimp tacos and tavern tots, nice atmosphere, and decent service.

The food here was really good.I got the street tacos fried todd blackened. It came with sweet potato fries. The service was the little slow. It was. However, the server was very polite.

Deb was are waitress Jan 24 2026 table of 5. She brought small loaves of bread to go with our soup and salad. Our waiter a few weeks ago offered crackers. We will ask for her again.

Prior to COVID, our family frequented both the Fairlawn and the Cuyahoga Falls locations, specifically for the happy hour which at the time was 1/2 off appetizers…great if you have younger kids. Post COVID the food and restaurant were mid at best and we all but stopped going for almost 5 years. Recently my wife had a work lunch and walked away impressed in the quality of food and expanded menu offerings. Tonight, we went back as a family after almost 5 years and walked away impressed! There have been some updates to the menu - some good, some not (my opinion) but the food is back to the original quality! Our waitress, Deb, was fantastic tonight - she was professional and worked hard to ensure we were taken care of. Good to see the Fairlawn location back to restaurant we remember, we’ll be back for sure.

Went here for the first time with my fiancé and aunt & uncle, the vibe was very cool. Interesting and unique decor, and friendly service. The other 3 at the table were please with their food, although agreed they weren't totally full. My salad was mediocre, and didn't fill me up either, but it was alright. This might be more of a spot for light bites and drinks.

Gathering with some coworkers. Had the firecracker shrimp which was good. Ordered a margherita flatbread and some fries to go. Opened up my flatbread and laughed a little bit honestly. Paper thin flatbread with just cheese and whole cherry tomatoes. Didnt even include the basil. Unlike any margherita flatbread I’ve ever had. Dry as can be. Looked and tasted like saltines with melted cheese. For $16 I felt robbed. Fries were basically all small broken pieces. Other menu items sounded good, must have just picked the wrong one

Hey now Deb. Thank you so much for taking care of me and me significant other. If it wasn’t for you we would have left. We walked in the building and were not greeted and had to seat ourselves. Everyone other person that came through the door was greeted by the carrot top lady. Deb you were very kind and checked on us often. You have a great personality and they are lucky to have you. My parm chicken was good too. The carrot top manager however very rude. As she sat at the end of the bar and acted as though we were invisible. Thank you again Deb for you great customer service as it goes a long way and and for that I am thankful to you. I hope you are a acknowledged as your deserve to be the way you did us. Tuesday, early dinner - not busy. Waiter - very nice, but forgot several items - perhaps too many tables - not so many servers on the floor. Food: Wings and a Wedge salad. Wings - smaller, and seven of them - but OK. Wedge - disappointing - most restaurants attempt to feature this simple but presentable - theirs was flat - taste was average. In the end - will not return - although nothing (aside from the manager 'check-in'- as if reading from a script) was bad - the entire experience was blah - something, when you have an abundance of alternatives close by - is never a good thing. ITEMS in photos CHICKEN WINGS - smoked, traditional buffalo or chipotle bbq, celery, buttermilk ranch (requested tabasco - and no sauce - had to go to the bar to get the tabasco, and the wings were not very smokey - and the celery must have fallen off the plate) - wife; CHICKEN MILANESE - spinach, capers, tomato, crispy yukon potatoes, beurre blanc (requested veggies instead of potatoes - didn't make the cut)... In the end to food was more photogenic than it was pleasing to the palate, not bad - just nothing to write home about.

Purchased a Rasta Pasta to go on 23october2024 at approximately 3:00 p.m I paid $20 dollars and received only a few bites of pasta. The portion was unreasonable small. I definitely got ripped off. That being said those few bite were flavorful. Perhaps I should have dinned in and I would maybe have received something decent as far as portion goes. Either way, never eating here again.

We made a reservation for about 20 people to celebrate a very special occasion on Saturday 8/9 at approx 630pm. The hostess was wonderful—warm, welcoming, and had our tables ready. Unfortunately, our experience with our server, Chelsea, was disappointing from the start. Her demeanor made it clear she wasn’t happy to have our party. She was curt, dismissive, and even interrupted guests while they were speaking—once to say we “should’ve asked” for something that typically comes with a drink (e.g., olives for the VIP Martinis). Before taking any orders, she insisted our party would have to be on one bill, which we questioned. The manager immediately clarified that wasn’t the case, but Chelsea then told us we couldn’t move seats because of this policy. We understood the rule, but her delivery felt unnecessarily harsh. When we realized we’d been given brunch menus instead of dinner menus, she responded with, “I really wish someone had spoken up sooner,” again in a dismissive tone. It was disheartening that, on such a special day, several guests felt as though we were inconveniencing her. Many of us have worked in customer service and were surprised by the lack of professionalism. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but I wish we’d had a different server so this milestone celebration could have been remembered for the right reasons.

When I used to manage a couple restaurants, we had a rule that all parties of 10 or more had to be split by at least 2 servers. Servers hated it and it was always a fight. This visit reminded me why we had that rule. 1 server cannot take care of 15 people in a timely manner. Being asked to pass water glasses around the table ourselves, no refills until after everyone had finished eating, straight confusion when the food came out, things forgotten, just generally neglected. Not the servers fault, they just can't physically do all of it themselves. Change the rule, prioritize your guest experience over your servers wanting to make as much money as possible.

The food was extremely bland. There was no flavor in the basmati rice or the salmon. The venue was almost empty on a Sunday afternoon which was a red flag. There were tv's in abundance for sports fans. The atmosphere was not welcoming. I do not recommend the location on Market St. I dont have any plans to revisit. Not worth a second chance. Overpriced below mediocre food

My friend and I met here yesterday for a late lunch around 230 in the afternoon. There appeared to be nobody else in the restaurant. We sat at a high top on the patio. When I arrived I ordered a prosecco and they were out, I simply wanted to celebrate my heavenly mom's birthday after just leaving the cemetery. I ended up getting a glass of wine instead. My friend ordered the beet salad with chicken, I ordered the house salad and added steak. When our food arrived, I did not know that the salad automatically came with a white balsamic. I asked our server if I could get it re made with ranch on the side. I even took the steak off myself and put on a separate plate so I could at least start eating that. My first bite was overcooked and tough . As I waited almost 15 maybe 20 minutes for the server to bring me out a bowl of lettuce, by then my steak was ice cold, then my friend found a bug in hers. Now I realize we were outside but this was not a fly, wish I had the picture she took. At this point we were so disgusted, I told the server I did not want my food. As we finished our wine, we still waited on thinking a manager would come out. Eventually she did and apologized and asked if we wanted anything else. Her excuse for my salad taking so long was they only had one guy working in the kitchen. My thoughts were why didn't she go back and help, hence, they were all just hanging out at the bar. She did end up comping our entire meal. Being in the industry this was unacceptable. Even tho she did take care of our food and 2 glasses of wine, we both decided we will not be returning. Sad this place has gone so downhill
