Ieri sera mi trovavo in pieno centro di Firenze e ho voluto fare questa esperienza cosa che io non mangio mai al centro lo ritengo un posto esclusivo per i turisti ma non per i Fiorentini. Abbiamo ordinato Pizza e Birra e devo dire che la pizza era buonissima.Ottimi ingredienti.Personale gentilissimo.Penso che ci tornerò.

What a beautiful restaurant. The food and wine are great. The beef tartare is really really good. The best parts of this restaurant are its cocktails with the bartender Sunny. We had an amazing time chatting with him and trying his mixes. The staff is nice and smiling. We went 2 nights in a row because we liked the service. It was a refreshing place during our trip.

Great pizza and loved the sampler!!! My dad loves this place, came back after the first dinner. Inside is modern with lots of historical nods. Outside is covered, lots of tables available and staff is busy. Classic Italian dishes, maybe a little touristy but still worth it.

Per cena, con la mia famiglia, abbiamo deciso di venire a provare questa pizzeria. Posto in pieno centro e davvero bello, personale sempre cordiale e disponibile, menu delle pizze molto vario con tante scelte anche particolari e di fatto noi decidiamo di prendere una costa di Amalfi con crema di fiori di zucca, provola affumicata, maionese alla colatura di alici, fiori di zucca, ricotta dura vaccina, crema di fiori di zucca ed alga kombu, €18, un assoluto di cipolla con cipolla fermentata, croccante, in crema, maionese di cipolla e fiordi latte, €17, e mia mamma ha preso una capricciosa €17 e mia sorella una bufala. Acqua da bere, €3, patatine fritte, €6, babà €7 e nutellotto €6. Allora le pizze erano molto buone, impasto davvero leggero e soffice, ingredienti di alta qualità però pagare 25€ a testa per una pizza e mezzo dolce non è poco ma devo comunque apprezzare che le pizze erano ottime

Cibo buono ma non funziona l'ascensore per disabili, per andare in bagno. Tale pecca è inaccettabile, e la porta tocca il pavimento facendo un rumore infernale. Per il resto, cibo buono, buon servizio e layout gradevole.

We visited Sophia Loren Restaurant Firenze before our afternoon tour on a rainy day. Perhaps because of the weather, the restaurant wasn’t very crowded, and we were seated right away. Since we don’t speak Italian, we communicated in English, and although the staff were friendly, there seemed to be a small misunderstanding with our order — the dish we expected based on what we saw on travel blogs didn’t arrive. The Vongole pasta we received was slightly undercooked, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the staff handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. Their warm attitude and sincere service helped us end the meal on a positive note despite the minor hiccup. Overall, while the experience wasn’t perfect, the restaurant’s ambiance, service, and atmosphere were pleasant enough to leave a good impression.

Siamo stati con un gruppo di amici a mangiare una pizza un venerdì sera. Il locale è aperto da un po' ed eravamo abbastanza incuriositi. Il cibo è ottimo: l'impasto della pizza buono e digeribile e gli ingredienti sono di ottima qualità. Anche i dolci sono buonissimi. Il menù davvero merita una visita. Il servizio, purtroppo, è da migliorare: lo staff è giovane, forse pecca un po' di esperienza. Prezzi nella norma.

Il ristorante offre una proposta gastronomica diversa dal solito ristorante toscano, quindi se vi trovate in centro e volete variare un po', va benissimo. Sono buoni i fritti, le mozzarelle e i primi. Non mi piace la pizza. Quello che mi è piaciuto di più è lo spaghettone al pomodoro. Quello che mi è piaciuto di meno lo gnocco alla sorrentina. I piatti sono preparati bene ma non valgono il loro prezzo, come gusto siamo alla sufficienza, voto da 6/6.5. probabilmente 9 per i turisti. La qualità dei prodotti è di buona qualità e il pesce è fresco. Ci abbiamo già mangiato diverse volte, assaggiando quasi tutti i piatti. Il servizio andrebbe migliorato, un po' distratto e poco presente. Il locale si presenta bene e ben tenuto, con un arredamento chic. Anche i dolci non sono male, ma la delizia al limone è ben diversa da quella che tutti gli anni mangio a Sorrento, è troppo secca. Buono il babà e la sfogliatella.

Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was quite disappointing. The service quality was below expectations. The female waitstaff behaved in an unprofessional and rather arrogant manner, giving the impression that customers were there to serve them. Despite arriving earlier, our order was delayed, while guests who came after us received the same dish — pizza — much sooner. When our food finally arrived, it lacked flavor and quality. On a positive note, the bartenders were very friendly and professional. They performed their duties excellently and created a pleasant atmosphere at the bar. We requested the bill several times, and although four different waitresses said they would bring it, we waited for nearly 20 minutes. Eventually, we had to approach the counter ourselves to pay before leaving. Overall, the restaurant has serious issues with service management and staff training. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve, as the location and ambiance have potential.

The ambient was nice, dishes delicious we got two dish of pasta, portion super small and the price super high one of the dish was 25 euro and other 22 euro. I mean worth to try but would be so much turistici I would tell you can have this pasta dish somewhere else maximum 15 euro and bigger portion !

Mi dispiace scrivere una recensione negativa, ma spero che serva come spunto di miglioramento. Era una delle pizzerie migliori di Firenze, con pizzaioli formati da uno dei pizzaioli migliori d'italia (Martucci). Oggi la pizza è peggiorata, mozzarella (fior di latte) molto gommoso e attesa di un'ora (fatto notare piuvolte) per due pizze, nonostante la sala fosse a metà capienza. Peccato

So much potential here but our food and service were disappointing at best. Everything was a hassle and an attempted upcharge. Three different bottle of wine we tried to order off the menu were “not available” and as soon as they said that they immediately pushed options at 2-3x the cost (€120+). We researched so much to choose this place for a special birthday dinner with friends. I went the day before to make a reservation in person to be sure it was ok. Choosing this restaurant was the biggest disappointment of our entire trip.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante diverse volte e ci siamo trovati molto bene, una pizza eccezionale .Purtroppo il 12 luglio 2025 siamo tornati in compagnia ma siamo rimasti estremamente delusi. Pizza scadente, ingredienti pessimi, mozzarella altro che di bufala sono quelle utilizzate nei fast food. Abbiamo preso un piatto di spaghetti alla nerano ma anziché il formaggio c era la panna, Su una pizza abbiamo chiesto cosa fosse il pesto di pra e ci hanno risposto che era un pesto della Sicilia quando da una ricerca su Google risultava pesto genovese. Manco sanno da dove vengono le materie che loro utilizzano. Sulla pizza il pomodoro era acido. Manco il basilico era fresco! Niente soddisfacente. Una grande delusione Di Sofia Loren e della pizza napoletana siamo lontani anni luce . Prima non era così Abbiamo poi saputo che non è più la solita gestione e sullo scontrino risulta che è della catena autogrill. Ah il giorno dopo mal di stomaco tutto il giorno

Nuova gestione stessa insegna una profonda presa in giro per il cliente. Con molta delusione siamo tornati in uno dei posti dove si mangiava una delle migliori pizze di Firenze (non a caso visto che portava la firma del primo pizzaiolo italiano). Purtroppo l’ignaro consumatore non può sapere che ora il posto ha una nuova gestione (autogrill per la precisione) e che dell’ottima pizza non è rimasto nulla. Personale molto gentile ma Allo sbaraglio totale. Prezzo elevato per la pessima qualità.

Abbiamo ordinato quattro birre alla spina e un espresso, ma ci è voluto molto tempo prima che arrivassero le bevande. Inoltre, poiché eravamo seduti proprio davanti al bancone, abbiamo visto chiaramente che due delle birre alla spina venivano completate versando birra in bottiglia. Quando il cameriere ce le ha portate, abbiamo notato che erano miste, e gli abbiamo detto che avevamo ordinato birra alla spina. Lui ha risposto che la birra alla spina era finita, quindi aveva usato quella in bottiglia. Gli abbiamo detto che avrebbe dovuto prima chiederci se andava bene sostituirla, ma invece di scusarsi ha semplicemente detto che le avrebbe riportate indietro. Il suo atteggiamento ci ha molto infastiditi, così abbiamo deciso di non bere più niente e di andarcene. Neppure in quel momento si è scusato. Quando stavamo uscendo, gli ho detto che sarebbe bastato chiedere prima e scusarsi per evitare tutto questo, ma lui, con tono sarcastico, ha risposto: “Mi dispiace, ora tutto a posto ?”. Per un posto così costoso, almeno il servizio dovrebbe essere all’altezza. È già la seconda volta che facciamo un’esperienza simile qui. Non torneremo mai più. Spero che prestiate più attenzione alla formazione del personale.

Everything was terrible about this place. The waiter spilled Coca Cola all over my and my brother’s clothes - including two jackets and pants, both of which require dry cleaning. I went outside to get some fresh air, came back in 5 minutes and there was still coke all over the floor. Whatever, maybe the food would be good, but no —it was atrocious. The claim of “original Italian food” could not be further away from the truth. Every single dish we ordered was bad (table of 7 people). As for the atmosphere they played cheap remakes of Italian classics. I was asking myself why on earth would they do this. To be honest it was clear to me that the food was going to be bad from how the restaurant looked from the outside, but our tour guide brought us here. Utter disgrace.

Very disrespectful experience We visited Sophia Loren Restaurant in Florence to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Sadly, the experience was extremely disappointing. The pizza was very low quality, but what truly crossed the line was the offensive behavior of a cook who made vulgar sexist comments in Arabic, assuming we wouldn’t understand. He described my friend using crude sexual language (“hayga hegan” – a degrading term implying she is sexually aroused and immoral), said she had been “looking for him all day,” and spoke about her in a way that clearly labeled her as a prostitute. This is completely unacceptable in any professional restaurant. Loud Arabic street-style music also ruined what should have been a calm birthday dinner. (we were charged a service fee despite this unacceptable treatment) A place with such a famous name should do much better. Not recommended.

Must be the worst restaurant in all of Italy. Ziti pasta dish came out with the sauce still frozen from the microwave. Arancini still frozen in the middle. Old fashioned cocktail had to be sent back twice because their “mixologist” was having an off night. Charged 3 euro for “covered dining”. Lady at the reservation desk looked and acted like she would rather be anywhere else in the world. Restaurant itself is beautiful and in a very good location. Shame about the food, drink and service.
