Opinions de Shanghai You Garden Restaurant Flushing
On a busy corner in Flushing. Right by the subway entrance. Order at one window and pick up on the other. Lava pearls has brown sugar. Both drinks were good. They had to remake one drink but she did that fast when she saw the other worker made it wrong.
Got a passionfruit green tea with popping pearls I believe, and can I just say this drink is so good. The server was also really nice and smiled when he spoke… nice change from the flushing atmosphere.
My go to place in NYC for bubble tea. Nothing else satisfies in the milk teas category. Unfortunately they were out of Caramel milk tea last time I went. Bit of a bummer. Np got to try something new. Love the concept of a secret drink on the menu. Really cool! ~and extremely creative
A pretty good boba spot. It's pick-up only and is built into the corner, so don't expect to sit down here. Lines move pretty fast and the orders come out faster. I have yet to be disappointed, overall it's provided quality service and drinks.
Close to Hotels. Great Locatiom. Open late. Lots of good stuff to eat. And it all tastes goid. Safe neighbord for the elderly and kids.Nice service.
Honestly, one of my favorite drink places out there. Prices are affordable, drinks are made quick and fast. Wow I LOVE THIS PLACE. I go there like almost every week for a drink because of how delicious their drinks are. Especially one of the workers, so sweet and amazing! I'm not sure what her name is but she has black hair, she's asian, probably 5'5, amazing lashes, she's great and efficient! DEFINITELY WILL BE GOING BACK NEXT WEEK!
This spot has been here for so long and has been one of the best. Super reasonably priced and high quality. Workers are also super nice, especially this one girl who served me. She had black hair and was quick with my drink on a busy afternoon (I think her name was tiffany). She was very polite would go back again as a fan favorite.
Jason was awesome. Gave great recommendations and made our drinks really super swag. Bro Jason changed my life bro I can’t even lie bro
5 STAR EXPERIENCE 100000000000000%. THE WORKERS THERE (HIGHLIGHTING TIFFANY) ARE VERY ATTENTIVE, NICE, POLITE, AND FAST. THEY ARE ABLE TO MULTITASK AND PREPARE MY DRINK WITHIN 3-5 MINUTES!!! THE DRINK QUALITY IS GREAT AND THE MANGO DRINKS ARE TOP TIER!! THE LOCATION IS GREAT BECAUSE IT IS IN THE CENTER OF MAIN ST! WHAT A SPECTACULAR BUBBLE TEA SHOP, I HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE I WAS AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILD!!! LOVE IT HERE ONCE AGAIN 5 STARS!!!
I LOVE THIS COCO LOCATION BECAUSE THEY HAVE THIS AMAZING EMPLOYEE NAMED TIFFANY. SHE GENUINELY DESERVES A RAISE. SHE WORKS VERY HARDLY AND IS VERY DILIGENT. SHE MAKES MY DRINKS TASTE BETTER THAN ANY OFHER COCO LOCATION. BLESS THE HEAVENS FOR GIVING THEM AN EMPLOYEE LIKE TIFFANY!!!! 🤣🤣😊😊🥹🥹🥺🥺💘💘😊😊🥰🥰🙏🙏
The mango smoothies were soooooo good. I’d give it like a 6 out of 7 snd I hope that I can get some more in the future. I will bring 6 or 7 friends to all get mango smoothies. 🥺🙏
Great spot for boba to go! I love their Bubble Gaga and Passion Fruit Green Tea.
Pretty typical shanghainese food, xiaolongbao is good/decent especially since nanxiang sold out after getting their Michelin star. Good comfort food although appetizers are a bit pricey. This is low-key a 5 star because they have always given out a complimentary xiaolongbao or Peking duck if you spend $10 as well as tongyuan at the end. Great people, great value.
Really love the hospitality here. Complimentary soup dumplings are amazing. Must try the crab and abalone soup dumplings as well. If you don’t like the fishy taste of the fumbling just pour some vinegar and add some ginger. Makes all the difference. If you like lots of sauce on your food then this place is for you. The beef cubes were incredibly juicy and tender. Barbecue pork was nice and tangy.
Authentic Chinese food at a reasonable price. Also found under the Peking Duck Sandwich Stall. In the heart of NYC Chinatown there are tons of food options so it is difficult to find one that really stands out. This one does especially if you are a duck lover. We were visiting friends who live in the area and there was no question this is where we would go to get Chinese food. There were 5 of us but we ordered 4 dishes, had plenty with leftovers. We ordered the duck bao buns which came with the duck sliced to bun size and all the fixings to make the bun the way you like. It was fantastic and very fresh. We ordered Grandma's pork belly which came served in a cute piggy bowl. It was done to perfection and super tasty! The Shanghai Chicken (cold appetizer) was so good! But be prepared as this is authentic, the bones are still in it and cut with the slices. There can be small pieces in the meat. If you spend over $40, they give you a free serving of dumplings. Our friends had to teach us the correct way to eat them as they are filled with meat and liquid. But out of this world delicious!! The only drawback is it was a little challenging to find the door to get in. The waitstaff was great. I would recommend this restaurant.
If you dine in and spend $10, you can get a free duck bun or an order of soup dumplings!! WOW. We also ordered an order of their new spicy pork dumpling flavor but preferred their original pork over the spicy. The soup dumplings are always great. We also ordered half of a roasted duck which is enough meat to feed about 7 servings (several extra buns but not enough meat). CASH ONLY with an ATM on site. Their other dishes are also very yummy to try. They also gave us a FREE dessert soup - warm and sweet with small glutinous balls.
The soup dumplings (better than din tai fung) are really good and same with the duck buns!! We came back a second trip to flushing for it. The other stuff is okay- try somewhere else for stinky tofu and rice rolls. They give you free tea and sweet rice soup w sticky rice balls. Also, their current special is if you spend 10$ they give you the soup dumplings for free - yum!! I would come again!
Was in Flushing and found this restaurant on Google maps was highly rated and decided to try. Was a hidden gem, the front of the restaurant was completely empty, but bustling in the back. Food was great and reasonably priced. The soup dumplings were not as good as others I’ve had and would not order again as the filling and the soup lacked flavor. However, the duck was delicious (even though it didn’t have much meat), the spicy tripe and beef was tender and tasty, the fried scallion and shrimp dumplings were delicious and would recommend. Our family of 4 ate for less than $85 all in (tax and tip). It’s cash only, btw!
Got to say, they serve some really stinky tofu. The peking duck bun booth is very famous. Was seated upstairs in the bit more bare bones dining area. Went for the free buns instead of soup dumpling, and ordered a ton of dishes from my childhood. Everything has subtle delicate flavors letting ingredients shine without being overpowered by spices. Service a bit slow and unattentive, took a while to get the bill but that's not why you come here.
Stopped by to grab their $2 (they're $2.75 now) duck buns and ended up sitting inside and grabbing their soup dumplings. They had a deal for a free set of regular dumplings so we tried their spring special dumplings and regular and both were very tasty. Larger than the others I've seen, tasty broth, fun flavors. Tea was tasty, service was actually really nice and helpful, they even gave us a free "dessert" soup. Definitely recommend this spot.
Those is a local restaurant in Bayside Queens that I had lunch with a friend. You can stop in for lunch or take out since it’s set up for both. I highly recommend sitting down and having a delicious meal at this restaurant. A bonus is you’ll get a free order of fantastic Soup Dumplings with your meal. They have a wide variety of soup dumplings to choose from plus lots of other appetizers and entrees. When my meal ended I took home half a duck and a pound of barbecue pork that they cut up in front of me. They were delicious as well. If I’m in the neighborhood I’ll definitely eat here again!!!
We have eaten Take Out from this place many times. This was my first time to dine in. It was FANTASTIC! Efficient and friendly associates- great team work. Nicely decorated. Food was served hot and was delicious. Love your Pork Soup Dumplings. Peking Duck. Spare ribs. Rice cake. Shrimp and Tofu. Noodles with beef were the Best! Take Out too for more Soup Dumplings and they graciously wrapped them in an insulated bag!

The experience was awesome and the food was good that people go there often for lunch. Also when people order more than 10 dollars you get soup dumpling or gua boy for free.

One of my favorite Bubble Tea places! [+] Prices are really good [+] Bubble Tea tastes really good [+] Location is really good (conveniently located close to Subway station) [+] selection is really good (so much to chose from) [+/-] there is nearly always a line [-] no plant-based milk alternatives [-] staff is not always the fastest I can strongly recommend this place IF you are not in a rush. I have not found the staff unfriendly (like mentioned in some other reviews), but have been asked to come back to pick up my Tiger Milk Tea twice already (after standing in line for approx. 10 mins each time)... so, yeah, bring patience. They seem to have an app, which makes ordering ahead possible (see pictures), so maybe that is an option IG you are in a rush but still want Bubble Tea :) There are vegan options, but not for milk teas, as this place does not offer plant-based milk alternatives. Can adjust sugar and ice levels to taste.
The Brown Sugar pearl milk tea was amazing. The tea and milk flavors were fresh and prominent. When the cup was ready, it was warm, because the brown sugar was heated up and dripped on to the inside. This I believe added to the flavor profile. Of course it also assured that powder form of brown sugar it wasn't!
This a bubble tea spot in a corner of a super busy street. You can make a nice mix with different toppings or milk. Maybe also check the amount of sugar, I had the chunky mango green tea and thought it was a little too sweet.
Amazing soup dumplings! You get 6 free pork soup dumplings if you order anything over $10. We tried a variety of different types of soup dumplings but I think the best one was pork. Good flavour, not too dense, and rich broth. We also tried the Peking duck bao which is only $2.75. it's not really Peking duck, just regular BBQ duck, but still quite good. Cash only. There's an atm inside that charges an insane conversion fee. The restaurant is right by the LIRR which is convenient. Would come to try again.
I’ve visited this spot many times over the years, and it has always been one of my favorites in Flushing Chinatown. The prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly, and the menu offers a wide variety of choices. Sadly, I’ve noticed that the food quality has started to decline compared to past visits. The wonton and noodles, which used to be my go-to dishes, are no longer as flavorful or satisfying as they once were. I still enjoy coming here, but I really hope the kitchen returns to the high standard that made this place so special.
I came at around 10:30 for a late breakfast and ordered the pan-fried pork buns, scallion pancakes with beef and iced soymilk. This was already too much for one so I anticipated having leftovers. I had no idea that I crossed some monetary threshold for an order of free soup dumplings! Keep this in mind if you're solo dining... The scallion pancakes were delicious and the pork buns very good (not my fave in Flushing, but solid). The soup dumplings were good and the soymilk was the perfect amount of sweet. I also like their chili...heavy on the crisp and light on the oil. The restaurant was well lit and clean and the service was efficient and pretty friendly by Flushing stardards. I would definitely return (with friends).
Shanghai You Garden serves good and authentic Chinese breakfast. My parents are a fan and always prompts us to come here. Their menu is huge, but when you order enough, they will give you 6 soup dumplings or peking duck bun for free. I'm a huge fan of their salted tofu. The staff are always available if you need help. I will say though, after eating here, you will experience food coma. The food is also a tad oily so you may feel bloated.
Great place! Food and services are both good. price is reasonable, too. You also get a free tray of xiaolongbao and a free dessert at the end.

this is my go to coco location and i’ve never had an issue here ever and never thought i’d give a one star to. they recently added kiosks, but kept the register open with a cashier there, so I assumed the cashier would take my order (keep in mind, there’s a cashier plus two other people working in the back, so there’s 3 people on the shift). the guy on register, who I overheard be called something rhyming with the word bank, seemed slightly busy prepping cups with tapioca bubbles so I waited a bit to give him the benefit of the doubt since I myself work in the food industry. he sees me waiting to order, but continues prepping cups with bubbles/working on making drinks for other orders despite having two other people in the back who are working on the drinks too, having me wait for a good 5 minutes. there was a lady behind me who had a question and only then did he look up to answer her question, but not to take my order, directly going back to making drinks. i never got my order taken as i left due to being blatantly ignored and waiting a good amount of time. if they are no longer taking orders at the register, they should make it clear, not just ignore customers who choose to not use the kiosk and making them hopelessly wait to get their order taken. i understand he was maybe trying to help get orders moving, but taking my order would’ve took less than a minute. horrible customer service.
They’re literally paying attention more to taking pictures on Instagram. They’re their customers and they took my order wrong instead they gave me a slush without bubble bubbles. They should if you’re gonna do a job with a good cause I’m paying.
Out of the many boba shops located in flushing go anywhere but here! The male worker had a nasty attitude but I gave him the benefit of the doubt due to the employees working in tight corners, and the stress he may have endured throughout the day. Later on when drinking my boba, I found foil trash in my drink. This place has no regards for attempting to improve their customer service nor the quality of their drinks. Please go somewhere else, there’s so much better out there.
The website shows they close at 12:00, but they don’t let u order when it’s 11:55. She told me she doesn’t have anything left:)
I went there yesterday. The drinks were OK, but one female staff member had a bad attitude, which really ruined my mood.
