Taco Loco Taqueria

So fun! Went with a friend for Happy Hour… which turned into many hours. Awesome margaritas, great food, bright fun atmosphere with crazy good prices! My first time in… gracias Cynthia for being a big part of our fun, and for your attention to keeping our drinks coming! 🫶🫶

This is my new home. The food is delicious! The service was awesome you guys.. The people are friendly and good food like I wanna go everyday. I can sit back have a margarita (very tasty btw), watch the game and eat authentic crunchy tacos. Seriously... This place is dope!!!

I've been to this establishment several times and every time I've been here has been a great experience. I like their selection of tequilas and the food has always been great. I also think they have some of the most beautiful wait staff of any restaurant in the area.

A pretty decent place with a nice bar. Nicer than the usual Mexican strip mall restaurant. Staff is fantastic. The burrito I got was a bit mediocre, though. I will try more items in the future.

First time customer…ordered 2 tacos, one pollo, one carnitas…both with cheese and guacamole…they were very good…and HUGE…was expecting street taco size! One caveat- although the portions are generous, the tacos are listed on the menu with just the meat and corn tortilla…all other fillings must be ordered as sides and are charged for accordingly so each taco ended up being about $6.50…an unusual way of ordering, and had I known how large they would be I would’ve only ordered one. Overall, very good food! 👍🏻

I seriously don't know why this place doesn't have a higher rating because I LOVED it! The carne asada blew me away. I got the taco and tostada with the beef and wished I could eat the meal again when I had finished. I have been thinking how I can get back there to eat that taco practically every day since. This is exactly the flavor I want when I think of Mexican food. Well done guys, keep up the good work.

Lunch was Incredible! Like a King... Great Service and Food...BUT Dinner the Next Day Felt Rushed, Almost Rude and NO ONE Smiled, Food was Still Great. I Recommend the Burrito Estillo...

Loved the interior decoration and artwork definitely an upper scale Mexican restaurant from a white man's perspective. The food was good and it was nice to be able to sit down at a restaurant and eat because their back patio had huge open doors so have to guess were in between the restaurant and the patio and then the rest said I'm on the patio. Only gave the restaurant four stars because the service could have been a little better considering how many people were working we had to remind them to bring our chips and salsa that we paid for before we ate, and remind them to bring our drinks what is the poor girl who was supposed to be on our break at least brought us our cups but we had to fill our drinks ourselves and then we had to wait for silverware with our hot warm plate sitting in front of us other than that it was a wonderful evening.

Drinks are bomb, food is bomb, and the yellow hot sauce will blow your shorts out! Careful its hot! Staffs always great cant complain a definite spot to check out...no 5 stars cause no more free chips n salsa 😒 other than that Vamanos!

You have two options to order, go up to the register then take a seat or take a seat and wait/decide what you want...if you sit first the waiter will eventually make thier way to you..so don't be pestered if others get served before you do. Chips and house salsa are the best start to our dining experience. The Salsa flavors were on point and not overly spicy at all...it was like saying here's our flavors, go hotter if you dare. We ordered a burrito, Carne asada tostadas and the taco with enchilada plates....THEEE BEST!!! No addition seasons required! Rice tasted homemade, they cared about this staple Mexican side. Prepared perfectly! The beans...between the black, pinto and refried, they all had their traditional distinctive flavors and tasted amazing. Health portions of all proteins (chicken, Carne and carnitas). Drinks were great selections between the jarritos in many flavors, Coke vending products and their bar!! Though they were out of many beer selections, the IPAs available were good. We opted for the SN Amber IPA was a really good alternative and went well with the food. I also had a mojito. This was the most flavorful mojito I've ever tasted it was worth getting a second. I'd ask to go light on the ice next time, but I'd keep ordering them. The restaurant was clean, smelled of Mexico and the atmosphere with the Mexican music and decor enhanced the experience. Two adults could talk without feeling like they had to yell and two teenagers (who, let's face it, teenagers hate everything) put their phones down as soon as they tasted the Salsa and knew soda was unlimited, engaged and participated in the entire evening. It was a wonderful 90 minutes of family time. Hands down, just go! You'll love it, and be happy you found a great new spot that's worth the drive.

We went twice in two days. One for dinner and one for breakfast. Both were delicious! Drinks were delicious. Staff are fun and interactive. The bean dip al pastor is a must!

Pricey! $14 margaritas. The enchilada soup is more like a mole. It is thick and pretty heavy. The fajitas come in a a lot of sauce that I am not use to. We got only 2 pieces of shrimp in our fajita trio for $19. You do have to pay for chips. I will say the margirita was very good despite the cost. All in all I do think for being a order at the counter place it is pricey. $76 for a couple and a 5 year old for a seat your self, order at the counter place

If it weren't for the horrible service, incomplete order, and a very rude owner they would get a higher rating, but the service is horrible. Really. The place itself is a decent place, warm lighting with a nice atmosphere, and the food is usually really great food! Except, today my flautas were soggy and there were items missing from my to-go order.

It was alright....whole pinto beans didn't have much flavor and no juice at all so it was dry....they also use tons of cheese which for me is a bit much. The rice was very good but the portion was small. I would give them another try. Good salsa bar.

Accessible local Mexican restaurant with decent Happy Hour. Sat at the bar whete bartender clearly only values regular patrons; basically ignored me and my friend for the duration of our visit unless we flagged her down but meanwhile talked excessively loudly to other patrons she knew by name. Not exactly welcoming. Margaritas are good and Happy Hour menu is decent. Mainly come here because it's close to where my friend lives.

This place HAD amazing shark tacos back then. For a place called TACO Loco, there wasn't much to get crazy about on the actual offering of Tacos. I decided to order a shrimp and a fish taco to see how they make theirs now. Unfortunately, they make them very bland. Very little flavoring and also very little filling. PLENTY of lettuce though, which I found a little odd as most fish and shrimp tacos are served with cabbage. Sadly I had hoped for a new taco spot and just realized I hadn't been missing much over the last decade. I will say that the bar and hang out scene was pretty lively for a Tuesday afternoon around 1pm. So if you're looking for a nice place to chill and hang out with friends, this could be a go to spot for you. Parking was pretty scarce though.

This place was OK. I probably wouldn't eat it again as both the times I've been their the food and staff was sub par. The lady that handed us our food had an attitude. The food I was given (fish tacos) had all batter and virtually no fish not to mention when i took the first bite there was nothing but grease from the deep fryer. Not to mention the oh so delicious stale chips they gave us. Not at all impressed. The best thing they have is a bar.

I will never return. Food could be decent, but very skinny on lettuce and veggies in general in any food on the menu. Chicken burrito was lackluster. Came with chips. Salsa bar was mediocre. Should have gone to Dos Coyotes down the street. Everything was just meh. Food overpriced for what it is.

Never write bad reviews. This has been my go to place talked good things all over folsom chat for years. Went in tonight their machines were broken. Charged me twice. 60$ for two tacos. I told them my card already charged they weren’t listening and made me do it again. I really hope the owner sees this and has a huge change to his restaurant. This is so sad.

Stopped in on a whim, passing by and was hungry. The service was okay but the food was unacceptable for any price. I ordered two lobster tacos, $7.50 ea.and a drink. First of all I am not even sure the lobsters were even lobster, more like langostinos. The sauce is hard to even describe, hardly edible, surely not Mexican, slightly red, very runny and the taste was barely acceptable. Even the hot sauce didn't taste right. Looked like a cool place and I would go back if they get a new chef.

Ordered the nasties Margarita tasted like well water and bar rag. Food was flavor less. The mild salsa was the only thing with flavor. What Mexican food ? bland no heat no chili flavors expensive California Burrito no where near a regular taqueria, will never be returning to this restaurant a waste of $$ definitely better places to spend money . Especially in folsom. Expected better .

First time ever in this place food was way to greasy my bill was 65.05 i left 10.00 tip.went on my account to see my card was charged 78.06 i do not recommend this place but its everones own opinion. The service was great. The people where nice. Restaurant was clean. Just not impressed with food or the over charge of my card.i did bring it to the cashiers/servers attention as well.

Food is great, but the service at the bar is lacking. Bartenders ignore those that are not regulars. I’ve sat here waiting to get a drink refilled and my bill paid, but they’re too busy socializing with her regulars

Ordered ceviche and 2 chicken street tacos for almost $30 The ceviche had only a small layer of seafood on top, 80% of it was only filler salad at the bottom, what a complete ripoff! The street tacos were pathetically small and the taco shells feel apart due to all the water in the chicken.
