An old timey feel for this restaurant, and the whole village, which I really enjoyed. The food was really good and the waitress very nice. Definitely worth a stop, and take a minute to read the restaurant 's history on the menu!

We stopped here for lunch on the way back from visiting Castel Savoia. Despite the late hour (around 2:00 PM), they seated us and served us promptly. We ordered the charcuterie board pictured, braised pork cheek, and grilled turkey with mashed potatoes. Friendly staff, excellent food, and fair prices!

From the outside, it looks like a rather ordinary little place. Inside, however, the staff is friendly and helpful. Excellent food and very reasonable prices, with large portions. We had polenta and meat for 18 euros and struggled to finish it. Truly delicious.

There might not seem like there is a huge selection of dishes, but they rotate it frequently (we've been there a couple of days later and it had changed already). The food was very good and the location is unsuspectedly amazing from the insight (photos attached)

The best tanning polenta I've ever tried. Dining room staff and owner were delightful people, excellent service and food of excellent quality in general. Excellent prices. A must-see to try real mountain cuisine. Well done!

We stopped at this simple, homey restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of the dishes. The simple cuisine tastes really good, with generous portions, and a good value. The waitress is very kind, helpful, and smiling. She welcomed us warmly, and we immediately felt at home. The restrooms are a little dated, but they're well-maintained and clean. Parking is on the small street below the restaurant, not easily visible at first. We ordered the Valdostan platter and tomini cheeses for an appetizer. For the first course, tagliolini with Aosta blue cheese. For the second course, roast veal fillet with a side of very rich and flavorful fresh salad and another side of green beans and potatoes. For dessert, we ordered the peach and apricot tart, the warm-hearted chocolate cake, and the amaretto semifreddo. For the children, there was pasta with tomato sauce, ragù, or plain with butter. The still water served is bottled and comes from the spring. In total, 7 people paid 143 euros.

We often go to this restaurant, which offers delicious traditional Aosta Valley dishes at an excellent price! The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is always perfect! Even our little girl is always happy to go there! Highly recommended!

Down home cooking, super friendly staff, great location in the charming village of Fontainemore, next to the medieval stone bridge and the church with a statue of a black madonna. And the best polenta uncia with deer stew I've ever had, by far.

Buon punto di ristoro a Fontainemore . Ottima anche la colazione. Personale gentile, cordiale. Ambiente semplice molto pulito e solare, con lavori alle pareti di artigianato locale di qualità. Apprezzata la spiegazione che ci viene data su come siano stati effettuati i lavori da artigiani del posto. Piatti della cucina tradizionale, semplici ma ben preparati e presentati. E' stata una tappa casuale ma felice . Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo.

Locale rustico con piatti tipici, cucina ottima e con un buon servizio. Si consiglia di prenotare e di arrivare presto per trovare parcheggio, poiché il parcheggio vicino è abbastanza limitato.

A delicious lunch at a fair price. Without a reservation, the two of us had lunch here: We ordered an appetizer (tomini), a first course (plin), a polenta concia, and a braised beef with puree. Everything was simply but deliciously cooked.

I stumbled upon this restaurant on the way back from the Savoy Castle to Milan. A very welcoming and simple place. The staff were very polite, smiling, and ready to answer any questions. Recommended

Excellent food, excellent plin, Valdostana soup ok, nice and welcoming restaurant, kind and courteous even if at first glance it seems a little less. You can bring dogs as long as they are calm, it is better to book as it is always full. A restaurant as an obligatory stop.... worth it

We stopped by chance and were pleasantly surprised. The place is certainly a bit dated, but the attention to detail in the tables showed a desire to attract customers. The service was fast and attentive, and the waitress was kind and friendly. The food, typically Aosta Valley, was excellent, both in terms of the quality of the ingredients and the care with which they were cooked and prepared. Even the simple tomato pasta dish for the children was carefully prepared and excellent! The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food offered.
