Opinions de Mad For Chicken Forest Hills
Service is rather lacking, although the friendliness of the staff makes up for it. As for the food, think of it as an overpriced KFC. True, it comes with options for garlicky and spicy flavors, but so are the many other Korean-owned chains that are better.
This place always has a chill vibe when entering. The staff is very welcoming. There was no wait for a table of any size when me and my part of 6 went. Started with 4 people then when my other two friends showed up the staff was very helpful in transitioning our party to a larger table. The food is very good and always comes hot. Definitely recommend ordering their chicken in their classic soy garlic or spicy soy garlic. However they do have other sauces available. Fries are a must when pairing with the chicken. To complete the package I would definitely recommend a Korean imported beer like Terra. Overall the place is a very nice hangout eatery in the neighborhood.
Absolutely delicious! I had their 5 tender meal with truffle fries and it was so much better and no more expensive than fast food. The chicken was just a little cold and they forgot my drink, but for the price and how good the food was, I can totally overlook it and I'll definitely come back. Solid portions and surprisingly low prices. What a great value in Forest Hills!
I dream about this chicken; a week later and I crave having it again. My only regret about coming here is that I don't live in NY and I didn't eat more of this delicious fried poultry of the gods. If only i had known earlier of its existence. The crispyness of the skin on the wings: perfection. The flavor of the soy garlic sauce glazed all around: exquisite. Also great parmesan truffle fries! Please come to Texas so I can give you more of my money!
Came here for the wings, stayed for the happy hour! To start off, the service was fantastic, very attentive staff. The lychee soju cocktail and margarita were strong and tasted good. Wide selection of beers, the mad lager which was included in the $5 draft beer for the 4-7pm happy hour, became my favorite. Wings are made fresh so it’s about 30 mins for your order, but get the truffle Parmesan fries while you wait, they’re the best.
I went here with a group of friends on Saturday during lunchtime. I got the avocado chicken sandwich and my friends got some wings. The sandwich was good and so are the wings. I definitely recommend this place to any chicken lovers out there who are craving good, satisfying chicken.
The wings are incredibly crispy...I really enjoyed them. I ordered the Large wing platter with 2 other guys and we couldn't even finish them. Great spot after a concert at Forest Hills for a pitcher!
DK and Dillon were great, another gentleman as well, but I don't know his name. Service was great, food was great, definitely recommend 👍
Server Alan is the man! Good service good hospitality and good communication!! Had the 10 piece wings, Mac & cheese with fries…
We reached supper late in the night and they were almost closing but the staff was very generous, they helped us get the food, we got some chicken wings and veg dumplings in soy garlic sauce is amazing!!!! Like best dumplings ever!
I have lunch here every Saturday. This past Saturday my girls and I had chicken tenders, wings, and spicy drumsticks with 2 different kinds of French fries. I love the food there.
This spot is an amazing vibe on Austin St. I stumbled upon it with a friend of mine and I was not disappointed. They serve you a bowl of yummy complimentary popcorn while you wait for your food, how cute! I have to say the BURST of flavors are devine. I got the Crispy chicken bowl - the Korean noodles were incredible. The mix of guacamole and bbq had me nervous at first, but once I took a bite it was actually really good. I love how creative the food is there. We also got the kimchi fries which I forgot to take a photo off because we literally stuffed our faces as soon as it came out. It was FIRE! It def has a kick so warning if you don’t like spicy. They have excellent kids options as well, my daughter loved their chicken bowl. I can’t wait to come back to Forest Hills and eat here again!
Amazing experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. Definitely one of the best spots around. I’ll be coming back often and recommending it to everyone.
Korean fried chicken is sooooo friggin good especially their iconic soy garlic flavor. Overall menu is a bit pricier than other fried chicken joints however it’s truly worth the he extra few $$$ Other items on their menu include various sandwiches, salads, bowls and array of sides but star of the show is simply chicken. I personally love the Radish, sweet and vinegary compliment the chicken perfectly. Great food, great service and great music. I’m sold.
Went on a Sunday and had fried dumplings with a sauce of half and half. It was really tastefulIf, if you like a kick of spicy this is the way to start as an appetizer. For main course I ordered #2 the 5 wings and fries with a choice of sweet and spicy 🌶️ 🌶️ as a sauce. Service was super sweet and very kind. Good music definitely a vibe. If you around Austin st in queens pull up!
This is a cool place to have a yummy bite, I had the crispy chicken bowl and it was very good, I also had a Soju Lada drink and it was amazing, I loved it! The only thing I didn't like is that the music is too loud, a little lower would be good. Update Feb 2023: I came back after a long time, this time I had the spicy crispy chicken sandwich and it was really good! And spicy! My friend had the nachos and they were very tasty as well. The sojulada is still amazing! Highly recommend
I ate at Mad For Chicken today and it was amazing! Both servers were great, but server Cristian was the one who served us. He was amazing, he explained the menu very well to me (I was very indecisive on what to eat!), and very attentive, making sure he checked up on us once in a while. Would definitely recommend this place! I did not catch the other servers name, but Cristian was definitely one of a kind!
Romeo was our server. They we very patient, polite and accommodating and attentive. They keep the restaurant clean an sanitize from table seat the high chairs. The bartender also delivery a good old fashioned. The food was delicious from apps to dessert. Ill be recommending mad for chicken to all my friends
Great happy hour spot!!!! $6 for beers and apps. We got truffle fries, buffalo chicken and chicken tenders for happy hour before 6pm. After 6pm they have weekly specials (weekdays only!) If you have a clean bathroom and a clipboard cleaning schedule, it means you care about your customers and cleanliness!!!! Ps. Chicken tender were dry but they fixed it! Amazing staff!!!!
My husband and I stopped here for lunch today before heading to a concert at Forest Hills Stadium. The food was SO good with great portion sizes. We enjoyed the atmosphere even coming in at lunchtime, and the staff were great. We will definitely come here again and recommend it to others.
First time here. Food has large portions for a good price, we had to take “to go “, because two of us could not finish all. We got Kimchi Fries, Crispy chicken Bowl, and Tenders w golden bbq sauce. Everything was yummy. 😋 Server Sonya was so kind , attentive and patient, thank you. ✨Atmosphere is one star lower, just from design perspective. Definitely will be back ☺️
The service here is amazing, the server I had went beyond to make me and my friend comfortable. Made sure we were taken care of and tried her best to accommodate our needs. I love after we make our orders they serve free little bowls of popcorn here, and they’re not plain old popcorn either. They’re very flavorful too. The drinks here are very good and packed with flavor. The chicken wings are the best thing you can order here but I’ve had their noodles before too. I’ve haven’t been disappointed by their menu yet. The quality and taste is definitely there. So crispy, juicy and extremely flavorful. So delicious.
The food was truly amazing! The name 'Mad for Chicken' is apt, as the chicken is so mouthwateringly delicious that it will drive you crazy with cravings to return again and again. The dishes are finger-licking good, and don't let the name fool you - they also offer some delectable some beef options like beef quesadilla for those who prefer it. The environment is pleasant and clean, and while the service could be a tad faster, the friendly server made up for it. Overall, I'd give this place a well-deserved 9.5 out of 10
Have been to their flushing location a few time but the food here is awesome too. Their iconic Korean flavor soy chicken is crispy and juicy, and very fresh. The avocado salad was newly cooked and tastes great. I would also recommend their kimchi fries as it keeps the unique flavor best when dine in. Overall the Mad For Chicken experience at Friday night was awesome.
Food is delicious! But...don't expect to get it on time. I got there at 8:20 (my scheduled pick-up time). I saw bags of food (including what was my food), but after giving my name to the waiter, was told that it wasn't ready. So I stood there and waited. It wasn't until 8:32 that someone came up to me and finally asked if I needed something...so I gave my name again, and they grabbed my food (which was now cold) to me, after it had been sitting there for almost 10 minutes. It's a shame, because the food really is delicious, but it would have been so much better had I gotten a chance to eat it when it was hot and fresh. They did offer me a fresh one, but there's just not enough time in the day to sit there and wait another half hour.
We were super excited when we heard Mad For Chicken opened up a new location in our neighborhood Forest Hills. We finally got a chance to give it a try. We did a delivery order via Ubereats and the process went well and arrived earlier than expected. We had their Parmesan Fries, Crabmeat Salad and Wings & Drumsticks Combo with extra Radish to share with a group of four. The portion was enough with reasonable price. The food was overall decent especially the fried chicken, appetizing with their signature sauce. However, the options were limited on their menu and we hope they will serve more varieties shortly.
We were told our wait time was an hour. Little did we know that it was a game that night. The food was okay (spicy)but I surely did not like my shortly l Shirley Temple drink. The seating were benches so not the most comfortable. It was just a very crowded night, loud ... The game was on.
Having Korean fried chicken in Forest Hills is nice, and this is one of the few places that does it here. The kimchi fries was decent but I thought the kimchi was a bit lackluster. The scallion chicken was a huge portion, much bigger than I expected. It was fried well and was very crispy, but it was a bit dry and became a chore to finish as we got full. Regardless, this spot hit the itch for Korean fried chicken. It gets very busy here on nights and weekends, so make sure you get here before the crowd does!
We've ordered many times and food is always good. The chicken freezes well and we love to have some packed away, for a quick tasty bite. I've also visited the bar and its 'meh'. Yes you can get a drink, yes its drinkable, yes there's some TVs, but there's no personality or bar-feel. It almost feels like you're a bother to be sitting there. I guess I remember places like Uno's where the bar might have a bartender and regulars that made it kind of fun. Anyways, good food, good location. Definitely a good place to meetup with friends, grab a table, some wings and beers!
Korean fried chicken lovers delight. If you're getting chicken drumsticks then it'll take about 30 mins cause it's fried fresh for you and yes it's well worth the wait. We ordered their parmesan fries and crab salad which came first and almost took out the drumsticks without a fight. Delish!! Drumsticks order should be spicy. Yum! Gorgeous wood beamy interior and a nice looking bar. Good service.
Hands down my go-to spot in Forest Hills. This place was not around when i lived in the area, but i was introduced to the spot by a friend. This has now become my favorite place to dine in once a month when i visit the area. My default order is boneless wings with soy garlic sauce and parmesan truffle fries. I have been here about 6 times and the wings are ALWAYS spot on. I have made this the only place i go to for wings in Queens. I was also able to get a drink off-menu and was treated to an amazing Old Fashioned! Unfortunately they seem to be understaffed, and it is noticeable during peak times (such as weekend afternoons/evenings). The parking is also a headache. It is still worth the trip, though!
I would say it was good experience in this place. It’s kind of new place so I decided to give it a try. We ordered chicken wings and decided to try the clam chowder soup. The manager was kind enough to change my soup since it tasted weird when we first got the plate. We also had some chicken wings which were good. Service was good I will see what happens the next time I’m around.
This review is based on the only two items I’ve tried and my thoughts on the atmosphere after visiting for just the first time. First, I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere. It’s nice and clean and the music was great! I tried the avocado salad and truffle fries- both were delicious! I went back a second time for a to-go order and purchased the same exact thing (avocado salad and fries)! During my second visit which was brief (because I was picking up instead of dining in) I noticed that the music selection was just as great as it was the first time, and the place was also indeed still clean! I walked out singing the song that was playing and wish I had time to eat in! Lol… my only problem is the price. Somehow I paid a little more than expected for my orders. Other than that, everything else was fine. I will definitely be visiting again soon.
Spacious interior, was pretty empty when I arrived I was the only guest. Service could be welcoming but they did a good job at being attentive. I enjoyed the chicken bowl, had the spicy soy flavor for the chicken. Was expecting to be told about the happy hr as I did arrive between 3 and 6 but maybe that’s only available at the bar.
This place is consistent but I sometimes feel like the staff could just be more experienced or trained better overall. I do think they're all really sweet and well intentioned employees though and they want to do well; but for example, 3 people at a table usually means 3 settings and 3 menus. We ended up getting our own setting after food had already been served. It's a small thing overall, but it can add up, I'm sure; especially if they're busy. The atmosphere gets a three because of this place isn't busy, it's a very large sort of empty feeling establishment. Long empty tables, etc. Then again, I choose a Sunday night so what exactly was I expecting. The place is clean. The popcorn they offer the tables is a nice touch but SO salty and (possibly because it's dinner when I went) maybe less than freshly popped. You really should come for the wings which are delicious, crispy, and perfectly cooked every time. If you think of this place as a sports bar, I think you're on the right track. Pretty good beer selection. I think a bartender with better cocktail offerings could really breathe life into this place, but that's just me. All gender restrooms are a plus. All in all, if you want the wings, you're coming regardless and it's a good time.
Mad Chicken was a surprisingly quick and enjoyable experience. No wait, and our food arrived in under 10 minutes! The ambiance was great, with plenty of TVs for sports fans. I particularly loved the beer sampler, trying their lager, wheat, and IPA – they have a huge draft selection. We ordered wings, kimchi fries, and japchae. The kimchi fries were a definite winner, and the wings were decent, especially paired with the beer. The japchae was a tad salty for my taste. Overall, I'd definitely return for drinks with friends and enjoy the lively atmosphere.
Just visited Mad for Chicken and tried their mac and cheese and bulgogi over quinoa. The bulgogi was good, but the mac and cheese was a bit overpriced at $12 and wasn't that flavorful. Overall, the food was okay, but the place has a nice atmosphere. I would recommend skipping the mac and cheese and trying something else on the menu. A 3 star experience. This location pales in comparison to its Bayside location. The food here is good, and there's a great Happy Hour. The soju is pretty good and decently priced. That's about all it has going for it. The wait staff is young and inexperienced. Nearly every time I come here, I have to get up and ask for something I ordered that was forgotten. No one refills water. They're not rude, nor are they friendly they just kind of are there. There's not enough seats, but ever since the pandemic, it's pretty easy to get into most non-Manhattan restaurants these days. The vibe is off here, and I think the energy of the people both employed and dining here doesn't match the MFC vibe they aim for. I recommend either wing flavor, japchae and fried rice dishes. Stay away from the sandwiches, they're not as flavorful and you can taste the sodium with each bite. Well priced restaurant.
Wack Below average Uncomfortable seating The females give bad service, the guy with the blonde hair behind the bar was attentive. He had to finish serving me because the two females were completely disconnected with the customers and needs
Pretty much what I was expecting. If you're in the mood for chicken wings this is a solid option. We got both types of chicken wings (traditional & Korean). I do wish the spicy Korean option had a bit more of a kick but they were fried nicely with a nice glaze. For the traditional wings, I wish they came with sauces standardly as it seems a little unjust to have to pay extra for any sauce at baseline (the blue cheese and Ranch really were clutch for these). I ordered ahead and they were ready for pick-up by the allotted time. Prices reasonable for what it is.
Came here for lunch for the classic MFC Korean wings. They were good but didn't come out hot. Slightly warmer than room temp. The nachos I ordered came out hotter than the wings. Go figure. Asked for a coke but that took a long time to come. Waiter seemed to have forgotten and was attending to other things and just chit chatting with other staff. Not a great experience that I have come to expect from MFC since the first one opened. Oh well.
We visited this restaurant, and while we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the experience overall was disappointing. The avocado salad was absolutely delicious, but everything else we ordered was terrible—way too oily. On top of that, we ordered another dish, but the waiter completely forgot about it. It felt like we ate, but at the same time, we didn’t—it was such a strange experience. After that, we didn’t feel like waiting any longer and decided to leave. On a positive note, we appreciate that they were open on December 24
Food was great and atmosphere as well. However, along with our food we ordered 3 drinks and were never received. After the food arrived we were never attended until about half an hour later once we were nearly done with the meal. The food was great, just wish the staff was just as.
I’ve always been going to mad for chicken in flushing. Finally decided to try this one. I must say the boneless chicken were really good and delicious 🤤. My wife had the crab 🦀 salad and was surprised how big it was and delicious. The only down side to this is the no beers or liquor since they haven’t been granted their license yet . Either way still a nice spot and closer then flushing .
Went here today with my best friend and goddaughter. Let me just reiterate what other commenters have said—the food is great, but the service is not. Our waitress was very nonchalant, didn’t check on us, and left us waiting 15–20 minutes just to order. When I asked about appetizers (since she mentioned the mad tenders would take 25 minutes), her response was, “well you already have fries,” with an attitude. We still asked for the menu and ordered vegetarian dumplings, which she said came with soy sauce dipping. After 25 minutes, the only nice workers—the busboys—brought out our food. The tenders and dumplings arrived, but no fries. The drinks took too long, and I had to get up multiple times to flag her down for spoons and refills. Don’t get me wrong—I’m very understanding and patient. But overall, the service was just not up to par, which overshadowed the good food…
We went on a Monday night. Only few customers present. We ordered truffle fries to share then the half and half chicken tenders. The food was good but the tenders took so long to come out that we got full from finishing the fries and just took the tenders to go. Service was not impressive. Our waiter was nice but only showed up to give us the food. Otherwise nowhere to be found
Dont know what happened to MFC but they used to be some of the best wings and stayed crunchy and juicy even after delivery. We recently got delivery for a large party but their wings are now drenched in sauce and the fry on the skin is completely different so it was a huge disappointment. Tasted like wings from a random bar or an applebees. Nothing wrong with that but when you’re paying a premium for Korean fried chicken, you expect to get that quality.
Each time we have ordered take out, the food has been enjoyable and quite late. Order has typically been ready 20-30 minutes past the estimated pickup time. There was one instance where the order was ready on time. Fair enough, they are popular. Last night I used a gift card+credit card on an online order, placed by clicking through their website. When I arrived a few minutes past estimated pickup time, staff told me the order was not received. I told them to cancel the order. (Now unsure if this is even possible as they said they did not receive it.) Staff member was apologetic and took my information to process the refund, told me the refund would appear this morning. It has not. If the refund does not appear by the end of the week, I will attempt a chargeback through my credit card company. As for the gift card balance, I would assume that is lost. As I told staff, I enjoy eating their food. But something is wrong with the take out procedures.
I love this place. I've been here three times, the first two times I've been here. I had an amazing time, the food is really delicious. However, yesterday I was here with some friends and family. I had two servers a male and a female, the male give us an amazing service, but the female server who served us drinks spilled some of the drinks on us. And didn't apologize. Which it didn't seem to be a big deal, but it was very disappointing knowing that I love this place, I wish there was better customer service.
Well, I'm certainly mad. I came in at around 9:45pm to order 10 chicken strips. I left at 10:30pm. I waited 45 minutes for 10 strips. Unacceptable. And to add insult to injury, my order had actually come out earlier, but the hostess didn't bother to check on it until I threatened to get a refund and leave. My chicken was sitting there at the bar, shivering, alone and scared to death. And unfortunately, my chicken was lukewarm when I got it. It's delicious chicken but they gotta get it together.
Food itself was overhyped and bad. Crispy chicken bowl had too much barbecue sauce and little chicken; just 5 tiny pieces that wasn’t crispy and tasted bland. Mac with melted cheese was also bland and was small in portion. However the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. The management should provide them with trays or a trolley to deliver the food because it gets pretty packed. Hope the staff is paid well and rested well because they’re the only good thing about this overhyped place.
Always buying family combo from here. But I place my order around 5pm to pick up at 07:30pm. Still have me to waiting for more than 15 mins. And when I purchased last time(end of Oct) the radishes was missing. Good food, but need pay attention to detail...
First time in this location and it honestly didn’t make me wanna go back there. Took forever to clear a table, after sitting for 5min no menu’s were given so we had to ask unfortunately. The popcorn they give to share for the table was stale. I also didn’t like that they couldn’t give chicken with no sauce. I do like their parmesan truffle fries even though it taste like more Parmesan than truffle. I also didn’t like that their dumplings weren’t individually cooked instead were mixed with vegetable, pork and beef. The service wasn’t great but I’m not sure if it’s cause it was 12am or they were just not on top of their game. I highly doubt I’ll be going back there.
Don't order from them. I'm sure their chicken is normally delicious but we paid full price for half the order, leaving a two year old child and her mother hungry. Their phone number didn't work. Edit: they contacted us the next day and refunded the order which was appropriate. I've updated my rating but I'm going to think twice before I order again.
I came here one night after seeing a movie nearby and I have to say this was probably one of my most disappointing dining experiences in a while. I've had Korean fried chicken at other places and this was just BAD. The chicken was over cooked, dry, & flavorless. The breading was falling off the chicken and had a weird aftertaste that i couldn't understand. They were also REALLY cheap with the sauce. As a chicken wing lover, i couldn't believe there was actually chicken wings i couldn't finish and would never eat again. I didn't even bother touch the chicken legs - they were ENORMOUS & didn't look appetizing in the slightest. Me and my partner barely finished 25% of our food. What a waste of money. If you want Korean fried chicken, just go to Bon Chon in bayside!
First let me say that I am a frequent customer here and up until today had no issues with the service. However, today they made it not one not two but four mistakes (including other people’s food being brought to us twice, and then our food package to go after waiting 45 minutes for it to be brought to the table), but what was the issue was the assistant manager Sofia, who was aggressive and rude. We were lucky enough that a manager came in before we left to help make some of the situation right, and I was given the name of somebody named Tony, who I hope to reach out to during the week, but this one employee was not fit to be in charge of any floor whatsoever.
The food is the only thing that is nice about this place. Every single server sucks. You wait about 20 minutes to get seated when there is no traffic. The servers are rude. There was one gentleman with braids, he was amazing. I forgot his name but I’m not going back so it doesn’t matter. The staff really ruins the place. No matter the time they suck. Nobody has any customer service skills besides the gentleman with the braids. He fixed our bill when our server overcharged us for happy hour drinks. I really wish I got his name.
Our order was taken, we waited over 40 minutes. The waiter disappeared, no follow up, we didn’t even get our drinks, until we called the waiter, asked how much longer we had to wait, and were told: “We didn’t send your order to the kitchen. I can retake to and offer you a 20% discount?”
I placed an order roughly around 6:30pm. I proceeded to wait 10 minutes before making the walk over to the restaurant to grab my food ultimately getting there around 25-30 min after placing my order. Upon arriving, the lady asked my name and said “I’ll bring it right out, should be 3-4 minutes.” I proceeded to wait 45-50 minutes for my food, constantly going back up to the desk asking if this is almost ready and nearly walking out without it. The wait was so egregious that the lady handing me my order assured me she will be submitting a refund for my order and I’ll see it on my card. 2 days later no such action was taken by her. Food really was not good or appetizing, overall this place gets a 1/5 from me.
i met with friends n someone in the area suggested this location which we proceeded to go to we were sat at the back in a corner restaurant was empty but sure whatever we were given menus n water on one of the cups i drank from had a food stuck on the outside n some sort of particles inside such a shame the menu looked really good so we went back on friday afternoon omg they brought out cold stale curry? popcorn that’s random the chicken greasy the menu says 30 min wait time which was fine but it came faster couldn’t tell the flavors apart from sweet n spicy and honey bbq it’s a shame because i love korean food but mad for chicken made me mad i went back oh goodness lychee tini horrible the the lychee as garnish were old and NOT appealing in the least
This location has really fallen off. Came today Tuesday April 9th and I don’t know if they have new kitchen staff or the recipe is different, but the wings were DRY and had almost zero flavor. $40 (after tax & tip) for 20 wings is a lot of money for them to taste that bad. They literally tasted like they were left out and then re-heated, not fresh and crispy on the outside at all. The chicken tasted old & stale. The staff was amazing as usual, but the food not worth the price anymore. For $40 you can find better wings.
Terrible, why provide a phone number if you won’t pick up? I tried to call to edit my order I did via uber eats, they don’t give the option to edit orders online nor do they pick up the phone? Make it make it sense. What if someone is allergic to certain food types. At least try to make it to where you can edit the food orders. I called like 30 times and no pick up.
9/28/2025👎Horrible experience, went with my family, everyone ordered their food and drinks, everyone got their food except me the one that's paying, the waiter never came by to check if everything was ok or anything. MY FOOD NEVER CAME OUT!, & The place was empty, I had to ask for the check, paid my bill with NO TIP! PAY ATTENTION TO THE REAL CUSTOMERS WHO REALLY PAY!
Terrible experience! We ordered chicken wings and a salad. The salad was okay, but the chicken wings were absolutely awful — they cost $30 and were spoiled, smelly, not fresh, and even burnt! The smell was unbearable. We asked them to take the wings back and refund us, but they refused. I strongly warn others not to eat here — the food is not fresh, especially the chicken, and it’s way overpriced!
This place is a joke I call to complain about a order that was sent wrong chicken tenders were sent spicy don't eat spicy ask straight up for a manager this clown guy says he is the manager listens then passes on to another person ask again for a manager says she's not in yet what kind of business runs a place without supervision that why these mistakes happen and everybody does the heck they wanna do so they took my number doubt I'm gonna hear anything don't order for takeout here looks like they have junior high school kids working here. Look at the other negative reviews for this location go to bell and northern blvd locations if you want real good service!!
Hello My name is Vivian!!! Last weekend was my birthday, and we decided to go there. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The kimchi rice was overly greasy and terrible. The young staff seemed indifferent, and the guy with purple hair showed no interest in addressing our complaints. Even the popcorn was awful. We sat at the bar, which was also filthy. I definitely don’t plan on returning to this place.
If I could give zero stars to this place, I would. Was seated immediately due to the fact that it was slow but we were completely ignored by the staff until I stood up to request a manager after we had been sitting for 20 minutes. A male waiter attended to a gentleman to our right that was seated after us and even brought drinks to the table, visiting the table next to us a total of 3 times. The same male waiter gave the table to our right the check and help cleared the table. During these 4 encounters we were completely overlooked. The manager gave a cop-out excuse about there being a shift change and the staff shares tables but nobody even looked our way to see if we were ready to order. Don’t waste your time and money here Edit: after seeing the owner’s response, I made the right choice to get up and leave. We did wait to be seated by a young lady behind the bar as there is a sign stating that fact when you walk in. The manager never offered anything to us specifically to correct the matter. All she stated was that she would give us anything to correct the matter, which is a cop out and automated response. Didn’t even offer to take our order on the spot and have the kitchen expedite it. We weren’t looking for a free meal, we were looking to be attended to, as one usually wants to when they dine in a restaurant. The fact that the owner thinks that a cop out excuse is valid, and wants to find blame in patrons who are willing to spend money at their establishment is disgusting. Past reviews from this location state the same issue with staff which means they are obviously not working on improving their staff since ignoring patrons have been happening for months. You are better off dining at MFC Flushing, their service is way better!
Thieves!!! I ordered and paid for food i NEVER received. I called the store and asked to speak to manager about my order being incomplete. I was told by a worker there was no manager there.Liars.This business STOLE my money!!! Will NEVER order from here again.Stay away!
Being born and raised in Queens I have been going to Mad for Chicken for years. Chimaek is in my blood and I could always trust MFC to satisfy my latenight cravings closing at 11:30. Unfortunately I came here with 6 people and the daily special was refused as it was the day before Thanksgiving Eve…. Very weird, been coming here for years and this never happened. Pelicana’s original chicken looking pretty tasty right about now ifykyk.
(12/17/25) Update: very sad to say this restaurant has jumped the shark. I ordered a 10 piece tenders from them from them yesterday and received 10 tiny pieces of flavorless chicken, 5 of them smaller than my thumb. This has been happening more and more often, but the food I received wasn’t even enough for my 6 year old nephew. Looks like I won’t be a customer anymore. —— (previous review) ——- The restaurant is spacious with a trendy vibe. It could easily accommodate a larger group. They have unique cocktails and a full bar with a few TVs playing sports. The service was good— I like that the waiters weren’t overbearing. We ordered the boneless breasts and they were worth the wait! The batter on them was melt in your mouth good and the chicken was fried perfectly. I suggest trying their frozen lychee drink with Soju. I’ll definitely be back!
Well I order a tteok bokki with cheese and this is what I got. I’ve been eating at this restaurants for the past 5 years at the flushing location and never had a bad experience. I ordered my food from the forest hills and I was in shocked what they send me, I can literally count how many rice cakes where in there, the cheese was just like a little topping. Am still confused don’t know what went wrong. Horrible size serving from this location. I guess I would keep going to my fav one in flushing
Disgusting discriminatory service. I order all the time at least This was my dine in second visit . Host sat my family of three , then proceeded to sit 2 other tables and completely disregarded my family. Everyone that came in after us were given water and popcorn and was even able to order and we sat watching for 30 minutes until we decided to leave . Heart broken to say the least.
I came here yesterday evening, and my experience was nothing short of unpleasant. My server, Angel, was inattentive. The food was amazing tho, even though it took almost and hour to come out. The ambiance of the restaurant is cool, but the servers are too distracted.
I usually like this place and had been here often , but today was unacceptable!!! We literally were waiting with my friends more than 1h to get our food and it was not at busy at all probably like 4-5 tables which is already finished eating … We also ordered almost the same food and to cook it , is no way that it can takes 1.5 h … Also we ordered pitcher of the beer with special deal and we got beer only after we reminded to the waiter and is took him more than 30-40 min to bring it … Service literally 0 today at 8/14 unfortunately:c I’m disappointed and don’t want to come back again Pls fix this guys
My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for Valentine’s Day. While the food was great and the drinks were okay , the waiter didn't pay attention to our bill while processing the payment and charged us for not only our bill but another parties bill as well. How can you be so careless ? After messing up, the host walked around laughing with a smirk on his face. I didn't appreciate it at all. On top of that, our money was never refunded. My boyfriend talked with the manager who said it would be , but as of today, 03-15-2025, there is no refund. We will never diner here again. I visited two other locations and never had a problem.
