Cracker Barrel in Fort Lauderdale generally receives positive reviews, especially for its friendly service (Vanessa, Riley, Karen, Cynthia, Austin, Jessie). Customers enjoy the food, particularly the biscuits, chicken and dumplings, and breakfast options. Some dislike the remodeled interior and report inconsistent food quality and service.
Tip: Consider ordering Thanksgiving meals to go, and check out the country store for sales and unique items.
I truly enjoy going to Cracker Barrel! They have great home-made food, so some seasonal items. And the store is awesome. Found a few gifts for others, & a few for myself.
Arrived and seated in about 10 minutes. Beignets and biscuit as appetizers with butter and jam! We got the Smokey ribs which were delicious! The apple French toast special was not to sweet just wish there were a few more sautéed apples. The grilled chicken has a spicy seasoning with two side options. Unlimited peach iced tea 🥹
Cynthia was absolutely amazing. Customer service has never been better. She was triple sat with large parties and still had time to make eye contact, address me, and ensure me she would be right with me. Well deserved tip! God bless you Cynthia. The food was delicious too!
Food is always fresh and hot! Also very consistent. I enjoy both their breakfast and dinner menus.
Food is great and Ms. Cynthia is always lovely and attentive. She makes my kids feel very special and they enjoy coming to see what new toys and decor the store has. Great selection. Clean tables and updated design makes it nice for breakfast or lunch.
I love their classic chicken.I am so glad when it went from Sunday only to every day of the week.I don't have one near me.So when I am down for procedures in kendall , I stop on the way home
The server was very nice allowed us to get a few small extras without the up charges and it looks like it's a newer one or has been remodeled
Good Old Country American, I adore Cracker Barrel! I enjoy browsing the store while waiting to be seated. It takes some time to get a seat, but once there, you get to enjoy the fresh and tasty meals. The family absolutely loves this place. #Hashbrown Casserole grilled and topped with Colby Cheese, #Hand-rolled Buttermilk Biscuits, #Fried Apples seasoned in cinnamon
Needed a meeting place and with the sale in the shop was a great place to stop - just didn't have enough time to shop it all! Shop helper held our purchases in back until we paid for breakfast! Love the shop and sale prices were great, makes the wait time go quickly! Food was excellent - best pancakes around and server was fantastic!
Best place, especially thanks to the server she’s super friendly and kind! She deserves a raise. Cracker Barrel is lucky to have such a dedicated employee. I believe her name was Azzy ask for her, and she’ll take great care of you.
We were seated immediately, our server was friendly and attentive but didn't hover. Tried the country fried turkey which was amazing!
Excellent service and breakfast. The staff here was so friendly we thought we were actually a part of their family. Our meals were hot and prepared as ordered. We never had to ask for anything our server was on top of everything. Very clean store and restaurant. The store is easily accessible and there is plenty of parking.
The food was exactly what I expected at a cracker barrel, which is good because when you have a craving for some good solid comfort food, there is no better place than a cracker barrel. The restaurant was clean. We did dine late, and you could tell the wait staff was at the end of their shift, but they were still nice and attentive.
One of my favorite good home style comfort food! They have amazing rocking chairs outside to sit as you wait to be called plus a cute store to look around and shop. They also have all kinds of snacks and old school candies. Now the food. Almost everything on the menu is amazing. One of my favorite is the eggs in a basket. There pancakes are to die for and there maple syrup is so good. I always take a few home cause they provide little bottles of them. My boyfriend loves there Sunday homestyle chicken. The chicken is cooked so good and the skin is so good.
I work in the restaurant biz myself. The quality of food was good but nothing to rave about. Most of the servers seemed irritated but out waitress Andrea remained friendly. We had some issues with the food but the manager Veronica walked over to us even though we told the server not to worry. We tried to say don’t worry about it but she insisted she wanted us to enjoy our visit and corrected all of it. As someone in the industry Andrea and Veronica are top notch.
Coming from Long Island we have never been to a Cracker Barrel. We relocated to Florida a year ago and our neighbors suggested we go here because they go all the time and love it. On our way back from the Zoo we all decided to go. I wondered why the sign said Old Country Store and not restaurant. Well I found out as soon as I walked in the door. There is a full size gift shop before you get to the eating area. Tons of great stuff and exclusive items made for CB. After a short wait we were seated right next to a huge fireplace. So many nice decorations on the walls. Our waitress came right over and took our drink order while we looked at the menu. So much to choose from. I had the roast beef and my wife had the meatloaf. Both were fantastic! When we were done we walked around the gift shop again. Definitely going back.
Always one of the best places to eat at any time. Food is the best, service is great and the atmosphere is unique. Will always be back at any of its locations. This time, the sweet potato with brown sugar, walnuts and marshmallow was amazing! Biscuits with butter and jelly were fresh and warm.
Great service and breakfast, will definitely go again. Kristina our waiter was awesome We reserved our spot in line and worked like a charm, especially as I've heard it gets pretty busy on the weekends. We enjoyed the pancakes. I had the casserole and grits and was pleasantly surprised.
I have been to many Cracker Barrels throughout Florida, but this one is definitely the best of them all. The food tastes top notch, really amazing. But the service is definitely top notch, I really want to thank Veola for the excellent service and treatment, it's amazing how a smile and excellent service can brighten your day. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!!
Food, service and atmosphere were amazing! Love the unique stuff they sell at their store when you enter the restaurant. One of the best places to have breakfast with the family!
If your looking for somewhere to go for breakfast, this is the place to be. My family and i have been coming here for awhile, and never get disappointed; we always had such a great time here !! All of the staff were super nice, friendly and very attentive. The environment gives off such a great vibe for any occasion. Overall it always such a great morning! Definitely will be coming back soon..
My experience and 5 star review is mostly for Veronica. My kid was fussing and would not sit. She went retrieved a booster chair strapped into a chair, looked at my little boy in his eyes and said this chair is only king as she winked on me. That settled him down enough for us to be able to get him sat and feed him. She visited us more than once interacting with my son. It simply was a great experience. The server Vanessa was equally attentive. I watched Veronica handle the entire dining room with Grace and a smile on her face.
Located in the Pembroke Falls Business Center along Sheridan Street, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store comes off as an old-fashioned store/restaurant that caters to good old southern food cooking. As I approached the business, I saw these big rocking chairs aligning the front of the building and every one of them was occupied by people waiting to be seated inside the restaurant. Upon entering, I was in the Cracker Barrel store. The hostess told me I had a 15 minute wait so I used that time to wander around the store which was very compact with a large assortment of items such as jam, cookies, toys, candy, mugs, coloring books, candles, clothing, greeting cards, costume jewelry, home décor, and much more. Once a table was available for me, I was greeted by a pleasant server who handed me the menu and took my drink order of a raspberry iced tea. The large restaurant was very packed with plenty of table seating. The walls was embellished with old-fashioned pictures and items that would make Sanford and Son envious. While overlooking the menu, I noticed the variety of food items at very reasonable prices such as: * Breakfast/lunch/dinner specialties * Weekday lunch/daily dinner specials * Salads & sides * Hot & cold beverages * Sandwich & burger platters * Kids menu * Dessert * Seasonal menu When the server returned, he took my order of the Grandma's Sampler, which consisted of two pancakes, eggs (scrambled), one strip of bacon and one sausage patty (I don't like sausage, so I got extra bacon), and hash brown casserole. The food looked really good when it arrived. Here's my take on everything: * Raspberry iced tea - Refreshing and lightly sweet. * Pancakes - For someone who's not big on pancakes, these was delicious! It was light & fluffy and the maple syrup complemented it well. * Eggs, bacon & ham - All items was prepared nicely...had to add a bit of salt and pepper to the eggs for taste and the bacon was crispy. * Hash brown casserole - Was pretty good. The cheese and onions made it very flavorful. It was a satisfying meal. I'll definitely be coming back for much more of that comfort southern food, which may become addicting.
I'd rate this restaurant 10 out of 5 if I can. Its old-American ambience is truly impressive, souvenir shop at its entrance is the greatest, it's ancient cloth-washing equipment is really old but very nice (I thought it a whiskey boiler at first), and all the food and sides are all delicious, even the boiled broccoli has specially nice taste, mashed potato is perfect, and the price is less than it should with all the great experiences at it for the first time. I'll certainly come having something else again and again and again ... only hope that next time it has enough waiters/waitresses.
We loved it. There were some issues with the food but the recovery from Veronica was impressive. She genuinely cared, corrected and revisited us several times even engaging in conversation with my disable son. Veronica is a gem. We watched her give the same attention to everyone . We will definitely be back. I highly recommend you ask for Ebony as your server.
Everything about Cracker Barrel yelled out Good Old Country American! I really enjoyed my time here. They have a very, intricate, and entertaining store upfront. Which has all your favorite goodies. Plus. Some unimagined old folk gifts that you would love to explore while waiting to get seated. Once seated, we had the enjoyment of being served super soft, delicious biscuits that were followed by our entrees. Everything was fresh and delightful. I highly recommend this place for the experience.
Love this place, I have never gone to the ones in Florida but the food is just amazing as well. Totally recommended for a family night. Whatever you order you are going to be satisfied, even the chicken soup was amazing. Service is good, FYI there is a waiting time all the time, is always packed as food is so good and cheap.
Went the other night for my 61st birthday. Had to have my catfish! Everything was great, hot, and came out quick. I even got some chow chow after I explained it to the young man. Was so full but wanted to get my birthday dessert but was told it had to be eaten in the restaurant only. ? I was so full from everything I couldn’t eat but thought maybe later but the young lady at the register Said she would get in trouble if she gave it to go. So I said no worries, but damn. Anyway thanks though the food was great.
This is one of the remodeled restaurants, and my only problem is that it seems too bright. Maybe dim the lights 10-15%. It is a different look, but not a bad look. The booths are nice, and it seemed roomier. I'm a creature of habit, so I did the fried breakfast and it was delicious as always. Server was extremely pleasant, and quick. Kudos!!
Pembroke Pines, FL. Always great biscuits, chicken and dumplings and huge meals. Plus the country store has the best sales. They had a wall of Christmas items on clearance (12/29/2024) and other items at deep discount. I got an Army t-shirt for Steve at 50% off so it was less than eleven dollars! Another reviewer wrote this site took down its Christmas stuff in the store so I asked the cashiers about that. They said they’d had the winter stock out since September and sold most of it by this past week. They still had their holiday lit tree up and a wall of holiday decor. It was cute.
This is a very nice restaurant to go at any time. I love the old fashioned American decor in all their walls. Their menu is quite extensive and I love that they serve breakfast all day. All the food we tried was so delicious. Our server Karen was excellent, very attentive and friendly. As soon as you go inside this restaurant, first thing you see in their gift shop and in the back is their dining area. Their gift shop has a lot of old fashion candy and interesting souvenirs which is worth checking if you got the time. Now, depending on the time you visit, you may encounter a long line/wait to even get to the hostess.
Came here for a late supper with the in-laws and their children. We arrived late but the staff were ever accommodating and tended to our every need. They were extremely understanding and professional, shout out to our server Vanessa! The food was what you would typically expect from a Cracker Barrel, (good). Several of the sides were out due to us being late, but as I said the staff was very accommodating and provide suitable options were possible. It was also the first time I have seen liquor served at a Cracker Barrel, which was very exciting for me as this was something I advocated for on one of my vista to a Cracker Barrel in PA. All in all it was a very relaxed and enjoyable experience.
Proportions have gotten much smaller over the years. The location has spe t money updating g it's interior so a newer nicer feel. Service was great.
Food was good. Not great but good. Large servings and very good and fast service. The steak was average. Fried apples were very good and so were the eggs.
Cracker barrel is always a good spot for some breakfast. On this visit I had a chicken pot pie and it was tasty. The watermelon lemonade was good and it hit the spot on a hot day. I'll be sure to come back soon. The wait was about 25 mins on the fourth of July... so not too bad. The food came out fast enough and I recommend the loaded hash brown bites.
It is a very nice place they have more menu items than before totally worth a visit, the country store is also very nice a little bit on the expensive side but food was good service was ok to only bad thing was the wait but still good place to come and eat with family and friends
Great all around experience after choosing to dine in for breakfast. Waitress tremendously improved her work skills from my prior two l visits.
Ordered the catered Thanksgiving heat and serve meal. Picked it up on time wed afternoon day before Thanksgiving. Pick up instructions were super clear, cater employee very polite.Heat and serve instructions were clear. Everything tasted good except for the cornbread stuffing. It was sour and dried, smelled like sour milk. The gravy on side was watered down and did not look or smell like turkey gravy. Pecan Pie was excellent.
I like Cracker Barrel for breakfast, the lunch and dinner aren’t as good. Breakfast has always been really good, with so many choices. They have some fun named combos like Grandpa’s Country Fried breakfast, Uncle Herschel’s favorite, and Old Timer’s Breakfast. The service is good, with plenty of places to sit, although it gets crowded on the weekends and you may have a wait. They are known for their country gift shops, with treats, candy, and all kinds of interesting Nick nacks. I usually have a custom made omelette, but the blueberry pancakes, turkey bacon, and biscuits are all very good
Haven't been there in while. This my personal opinion. I don't know who suggested getting rid of the atmosphere. But this place is called Cracker Barrell. A country restaurant. You have the comfort food. Now just put back the COMFORT atmosphere..
I am very sad to say this is one of the Cracker Barrel’s that were redesigned after the total catastrophe of the logo change. We went in really just to ignore the changes. I just to get something good to eat. In that case, the food was very disappointing as well. They’re famous hash brown casserole was probably left under the heat lamps for an hour as the entire top and most of the serving we got you could bounce some ping-pong ball off of. The biscuits have gotten smaller and the gravy, well I’d rather use primer paint if you know what I mean. The waitress was very nice and kind and attentive so I did tip her a very reasonable amount as it’s obviously not her fault. If Cracker Barrel were smart, they would go back and restore the restaurant. They screwed up back to the original designs and have a talk with the back of the house staff about the freshness of the food. I rarely give such bad reviews, but I had a friend from out of the country that I wanted to show standard Americana food and I had to apologize that this was not it.
This eatery has been around for quite a while. It combines olde country style home cooking with a general store for unique and not so unique shopping. Both are worth the visit. Friendly service in both areas. Prices are competitive. Food is good. Adequate free parking. Entrance a little crowded so wheelchair access might be a challenge. Rewards program may worthwhile for some people. Some specialty menu items are worth coming back to try. Outside checkers and rocking chairs. What's not to like. P.S. The Cracker Barrel logo is just fine the way it is.
Our server, Jessie, was amazing and so friendly and professional. He went above and beyond at all times. The food was alright, but definitely NOT reminiscent of the old Cracker Barrel. I missed that I couldn't get vinegar for my greens and the gravy on my chicken fried steak was pretty congealed like it had sat out. But overall the experience was pretty good
Another visit to Cracker Barrel confirms why it is our preferred place for old-style American breakfast. To my surprise, the American coffee tasted absolutely fantastic, and of course, our eggs, pancakes, sausage, and meat were delicious. We adhere to a low-carbohydrate diet, however, as his occasion was noteworthy, we indulged in a single pancake serving. There are many options for us if we were fully low-carb all the time.
Our visit to Cracker Barrel was, for lack for a better description, BITTER/SWEET, in that order lol. Soooo, being that it's a Sunday afternoon, we expected a wait, but we didn't know the wait would be an hour. Ok, no problem...we'll just enjoy the infamous rocking chairs, take in the outside scenery, browse through their store, and wait. **BITTER TIME** An hour or so later, or table is ready, or so we thought. We're seated at a table, but unbeknownst to us, the other diners that's seated as well, and apparently the host, these tables are closed. 15mins goes by, no server. Two surrounding tables starts to complain because they have been waiting for a server 20mins longer than us. Instantly, one of the tables request the manager. After another 10mins go by Manager Eric approaches the 20min wait table, apologetically explaining that the table was closed but he'll get someone over asap. Now, being that we're sitting "right next to" the 20min wait table we asked was our table closed as well and will the same server be helping us, Manager Eric's attitude instantly changed telling us that they were short staffed, busy, do not have enough servers, and that we just have to bare with them (mind you, he's saying all of this while his hands are up in the air as if he's frustrated with us questioning him). Now, I do not play the race card, but ummmm, Manager Eric's total attitude change from one table to the next, was quit obvious 🤔. **SWEET TIME** Our server, Anthony, who obviously was pulled from another section, came over and took our drink and lunch orders. Anthony was so patient, attentive, nice, and pleasant. And even though the place had diners coming in and out, Anthony did such a great job. THANKS ANTHONY, YOU WERE THE BEST!!!!! Oh, and the food was good as well.
I attended Cracker Barrel on March 3, 2019. I was informed the wait time was 50 minutes, however it was closer to two hours before we were seated, this after calling ahead to be added to the list. The food itself came out within twenty minutes, which was pretty normal. The food was warm, could have been a bit warmer for my liking, but overall satisfactory. It appears that maybe if you show up after 1pm, the wait time may be less.
It was nice to see that the sign is still the same with the old man and the barrel. As far as the food, it depends where the Cracker Barrel is located. We had breakfast and the coffee was watered down, and the Coca-Cola was also watered down. The pancakes were undercooked and did not have the usual taste. I asked for well scrambled eggs and I did not get that. I don’t understand why it is so difficult to understand the concept. The rest of the breakfast was OK which consisted of hashbrowns bacon and sausage. I have had other breakfast and other Cracker Barrels in other locations and it’s been much better The new decor kind of lost is original feel of the old country store as it supposed be. I must say that with off-white painted walls, it does look brighter in there, but again it lost its original character. I also don’t care for the booths , it just doesn’t have the same feel. I think Cracker Barrel needs to work really hard on keeping the food taste in quality consistent all its restaurants. The store part of it still wonderful as it always been.
Why 3 Stars you might be wondering. Here is my story: I 've been coming to this place for 11 years now. Everybody knows food quality here is excellent for a breakfast/brunch option However, this time we got hit with a regular (typical) 1hr wait time. At this place there is also a store where you can shop for almost any item -specially sugared ones-. As you walk in you most get your name to the hostess. Our ETE (Estimates Time to Eat) was 1hr., 1.2mins later and after asking why so long we sat down. As you can imagine food still was awesome however, our server was new to the system. And that's when things got soured, our server went MIA (Missing In Action) and parts of the order where missing. I walked to the manager Lina. And told her about the episode. Things got better from that point on. But, here is the thing. Why do we come to these places unless it is not to cook at home, or travelling or to be served, and pay for a rendered service. All that I am asking today. To the Corporate management of this location: You guys need to revise your audio system (can not hear when called out), how about some digital boards so we know who is next. Our second host "Don" did a great job taking the hit on multiple people asking something that should be posted on a digital board to eliminate pressure and put guess an ease. So, buttomline: Get updated on public announcing/serving systems. Train well your new recruits and remember Food here is one of a kind.
As far as the food is concerned, this cracker barrel is on par. As for the service, our waitress, Cheryl left alot to be desired. What concerned me most was the overhead lighting that was considerably noticeable but ignored by the manager who stood out in the dining room several times during our time there. Now, back to the food. If management is oblivious to what I see as a potential lawsuit, it worrys me about their concern for the food.
We were here on Saturday, early afternoon and the restaurant was very crowded. We realized that the reason the restaurant was so crowded was because multiple cruise ships had returned to the Miami port this morning. Everyone has to be off the ships by 9:30, so folks didn't have time to eat breakfast and we all showed up at the Cracker Barrel at the same time.🙄
The experience wasn't good this time. My husband and I ordered meat lofts, mashed potatoes, corn and coleslaw. Also requested the gravy on the side. We waited for the gravy and corn for so long, that we were able to ask for help to other 2 ladies than Camilla, our server. Long story short, when we got those 2 things the meat was so cold like frozen. We got the check to pay without being asked if we wanted desserts or something else. I spoke about this situation to the lady at the register; she gave us a discount. We thank her for that, but the point is to improve the whole experience along with the customer service, not loose money. To our server, we hope you learn from this experience.
Everyone knows that Cracker Barrel has good ole country cooking that is phenomenal no matter what you choose to order at any given time. Now this particular location is run poorly by restaurant manager Lina whom should be managing staff in a much more productive manner... Granted there were a few staff members that stood out but i assure you it was because of who these individuals are from the core but the rest of the staff either wasn't trained accordingly or aren't being supervised properly. Either case we waited for over an hour and server didn't bring us some of the things we had ordered and by the time we got up to find him we were practically done. Suffice to say we won't be back to this location. Service leaves alot to be desired.
The employees were very friendly. Restaurant/store very clean and organized well. The food? Not good. I think maybe we got ours after they ran out of things and it didn't have time to get cooked well. Carrots and green beans had Zero seasoning and were all hard like they just came out of the can. Cornbread? See pic...Biscuits weren't bad. Grilled chicken was good. Hashbrown casserole was good if you didn't eat the top part as it was crunchy/not edible. Will def try again during earlier hours. I know/understand how this place runs so I don't hold it against the employees.
I went yesterday to have breakfast with my daughter and I ended up having lunch our waiter Maria super slow every time we ask something about the menu and it seems like she didn’t know anything about the menu she was lost. I feel that if they put someone on the floor, they should at least have a sense of what they sell and the time was incredibly long. I don’t understand what was going on yesterday but definitely a bad experience. I will definitely go back because I’ve gone in the past and never experienced something like yesterday.
So, I was visiting the area and thought that I would go to a place that typically has good down home food. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. I ordered chicken fried chicken and got the steak instead. Which resembles something hockey players would use on the ice. The casserole, which they are known for, was hard, and tasteless. But what got me was the loaded baked potato that I ordered. It had half cooked bacon chunks and cheese. That’s it. No butter, no sour cream…. So, NOT loaded. The kids burger was on a stale bun but was ok. Hopefully this was just an off time. The restaurant was packed and when trying to check out; there were 3 cashiers and a long line because we’re struggling to handle the flow. I am extremely happy that I found the instructions for paying my bill online so I could skip that wait. Unfortunately, that line deterred us from buying anything from the store
Cracker Barrel has changed and not for the better. I haven't visited Cracker Barrel in a year or so and I won't be going back. Prices are jacked up considerably since my last visit. I ordered the sausage and egg casserole for $17. Two eggs, hash browns, ground up sausage that had no discernable taste with a bunch of other ingredients piled into a bowl. Hardly a casserole, but rather breakfast food piled in a bowl and not baked like a normal casserole. Added charges for items such as apple butter and regular hash browns instead of the hash brown casserole that is served with most of the breakfast meals. Clearly Cracker Barrel has new management along with a new menu that no longer included normal has browns. I feel bad for the servers who have to take orders and constantly explain the revamped menu with the added charges. Our server was nice, but unfortunately the hostess/host most not like her as three tables were seated in her area with five minutes of each other. One of the tables was a large party of about 12 people, a four top, and my family of four. Service suffered as a result. Anyway, not going back to Cracker Barrel.
Service was poor. First, the server forgot to bring us cutlery, and later also forgot the bacon we ordered until we reminded them. One of the dishes was on a 1-for-1 promotion, yet we were charged for two. When I went back to request a price adjustment, the cashier’s first response was, “Since you’ve already paid, there’s nothing I can do.” Thankfully, the manager standing nearby stepped in and processed the refund. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I will not be returning.
Cracker Barrel use to be my favorite restaurant but getting decent service at this location is like pulling teeth. Basic requests like more butter or a beverage refill is nearly impossible and it makes the whole dining experience stressful rather than relaxing. The last time we went my table didn’t even have napkins for nearly half the dining experience and we had to resort to wiping our hands on our clothes. The worst part was the servers attitude. They were rude throughout the whole dining experience making it seem like everything we asked for was a huge burden on them. I understand there are a lot of rude patrons that go into restaurants but we are pretty easy going people who tip well so it is not cool that we have to bear the brunt of the servers job experience. The food is great but the dining experiences is not worth it.
We're locals and patrons for many Cracker Barrels around the country when we travel. This experience/location was disappointing on many levels. Was there Sunday (08/10) at 9:00am. Place was not not packed. Food took too long to come out with other tables around us waiting longer than ours. No biscuits ever delivered? Bacon with all entrees was burnt/black. Kitchen ran out of my entree and substituted something else with out any notice to me or our server. Server was nice but not attentive and never checked back unless I stopped her. While paying our bill lady asked me "how everything was". I told her and she did nothing nor said anything further? Men's restroom was disgusting/filthy with over flowing trash and piss on the floor.
I normally love coming to Cracker Barrel for their Momma's Pancake special. The manager came to the table to ask how service was which was nice. The bathroom was clean and smelled really nice. The pancakes were made just like I like them with pecans and hot and fresh. The eggs were a little warm but the bacon taste like they were sitting out for a while and was microwaved. I asked the waitress for another batch of bacon and it was the same thing. I ate my pancakes, a few bites of eggs and drunk my coffee. Better luck with service next time.
Very underwhelming😔 This was one of my favorite places to eat as a kid but the food is blah now. V Biscuits are hard, grits are hard un salted amd cheese not melted, the eggs were alright 🍳, turnips no salt, ham and steak dry amd chewy. The only good thing on the menu is thhe cheese hashbrowns. For the horrible quality they are wayyyy overpriced. You can get the same nasty food at dennys for half the price 🤑 The store is still a good shop wvwn with the reduction of old fashioned goodies. Oh well spent most of the dinner outside eating malted milk balls and rocking in the chairs since the food was so bad.
I have been a Cracker Barrel lover for decades. Whether at my home town or when traveling, Cracker Barrel and its breakfast hash brown casserole has been a favorite. Not anymore. They stopped serving real potatoes, now their hash brown casserole taste like seasoned shredded cardboard. After questioning workers and speaking with other customers while waiting to pay, apparently maybe for cost cutting measures, they decided to change this very popular dish and now using awful dehydrated shredded potatoes look alike. TERRIBLE CHANGE! I and many others that have complained will no longer choose Cracker Barrel for breakfast.
Been going to this Cracker Barrel for years and unfortunately, they always seem to have issues with the kitchen and it was no exception on August 3 slow service poor quality , reduced portion sizes, increased prices country charm sanitized with the new modern interior.I can’t see going back to this location again it’s not worth it. You can get a much better breakfast elsewhere. Also if you want milk for your coffee and not those ridiculous creamers, they’re gonna charge you for a full carton of milk like they did us. $65.28 was what it cost for breakfast for two ridiculously expensive for the subpar quality and service.
By far the worst expierance my husband and I have ever had at Cracker Barrel. While it was rush hour, we waited a whole 10 minutes before we were greeted by put server James E. He took our orders fine and then went along his way he continued to serve tables around us and did not give us our drinks which was simply orange juice and coffee. By the time we got out drinks was actually after our food came out 😲. We waited the entire time without water or any beverage and thats not all, they brought my husband order incorrect and did not bring a side dish he requested. Unfortunately it doesn't end there, we only had 1 napkin for both of us the entire time, after asking another associate for a to go box and more napkins, I was compeltly ignored and forced to get up by the kitchen to get them simply because James decided to ignore our table simply because we were unhappy we didn't get proper service. Any resturant provides beverages prior to the meal and the fact the tables around us were being serviced appropriately simply confirmed there's no excuse. We are simply not happy with this new Cracker Barrel and its really ashame such a fine establishment has downgraded where your better off going to another establishment such as Dennys or Waffle House.
I was loving this place especially because of winter/Holliday feelings (when you live in Miami and missing this season). Today is Dec 18 / 2024. I brought my family and friends to show them this well cozy holiday place, BUT they took everything away 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. Now it’s just a regular eatery… like ihop or Denny’s . (Even Pancake House has better Christmas spirit inside). Very disappointed 😞
Our experience yesterday at Cracker Barrel in Pembroke Pines Fl was bitter. It was a turnoff walked in the dining area and see that it was remodeled like a Chili's or Outback restaurants. The old Country coziness Restaurant charm has gone. Too dark. You don't feel that vintage atmosphere anymore. Food was ok. Portions are smaller. Wait time was too long. Server service was excellent but will not visit the place anymore.
Terrible service, must st be the location. Second time here, and the service was the same. The food was good, but our orders were incorrect and had to be corrected by another waiter who came to our table to complement my husband's hair. We didn't get our bread and the drinks came with the food. I chalked the first visit up to them being busy, but I can see it's a consistent thing for people like myself. Our server had no problem serving other tables around us as she avoided eye contact so I couldn't get her attention as she proceeded to avoid coming to our table. I didn't feel welcomed. Hope you have a better experience than me. My waitress name was Heather.
So happy to get seated so fast. But was not acknowledged for at least 15 minutes. Ordered appetizer and also placed order for breakfast. Waited forever for food. Given partial food while others waited long for their food. Never got appetizer before our food was served. Canceled the appetizer. Server never came to see if we got it. Server barely came to our table to see if all was ok. Food was not cold & not good. The sausage patty was hard, dry & tasteless. Hash brown casserole was not cooked completely. Portion of food was very small for how expensive it was. Will never go back. Very disappointed.
Cracker Barrel has changed so much. That being said we still enjoy breakfast here. It does seem like there is different management. We all missed being greeted and attended by the manager Veronica. it’s great to be greeted like and treated like family, which was not the case at today’s visit. Having a manager visit your table with such a bright smile and so much attention is a big part of why we go and are willing to wait
I’ve never had such a disappointing experience at a Cracker Barrel until this visit. We were seated at 2:30pm, and it took so long for anyone to acknowledge our table that the manager, Connie, actually had to step in and take our order. About 20 minutes later, a server finally came by with our drinks. He had visible hickeys all over his neck, which already didn’t give the most professional impression, and then asked if we were ready to order. We told him that Connie had already taken care of it. We sat and waited patiently, but time kept passing with no updates, no food, and no sense of urgency from the staff. By 3:40pm, over an hour after being seated, we still hadn’t received our meals. At that point, we decided to leave. It’s unacceptable to wait that long, especially when the restaurant wasn’t even busy. There was simply no excuse for such poor service. When we spoke to Connie again before leaving, she seemed surprised that our order had never been brought out. However, the only resolution offered was to comp our drinks, which hardly makes up for wasting over an hour of our time with nothing to show for it. To make matters worse, we weren’t the only ones having problems. As we sat waiting, we overheard multiple tables around us complaining as well. One guest even asked to be moved because her table was covered in ants. It was clear that management and staff were struggling across the board, and it made the whole atmosphere uncomfortable. It’s very unfortunate, because this location is the only Cracker Barrel nearby, and we had been looking forward to our meal. But after this experience, we won’t be coming back. The combination of unprofessional service, lack of communication, and general disorganization made this visit completely unacceptable. Cracker Barrel usually prides itself on good food and hospitality, but this location fell far short of that standard.
Extremely disappointing experience at this location. As a regular Cracker Barrel customer who visits other locations without issue, this was unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. Multiple system failures: • App wouldn’t work (demanded non-existent update) • Inventory systems disconnected (website showed items as available when they weren’t) • Called for phone order, told to use app, app failed, redirected to website Poor service recovery: • Roast beef “ran out” after I’d already ordered and paid online • Manager only offered a drink as compensation for the major inconvenience • Final order was wrong - manager removed entire meal instead of replacing as discussed SERIOUS FOOD SAFETY ISSUE: Found a green bean in my fried apples container when I didn’t order any green beans. This suggests cross-contamination problems that could be dangerous for people with allergies. In addition, the sides were served cold. Bottom line: This location has operational and food safety issues that other Cracker Barrel locations don’t have. The combination of technical failures, inventory problems, inflexible management support, and cross-contamination makes this unacceptable. I’ll stick to other locations. Management needs to address these systematic problems immediately. Second visit to this location, definitely my last!
A Total Disappointment at Cracker Barrel Pembroke Pines Today, my partner and I visited this Cracker Barrel, and unfortunately, it was the worst experience we’ve ever had at any location—and we’ve dined at many Cracker Barrels across the country. From the beginning, everything went downhill: • The bread was raw, literally undercooked. • One of the side dishes arrived at the end of the meal, long after everything else. • My meat was completely burnt and overcooked, so I had to send it back. • My husband had to eat his food cold while waiting for my plate to be redone. • I spent more time waiting than actually eating. . They only put one paper napkin per person . The salt shaker's hygiene was the worst: the salt didn't come out. The only positive aspect was our waitress. She was genuinely kind, apologetic, and did her best to handle the situation with grace. It was clear she felt bad about what was happening. It’s truly disappointing that the kitchen’s quality fell so far below the brand’s usual standards. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously—no customer should have to go through such a poor dining experience. It was one of my favorite restaurants and I definitely wouldn't go back.
Terrible terrible terrible. I have been to the location in Orlando and it has been great every time we go. Avoid this location at all times. They called on the wait time they had provided which is good, the server came and brought the drinks. After that, everything went downhill. 30 mins to get some tots and 1 hour to get 2 simple breakfasts. The presentation is just awful and the pancakes looked and tasted like cardboard. No napkins and the server would ask if we needed something and before he could finish asking, he would be walking again. Never again.

I popped into the Cracker Barrel here in Fort Lauderdale recently, and let me tell you, it’s a bit of a mixed bag, but mostly in a good way. If you haven't been in a while, you'll notice some significant changes. This particular location has undergone a remodel, and it certainly has a newer, brighter feel to the interior. Some folks really appreciate the updated look, finding the booths nice and the dining area feeling roomier. However, a couple of long-time patrons mentioned missing some of
