What a nice surprise!! In town for work, and placed a to go order. The amount of food got the cost was impressive to say the least. The service was really friendly as well. The smell of the food was intoxicating and the flavor all I hoped for! Very happy I made this choice.

Though I do not live in California anymore, I just wanted to review this place because I used to come here for years with my parents. Cindy is one of the most hospitable people I have ever met in the restaurant industry. The food is excellent, well cooked and served rather quickly. The waiters are kind and we went so often that they memorized our orders LOL. I love to get Chinese and because of this, I have eaten at many places. Happy Garden has always and will always be my favorite. I hope to one day go back there and see them again!

Yum yum yummy!! Good takeout stays nice and hot until your you get where you're going to eat. The staff is always friendly nice I never feel like I'm bothering them. Makes me happy to eat that Happy garden.

Hubby and I give it a solid B and would order from them again. - BBQ pork chow mein: I judge a Chinese restaurant based on their chow mein and Happy Garden's was really good! It wasn't dry, it was flavorful, and tasty. They also packed the container full! - Kung pao chicken: Also really good and flavorful, but there were more water chestnuts than chicken - Eggplant in hot garlic sauce: Good, but way too oily - Salt and pepper pork chops: WAY too salty. wouldn't order this again.

I ordered online , the food was horrendous. I ordered egg rolls they were tasteless and only had cabbage with some block specks (hope it wasn’t bugs). The orange chicken tasted like barf with hot wing sauce on it . The pork chow mein was the only edible thing in my order and it was bland and greasy.

Overpriced and disappointing. The egg rolls were basically just cabbage drowned in black pepper. Service was unpleasant—they kept hounding for a tip, pointing at the receipt, even though another family member was already leaving cash. No refills offered at all. Definitely not worth the money or hassle.

Picking up was a hassle for no reason. Informed greeter I was there for a pick up and items ordered. Mind you this was the only order waiting to be picked up. Was denied my food for about 15 minutes because my name is not the display name on my Gmail account. Showed my notification from restaurant stating my order is ready and my invoice showing total and ordered items sent from Google in my email but still was not wanting to give me my order because I couldn't show her my order through the door dash app which is not even installed on my phone. Even went as far as showing her my transaction history of the amount taken out from the restaurant from my PayPal account and despite this was not given my order. Had to speak to a manager to finally receive this food that was not even as good as it is hyped up to be in the reviews I've read. Rice was not very flavorful and only contained 2 pieces of shrimp on it. Chow mein was a little better but also only contained 2 shrimp. Paid $15 for each but was given only enough to have 1 serving for 2 people. Will not be coming back ever and definitively would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I just cannot understand why there is NO options for one person to order by themselves, for dinner... I ordered Pork Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, and S&S Chicken. When I got home, the containers were soft, FRESH OUT THE MICROWAVE. The chicken was soggy and peeled, indicative that it was at least a day old and left in the fridge overnight. Not to mention, the orange chicken and sweet and sour sauce tasted like a mix of oven cleaner and toilet cleaner. I was less than 50% into my plate and threw all the food into the garbage. By far, the least quality Chinese food I’ve ever tried. Some people are only in the business for the money. If you want diarrhea, just go to Taco Bell or McDonald’s. At least you can’t taste the chemicals as much at fast food restaurants.

They used to be good but the new bald guy doesn't listen to you. Gave me that yucky soup that I didn't want and if you get the cashew chicken - you may only get 1 cashew, which I asked for more. It's going down hill fast

I just cannot understand why there is NO options for one person to order by themselves, for dinner... I don't want to order an entire plate of fried rice, or chal mein, as well as a protein to go with it. That's over 40 bucks by myself, closer to 50, and way to much food...
