iTea in Fremont receives mixed reviews. Customers love the popcorn chicken and various drinks, especially taro and avocado smoothies. However, some report issues with order accuracy, long wait times, inconsistent food quality compared to other locations, and overly sweet drinks.

Opinions de iTea Fremont
Drinks were great and just what we asked for. The popcorn chicken was pretty good too. Only thing was when we had ordered two and asked for no garlic and to make both extra spicy only one of them followed the requests, the other was just a regular order. Still not a major issue, very nice experience otherwise.
This has the best Passion Fruit Green Tea EVER!! It's perfectly acidic and sweet, and the drink doesn't lose it's fruity flavor unlike many other places. It's also really cheap for what you get, a large size with boba and passion jelly (which I rarely find anywhere) for under 5 dollars.
Best milk tea I've had in Fremont so far. They have a pretty decent selection of drinks, including caffeine free options. Kiwi fruit tea is absolutely delicious! Fast and friendly service, although it might get a little bit crowded on the weekend. There's plenty of parking there as well.
Great Milk Tea, food is hit or miss. I don't like the popcorn chicken here, but the egg puffs are good. Also they have a happy hour after 9pm, most items are around a dollar cheaper.
This is my favorite boba place in Fremont. It has a variety of drinks and options you can get and I will say it's on the inexpensive side compared to other boba places. I usually get passion fruit green tea with no boba, no sugar and no ice since I don't like my drinks sweet. There are some seasonal drinks such as super fruit tea or the ones that include strawberries or watermelons. The waiting time can be pretty random as they're sometimes very busy on weekdays and there are less people during the weekends. Overall, this has been my top choice to get boba.
Always love I-Tea. We love their heated rice dishes especially the seafood one. Plus the popcorn chicken and our Taro and Avocado smoothies with boba 🍜🍤🍱🍥

Just your normal boba shop. I ordered a milk tea with grass jelly and it tasted great. They play some catchy Chinese songs too!
the drinks are good, they have the best passion fruit. But the service sucks because they don’t accommodate you at the register, and the kiosk does not let you make certain changes. I’m pretty sure one of the baristas hates my guts and she’s always rude when you ask her something. However, it’s cheap so I can deal with her. There is a new guy who is nice though.
Some of the staff ate inexperienced but they are constantly hiring. Gets quite busy on Friday. It's your general boba place with quite a variety of selection of tea and juice. Happy hour is from 8:30 PM to closing (11:00 PM I think) Mon-Thu and 9:00 to closing Fri-Sun. Some items don't get happy hour discounts. Favourite drink is 3G, Mango Sago, Sencha, Okinawa. Panda is a runner second tier favourite.
This locations seems to have more snacks than other locations we have visited. And as always, they have great selection of drins and snacks.

Great and easy to park at location. Staff is friendly and very helpful. They use automated kiosks to make the purchasing process more efficient. Plenty of seating although mornings on Saturday when I typically go at opening time the place is never full. Order delivery is a bit slow even if I am the second to order, so do not expect to get in and out too expediently! When we did order food it was good but not exceptional.
This place is my favorite but plleassseeee, my goodness PLEASE remember that some drinks come with boba. I’ve had to get a DoorDash refund at least 7 times now.

I ordered a brown sugar boba latte with 80% sugar and it was unbearably sweet and so heavy that I can only drink 1/3 of it. Left it in the fridge over night and saw small clumps of fat floating in the milk, it looks like cream or butter. When I heat it up there’s a thick layer of butter/oil on top. While the taste is good I do not want heavy cream or butter in my milk tea, only milk, that’s what milk tea is supposed to stand for.
In the competitive boba tea market, iTea probably sits in the top 5 spots in the area, but with four solid choices ahead. The store could be more organized and customer service friendly. It's usually busy here and some times hard to figure out if you're placing an order on the self-service kiosk or being called to the register so pay attention. The popcorn chicken and other snacks are tasty and when dinning in was an option was a fun thing to do at the location.
I-TEA has a great quality tea. There new self service kiosk is NOT user friendly. I can't pay by cash , can't swipe gift card (non chip) , no help from counter. It automatically charges me to get a topping . Poor Kiosk and slow service
50% is way too sweet, couldn’t taste the oolong tea flavor. There is no milk or tea, it’s powder & sweetener. Before i always come to this location, it seems they always switch employees, it doesn’t taste the same before. All their drinks are amazing sweet regardless being 30,50,80,or 100% sweetness level.
The best boba in Fremont but horrible food hahaha. I know I shouldn't have expected much. For those who are not familiar with this specific Chinese spice, don't order "mixed noodle -spicy flavor." It's sooo weird taste doesn't feel like edible. We stopped eating after a few bites. The ramen is edible but not good at all. The fried bite sized chicken was good! The boba was always good.
There was little meat on my dish compared to i-Tea Milpitas and prices were the same. The boba tea nothing to be wow about, it was ok.

They don’t offer WiFi password to customers. I asked the employee, one of them said he knows they have WiFi but he doesn’t know the password. I asked is there any other employees know password for the shop’s WiFi, he said he don’t think so without hesitation. If the shop doesn’t want to offer WiFi, why not say directly they don’t offer it rather than waste time to let customers to look for and ask for it, and to get a strange answer? This kind of service makes me feel uncomfortable.
Well, I have a problem with the ordering kiosk here at this place. People looked up at the menu posted and still looks thru the ordering screen like they’re baffled and confused. The WORST part is about the tipping section at the end of the ordering process. They based the tips on the net price of your order, which means I’m tipping on top of the TAXED amount! Here’s the funny part: the employees there says they don’t get any gratuities generated from the kiosks, and I don’t understand why would you tip another 1.13 for a drink that’s already 7 bucks??? DISHONEST PRACTICE, so the Owner should have a “skip” button attached to the tip section so we can avoid any unpleasantries and proceed with the orders more quickly.
The boba isn’t as good as many other local places but isn’t terrible, just mid.

This place has really gone downhill. They still have no indoor seating long after other restaurants have welcomed customers back indoors. Worse, their staff always seems exhausted and service is always just so... Slow. Even when no one is in the shop, it takes at least 15 minutes to get your order. If you are lucky, and just gets longer the more people are there.
As I sit here waiting for my order, they are playing the explicit version of Best I Ever Had by Drake. Definitely not appropriate for kids.
Was in the area and got the taro milk tea, definitely not worth 5.25. Tasted a bit bland compared to others. Staff was alright. Definitely won't be coming back. From what I can tell, seems like Lollicup has more flavor in their drinks than iTea, and costs less.
The last 2 times I had to wait for more than 30 minutes. First time, they had the door open and accepted my kiosk order before they really opened. Now, they accepted my online order, never sent a message that it's ready and never called me, but my tea was standing there warming up.
Boba is not sweet. Milk tea is just above average and okinawa pudding comes with egg which is just ok. Chicken popcorn is not juicy and quantity is very less. if you eat popcorn right away, it might be fine or else it’s waste of money.
The problem here is not the quality of the food or drinks. It's the MANAGEMENT. I'm sure those of you that comes here are aware of the loyalty program that checks you in and you receive the 10th drink free. But they stop checking people after 8pm in because of "Happy Hour" that has some price breaks on lesser popular items. I have never benefited from HAPPY HOUR and I usually come after 8pm, if they can't check people in then they shouldn't be running that program. No other Boba places operate on this platform, and it's an irritating thing to deal with especially when the employees can't really give an plausible excuse or reason to this practice. Thumbs down 👎 on this i-Tea
Food and drinks are very good, but disappointed because I found plastic in my popcorn chicken….

The service here is slow. The drinks take a while to get ready, and if you order snacks be prepared to wait at least 30 mins for the order regardless of how busy it is inside. The quality is decent but the wait time for the order ruins the experience. I do come back for the popcorn chicken and the egg tofu but I'm always disappointed with the wait time. Maybe it's better to order ahead of time, not sure but make sure you're not in any rush of you're ordering from here.
This place is a mess. I ordered Popcorn chicken and my order was given to someone else while I was waiting for my order. They don't have a proper notification protocol and so your order could be taken by someone else. They remade my order quickly to make up for their mistake but the quality was very very bad.
Good drink options, including some not easily found at other boba places, like matcha pudding. Tabletops are a bit aged and dirty. Restroom is decent. They do have WiFi but not for customers. Overall average place, but the lack of WiFi is a big miss. I won’t be coming back.

I would give zero stars if at all possible. Replaced a well known and decent Boba place. This new very commercial place "I tea" is terrible. The full staff is high school students that have absolutely no idea what they're doing. The one item I used to order is literally the only item not on their menu. I still decided to give them a chance, they got my order wrong then they charged me for the wrong item and had to reprocess my refund with 4 different staff members and gave me like 6 reciepts. And their manager was in some lazy t-shirt. DO NOT GO HERE. AWFUL.
This location has poor customer service and runs out of milk tea an hour before they close. Atmosphere is a bunch of people that made the mistake of going here. You will wait extremely long for your drink. They called out drinks extremely out of numerical order.
We visited this establishment today 04/12/24 at approximately 2:30 pm. If I could give this place a zero I would without any remorse. They were extremely backed up on others with numerous people waiting in the dining area. I saw two employees enter to join the staff behind the counter and immediately a couple of F-bombs were dropped. I saw numerous cups dropped on the floor from the preparation side. One of the employees picked them up and looked at them. Another employee said just wash them and that is what occurred. A syrup top fell to the floor and it was picked up and placed on the container without being washed. After approximately 20 minutes we received our drinks. The fruit drinks barely had any fruit and my roasted oolong tea was horrible and wound up in the garbage. This establishment deserves a visit from the health department and I would not recommend this business.
I bought a creme brulee milk tea, but the staff sealed it after torching it. How are you supposed to enjoy the torched creme brulee with the plastic seal on top? It ruins the brulee cream! The staff didn’t seem to care about the customer and was rude, even slamming the drink in front of me after tearing off the seal badly.
The tea is way too watered down and the boba does not taste very good. The employees do not care about providing good service; it is pretty evident they just work there for the wage it provides. They forget to ask you for the sugar and ice levels almost every time, or they simply ignore the label and make the drink with 100% for both. In addition, they look annoyed to remake a drink for you which is pathetic considering it is part of their job to ensure the customer is satisfied. Not only that, it's pretty much never busy here so it's even more ironic how the service is terrible. This location in particular is awful, but if you wish to try out iTea the one in Newark is better.
Literally waited 30 minutes for two simple bubble tea orders, ordering it in store. They said they got a big order when I checked in after 20 minutes but I know for a fact we had our order put in before that. Two people who ordered after us got theirs way before us. Horrible service. Don't go here.
Always under staffed why can’t you have more staff ?
If I can give this location a zero, I would. Waited in line for about 30 min just to order. Location was dirty. While waiting they kept getting their costumers orders wrong, and had to go back second time to change their orders. They mess up on your order so be aware. Also their calamari was unseasoned and had no flavor.
So much breading and so little chicken in the popcorn chicken it was such a disappointment. Gave it the benefit of the doubt from other reviews since the other stores were okay. The San Leandro on has fat juicy popcorn chicken and they fill it to over the rim of the box. Was gonna give 3 star because at least the fries were good, but my wife said it better be good since it was 8 bucks for the curly fries since it was same price for the popcorn chicken. If you in the bay area and like popcorn chicken then I would suggest San Leandro itea, then Alameda itea as a second.
My drink order got lost somewhere and I waited an extra 30 minutes until I asked the eta on it and then by the time I got it I already missed 1/4 of the movie I was going to go to after I had already gone there early to make time to get tea. But there were a lot of people which ok I will give some leniency but the drink I got had MUSHY at least DAY OLD clumpy sago 😭😭
If I can put negative rating, I’ll do it. I ordered 5 drinks total. Out of those 5, I got 2 tofu hua at this store, 1 large and 1 regular size. When I received my order, they’re both on the same cup. I told the cashier that I paid extra for large size on 1 of them. She saw and she said she’ll place it in a different container but they’re out of their usual large container but they are using this new container that’s large. I said ok. I watched how they poured my drink to their supposedly large container and it is exactly the same size as their regular. I voiced out my complaint and they just poured a drop of the almond milk just to say they added something. I told them “really?! Ipaid extra for a large size with a difference of a drop of almond milk?” the cashier made no comment at all. There’s not even enough red bean nor tofu in the drink. I have been going to itea but I don’t think I will go back again after this kind of service. It’s not worth to pay $10.75 for this kind of drink. Very poor customer service.
Service n the d to improve. They dont have option to take out ice on thai milk tea. Its kind of worst experience. Waited in the line for nearly 15 min for the order and for the actual drink 🍹 waited another 15 min. Its waste of time.
They were so inflexible and so rude with my order. It was our first time here and the gal was just rude beyond belief when I asked a question about adjusting my tea and if the adjustment can’t happen then if I could swap…but NOPE. We’ve been to boba places all over the world and even with a language barrier (I.e Vietnam and Thailand) they were friendlier and accommodating. I did notice the smiles and service with the other customers- maybe this place just doesn’t like South Asians…just East Asians…maybe they are sick and tired of all the “tech” folks…I don’t know…Oh, and the tea is bland and lacks flavor. Try your luck anywhere else.
Placed order at DoorDash for delivery. I order earl grey milk tea. At first, l was not really enjoying this, I tasted the milk being sour. I opened the cover and found this cockroach floated on my milk tea🥲🥲🥲

The music is incredibly loud ill start there. The people making the drinks look very unprofessional and yes its a boba place but their hair is all over the place and they lack cleanliness.
