Their pizza is the best around this area! It doesn’t help that I work 5 mins away from this location and have been here 2 days in a row 😂 I’m assuming this is the owner, but Dill is so nice and he even remembered me from yesterday. I appreciate it when owners/employees remember customers who come often. It makes me feel that they take pride in their business and make the effort to show their appreciation for their customers. I am of course going to be coming here more often to satisfy my pizza cravings and I’m not ashamed to say I am glad I’m on a first name basis with the owner after two days!

The staff are polite and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. I especially love their veggie pizza — so flavorful! Great value for the price too. Will definitely keep coming back.”

Just moved to Fremont not too long ago & had been looking for a good place to eat, that wouldn’t break the bank. Straw hat has been such a great spot! They’re always so kind & the environment there is super chill. Quality of the pizza is fantastic! They know me as their regular now haha. 5 stars

Pizza price is on the higher side, but it tastes great and ingredients are fresh. They have special deals for lunch, would definitely recommend a visit during lunch hours.

Got a lunch special. $15.99 for a can of soda and a small 2 topping. The pizza was decent. I got mushroom and black olives. I have to say I liked the crispy crust but the sauce was a bit too heavy for my liking. Took a bit of time to come out but I guess that's because they had 4 pizzas to make. It's touted as California style pizza so being from the East Coast maybe it's just a change. Ate there with 3 other people and we all said it was "ok". So neither good nor bad. Kind of a smaller place. Bathroom was "out of order" according to the sign. I thought it might be related to the anime but was disappointed it wasn't lol

Be careful when paying with a card. They automatically assume a surcharge of 3.85 % on there and automatically charge a tip of 20%. I typically don’t like paying large tips when all I did was pick up a pizza. The specialty pizza was very small and lackluster and was 34 bucks. I’m a big fan of pizza but i will never come back here again.

I actually enjoy the food in the past, so I hoped a different team would mean a different experience. I brought a guest with me, hoping for a nice meal since the shop was empty when we arrived. I was wrong. When we walked in, the place was deserted. There were no other customers, which should have meant immediate service. Instead, we stood there in an empty restaurant for a solid 5~10 minutes. No staff. No greeting. Nothing. I stood there wondering if the employee was just in the restroom, but nobody ever showed up. I even recorded a video of the empty shop because it was so unbelievable. It was incredibly embarrassing to have brought a guest to a place that literally wouldn't serve us. We finally gave up and walked out. As we were getting into our car, someone (possibly the owner or an employee) finally appeared—walking out of a different shop nearby. They asked if I "needed something." When I told them we were leaving to go elsewhere, they simply said, "Ok." There was no apology. No "Sorry, I stepped away for a moment." No attempt to keep us as customers. Just complete indifference. It is now clear to me that this isn't just a problem with one location; this entire pizza chain is poorly managed. To leave a shop unattended while you hang out next door is unprofessional. To offer zero apology when you lose a customer is arrogance. I am done with this chain forever. Save yourself the time and go somewhere that actually wants your business.
