We visited the location in Modesto and fell in love. We tried this one near home and once again were very pleased. The prices were very reasonable and the pancakes were mouth watering! My husband got the chicken and waffles and the chicken was juicy, tender and had great flavor. The customer service was excellent!

I loved this restaurant. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great theme. Most restaurants don't have a theme. Southern and Cajun. My wife is from New Orleans. She loved it too. The food was, of course, wonderful. Great home made muffin. They even have Beignet's. The staff were very attentive. Everybody took care of all patrons. The inside decor was exceptional. Very homey. Prices were $$. They have a sign "You gonna luv dis this place.". And you will.

We went to Huckleberry’s for breakfast and the line was pretty long — about a 30+ minute wait to be seated. After that, it took close to 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The food itself was great, the coffee was just okay, but the strawberry lemonade was excellent.

As a southern girl visiting California, this place is hilarious. They say Cajun more times than I can count on their menus but a sweet tea comes with sugar on the rim like a margarita. The beignets have a vanilla filling in em like a donut and the bacon is about as thin as a piece of paper. The design is amusing though and the service is great.

It was our first time I really enjoyed mine. My husband wasn't too keen on his because his potatoes were cold. I told him to send it back, but you never really want to send things back because you're concerned about what would happen to the food as you hear horror stories, beignets were yummy and so was the lemonade

Came here for lunch with the family. Staff were attentive and we got our food quickly. I got eggs Benedict last time I came here. To be honest I wasn't a fan. But I got the stacked chicken waffle this time around and the food was 100% better. The waffle itself is just average but what really makes this dish is the fried chicken strips in it. It is pretty good, crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. Their seasoned French fries were also really good. I almost got stabbed by a fork trying to snag one off of my daughter's plate. Huckleberry's redeemed itself. Now if they just served sweet tea and rounded out their menu by adding grilled or steamed veggies this would 100% become my goto brunch place.

Sadly today was not a good day for this visit. Next table had lots of problems with their food. Waitress did not listen when asked for my muffin to be put in a container. I had to ask and she plopped it on the table for me to do. She made ordering for our baby's oatmeal difficult and confusing. Left us with a mess of plates on our table and had to ask her to clear them. Took forever to bring our check even though she could see we were finished and I had to ask for it at the cashier. Loved this place in the past and VERY disappointed with this visit

This was our first time eating here.. The service was fast, friendly, our server did switch out and was not too attentive they didn't really check up on us much or ask how was everything or offer any suggestions or more coffee, when we we're ready to leave they took forever to bring check.The food was okay, I ordered Mardi gras beignets some were still doughy inside and the flavor was plain, I didn't like them. I also ordered Riverboat omelet which was fulfilling and good 👍, with the country potatoes they didn't have flavor to them, I didn't really enjoy those much even after adding salt & pepper they were mushy. Hubby got a side of ham with hash browns and French toast he enjoyed his food and was pleased with what he got. We did both got sick afterwards not sure if it was the food but most likely it was.We both got nauseous and stomach aches, the ruins and vomiting for the rest of the day, and that was the only thing we ate. Not sure if will ever go back.

Huckleberry’s is definitely a step up from Denny’s. But just one step. The environment was cool very swampy vibe inside which was cool. We waited about 20 minutes to get seated. For a starter we had fried green tomatoes which were just ok and I ended up ordering chicken and waffles which were just ok as well, the wife ordered the crab cake Benedict and she enjoyed it. Over all our experience was good. The staff was friendly and parking was good.

Walked into huckleberry, the hostess showed us our table. We picked our drinks and we picked our food and waited for a server to come back. We've seen other people be seated and no one came to take our order about ten minutes have passed and my wife decided to eat at Denny's. There are a lot more people here. And I got served a lot faster.

Incredibly disappointing breakfast. When we'd want to go out for breakfast I'd be the first to suggest Huckleberry's, but now we won't be back. On the positive side, employees were welcoming, and the wait to be seated wasn't long. The server was okay at first. Our food was taking an unusually long time to come out so we inquired about it. A little later it came out but we were given odd excuses for the delay. The food was a mess. Eggs with no color that looked like they were cooked in a microwave. One of us had eggs that looked like they'd at least been partially cooked on the grill, but the texture was odd, like the eggs had been mixed with something. The ham, which used to be so good, was gristly. The butter on the waffles wasn't melted and part of the inside was doughy. As soon as the country potatoes were delivered you could tell they weren't right - mushy as if they'd also been partially cooked in a microwave. The peppers and onions on the potatoes had no caramelization. The GM gave us $5 off our bill for food that was largely uneaten. That was an expensive meal that left a couple of us still hungry since so much of the food was inedible. They could've made it right, but chose not to, and consequently have lost longtime customers in the process.

Worst restaurant to go for breakfast , including the hostess are so un Trainee D and we came to check in and she told us the wait it was 15 to 20 minutes , And then we found out, after checking the emails inside, that half the tables were occupied and half were empty, and we noticed there were only two waiters. This business has been going downhill for a long time. The owner used to be there serving customers, but now he's never there. It's clear they don't care about the business; it's declined drastically. Honestly, they should just close it down. Zero stars.

I ordered the chicken fried steak with red potatoes. My potatoes are undercooked, not fork tender at all. Also, the breading for the country fried steak is raw. You can taste the uncooked flour. Will not be ordering this food again. I can't even eat this.

Came to this place because of the reviews we read but I was very disappointed. The atmosphere inside is nice. The waitress was nice but never once asked us if we wanted a refill. Never got a refill on any drinks. The food took a very long time to come after we placed our order. We almost got up and left because it took so long but we were very hungry. That being said the food was not great. Average at most. Four out of five plates were cold. One was undercooked. Would have sent it back but as I stated we were very hungry do just ate it cold. This was our first time trying this place but will also be our last. Do t know if they had an off day but did not live up to some of the reviews in my opinion.
