Toledito's Mexican Restaurant

I'm not sure if I ever would have stopped just driving by but some co-workers recommended the restaurant and the food was incredible. I'm feeling pretty safe saying that I think most everything on the menu would be good, but that day they had ribs cooked in salsa as a special and they were incredibly good!

Good service, chips and salsa were on point. Enchilada sauce was some of the best I've had with I properly cooked tortilla along with it. Tasty rice and beans. Dont bother with the burrito that comes with the combination plate though, it's just a meat filled tortilla and the tortilla does not taste homemade but the shredded beef was good.

Holy Toledito's!!! This place is a must try for lunch. Service is good for the most part. You can expect to spend about 45 minutes to an hour here but the chips and salsa definitely help the time go by hahaha! The food will prove to be well worth the wait. Hot and fresh and great price, it's a real treat.

I love the atmosphere, it's small and cozy with good food. Wait staff is friendly and they make you feel at home. Food is delicious and the churro donut is a must try. I've had mole enchiladas twice, bistec con Papas & menudo. Very tasty and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone.

Me and my husband had lunch there today, it was our first time there. Reasonably priced combo plates, and the soup was delicious, the waitress was very nice and the food was well seasoned. We will be back

My husband and I went here for lunch for the first time, I ordered the meatball soup and sopas, both of which I’ve never had before. My sopas plate had three sopas rice and beans and it was so much food I couldn’t finish it, but Boy was it soooo delicious!!!! The meatball soup was outstanding. I’m already craving more! We will definitely be coming here regularly. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful as well.

One of the best hidden gems in regards to Mexican food. I Recommend the chilaquiles menudo and costillas. It's clean and staff is very friendly. We've been coming here for over 20 years!

Oh the food was delicious, as always! They keep their place clean. They are affordable and the server is so nice. I definitely will continue to go there.

It was very good but side portions could have been more than what was the plate..mole enchiladas were yummy..granddaughter got the seafood soup and we we're teasing her that she was eating Sebastian from The Little Mermaid..😁

The food is good. The breakfast burritos are delicious and fairly priced. The staff have always been very helpful.

Very clean great authentic delicious flavorful food. waitress Maria gets to know you recognize you after awhile and remembers what you ordered. Small but that's what makes this little restaurant great in their food services you will not be disappointed.

The food can take a little time to get to you depending on how busy they are, but the provided seasoned chips and salsa will keep your stomach entertained in the meantime.

Toledito's is definitely a must try in the Fresno area. Since this is a traditional Mexican restaurant, I only recommended eating the traditional dishes that are offered here. I've been here a total of three times. Two of those times I had burritos and enchiladas. The burritos are mouthwatering and the enchiladas are also great. The tostadas were subpar. I rice and beans here is also very good.

Being affiliated with the original Toledo's here in the Fresno area means this place has great food. Just like mom used to make if not better. The location is very convenient as well. Much needed in this area. But unlike the other Toledo locations where the service is a 10 the service here is more like a 7 or 8. Maybe 9 at it's best. Leaving room for improvement. My last thought is the availability of the items on their menu. As good as their food is it seems difficult to get what I order off the menu. Last time for example I wanted the abondigas. They didn't have it. Second time that happened. Today I wanted chicken mole which is a blessing to even be able to get at any restaurant seeing as how many Mexican restaurants rarely offer it. I ordered it today here at Toledito's. Only for my waitress to tell me they didn't have enough for a chicken mole plate which includes beans & rice. She said they only had enough for chicken mole enchilada plates. I accepted the suggestion and took the enchiladas which were great. So great I put her to the test. After dining in I ordered 2 more enchilada plates to go. Just to see how much they had. Yes my wife & I ate them all. Very Delicious. I'm a little perplexed in that I'm almost certain they had enough to throw together the mole plate I originally ordered. In short. We love this place and just like their other locations we will always go back. My only wish is that they serve the items that they offer on their menu. And maybe even extend their hours at this location. Please note that my opinion is only at this location here on Van Ness. My opinion at the other Toledo locations is that they are a perfect 10. I'm confident that this location is striving to catch up to the standard the other location have achieved. Striving only because it is still new and getting the hang of things.

I ordered a wet burrito. The burrito was very skinny barely anything inside and paid almost $13 not even cheese on top smh but I gave 2 stars because the flavors are very good. I just wish the burrito had way more. Especially for $13.

Food was good, but salsa needs some work. I prefer the Paco de gallo. Their salsa was made with can tomatoes. Just lacked flavor. Service was a little slow, but only one server and she tried her best. Could of been an off day. She waa kind.

Great food just not very good customer service today. I called in an order and asked for side of beans and rice . Came home to just rice . I called back the restaurant and the lady said they only serve rice or beans separately. I don’t understand that if I called on the phone and placed an order specifically for beans and rice and the lady confirmed Oder and did not tell that they only serve rice and bean on the side separately til I call back !!

Sorry to have to say, it wasn't all that good for me. Most all meat choices are mixed with vegetables. You have no choice about it. I'm not a big vegetable lover. So I couldn't enjoy my favorite Chili Verde Burrito. But if you're into veggies mixed with your food, then you will like this place to eat. The service is ok. Not the best. The waitress seemed a little cold. No smiles. Maybe the waitress didn't like me because I was too picky about the food they served. But that's no excuse to treat me any different. Oh well I won't be going back anytime soon.

Just went and paid 15$ for a plate I didn't eat! First off people should really understand you don't know what someones day is like. I come in hungry at about 11am to grab some food and do some paperwork. Well, first off the waitress is really short with me from the moment I walk in the door. I didn't care I just wanted to eat. When she comes over to take my order again, she's short and trying to walk away as I'm speaking. I had to call her to tell her I didn't want certain toppings because that's how quickly she walked away from me. Mind you there's maybe 2 to 3 people in there (not busy) So I attempted to order to shredded beef enchiladas and she brought me out some shrimp burrito and she said that's what I said I ordered at this point with her attitude. I said I would pay for it and leave. I definitely don't want someone like that making my food. So I go in and pay 15$ for attitude! And I gave her nothing but respect calling her ma'am, making sure to say thank you and please and still she was rude and made it quite clear I was not welcomed!
