There's not enough to day say how good Tupelo Honey is a a restaurant and their staff. They even have a pet menu which is amazing. We enjoyed our visit and as always will definitely be back.
I attended a beautiful Yelp event in their private room. Our server was awesome & did his best managing a large party while informing us about the history of the Uncle Nearest whiskey pairings. I’d go back for sure.
I enjoyed our visit here!! I give it a 5/5 however, be aware if you’re a true southerner the Mac & cheese may not be your thing. HOWEVER, our waiter was the sweetest! And I appreciate her being honest and accommodating!! Moving on, we couldn’t stop ordering the biscuits! So good especially with the honey they make/ have here !!! Mhm mhm mhm! Chicken & waffles! A must grab! My husband had the spicy chicken & waffle while I had the regular!
Katy as a hostess gave me a warm welcome and allowed me to choose even booth where i wanted to seat at. Jessica was our super waitstaff, friendly and attentive. She offered great service💯food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Location is great and restaurant is beautiful.
We decided to check out this restaurant on a Saturday during lunchtime and waited only 5 minutes to be seated, which was nice. The waitress was very friendly and asked if we had been to the restaurant before. We asked her what dishes she would recommend. We ordered the fried chicken and the Tupelo shrimp and grits. Both dishes were really nice; they had a nice flavor, and the portion size was great. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor seating area, which is nice, especially in the cooler months when you can enjoy your meal outside.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen is an absolute gem! The food is a perfect balance of authentic Southern comfort and creative flavors that keep you coming back for more. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—the fried chicken was crispy perfection, the sides were seasoned just right, and the biscuits were melt-in-your-mouth good. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a modern Southern charm that makes it perfect for everything from brunch with friends to a cozy dinner out. Our server was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. What really stood out was how every detail made the experience feel special, from the cocktails to the desserts. Austin was terrific! If you’re looking for a place that delivers both incredible food and genuine Southern hospitality, Tupelo Honey is the spot. Highly recommended!
Randomly walked in to Tupelo Honey for lunch to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was extremely nice and accommodating. Even helped us with ordering by giving his suggestions, and he did NOT steer us wrong! We got the fried chicken, the collard greens, and shrimp and grits to share… and it was ABSOLUTELY Phenomenal.. Everything was seasoned to perfection!! And our mojitos were absolutely delicious!! 10/10 recommend this place.
After being disappointed in the food quality and service at The Common Table (restaurant across the street that’s mainly only good for the vibes and DJ), my husband and I were determined to have a good meal on the last day of our staycation in north Dallas. I knew Tupelo wouldn’t let us down, and they didn’t. We made a quick reservation while at Common Table and then we scurried on across the street. This was the weekend of the cheer competition so it was a little busy, but by the time we were sat, everything had calmed down. We had a great server and he knew the menu like the back of his hand. I indulged in the sweet potato pancake which had instantly became a favorite of mine. My husband loves the chicken. I also got a mocktail which had honey and ginger, I believe. I’ve been to this location and the Las Colinas-Irving one and neither has let me down. I also love their rewards program. They send me coupons all the time. This location is much bigger than the Irving one, and they also have a nice patio.
Fantastic brunch spot! Hubby and I met a friend here when we were in town. Loved the shopping/eating area! The service was great and the food was even better. I also ordered a side of biscuits but they forgot to bring them which is in my best interest lol! Great spot for brunch! The grits are the absolute best! Must visit.

While visit in Texas to stop by Tupelo for brunch. The day was beautiful. The staff was great. Location was nice a little bit crowded for parking. Prices were decent. Food and drinks were great. It’s nice little strip with different priority. Restaurants. Very family friendly
We first tried Tupelo Honey in Greenville, SC one summer and loved it, so I was really excited to see there’s one in Frisco. We were seated quickly, though the hostess didn’t acknowledge us until we came up to the stand. Our server was friendly, but service + food time was a little slow. We ordered the Biscuits for a Cause, and the blueberry and peach jam were so good. My husband had the chicken and waffles and really enjoyed it. I had the smothered chicken, which came with two generous sized pieces of chicken, it was good and I liked the gravy, but one piece of chicken was a bit dry and hard to cut into. The goat cheese grits were also really good—creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Overall, it was a good experience with tasty food, but the service could use a bit of improvement. If you visit, definitely try their banana pudding—it’s absolutely delicious.
Tupelo Honey delivers an excellent take on Southern comfort food with an elevated, modern flair. I ordered the Original Fried Chicken with fried okra, and the chicken was absolutely on point — crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The okra was good, but in a restaurant that proudly represents Southern cooking, I would personally love to see fresh, hand-battered okra rather than frozen, pre-breaded. A small detail, but one that would truly take it to the next level. That said, they’ve clearly mastered the Southern dining experience — warm, inviting, and done with care. A huge shout-out to my server Macey— she was delightful, incredibly attentive, and brought such a positive, welcoming energy to the table. Her beautiful smile lights up the room, and her service was truly top-tier! Overall, a fantastic spot that I’ll happily return to.

Food presentation is amazing!!! But one thing is that it did take a bit to come on out. Our server was being held hostage by another guest, wouldn’t stop talking to her so i’m sure that also played a role into getting our food sooner. Good looks on the food, but I did not enjoy the cold bread on my sandwich. Would’ve really appreciated a piping hot bread and chicken. Great seating area and environment, but not a fan of the food.
The server was outstanding and very attentive. I selected the honey dust fried chicken with the roasted potatoes. The chicken wasn't anything spectacular or different from any other restaurant. The roasted potatoes were crunchy like crackers. The flight of old fashion didn't have liquor in them.
This place was whatever. Service wasn't great, to the point where we wondered if servers were high. Not saying they were, but we considered it because they were just too chill, lol. Not a bad thing, just annoying when you're hungry. Ordered a couple of coffees, and when we asked the lady for some creamer (twice) she came back with a pack of sweetener. Hence the speculation. Then, our appetizers came out about 5min before our plates and silverware arrived, which we had to ask for. Luckily, we didn't need them for the fried pickles, but everything else just sat there untouched meanwhile. All good after that. The food was ok. It looked great but fell flat. I had the chicken and waffles, which was nothing special. The fried pickles were great, thin and crispy chips. The brussel sprouts were great. Fried green tomatoes were bleh. This place was recommended by a friend who had just gone the day before, so i had an expectation that it just didn't hit.

I must say I was quite disappointed by my recent visit to this establishment, especially considering how good it used to be in the past. My experience this time, on 10/26/2025, actually left me feeling frustrated due to how slow the service was. The portions also seemed to be smaller. I definitely think there's room for improvement.
Date of Visit: June 2, 2025 My husband and I came here for a date night. When we first arrived, I was a little concerned because the restaurant wasn’t very busy, which made me hesitant—but since it was a special night out, I decided to go with the flow. The interior is absolutely beautiful. The decor and ambiance are modern, clean, and very welcoming. It definitely has a nice atmosphere for a night out. We were seated fairly quickly and waited about 3–4 minutes before our server (I believe her name was Shelly or Shelby?) came by. She didn’t smile upon greeting us, which I noticed right away, but she was still polite and professional throughout our service. We started with the fried pickles, which were exactly that—fried pickles. Nothing special, but also nothing wrong with them either. Pretty standard. For our entrées, I ordered the Asheville Hot Chicken & Ranch Melt, and my husband got the Sweet & Spicy Chicken and Waffles. He really enjoyed his meal and said he’d order it again. Now, about my sandwich—I truly hate to say this, but it was hands down the worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I couldn’t taste anything. No flavor, no seasoning, not even salt. It was so strange that I had my husband try it too, just to make sure I wasn’t imagining it. He agreed—no flavor whatsoever. It honestly left me confused and disappointed, especially given how promising the menu and setting were. While I loved the environment, something about the food just felt… off. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but flavor was seriously lacking, at least for my dish. Overall, I’d give the atmosphere a solid 9/10, the service a 7/10, but the food—unfortunately—was a letdown.

I used to really enjoy Tupelo Honey Cafe in Frisco, but unfortunately something has changed over time—and not for the better. This place once had an outstanding menu with genuinely great food, especially brunch. The removal of the eggs Benedict alone was a huge letdown, but several other solid options disappeared as well. What’s left barely qualifies as “brunch” anymore; the menu feels so stripped down that the word itself almost shouldn’t be used. My most recent experience sealed the deal. I ordered takeout and chose the bourbon peppercorn glazed meatloaf with two sides. Everything—meatloaf, potatoes, and Brussels sprouts—was dumped into a single container. The heavy bourbon peppercorn glaze soaked into the sides, turning what should have been distinct flavors into a $20 mess. It honestly makes no sense why the sauce wouldn’t be separated, or at the very least why the sides wouldn’t be packaged on their own. Another disappointment: they used to serve crackling potatoes, which were incredible. Now they’ve been replaced with fried cubed potatoes that taste like something straight out of a frozen fast-food bag. It’s a clear downgrade in quality. With how expensive dining out has become, experiences like this just aren’t acceptable anymore. Sadly, Tupelo Honey Cafe is no longer worth the price, and I won’t be returning.
I’ve been a loyal customer at Tupelo Honey for over 5 years, dining in or ordering takeout around 50 times. Unfortunately, my recent experience has convinced me not to return. I ordered the Classic Chicken & Waffles for pickup, something my wife and I have enjoyed here many times. The photo online (and what we’ve always received) shows two pieces of dark meat chicken. Instead, we got a single bland chicken breast. No mention of a recipe change was made on the website or menu. When I called to clarify, I waited on hold for 8 minutes after being told it would be “brief.” The employee’s response was dismissive—“oh yeah, we changed the recipe”—and when I pointed out the menu was misleading, he simply said he’d “be sure to tell someone.” I asked to speak to a manager but was told they were too busy and might call me back tomorrow. This is a perfect example of how restaurants lose loyal customers: lowering quality, removing transparency, and showing no accountability in customer service. Sadly, Tupelo Honey has lost us as regulars.
