The food was really good; I sampled some Piedmontese specialties that left me satisfied. I had both hot and cold appetizers. For the first course, the agnolotti with butter and sage. For the second course, the Piedmontese-style fritto misto. For dessert, a caramel panna cotta and a coffee with amaro. The meal was accompanied by a Ruby red wine. The restaurant has a terrace with a magnificent view. The staff were friendly, kind, polite, and quick in their service.

My partner and I came here to celebrate my birthday, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The place is decorated in a 1990s-style, very welcoming, and well-maintained. As soon as we arrived, a very kind and helpful waitress came to our table and served us throughout the evening. We began dinner with a selection of appetizers, both hot and cold, all very tasty and flavorful, so much so that we asked for seconds every now and then. For starters, we ordered agnolotti with ragù, which were very flavorful, and for main course, a typical Piedmontese fried dish: it was the first time I'd tried it and I was pleasantly surprised. Water and red wine were served, and to round things off, we ordered dessert (I had a tiramisu, my partner a bunet), both very good, accompanied by coffee and a bitter liqueur. We truly had a pleasant evening, we felt pampered, and we went home with full bellies and happy. Highly recommended, we'll be back soon. P.S.: All the dishes were homemade, which makes them even more delicious.

Dinner for two. A restaurant located in the hills at the entrance to the Monferrato region. We were seated at a table near a large window overlooking the Po Valley, with views of the Po River and the first flooded rice fields. We had the option of choosing the menu, choosing individual dishes or a complete menu. We opted for the Gran Menù, complete with all appetizers (5 cold and 3 hot), a first course, a second course, dessert, and coffee. All washed down with a bottle (or rather, two) of Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese. What can I say? First and foremost, the friendliness and excellent welcome we received from the wait staff, who spared no effort all evening, moving from table to table and apologizing if too much time passed between appetizers. Anyway, let's start with the appetizers, authentic and fresh flavors and aromas. The veal with tuna sauce was excellent, and you could definitely taste the homemade sauce because it was very delicate and not too acidic. The same goes for the tongue in salsa verde, with its homemade and very flavorful salsa verde (or bagnetto). We continue with the rest of the appetizers, arriving at the first course: agnolotti with ragù, delicious and delicate, and just as the waitress who looked after us had predicted... for the second course, we're full, so we opt for a Piedmontese-style fritto misto, a truly delicate and not at all heavy fry. (It's a shame that a gentleman behind us ordered the fritto misto but didn't eat it, thinking it was a mixed fried fish dish... in Piedmont... in the hills... in a restaurant serving typical Piedmontese cuisine, and oh well...) Mixed fried fish with apple, banana, amaretto, semolina, sausage, liver, brains, and breaded steak. Ending the evening... completely satisfied with our palate, determined to return. Congratulations indeed. And as for the price, I must say it was fair.

Really a nice place! They bring you lots of Piedmontese appetizers: Vitello tonnato, mixed cold cuts, peppers in bagna cauda, ​​tomini etc. Instead, as for the first and second courses, they give you a choice of three. I personally ate tagliatelle alla boscaiola as a first course, I was expecting mushrooms but they are made differently with various herbs, I must say they are good anyway. For the second course, an excellent Piedmontese mixed fried dish consisting of the classic amaretto, semolina, breaded slice, liver, brain, apple and pear. Really great price!

I really enjoyed having lunch Da Mario. The location is simple yet with a great view on the plain. Service is efficient. Food is good, wine is excellent. Prices are simply amazing.
