In this rainless and fogless autumn, Watson and I decide to carry out our last (until the next) gastronomic investigation in Galliate where Osteria 50 has its home, unseen during our last culinary forays; the name is justified by the fact that the raw materials of the dishes, always seasonal, come from places located within 50 km from Galliate. For the first time I take advantage of the online booking that is available both on the Google mybusiness card and on the website. So at 7:30 pm we go to the center of Galliate and discover a very trendy place that winks at the environment, starting from the furnishings as well as the preparation of the table where the placemats are discs made from hotel trunks. The atmosphere of the place is warm; the staff, multi-ethnic, is courteous and prepared and looks after us with great attention without being intrusive. The menu includes for each dish 3 choices of land and one of sea; in addition, some courses defined as "classic" are listed. We draw more from the latter perhaps because the seasonal menu is not yet suited to an autumn that is only seasonal on the calendar. So we choose a potato and mortadella flan on parmesan fondue and chopped walnuts as an appetizer, followed by the "Buoni dentro": ravioli filled with ragù on a bed of béchamel and parmesan wafer as a first course and we conclude with a beef tartare with caramelized onions, capers and yogurt sauce. For dessert, from a list where the desserts are one better than the other, but a sorbet is missing, we choose a simple fior di latte ice cream and chocolate crumble. With a coffee, a bottle of water and a 2020 Bramaterra Anzivino, we spend about €120 for two with a discount due to online booking. In short, an excellent place for both a romantic dinner and a business dinner as well as a reunion with friends, welcoming and refined (the bathroom is small, but very clean); the staff is delicious, attentive and empathetic. A few small, very personal notes (for someone else they could be positives!): the ravioli should be cooked a bit more and I missed a sorbet or at least a lemon ice cream; in addition, the coffee (Vergnano) is too intense for my palate, used to much sweeter blends. In any case, a place not to be missed.

The owners are top-notch: he's a classic Milanese, you'll immediately notice him with his attentive gaze as soon as you enter, she's empathetic and friendly. Finally, a girl serving with a smile. The menu is so good that my husband and I would have tried everything, a great chef, everything perfect. If you're looking for the right location, I'd remove the curtains in the dining room, but that's just my personal preference. Everything was clean, even the bathroom! Congratulations, I highly recommend it, we'll definitely be back! Ale from Milan! P.S.: The Autunno appetizer is worthy of a Michelin-starred chef, brilliant!

We'll definitely be back because it was truly a great experience. The food is simple, yet has refined aromas and flavors. Every detail is taken care of, even in its presentation. The portions are just right, so they don't weigh you down after the meal. The preparation and kindness of the staff are commendable. From the explanation of the restaurant's name (50) to the descriptions of the dishes. The menu is simple, with just a few dishes, allowing the kitchen to prepare them exceptionally well. The price is average.

I'd been eyeing this place for a while; Women's Day was a great excuse to book! I really appreciate seasonal menus, and they offer this option here. The dinner exceeded my expectations; I had high expectations from the menu (I wanted to try everything!), and the dishes exceeded my expectations. I really appreciated the option to order dishes pre-cut for two, so you can try multiple courses. The pappardelle with wild boar ragù was spectacular, not to mention the tiramisu with krumiri! I'll have to come back to try the spring menu too :)

Excellent experience. I'm constantly searching for restaurants with creative vegetarian options, and I had a wonderful time here. The menu is seasonal, and there's the option to share dishes. Top quality and absolutely reasonable prices. I really appreciated the descriptions behind the dishes, the warm atmosphere, and the attentive service. Photos of the dishes weren't provided because I was completely lost in the middle of the meal.
