My date and I had dinner here yesterday for Valentine’s Day, and it was truly a wonderful experience. We were both welcomed with warm smiles and seated immediately since I had made a reservation ahead of time. We started off with cocktails — the Ruby Mist and the Twilight Apple — and both were excellent. I have to say, all of the staff were incredibly kind, polite, and helpful throughout the evening. We ordered the Valentine’s Special, which included champagne, an uni shooter, an apple jam cracker with caviar, a mini wagyu rice bowl, a mini salmon and ikura rice bowl, ocean game tartare, three hand rolls, and a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. We also ordered the Wagyu Carpaccio in addition to the special. Since it was our first time trying some of these dishes, the experience felt even more exciting. I wasn’t quite sure how to properly enjoy the uni shooter, but one of the staff members kindly explained and even gave us her recommendation on the best way to eat it. That personal touch really elevated our experience. We genuinely enjoyed everything, but our favorites were the apple jam cracker with caviar, the mini wagyu rice bowl, the mini salmon and ikura rice bowl, the hand rolls, and the carpaccio. It was rude of me not to ask for her name, but the young lady who was attending to us was such a kind soul. We accidentally left an item behind without realizing it, and she actually ran out to bring it back to us, very honorable of her. That level of care and attentiveness meant so much to us. Thank you again for such a memorable evening. We will definitely be returning for the delicious food, drinks, and exceptional service.
Came here fur lunch on New Year’s Eve and was seated after a 20 minute wait. It’s a small place with a spacious bar seating. We had the premium sake flight to accompany the chicken gyozas and hand rolls, which were pretty fresh and good. Overall fantastic meal!
Everything was so delicious and fresh. It’s such a good value! We got 9 hand rolls, 2 teas, and a dessert under $100 (without tip and tax). I was so happy with our dinner and loved the sweet potato brulee too.
First visit for all five of us based on a friend's recommendation, and it didn't disappoint! We were all thoroughly impressed with the high-quality food and lovely service. The staff made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. 👏🏻
Good small Japanese restaurant! The atmosphere is good. Food is very good in quality and delicious. We order a lot of hand roll, and I recommended scallops + Uni, and Overthrow Ikura. Also, Pork Cartilage is really good and soft as well! The dessert is pretty good, and I like the presentation. Overall, I recommend the combo set as well but not a bad idea by just order piece by piece.
Oh! Banzai in Gardena was a great find. We had the hand rolls, and the eel and wagyu were easily my favorites—fresh, rich, and seriously satisfying. Everything tasted super clean and well-made, the service was friendly, and the vibe was easy and relaxed. If you’re into hand rolls, don’t skip the eel and wagyu. Can’t wait to come back.
This place is wonderful. Very japanese experience. Beautifully furnished, simple, clean. Nice menu offerings, fresh and delicious. For $26-$36 you can select 5 different hand rolls with your choice of toppings. Absolutely delicious and satisfying. Lots of higher end uni and other seafood options, salads and deserts. The enzyme koso drinks are made to order, bubbly and fruity, very refreshing. Loved this experience!
A friend recommended this spot and I’m so happy we went! Big variety of hand rolls, made super fast with high quality fish. My favorites were the scallop ponzu, crab (full crab leg meat), and toro negi. The sunomono salad with added shrimp and scallop 🔥. Don’t miss the garlic chili edamame. Very friendly staff
Super delicious! rolls a little small...but everything is really good together! Love this place DEFINITELY going back
📍Ambience: The restaurant is cozy and intimate, with a corner bar and just a few tables. It’s clean, minimal, and welcoming—perfect for a casual yet elevated dining experience. 🍽️ DineLA Four-Course Menu: 1. Uni Yamaimo Ikura Shooter An incredible start to the meal! This shooter came with four thick slices of Santa Barbara uni—generous, creamy, and extremely fresh. Combined with ikura and grated mountain yam, it was an umami bomb that literally danced in your mouth. A luxurious and well-balanced bite. 2. Five Premium Hand Rolls Each hand roll was thoughtfully crafted and filled to the brim. The selection included salmon + chili crisp, toro, ikura + scallop, unagi + egg, and crab leg. All of them are featured on their regular menu and typically range from $8 to $15+ per piece. Getting all five in one course was an amazing value and showcased the quality of their ingredients and technique. 3. Char Siu Mazemen (Dry Ramen) A pleasant surprise! The ramen was light yet flavorful, with a tangy-spicy kick that suited the hot summer weather. The char siu was tender and fragrant. Portion size was quite large—great for value, but a bit too much for a smaller appetite. 4. Vanilla Ice Cream with Warabi Mochi A sweet finish to the meal. The vanilla ice cream was speckled with real vanilla bean and paired with warabi mochi, kinako powder, and brown sugar syrup. A chewy, fragrant, and slightly sweet dessert—classic and comforting. 💰 Overall Value: At $65 per person, this DineLA set is an excellent deal, especially given the quality and portion sizes. Honestly, this meal rivaled and even surpassed many of the more hyped hand roll spots in town. They also offer a $26 lunch set (5-piece hand rolls) that I’m already planning to come back for.
We had a nice dinner here and the service was great. We came on a quiet week night, so service was extremely quick. When we sat down, we were given a complimentary dish of radish and fish cakes cooked in oden broth. We ordered hand rolls as well as the pork cartilage and chicken wings. It felt like it took just a little over 5 mins for us to get all of our food. The hand rolls were very good quality! One thing to note is that all the hand rolls are brought out at once, so the seaweed will get soggy after a while. Given how fast service was, in the future I would space out my orders to keep them fresh. The pork "cartilage" we got was more like cuts of fatty pork belly, no actual cartilage in the dish. It was still very yummy though, especially with the mustard sauce to pair with the rich fatty bites. I do not eat hand rolls very often so it did get a bit messy with some of the sauces and toppings. Be extra careful with the chili crisp topping. It tastes good but can easily get on your clothes. Wet wipes are provided which is nice. Overall a very enjoyable (slightly messy) dinner with great service!
Stumbled across Oh! Banzai on an IG ad….stopped by for lunch because I was in the area. What a gem! Had the eel sunomono (light and delicious!), and a few hand rolls. Really lovely place, great service, food is fresh and feels like a higher level dining experience than the price suggests. Definitely coming back
My server Reina was so helpful navigating me through the menu. The fish was so fresh and the matcha latte is a common Togo item for me! Love all the staff there and the kitchen is an open concept and you know all your food is fresh! Love the authentic japanese modern atmosphere!!
Oh! Banzai in Torrance is such a great spot! The hand roll sushi was fresh and delicious, and my favorite was definitely the wagyu carpaccio — melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The servers were friendly and attentive, and the whole place had a nice, clean atmosphere that made dining really comfortable. I also tried the koso drink, which was surprisingly refreshing and delicious. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area!
Oh! Banza! has an unexpectedly amazing lunch menu, and this has turned into my regular sushi lunch spot! Note, they stop serving lunch at 2:30pm, and I recommend arriving between 11:30am-2pm. The restaurant is not visible from the main streets, and is tucked further back into the shopping center. They have plenty of free parking in the lot, and there are two entrances to the parking lot. The staff is always extremely friendly & efficient (the hand rolls typically come within just a few minutes of ordering) and the fish quality is consistently fresh and delicious. They also had the high-quality pre-separated chopsticks. The aesthetic is very modern, and all seating is indoors, and you can either sit at the sushi bar or at tables. The Hand Roll Lunch Plate comes with a rotating side dish (the past few times it’s been root-based) and miso soup, and is broken into 2 pricing tiers, 3 pieces for $18 or 5 pieces for $26, and you can add an additional hand roll for $5 each. They have a large variety included in this special, including: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, scallop, shrimp, eel, snow crab, and vegetables. On my first visit, I went with the 3 pieces lunch set for $18, and I chose: Tuna + Kizami Wasabi (my favorite) Negi-Toro Scallop + Jalapeño Ponzo (the raw jalapeño is a little spicy) Everything was so good, I added 2 more hand rolls: Tuna + Kizami Wasabi (reorder) Salmon + Onion Crunchy Chili Oil (another favorite) On my second visit, I went with the 5 piece lunch set for $26 and it was a much better choice. I went with: Tuna + Kizami Wasabi Spicy Tuna with Scallions (loved, another favorite) Yellowtail + Grated Daikon Ponzo (my first time trying grated daikon!) Scallop + Spicy Mayonnaise Aburi (delicious, but mayo overpowers taste of scallop) Snow Crab + Spicy Mayonnaise Aburi (also delicious) I now plan to go for sushi-lunch at least once a week, and I hope you enjoy as much as I have! Conveniently located if you work in Torrance.
I visited here the week after they opened. Because of the price. I only went once lol. Saving up to go again. I took myself out to a nice early dinner because... I needed it that day lol. I just landed from a really long work trip the day before and I was craving sushi. Saw a post on this somewhere that they just opened. So I drove down 25 min to give it a shot. They were pretty packed and they had a party coming in about 45 minutes. I asked them if I could sit at the bar and I promised to be quick. The manager took me in and, I was able to order some of the best hand rolls I've ever had in my life. These things are works of art. I did get some of the more pricey rolls but I didn't care. Suggest coming here during lunch to take advantage of their day. Special. Though I no longer drink booze, they kept my Waters and tea tea filled. Every bite I savored. Next time I come back I am bringing a date. And I hope she enjoys it as much as I do. I did wind up getting hungry about after a half hour of leaving LOL. But it was worth the experience. The staff was great. Friendly. But the taste.... Wow.
Great food and great service! The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I really enjoyed everything, but my favorites were the tamagoyaki & the scallops with spicy mayo hand roll. I had never had Koso before, and I ordered the strawberry one with sparkling water. It was delicious, refreshing, and the perfect amount of sweetness. I'm looking forward to trying the other Koso flavors. Thank you!
A different take on hand rolls. They are served open face. The fish and toppings are delicious. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. It's a small space, but we got a nice table, and the drinks and food came quickly We will be back.

I never leave reviews but I had an amazing experience! The servers were patient and kind when explaining the menu. Very intimate vibe. The food was 100/10 WE ENJOYED EVERY BITE! Thank you for a great date night <3
Came here for lunch and really enjoyed it! Freshly made sushi hand rolls that make a nice light lunch. It’s located in a plaza so a good amount of parking. There are a few tables and seats inside so can get busy. Service is friendly and nice too. The vibe is pretty relaxed and easy going. I really enjoyed the salmon with the spicy mayo on top! Overall would come back!
This was our first visit to this restaurant, located on the second floor of Tokyo Central. The space is clean, and the staff were friendly. We placed all our orders using the tablet above the conveyor belt—which was a bit of a stretch for someone with shorter arms, but manageable. The food arrived via the conveyor belt and stopped right at our table. We tried a few rolls, sashimi, and nigiri, and everything was quite tasty. I'd love to bring my family here someday.

I went there a few times and some great options while others clearly a rip off and overhyped ( tiny laughable portions) . However, I am writing this review because there was a SUPER RUDE host who demanded I sit where she wanted me to, which was in between people already having loud conversations. I explained that I prefer to be away, and they certainly had more than enough room! She was very elitist and said “NO.” With an almost chilling tone and so I asked the older chef ( hoping he would put her in her place ) but he cowardly acquiesced to her. So I said then it’s a “NO” from me as well and left. No apology, UTTER arrogance and banal elitism. I’ve been to many ACTUAL “snobby” Michelin awarded restaurants all over and get better treatment there! The fake blonde waitress should invest in manners training and common decency. Maybe if I put on my “professional” attire I would have been treated better? Who knows. Utterly pathetic service. Menu mixed, some great ( albeit grossly overpriced ) and many mediocre rip offs. Atmosphere is predictable and forgettable with ridiculous elitism that is shameful.
