Buen servicio, restaurante familiar. Volveremos seguro.
Brutal....
I enjoyed the food. The person who served me was nice and courteous. I had a ham sandwich which was really nice.
I really enjoyed it, a 10 out of 10 overall. Everything we ordered was delicious: the anchovies were spectacular, the Iberian ham was very good, the scallops were excellent, and the octopus leg was amazing—tender and flavorful. The service was excellent, friendly and welcoming, and we loved the food; everything was prepared with great care, which is evident in the presentation and the pleasure of eating it. Keep up the good work; you're doing a fantastic job.
I can assure you that Sara and her team deserve all the success in the world. My twin boys with the mellow rice, the fideuà, the librets and the entrecote from Girona have enjoyed it like never before. The "Bruuuutal" pig's feet as the great Marc says. The spectacular garró. And the desserts ...... Buffffff..... Sara you will get where you want to get, but above all never change. A hug from the twins and us from La Roca del Vallès.
We went for a tasting menu dinner and loved it. Six courses plus dessert, and everything was delicious. It was a feast for the senses. Excellent quality and top-notch service. They offer set menus during the week and on weekends. We had prawn croquettes, foie gras, prawn skewers, cherry tomatoes with sauce, squid stuffed with Catalan sausage, oxtail, cheeses, and dessert... you can tell the passion they put into it and the way they treat all their guests. Don't miss the opportunity to try it and savor the flavors.
We went on a Saturday, and the menu was €23. The restaurant has three spaces with tables, not very large. There are some options for people with intolerances on the menu, but they didn't have gluten-free bread. We ordered steamed mussels, and a couple were overcooked. The Russian salad was a 10/10! Super good and homemade. The seafood paella was very good, and the rice was cooked to perfection. It was a little dry for my taste; I think it needed a little more sautéing, but it still had a very good flavor. The prices are reasonable. The waiter's service was excellent. Overall, we liked it; we'll come back.
We went with the family and the meal was a complete success. On the weekend, you can only order from the set menu, although we also ordered the grilled octopus as a shared dish in addition to the set menu. I didn't have time to take a photo because it disappeared so quickly 😅. Oh my... the choice was excellent! The menu, of course, followed the same high standard, and the service was perfect, especially with the kids! We left the restaurant rolling, at a more than reasonable price.
Two people ate on Saturday, November 19th. It was packed, but everything seemed under control. Potato chips and bread were waiting for us. We ordered a white wine, a Xarel.lo variety, which was impressive. And we started eating. We ordered fideuá and an XXL cannelloni. For starters, we had squid and tuna. Everything was delicious, cooked to perfection, and we had a 10/10. We'll be back.
El Forn is one of those places you should keep on your agenda for a getaway from time to time. Outstanding both in its menus, the à la carte menu, and the service. A family-run establishment where each member of the family perfectly fulfills their role... and very well. The wine list is good, and the menu of dishes, while not extensive, is well curated. There's something for everyone. Suitable for groups and celebrations as well as for a night out with your partner. The dishes are elaborate, beautifully presented, and even better. Personally, the tuna tataki is outrageous. Highly recommended, as is making a reservation.
We went during the week, and the menu is very comprehensive and the prices are great. We ordered fideuá (exquisite) and salad (very good) for starters. For the main course, turkey breast with curry sauce was SPECTACULAR. The sauce was so smooth, the texture was perfect, the turkey cooked to perfection, and it was so juicy. And for dessert... homemade cake with hot chocolate on top, incredible.
We booked a table for lunch for five. We chose the €16 menu. I ate a timbale of grilled tuna and anchovies, well prepared and in good quantity. For a second course I chose another first course, the simple but juicy fideuà. For dessert, a pudding with hot chocolate (not much choice of fruit dishes). Good atmosphere. The waitress had a great memory and the head waiter was friendly. To be recommended!!
Small restaurant in Gavà. They offer a menu and well-prepared dishes. Mediterranean cuisine. The service could be improved. They have typical Catalan dishes. The day I went it was very crowded and noisy.

We went for the card game. The menu was simple, the food was average (the starters were better than the main courses). Service was mediocre, as different waiters kept coming around to ask us the same questions. We had to eat outside, and it looked more like a bar (with a TV and a fridge of soft drinks in sight) than a cute restaurant. And the prices were quite high (for 2 adults and 1 4-year-old child), approaching €100.
Disappointing. The food quality is far below the price of the set menu, at least the weekend menu. The place doesn't look well-maintained: the walls are covered in oil splatters, and frankly, the restrooms are best avoided. They give you the daily set menu, handwritten on a piece of paper, along with the regular menu. However, when you try to order something from the regular menu, they tell you that on weekends you can only choose from the set menu, which is confusing and lacks transparency. In our case, the pork tenderloin arrived with several completely raw outer parts. The sauce was excessively salty and lukewarm. We sent almost the entire dish back; the only truly edible part was the potatoes. The ribeye steak was also disappointing, especially in terms of thickness, as it looked more like a steak than a ribeye. On the positive side, the service was fast and the staff very attentive. However, we were charged the full price of the set menu despite having sent a dish back because it was poorly prepared. All this for a €29.50 menu, which also doesn't include drinks. Clearly poor value for money.
Today, January 6th and traditional Epiphany, we went with our family to the restaurant. El Forn de Gavà. I had it on my agenda because I was seduced by it when I saw it on the TV3 contest… Well, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! There was a €40 menu (for being Epiphany), but they served us a “very bad” menu for a cheap newspaper. Poor quality products and not even the pa amb tomàquet was presentable (imagine what it was like from the beginning to dessert). The service “with a sour apple face” and an extra non-alcoholic beer €5 or €6. I don’t know if they changed owners after the television program, but at the moment, I’m NEVER going back!!!
Well, I haven't even had the chance to enjoy the experience. I had a reservation for lunch today, December 9th, at 2 PM, and a man—and I mean a man, since he's more of an unprofessional fellow—who apparently is in charge of greeting customers when they arrive... If this is the service they offer, it leaves much to be desired. They could learn a thing or two from any bartender in a Chinese-owned establishment, who have much better manners and are far more courteous when serving customers. And in my humble opinion, this isn't a cheap restaurant, and their prices don't just cover the food; they also cover a service that, judging by what I've seen, is inferior to the service you'd get at any McDonald's or Burger King. What a huge disappointment I had today! Even though I had a reservation, just by asking if I could have a beer while I waited for my friend, it seems this isn't a place to have a beer while seated at my reserved table. This rude and disrespectful man rudely and with very little manners kicked me out, saying, "Get out, get out, leave!" It's a shame that a little fame from being on TV isn't all it's cracked up to be. I will tell all my clients about this experience.
