The fingerling potatoes, paired with an order of the beans and artichokes were a delightful surprise. Our first visit, will not be the last!

The chicken salad sandwich is terrific. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Quinnie's has everything. Absolutely delicious food, a super cute place to hang out (indoors and out!), a little grocery shopping if you need it, wonderful staff and owners, and CLUB FRILLS. What more could you want in a food desert with nothing but a tractor store, a Stewart's, a jeep dealership, and a farmers market where they only sell flowers. They have improved my neighborhood in more ways than I can count! Give them all raises!!!

QUINNIE’S! Just hearing the name makes my mouth water. The food is remarkably delicious and satisfying. Whether it’s the chicken salad (with a layer of crisped chicken skin!), the roasted mushrooms, the Carnitas or the Toad-in-a-hole, the sandwiches always delight. OMG! - the Friday night dinner boxes! Complete meals for two to enjoy at the restaurant or take home. The vegetable dishes are not to be missed either each and every one is a winner. The baked goods are amazing too - get as many cookies as you can - and do not forget to grab some biscuits! If you haven’t been yet, go to Quinnie’s and you’ll be delighted as I always am! Their friendly and cheerful staff will make sure of it!

Hands down, the BEST food in Colombia County. The only fair comparison to Quinnie is Gabrielle Hamilton. Honest, Delicious food. Go there now.

OMG love everything about Quinnie's. Food was unbelievably flavorful and delicious. Made love with the chicken sandwich. Full body chills... I mean, a layer of crispy chicken! Hello! Can't wait for dinner tonight cause I'm coming back.

OMG! The greatest find today! Love the whole vibe. The playlist had me singing all through my lunch! Had the chicken salad. The crispy skin garnish did it for me :) A must stop in if in the Hudson NY area! Dog and kid friendly! I’ll be back. Thank you Quinnie!!

Gets better every time. Recommend the Toad in a Hole or the Egg and Spicy Greens. Baked goods are great. Coffee and such also really good. Staff and owners are very friendly.

If you order their apple galette you will never eat apple pie again!! It was awesome! Service and all team were great and friendly. It's a little bit cumbersome to get to using navigation as it's not obvious from the road.

B
Brian

I popped in on a whim and loved it. My wife is a foodie and when I told her who the owner was she said, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? as if I'd said Jason Momoa had moved in next door. The proprietor is a veteran restaurateur who ran an excellent establishment in NYC for 20 years. Now she's set up shop here.

I feel the service, food, and atmosphere where all great. I sat there for awhile after I ate and didn't get rushed out of there like most places. Definitely recommend to anyone who would like to try something new!

My first stop anytime visiting the Hudson area. Beautifully curated menu, excellent to chill in or take stuff for a picnic. Crawfish boils, that chicken sandwich with the crispy skin, that focaccia, fuggetaboutit!

I love the outdoor accessibility it's really nice. The chicken salad sandwich was very good. It's a bit pricey and not much to choose from. If you bring kids they might not be happy with the selection just being honest.

I was looking for a coffee-ish shop with good food and stumbled upon Quinnie’s. It’s a little bit outside of Hudson but worth it to ditch the overwhelming crowds on Warren Street. The food was delicious, counter service is always a plus and they have delicious coffee. It’s a great place to hang out in the nicer weather too because they have a little patio area AND they sell cocktails!!

e

Everything is spectacular. The Chicken Sandwich is a must, and the Mortadella has my heart. Brothy Beans, Chicken Soup, every. single. damn. thing. is. delicious. Beautiful and cozy atmosphere, kid-friendly. Incredible outdoor space for taking food on a picnic with the family. Amazing offerings inside their general store area as well. Don't miss it! Best vibes, best grub.

Quinnie’s is the absolute best! The atmosphere is truly spectacular, the food phenomenal, the staff is thorough & excellent, fun events on the weekends (CRAWFISH BOILS?! OYSTER FESTS, KARAOKE!!!, DRAG SHOWS!!!). Don’t miss the outstanding bar program & delightful grocery items! Now let’s get to the baked goods…wildly addictive & some of the most dazzling things my tastebuds have ever encountered. The food is sourced from some of my favorite local farms & the quality is top notch! Kid friendly, fun friendly, community driven, & innovative. I might just have to drive there now & enjoy a chicken salad sandwich, hey mama cocktail and watch the glorious sunset in their expansive six acres of sheer perfection! Don’t snooze on supporting this incredible new establishment in Hudson!

This is the place for great food, great vibe and a great hang. Upon walking up to this beautifully renovated house, you immediately are aware of the time, love and passion that went into creating Quinnie's. Best chickens salad on the planet with the seared skin on top, and try the egg on homemade biscuits. Thank you for bringing this to Hudson!

S

This must be the place! Quinnie’s exceeds expectations on every level. Friendly, welcoming & knowledgeable staff. Our favorites are the mortadella sandwich, carnitas, chicken salad and picked eggs. Don’t miss the homemade pretzels when they have them. Lots of room outside for kids to run around. Damn good coffee and they have karaoke! This place is a dream.

I love Quinnie’s! The food is so good! Order that famous chicken salad sandwich or the pork carnitas- everything else is delicious too! There’s great salads and pastries as well. A great place if you need something quick on the go, or chill in the spacious backyard and stay a while! Fun place for the whole fam, and the staff are so sweet and friendly- I go back at least once a week!

B

Gosh, I love this place. Everything we've ever ordered has been good. The staff is all friendly and helpful, and their little shop has a great selection of local and unique things to stuff into your pantry. Also: Possibly the best chicken salad sandwich on the planet. Haven't tried them all, but I think it's a safe bet.

A gem near Hudson, NY. Fantastic lunch food. Try the chicken salad sandwich. Amazing! Alcohol, coffee, and all other beverages available. Service and grounds, welcoming and comfortable indoors and out. Ask for the wonderful Quinn and Simon, the owners. 2-23. Still awesome!

Incredible sandwiches! Great local beer! Beautiful ambiance. What more could you ask for?

Companion and I shared a chicken salad sandwich at lunchtime. Definitely get this! It has crispy fried chicken skin inside with the chicken salad filling and the bread is toasted to perfection. A must try. I also ordered some pickled eggs as I never had them before. Probably wouldn't have them again but they were not bad. Okay. It is topped with dill weed; that might be why I wasn't loving it--not a great fan of dill weed. The spicy potatoes were a hit. Might have enjoyed them even more than the sandwich. Cannot wait to come back to Quinnies! A note about their ordering procedure: I wish more restaurants would take the hint and do it like Quinnies. You come in and order right at the counter. They then bring the food out to you--we waited maybe five minutes (it wasn't busy). No waiting at the end for the bill; you just leave when you want. Bring the dirty dishes to the station and voila! Done. Very efficient.

Quinnie's is the spot. The sandwiches are both original and nostalgic, simply delicious home-cooking. Love the chicken salad and mortadella. Great place to pick up pantry items and something special. Plus a drink on their patio sends it home.

Adorable and pleasant spot with a menu that makes you want to ask for one of everything. Outdoor space is a dream! Staff is pleasant and accommodating. I made a mistake with my order and without hesitation they addressed it even though it was my error—shows they care about the experience no matter who is at fault.

Amazing little cafe with excellent food, cocktails and espresso. Very kid friendly with crayons and a few toys. We stopped after sledding at the OMI Sculpture Park—made for a perfect day.

The chicken sandwich is ridiculous. I’ve been here multiple times, but I just can’t change my order, it’s just too good! Plus they have the best espresso drinks in the area and a fantastic cocktail menu. The vibe is fun and friendly, set in a beautifully restored old farmhouse, with a large outdoor space that’s great for kids.

Quinnie’s is a special place! The food is amazing, everything I’ve gotten there has been delicious and interesting. The staff is also fantastic. Super friendly and the overall vibe there is really fun. It’s ALWAYS worth the visit

I love Quinnie’s!!! Their sandwiches are SO good, and unique! It can be tough to find a sandwich around here that doesn’t feel like it weighs you down after lunch. But somehow even the fried chicken salad sandwich is refreshing! I love that they have rotating season specials, and keep some classics on the menu year round (I’m a huge fan of the mortadella sandwich). The non sandwich specials are always amazing too. Don’t forget to ask about them when you order! I lived off the roasted pepper coconut soup all winter long. Everyone who works there is an actual earth angel! They are kind, helpful and patient even when it gets super busy on the weekends, and that’s no small feat! Do yourself a favor, and keep your eye on what they’ve got goin on at Quinnie’s!

Cutest place, borderline perfect all around. My daughter got a BLT and it was the freshest thing I’ve ever had. Cookie is insane.

What a gem - perfect for a lunch stop while exploring the area. We loved the inventiveness of the matzoh ball sausage, not to mention that it was delicious. Great place to enjoy the outdoors with picnic tables both in the shaded and out in the sun.

We love this place and visit often. The food is incredible (I dream about the smashburger and the boo boo biscuit), cocktails and coffees are perfection, and vibes are immaculate. It is very kid friendly and fun for everyone !

I loved papa's porridge for breakfast. The biscuit with egg was also pretty good, though a bit dry.

Best Bloody Mary! Had an absolute blast at Quinnie’s. Go for the food, stay for the drinks and the hella cute vibe. The outside seating is key when you have an overactive, adventurous, and demanding 5 yr old. Plenty of room for the kids to free range. Went with a group of friends and ordered pretty much everything on the menu, my besties said don’t sleep on the Mortadella sandwich (I’m gluten free but it looked dope). Chicken Salad over kale was phenomenal and I had to have a Bloody Mary as an appetizer, lol. Really enjoyed the small but well stocked market vibe and ended up grabbing some candles, pimento cheese and kimchi. Something for everyone really. When my son decided to sit down and eat something he happily smashed some Utz Chips, a grilled cheese, some pimento cheese & ritz before devouring the “bestest cookie i ever ated”. I grabbed a cold brew on the way out to liven myself up for three more hours of the offspring being awake. Can’t wait to go back again.

I've eaten here may times, especially on burger and martini night! The staff is amazing and the owner Quinn even came out to see how we are doing. Super family and dog friendly. The food is so good, especially loved the egg salad sandwich. Columbia County has so few high quality casual restaurants, Quinnies is the rare gem. I see comments complaining about the price, but if you want to patronize restaurants serving Sysco canned crap and don't pay their employees a living wage, go else ware.

K
Kate Sitarz

Can’t wait to try more of this menu! Had the kimchi sandwich (so good, just the right amount of kick), and bahn mi (as a sweet potato and pickle lover, the dream). Their side of pickles was also delightful. Fantastic Negroni. Love all the spaces for seating particularly outside. Great for being outside with our dog. Will be back!!!

It's right by the highway for a convenient location. The friendly service was outstanding. Great atmosphere with background music, fall decor, both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was delicious!!!

Love to bring a guest from out of town to Quinnie's. Favorite items include Chicken Salad (with a MASSIVE piece of crisp chicken skin...YUM) and spicy potatoes. To take home, these insane fancied-up cherries that you can put in cocktails, on ice cream, or just DEVOUR LIKE AN ANIMAL. Before Quinnies I thought I hated pickled eggs but it turns out I love them. I don't think they have these soupy beans from my pic rn, but they were yum. Big Pro of each item on the menu is that it combines all sorts of flavors and ingredients that would never occur to me on my own. Decor and staff are all that and a bag of chips, too. Plus local food, ethical bla bla. After, visit the ReStore across the street for a perf afternoon.

M
Michael Busa

What a special spot Quinnies is! Everything blew me away from the indoor and outdoor atmosphere, to the kind service and owners, to the amazing food, I will definitely be traveling 2 hours again to come back I got for breakfast their boo boo breakfast biscuit. With it, an iced americano while I did some work in their dining area. I was happily surprised to see their little grocery section full of Hudson Valley/NY goods. I wasn’t expecting this and will definitely be coming back to shop as well as well as eat. I left wanting lunch/dinner to go so I ordered the meatball sandwich special which I’m eating while writing this review. It’s a spicy meatball!

The first time I ever visited Hudson, it was because I saw a picture of the chicken salad sandwich - and this past weekend, I got married AND got to have Quinnie's catering at my wedding. That's how good it is. Quinnie's is so so yummy, and Quinn herself is also lovely. All of our wedding guests said it's the best wedding food they've ever had. Quinn also made extra pickle juice/pickles for our martini bar, AND corn dogs!!! Come on. The best. You should 100% go to Quinnie's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and also should 200% have them cater your events. :)

K
Keri Moskowitz

Every time I am in the area, Quinnie's is a non-negotiable stop. The food is perfect and well thought out. Plus, the proprietor Quinn is a delight herself, making us feel welcome and comfortable each time we visit. And don't miss out on the burger and 'tinis nights! So fun.

I come for the Cortado iced. Stay for the spicy greens sandwich. So delicious. Also the bloody Mary’s are perfection. Nice picnic table seating outside, can bring dog and hang.

Excellent sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. A stellar chicken salad sandwich. They also do delicious special dinner nights like burgers and martinis and red sauce night. Everyone is friendly and they are a great community.

The breakfast sandwich is amazing. Pickled eggs are perfection and my kid loves the hotdog. Lol We love to sit at the picnic tables on a nice day and can’t wait for spring, so we can get back out there!

Best sandwiches and I don’t even like sandwiches but I adore the chicken salad sand. Yum. My friend had the Quinnies club and she won’t shut up about it. She raves about it to anyone who’ll listen even if they stop listening she goes on and on. It’s also a cool vibe. I love sitting outside in the summer. The owner is very nice too.

Food was very fresh. First time having a a Brussel Ceasar salad and was very delicious ! I will get again next time. Also had the chicken salad sandwich, one of the best I ever had. 10/10. If you’re looking for fresh food with flavor go here.

A favorite spot for years. Not your simple grab and go lunch spot. This place has epic flavor combinations, including the Not a Banh Mi (recommended by Anna, great service!) which quite literally knocked my socks off with delicious picked everything and slightly spicy mayo on a worth-its -weight-in-gold focaccia. Pair it with the picked egg (smack-your-mama level of delicious) and the full bodied white wine that tops the menu and is made by a member of the staff. Great outdoor seating area. Not to be missed if you value joy in life.

Kid-friendly heaven with killer food! Quinnie’s in Hudson is what happens when a farmhouse, a playground, and a gourmet kitchen have a beautiful love child. We came for brunch and ended up staying for hours — the kids were busy playing giant Jenga while we played “pretend we’re on vacation.” The food? Ridiculously good. Juicy burgers, a kimchi-packed sandwich that slapped (in a good way), and pickled eggs that made us question everything we knew about eggs. Even the lemonade felt fancy. If you’ve got kids, tastebuds, or just need a good hang — this place delivers. 10/10, would trade my kitchen table for theirs.

M
Marjorie Hardy

Let me start by this : my favor usually goes to inauspicious places that reveal great. Uncut gems, as one could say. This place seems unappealing on a map, caught between a gas station, a thrift store and a car/tractors dealer. But when you pass the door, you're in a new world. The place has obviously been renovated with a lot of love. It's simple and easy on the eye. There is a large table on the second floor. I would picture a brunch with friends and kids, or a bookclub meeting. LGBT friendly! We only tried one plate, the Boo Boo Breakfast. It was really good. Flaky buttermilk biscuit, meat-dense bacon and perfectly fried egg. There is a definite waste-less approach in the details and that contribute to the experience. There are very cute items for sale, with good food products too. They don't seem to go for the "curated vintage items" route, and for that, kudos. (I mean, there's Habitat for Humanity just the other side of the street anyway!)

K
Kathryn Taylor

What a gem. If I lived nearby, I’d eat here everyday. The vibes: your super hip neighbor’s backyard. The food: a super good/bougie version of classic comfort food, like chicken salad (but with dill, orange and chicken skin), or a beautiful breakfast sandwich on a biscuit. We will be making this a regular stop when we head this way!

H
Hannah Rosenberg-Mendez

We hired Quinn and her incredible team to cater the dinner party following our wedding ceremony this past spring. Quinn was incredibly receptive to our menu inspiration / ideas and flawlessly brought our vision to life. The food could not have been any more perfect. Her team was equally remarkable - professional, kind, and attentive throughout the entire event. Good food / good company was our main focus when thinking about what kind of wedding we wanted. Quinnie's delivered tenfold.

T
Trevor Plumer

In a word, overpriced. I hadn’t stopped by in at least a couple of years; the food was memorably tasty at the time, so naturally I was excited to try it again. I also recalled that they were active in hosting community outreach events, which was another draw. I ordered a panzanella salad and a couple of other items to go. When they handed me two small boxes, I wondered how it could be worth nearly $50. I did notice at the register that a 18% gratuity was automatically included (yes, even on to-go orders). Say what you will about tipping culture, but I find this absurd - especially since the food is expensive to begin with! The panzanella salad, while flavorful with a nice punch of spice, did not meet expectations. I have included a picture of the salad; that is all they gave me for my $16, I had yet to take a bite when I took the picture. Not only did the amount of food not meet expectations, but the substance of the salad did not either. Forgive me for my naivety, however I thought a panzanella salad included bread - there was nothing on the menu to suggest otherwise. While the panzanella salad was obviously a disappointment for me, my experience is probably best highlighted by the PB+J cookie. Interestingly, the cookie tasted very close to the sandwich of the same name. Quinnies achieved something, but was it a good thing? I love PB+J sandwiches, but is it good that my cookie tasted like the sandwich? That is the crux of the issue - Quinnie’s sets expectations and then goes on to fulfill its own priorities: small portions, hefty prices, forced gratuity (as that point just a surcharge), confused food. Ultimately it all undermines any hope for a positive dining experience. For an establishment that supposes to support its community, it serves food that most of it probably couldn’t afford (and probably wouldn’t like). Quinnies has A LOT of work to do, and would be well served to re-examine their many flaws: their food, their business plans, and even their sense of morality. Just a heads up - in case you’ve cared to read this far and notice the 5 star review and are confused: I generally only ever score 5 stars to any restaurant. As unpleasant an experience I may have had, I don’t think one bad one should work to tank a rating. Cya bye, Quinnies. ✌️

This is a great pit stop for lunch and very family friendly! There’s lots of outdoor seating, a well-curated market, and even pickles on a stick! There are plenty of vegetarian sandwich options, too. I went with the chopped salad and potatoes because I’m gluten free (I didn’t ask if they had GF bread). The salad was not great, and I felt that both weren’t really worth ordering again considering portion size, flavor, and price. I’d still recommend this place, though, because the other food that came out of the kitchen looked great!!

L
Laurence

What a little gem this place is. Everything here just works, it’s such a beautiful space and the customer service was great. I came to try the boo boo breakfast biscuit but I’d like to try everything! The menu isn’t huge but what they do make they make VERY well and they serve alcoholic beverages as well! It’s nice to have the option to sit outside at one of the picnic tables and enjoy your food. I follow their Instagram to keep up to date on what they have going on and, they often have some kind of fun event coming up! My in laws live close by and you can hear the karaoke nights and it sounds like they are always having a blast over there. The breakfast sandwich I tried was AMAZING. I wish I still lived in the area because I would be there weekly. Definitely a place you want to check out and try!!!

Quinnie's: A perfect spot for delicious food and a peaceful afternoon I recently visited Quinnie's in Hudson and had a fantastic experience. The Mortadella sandwich was a real standout - the flavors were perfectly balanced and every bite was a delight. The Mexican Coke was a refreshing complement to the sandwich. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it easy to settle in and get some reading done. I was able to make some serious progress on "Dune" - I'm only 20 pages away from finishing! If you're looking for a great meal and a peaceful spot to unwind, I highly recommend Quinnie's. And now, as George Washington, let us march onward! With a flourish, I don my tricorne hat and grasp my trusty musket. The forest beckons, and the spirit of liberty fills the air. A jaunty tune, "Yankee Doodle," escapes my lips as I stride confidently into the wilderness. Onward, to face whatever challenges await!

A beautiful and delicious stop just outside of downtown Hudson. I LOVED the Chicken Salad Sandwich especially with the crunchy fried chicken skin and schmaltz toasted Pullman, wow!! Wish I lived closer so I could try more sandwiches.

Beautiful cozy cafe and market. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and it HIT 🎯 the spot. They also have s small market for groceries, store branded goods and beverages, as well as a bar with alcoholic beverages. Highly recommend this place for a quick stop while on a road trip, as a lunch or date spot.

Food was very fresh. First time having a a Brussel Ceasar salad and was very delicious ! I will get again next time. Also had the chicken salad sandwich, one of the best I ever had. 10/10. If you’re looking for fresh food with flavor go here.

A great place for a sandwich and beverage. I had chicken salad sandwich and an ice tea. The sandwich was so delicious and tasty. They added dill to it. The bread was amazing. The dressing on the sandwich was great, too. Lots of places to sit outside or inside. There's beer on tap, too. Brought home two homemade cookies. Both delicious. The girls behind the counter are very nice. Clean restroom.

From the moment you step inside Quinnie’s, you can feel the love and care that goes into every detail—whether it’s the thoughtfully curated menu, the warm and welcoming staff, or the cozy space itself. Every dish tastes fresh, intentional, and full of flavor, but beyond the food, it’s the atmosphere that makes Quinnie’s so special. It’s the kind of place that instantly feels like a community hub, where strangers become neighbors over a great meal. The team clearly pours their heart into creating not just a café, but an experience worth returning to again and again. Hudson is lucky to have Quinnie’s—it’s a true gem, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I’ll be honest. Not the friendliest service. Doesn’t even refill a ice tea for free. It was overly expensive for what you got. No side with sandwiches. I would say highly recommended with some major changes. But they are new. Something you probably won’t find in this area. Worth a try just for the atmosphere.

Very nice atmosphere and location (we went to Philip's Orchard down the way to apple pick and why were in the area), very nice staff, great local beer selection- tasty food often with local ingredients. We did have a slight problem with a sandwich that we did not even address with them when at the restaurant since it was a busy afternoon for them and us. They IMMEDIATELY addressed to my total satisfaction and beyond when I provided feedback afterwards since I only notified them when prompted for a review- I hope to be a repeat customer in the future.

A sandwich shop and more. A perfect stop for good food and good vibes. The best chicken salad I have ever had and I’m from the south-my standards are high! Have a samy a coffee or Outside for a Drink or a bean bag toss.

We had chicken salad sandwiches. They were fine, interesting, in fact. But for $15 or $17, whatever they were, would it have been so costly to management to add a few chips, a few potato straws, an orange or pickle slice? Would certainly make the plate a little prettier and the price a bit more palatable. Service (Beth, I believe) was professional and cheerful. Postscript: Owner responded to me, which I appreciate. And again the food and service was great. I do think, however, he/she perhaps spent too much time explaining costs, which we all recognize are too high, and didn’t at all address what I had asked about: that adding a few potato chips or a thin slice of pickle or orange to the plate to make it appear more complete (yes, for the price).

Good roadside place to get lunch. They have a nice selection that focuses on local food. They have a lot of tables outside and a small fire pit. They also sell a few grocery type items like eggs, meat, cheese, and some other sundries.

Awesome vibes. The outdoor section has pinics tables, an open garage with disco ping pong, corn hole game and a collection of kids leftover toys. Indoor has a tiny market with some seating and more seating upstairs with large dining table. We ordered the chicken salad sandwich, biscuit sandwich and kale Caesar. Everything was well prepared and on a gourmet food level served in an eclectic laid back house. The prices are higher and there was also an automatic 18% gratiuity for all orders, which seems excessive.

First visit was latish afternoon in winter, sun was pouring in through the many windows lighting up the very cool concrete and stone with light wood finishes. Had the special, which was a toad in the hole which was one of the best things I've eaten in months, in part due to the house-made focaccia which was sensational. The menu looks fantastic and I will undoubtedly upgrade this to 5 stars once I make a second visit -- will most def hit the lamb meatball sando. The dry goods selection is absolutely foodie-friendly. The feng shui, the menu, the structure (best washroom in CC) , the on-tap/cans are all spot on, welcome to Rt 66!! UPDATE 8/22: So I have been hitting Quinnies a good number of times since it opened, with my wife, my kids, and with their kids. Consistently now I find I come away with less and less satisfaction for more and more $$. The portions seem to be shrinking, the menu is static, and the choices seem in retrospect to be an unfortunate combination of twee and teasing. Taking a star off, but with full recognition they have created a wonderful space for recreating, and hosting a space for families to have a wonderful auberge-like experience. Just update the menu, be a little less stingy, and you are untouchable. Thank you for what you have brought to CC.

The whole space was adorable! Food was alright, but I felt like a chump after it came to our table (the portions were so small for the price!!!) The food also wasnt anything to write home about taste-wise, I don’t mind paying a lot for a small portion if the quality is evident in the dish but this wasn’t the case here. The tartine from the specials menu was good though

I had been meaning to go for years and I finally stopped this past Saturday. I got the breakfast biscuit and my wife got the chicken salad sandwich. The food was very good, but not perfect. The breakfast biscuit was very small for the price and didn't come with the hot sauce that was advertised on the menu, and the chicken salad was too heavy on the dill. Both of us really like dill but the flavor was over powering and in one bite my wife pulled out an entire spring, stem and all. I was disappointed that they don't have any decaf coffee or tea, as someone who can't have caffeine but still likes coffee I am always surprised when places don't have a single option. When I first asked if they had decaf, the guy working the counter got very snotty and said "we don't serve decaf, why would we? But we have like some seltzers and stuff in the fridge if you want to go look there I guess". I can understand not being able to make you're whole drinks menu decaf, but most places have some herbal tea or decaf espresso. The pantry section had some good selections, but nothing had a price on it, which is always a sign that it's severely overpriced. When I went there was only one other couple with their child, who they let run around screaming. I almost walked into the kid multiple times because she was just sprinting everywhere. I know that's not the business's fault, but at the same time, if you allow that to happen it will potentially drive customers away. Overall, I got the vibe that they want their customers to be weekenders from the city and not the people who actually live in the area. I would probably go back if someone I knew wanted to go, but I'm not going to go out of my way for rude service, a breakfast menu with only two breakfast items, no decaf, and food that while good, could be had at multiple other Hudson restaurants for half the price. Also, the parking lot looked like a mine field. I couldn't avoid all of the pot holes and one was so big I heard my shocks make a crunching noise when I hit it.

Love the food and hanging outside. Don't love the 18% "auto-grat" (auto-gratuity) that you have to opt out of. It's a self service restaurant, for heaven's sake! They bring you your food, but you fetch your own setups and bus your own trays, so what are we tipping for?

We saw this place from the road and turned around for dinner. It’s in an old house that is beautifully restored. Picnic tables out back. Menu is not extensive. The food was, to be honest, disappointing. I was eager to try the falafel burger. It was almost all bun and the falafel was meh. The smash burger wasn’t much better. For $15 (the falafel), more than disappointed. There is a good selection of beer on tap. But $12 for a glass of beer? What started as a quick stop for dinner ended up being close to $60, and it was mediocre. Cmon? We would not return.

The hidden 18% autogratuity for plain old counter service is absurd. Nothing about it via online menus or the website and saw nothing about it on the ordering blackboard. Register info was turned away as it was rung up and you're left standing there wondering why your bill was so much higher for 2 already expensive small sandwiches until counter person announces upon payment 'and that includes the 18% gratuity.' HUH??? It's not like you're receiving full service dining in any shape, form or manner and I'm fairly sure it MUST be stated on all menus etc so guests can be made aware. I never write negative reviews for small businesses, I usually just don't go back, but this seems intentionally misleading.

Cozy little place wonderful little shop with extra items from all over the world! atmosphere was good a little loud for the small spaces inside. and great staff minus the angry Russian guy who I assume to be the owner saying you cannot put any toppings on my sandwich. Such a simple request. Especially when we just spent 100$ for food, But won't allow it. When other sandwiches on the menu have lettuce etc. and to top it all off there is an 18% gratuity fee for 0 services provided!!!! There are no servers. No one busses your table. No one is refilling your drink. What exactly is the 18% gratuity for? Other than extra pocket change for the owner.
