We found this trattoria online and, intrigued by the excellent photos and reviews, we called to see if they had availability. Arriving there from Giaveno, a short distance away, we sampled several of their dishes, partly on the recommendation of the owners, who were extremely kind and gave us detailed descriptions of the place and their various dishes, many of which come directly from their gardens and, in any case, from nearby. Truly a delightful place and welcome, even towards our dog (who even earned little pieces of braised meat). We'll definitely be returning!! 😍
We decided to spend Halloween away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, and with a huge craving for porcini mushrooms, we stumbled upon this trattoria after a Google search. Its location is a bit inconvenient, a mountain village just above Giaveno (Turin), but I can assure you it's worth it, even if it means going in the dead of winter on an icy road. When we arrived, we were greeted by a kind lady who was very courteous and available to answer any of our questions. His Majesty the Porcini mushroom reigns supreme on the menu at this trattoria, which is very homey yet very welcoming and warm. The dishes are generous and tasty; we ordered a mixed mushroom antipasto, fresh tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and fried porcini mushrooms with baked potatoes. All were delicious, and, I repeat, generous portions at fair prices. Wild boar is also on the menu, and looking at the wild boar-based dishes being served to other customers, they looked very inviting. Unfortunately, we didn't try them, but we definitely will on our next trips because we'll be returning often. Finally, when we were at the register, the owner offered our child a free first course and didn't charge us for the cover charge, saving us a total of about fifteen euros. This shows real skill, knowing how to attract and keep customers, in addition to the deliciousness of their dishes. Obviously, given the location, reservations are recommended. Highly recommended, practically perfect. All I could do to return the hospitality I received was send the restaurant's number and location to all my contacts. September 2025: After a couple of years, we returned. The owners' same courtesy and the same quality of their products, always delicious! Always highly recommended!
A truly delightful restaurant, where mushrooms were the true stars of the dinner. From the first courses to the second courses, every dish showcased them to their fullest: fragrant, well-cooked, and capable of giving character to each course without ever being heavy. The tagliatelle with mushrooms was creamy and balanced, while the second courses naturally showcased them, accompanying them with flavor. The service was simple but always attentive, with kind and helpful staff who made the experience even more enjoyable. The welcoming atmosphere and good value complete the picture. A place I recommend to those who love authentic flavors and want to feel welcomed without frills, but with great care. THANK YOU so much!
We really appreciated the courtesy of the staff, especially the owner. As for the food, we tried a bit of everything with mushrooms; the tagliarin are fantastic, as is their breaded porcini mushrooms. Their zabaglione tiramisu is also very good. What can I say? We'll definitely be back.
6/9/25. I celebrated my birthday with family, relatives, and friends at this restaurant, which I specifically chose based on a very positive previous experience. The exterior and entrance to the restaurant have a vintage feel. Going down the stairs, there are two very beautiful rooms. The first is smaller but has a stunning panoramic view with beautiful windows, the second has fewer windows but a panoramic balcony and is more spacious. The rooms are clean, with two restrooms, one adjacent to the rooms and one near the entrance to the restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming, the owners are kind and very helpful, and many compliments to the kitchen staff and the chef for the excellent dishes they prepared. She satisfied every palate and created a menu especially for the event, which was a great success. The food was excellent and of high quality (the risotto with blueberries and gorgonzola was top-notch), and the service was good, with a few small imperfections. I thank everyone for making my birthday truly special. We will be back to try other dishes. Highly recommended place.
I've been to this restaurant twice now, and each time it's been a delightful culinary experience. The service is excellent, the staff knowledgeable. Silvia, the owner, is truly the perfect hostess. The location is one of the most charming in the area: a small village, a bell tower surrounded by greenery, where you can breathe in the peaceful atmosphere and the food is delicious! Highly recommended, because the food here is truly prepared with passion and local expertise. Well done.
My partner Davide and I always love coming here... The food is very fresh and authentic, and the owners and their daughter are very professional, friendly, and nice. Even the young man who served us is very talented and professional! Today I had tomato and arugula gnocchi and a delicious tarte tatin, while Davide had wild boar and baked potatoes. We loved the idea of starting the new year eating there, and as always, we were delighted 🥳☺️😊
What can I say? Everything is wonderful and delicious... I've been a customer at the legendary trattoria "Il Campanile" for years... the food is excellent, fresh, and above all, generous. Silvia, in addition to being a professional in the industry, is friendly and helpful. A truly pleasant, clean place with a spectacular view.

Bagnacauda was excellent. The mushroom flan was truly delicious (and it was much appreciated that there were two). The wild boar stew was simply sublime. At the end of the meal, we were offered some very good local liqueurs. I highly recommend it, also for the lovely atmosphere and the super helpful and friendly staff.
I loved it. The food is good, plentiful, and high-quality. The staff is friendly and attentive. Raffaele, very professional. Excellent service. The owner is a character! We enjoyed a lovely plate of mixed Piedmontese antipasti. The roast pork was spectacular, we had seconds. The blueberry stew was delicious. The desserts were delicious. I had a fantastic blueberry tart, and the zabaglione was also very good. The price was good, in fact they even gave you a discount! The place is welcoming, you can smell the scents of the forest under a canopy of stars. It's cool outside in the evening, so I recommend a sweater. I highly recommend it; we've become regulars, even during the week. Parking is ok, under the bell tower when arriving from the main road.
Anyone who wants to enjoy a true Piedmontese merenda sinoira (a traditional Piedmontese snack) should definitely visit this place. The portions are always generous, with a regular flow of truly tasty dishes, reflecting true Piedmontese tradition. The place is located in a natural setting where tranquility still reigns supreme. The friendly, welcoming owners and highly professional staff complete a tasteful evening. Prices are absolutely proportionate to the quantity and, above all, the quality of the food served. For dessert? I can recommend the stuffed peaches! They remind me of how my grandmother used to make them—exactly the same! Congratulations!
A very nice and welcoming restaurant, the staff is very friendly, and the price isn't too high. The food is really good, fresh, and tasty. The first photo shows just the appetizers, the second shows the trout fillet with balsamic vinegar, and the third shows the cooked peaches, chocolate, and amaretti biscuits. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is just a few kilometers from Giaveno. From the outside, it looks like a classic country farmhouse. Inside, the dining room where we dined is beautiful and well-maintained. The all-glass view of the valley is stunning. The owners and staff are friendly, approachable without being overbearing. The food selection isn't extensive but adequate. The ingredients are good quality and the portions are decidedly generous. The tomato and arugula rice was a bit so-so; it was good, but those who ordered it were expecting something a bit more elaborate. Special mention goes to the Piedmontese antipasto, which was excellent. In addition to the house wine, which can help keep the bill down, there's a very extensive wine list. In addition to the Arneis in bulk (good), we also ordered a bottle of Barbera d'Alba superiore, which passed the test. The bill is reasonable for the selection and, if you think about it, even below average. Overall, we were quite satisfied, so I think it's worth a try.

Returning with a group after two years, the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms improved, abundant and well-mixed. On the other hand, the porcini mushroom risotto, specifically requested as an off-menu item for five, was disappointing. The rice was poor quality (not Carnaroli), not well-creamed, and the flavor of the vegetable broth prevailed. The fried porcini mushrooms were also disappointing, tasteless. The large-cut sautéed mushrooms were better. The porcini mushroom flan was also disappointing, with its dark, flavorless cheese. The Vinchio Vaglio red wine, unusually poor quality and acidic. Overall, I don't know if I'll return.
