On the Saturday we visited their location wasn't overly busy, so we were able to be seated as soon as we arrived. Service went pretty smoothly; we received our drinks quickly along with some bread for the table. The appetizers were alright, the calamari dish was cooked just right & the sauces it came with were good, the spinach dip was basic, but we all liked the cheesy dipping bread like chips it came with. For our main courses, everyone really enjoyed the meal they picked out. Portions were large & filling and no one had any complaints on how the food was cooked. There were six of us and in total I would say we were here for about an hour. The restaurant itself was clean, the chairs were comfortable, and staff/guests generally seemed to be in a good mood.
I enjoyed our meal and service here. Ashlyn was our server and she rocked it. Our table got all different plates and we all tried different items and all were delicious. Huge portions! Pretty kid friendly, little more upscale than a normal Italian place but not like UPSCALE. I’d go back.
Great dinner night out atmosphere. Nice family restaurant, Jessica G was so sweet and attentive! It’s great to have staff so pleasant; the whole experience is so enjoyable. The food is so good. My husband & I both had the lasagna this time. It’s plenty of food. A little over half of mine is going home with me while we had some table bread and oils with it! See you soon Brio! 😍
My daughter & I stopped in for lunch. This was actually our first time here! Max was our server. He was fantastic! Extremely attentive, friendly, and personable. Our food was delicious. We started with the Margherita Flatbread. I ordered the Alfredo. My daughter order the Bolognese. Everything was delicious! 10/10, and we will be back.
We had a party of 10 plus people. So, that's a challenge for a place to keep up, but the server and her helpers were on point the whole time, never without a drink, food was correct, made properly and they split the tab 6 separate ways like it was nothing. Lots of options out there, but Brio didn't disappoint.
We went here for a birthday dinner. This was our first time here and we went in the evening on a weekday. We were sat immediately. This place is huge and open atmosphere. The music was just the right level. Our server, Adair was spectacular, very attentive, polite , well mannered and very humble. Immediately I could tell he was there type of person who want to make your experience a delightful one. He offered tips and suggestions . Didn't even try to upsell or push anything on you. When I come back, I would trust Adair with his recommendations.
I went during happy hour and enjoyed excellent food and service! Matt and Ken were both helpful employees and provided quick service and kind conversation.
Max was incredible and helped me figure out the menu. He recommended the Gorgonzola rack of lamb and it was perfect. I paired it with a Vodka pasta and both were splendid a combo. Would definitely recommend 👌
We had a wonderful evening at Brio… the food was really delicious, Shelly our server made lithe whole night fun and made us feel so welcome… I highly recommend this restaurant for food service and atmosphere :)
Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Friendly & Attentive Staff. Our server Max was professional and highly efficient. We came here for our 5 year anniversary and got Lasagna & Chicken Alfredo, delicious. The Calamari was wonderful despite not being big seafood fans. Will be returning
Max was an incredible server!!! We loved him so much!!! His recommendations for our entrees were perfect. Hot, fresh and delicious food!!! Even better service!!
Best customer service from Alicia! My mom and I came in for happy hour on a Tuesday evening and had a great experience! We used to be frequent diners but then stopped because we were consistently getting bad service. I don't know about others, but when I go out to eat, I expect awesome service. Otherwise I can stay home and cook myself. Alicia was friendly, attentive, answered questions about the menu, and offered suggestions. She never rushed us. I was so impressed I'm back again this week! Brio make sure to reward her for excellent service. She's an example for servers everywhere! You now have two return customers! Oh and please keep the all day, every day happy hour! Your burgers are the best too!
5 star reviews can be hard to offer up, however I've made an exception for Brio Italian Grille. The food is immensely flavorful and mouth watering. The atmosphere is peaceful, light and vaguely moody (in an Italian way). With options to be seated both inside and outside, you can find comfort anywhere here. Our server Maxwas prompt, helpful and made excellent suggestions.
My family and I come to Brio and we're never disappointed. The food is always solid and consistent. The restaurant is always clean and the atmosphere is always on point whether we are enjoying dinner or lunch. We were lucky to have Jaedon as our server and he was absolutely incredible. He was attentive, kind, and took really great care of our family of six. We look forward to having him as our server again in the future!
Was there on Wednesday. Food was great. Our server Taylor was amazing. She was very attentive and friendly. She made sure our drinks were refilled and everything came out correctly. She made the experience really enjoyable.
Monday 5:00 reservation and we were one of two tables in a large restaurant. Maybe 4-6 tables outside. Our waiter was very good. We've eaten here several times and this is the first time we've been disappointed. The two bread plates were stuck together with food remains. When the bread basket came the base was smeared with food. Adair, our waiter, was very apologetic and replaced the basket and plates. Had the lasagna a number of times and loved it, but tonight it was prepared differently; the noodles were overdone and hard/ chewy. Salads were excellent and the chicken marsala was very good. I would also recommend the peach bellini. I have never seen this restaurant so underutilized. We chose this for our wedding anniversary dinner and left feeling 'meh' when it has previously been truly an outstanding dining experience.
Idk, I been here years ago, didn't love it.. came again for a Christmas party dinner, still didn't love it. Just very basic to me. 4 ppl, one had pizza, 2 had lasagna and i honestly can't even remember what I ordered.. oh yeah sausage rigatoni, which obviously nothing amazing. I did like the caramel dessert!
Came in with a party of 7, immediately got the vibe that our server (Alisa I believe) couldn’t care less the be there. She was kind but the service was not there. We ordered drinks immediately when we sat down, took about 15 minutes (per round) to receive our drinks. 2 drinks (a wine and a spritzer) was unavailable. Our server did not tell us this till 10 minutes into our drink order. The people in our party that did not receive their original ordered drinks waited about 25 minutes for their first round of drinks. In general the drinks took forever, I think it was more on our server than waiting in the bartenders. I think she just forgot to grab them from the bar. We ordered an appetizer (artichoke drip). It was pretty good and came out pretty quick. We did noticed other tables had bread which we ended up having to ask for a basket. When it came to ordering 2 guests ordered salads that we never received. The food took some time to come out which is to be expected. About half of our group said their food was room temperature when they received it. We had to ask for cheese and she only offered it to half our group before walking away. Overall the food was okay, but the service was not great. I may be coming back if I had no where else to go.
We had reservations for Friday night and arrived right on time, yet the experience quickly went downhill. The atmosphere itself is nice and has a good vibe. I was meeting clients there and initially felt optimistic. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow—truly slower than molasses. Our server, Laura, was rarely seen. We ordered drinks, and after an excessive wait, we had to get up and find her to ask where they were. The same thing happened when my friend ordered a second drink—we again had to track her down. When our dinners were served, we had chosen salads as our side. They did not arrive with the meal. Once again, we had to ask Laura where our side salads were. They were eventually brought out after our entrées were already on the table, which only added to the frustration. The service throughout the evening was unacceptable. The food itself was average at best and disappointing for the price point. We ordered the beef medallions medium, and they arrived well done. At that stage, we didn’t even bother sending them back. What stood out most was the contrast with nearby restaurants. Many places around us were packed, with people waiting outside. After this experience, it became very clear why customers were choosing those other options. After looking through recent reviews, we noticed roughly 10 one-star reviews in the last 30 days alone, which makes it apparent this was not a one-off situation. In a market this competitive, restaurants often only get one shot. I live in North Scottsdale, and with so many excellent dining options closer to home—and even nearby in Gilbert—there is no reason to drive back for this experience. When you go out to dinner—especially when entertaining clients—you expect timely service and to receive your meal prepared the way it was ordered. That did not happen here. We won’t be returning.
We visited BRIO Italian Grille in Gilbert, Arizona for my birthday lunch and were the first guests seated when the restaurant opened. Unfortunately, despite the slow start to service volume, our experience was disappointing. We ordered an appetizer, which came out within a reasonable time and was the only positive part of our visit. However, the issue began with our main course. We ordered Chicken Limone, a fairly simple dish with nothing particularly complex or time-consuming in its preparation. To our surprise, it took approximately 45 minutes for the entrée to be served. What made this even more frustrating was the fact that the restaurant was still very quiet at the time. Being the first table seated, we expected a much smoother and more efficient service, especially during lunch hours when time matters. There was no proactive communication or explanation for the delay, and we had to wait without any updates, which added to the disappointment. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, especially considering BRIO’s reputation and the simplicity of the order. We were really hoping for a better service, but the long wait time and lack of urgency or communication made this visit underwhelming. Unfortunately, it left us questioning whether we would return for another lunch service.
