Walking into the restaurant I felt like I was going back to a few decades ago because of the low lighting in parts, big ample booths, light music, and friendly staff… and then there’s the MENU! There are at least a dozen things I want to try and that’s just from one side of the menu. The servings are gigantic but the prices are not. I will return for sure as a new go-to! I’m a bit of a stroganoff connoisseur and really the meat is tender with no fat or gristle and bite sized. The egg noodles were cooked perfectly and I’m also a noodle aficionado. this. this is my third time to the nugget and my third time ordering the stroganoff! Need I say more? Oh yes, there’s enough for three people in that bowl.🤭

Decided to come here based on reviews for dinner. And we were not disappointed. We had the regular burger and the Santa Fe chicken salad. It was made very well. It truly hit the spot. I do recommend and I would come back.

It was a great place to eat. The food was great. After we got our food we didn't see our server until we were done eating, so that was the only down side. We did need a couple things, so not seeing him just bumped the service rating down a bit.

This is a cool place. They had a vibe and went for it. Its not my style, but I can appreciate it. I simply went for a burger though. The staff was spectacular, and it seemed like they covered down for each other where needed, so kudos to them. I certainly went at a busy time, unintentionally but the food wasnt rushed or really late. The burger and fries were absolutely delicious, I couldn't even have a modicum of decency haha.

Eat there twice. Prime rib special was one of the best I've ever had. We arrived with a large group at 6:30 pm on a Saturday and were promptly accommodated.

Absolutely love this place. It's my Hangout in the evenings and go there for lunch often. The food is super good and they are willing to make things all a cart if you're wanting to eat a little healthier or get something special!

We've always enjoyed our meals and atmosphere at the Nugget. This time I had the crunch burger and a wedge.. Normally I have a house special beef stroganoff.. I'll have both again some time.. We've always seated and parked fast and easy at the Nugget.. Flight Line had no room for us nor parking.

Don’t be fooled by the name! This place is actually incredible! Happy hour IPA is $4.50! That’s awesome! Our server was great and attentive. Food was awesome. Give this place a try!

Been here a few times now. They have so many good options for food on the menu. Haven't tried them all for you'll have plenty of options. Service is superb too. Parking around it is limited though so when it is busy parking will be at a premium.

The Nugget Bar and Grill in Goleta is a great place to eat. As a matter of fact my Wife and I were on vacation in The Goleta area and had Dinner at The Nugget twice. We were happily surprised by how good the food was! Really good! The first time I had, Kent's Chopped Steak, which was a full pound of perfectly cooked ground beef smothered with caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms. Yum, Yum!! Plus, I had a nice serving of mashed potatoes steamed vegetables. It was Great! We were also well served by an excellent waitress, Krys, who not only did an excellent job of serving the food and so on, but was also very hospitable and we really enjoyed our whole experience at The Nugget. So much, that we went back a second night and I had Beef Stroganoff, excellent and delicious and my Wife had Chicken Marsala the first night and an excellent burger with fries and said it was the best burger she'd ever had. Wow! And she's hard to please! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE NUGGET IN GOLETA!

The food was hot the drinks were cold and the service was friendly. We had the fried fish, chicken picatta and our kids had the burger. Everything was excellent in quality and tasted perfectly prepared. Our sever Alison was attentive and kind. We also had the a beer on tap and tried the blood orange margarita. We love the Nugget and will be there again soon.

The place is cozy. The staff are very cool. The pours seem generous, and the menu is appealing. I was there to watch the Super Bowl. Originally there were only two in my group, but over the afternoon and evening, about 15 of my associates came and went. We were meeting in Santa Barbara the next day for a company function, and about half the group hadn't met the other half previously cause we were coming in to town literally from all over the world. Throughout this, my buddy and I remained, watching the game. Various local regulars also came in and went over the evening, and that crowd was friendly and good natured. The TV above the bar was fine for watching football, albeit with an occasional audio glitch. The decor in the outdoor entertaining area was... creepy. The girl who kept serving us behind the bar was patient, and did a great job. All in all, I think everyone in my group had a great time. I won't hesitate to go back if I'm ever in the area again.

Absolutely DELICIOUS!! My family and I are still talking about how amazing the ahi tuna tacos were as well as the rest of our meal! Great portion sizes, friendly service and reasonable waiting time. Plus they have a nice atmosphere for outdoor dining.

We had the Bob’s Burger (amazing) ceviche (phenomenal) coconut shrimp, and the Chicken Marsala (delicious). The staff and service was excellent. Very attentive. Oh and the drinks were amazing and great prices!!

We came through with a table of 10. We were originally sat inside, but wanted to move outside. We knew that could be inconvenient, but Taylor didn’t mind at all and helped us get things together. Taylor was fantastic, funny, and personable. Probably best bar food we have had in a LONG time, stay away from the margaritas though… Taylor and the food were amazing!!

I sat at the bar, grabbed a couple beers, chili bowl and beef strogonaff. Chili was excellent. It had a nice kick and had pieces of beef. The beef strogonaff had thick pieces of meat and was delicious.

This is a classic place to eat in either Santa Barbara or Summerland. It has been around for years and it's still a great place to grab lunch or dinner if you're looking for a great hamburger, sandwich or soup and salad. It has a hole in the wall charm and is very popular with the locals, so if you're planning on eating here, make sure you give yourself time to enjoy it.

I stumbled upon this place while looking for dinner on a Friday evening. It was the only place I saw that had a crowd. The food was on point. I had the sirloin. The crowd seemed like a local group and were fun to pass the evening bantering together. Bartenders were accommodating and had a good sense of humor.

Drea was the best server we've had at any restaurant in many years. It was our first time dining and we had a few questions. Drea had excellent recommendations/suggestions. I was torn between a couple dishes and she recommended putting the chicken over pasta instead of 2 sides. She asked if we wanted more sauce, to go drink containers, and more. She had the BEST suggestions. The place was as you'd expect - comfort food, license plates adorn the walls, etc. Food was good. Drea was excellent!

It’s no surprise that The Nugget is always filled with diners. The food choices are many and delicious The service is always friendly and prompt. We had the full rack of baby back ribs each and onion rings- a super tasty meal. Even fussy patrons will find The Nugget’s menu to their taste!

We stopped here to eat on our way to Los Angeles. I'm glad we did! I had the Nugget Turkey Bacon Club which was excellent. Bacon was crispy, produce was fresh and the turkey was thick and juicy! I also ordered their Mac and cheese appetizer, the cheese was creamy and flavorful. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food came out fast! I would definitely come here again.

We had a great time at nugget, me and my mom were in town for my brothers birthday, we normally have a family dinner for his birthday.this year we just wanted my brother to relax and not cook.we decided to give nugget a try very welcoming atmosphere I thought Its just a bar and grill kind of place. The service was awesome I hate that I don't remember the waitress's name but she was so friendly. My brother his wife,me and my mom have all worked in the food industry so we always pay attention to the wait staff and cooking staff for details. This place didn't let down we ordered some appetizer and the portion are a nice size and great for sharing. We almost didn't have to order dinner (almost) my brother had angels pork chop it was so juicy,and seasoned perfectly, my sister in law had a tri tip sandwich and loved it.my mother had the fish and was so satisfied with all her food. I had the patty melt it was delicious my meat was cooked just how I liked I sub the grilled onions for mushrooms I loved it. The drinks are cheap and good and the food is even better. They have an outside dinning area that is great as well. At the end the night the wait staff sung to my brother and we all had a great time. It was definitely a place we are coming back to. My office mates and I have been coming for lunch here for years. They have burgers, sandwiches, and great salads. It's usually quite busy but that's because the food is tasty and portions are generous. It's not cheap or fast but good. Decor is cute too. The french fries are the best! Recommend!

Pretty sure I have 3 servers, all top-performers! Never waited or needed anything. Drinks are generous as are the meaningful food selection. I ordered the “chopped steak” with mushrooms and onions, opted for the spring salad with oil and vinegar and steamed vegetables. So, essentially a highly-nutritious, anti-inflammatory and healthful meal. Not overly salted, and melted real butter upon request. This place is brilliant! Just need to negotiate a personal condo above this place and franchise this throughout the world. P.S.,…the other patrons were all top notch too.

The nugget has been a go to restaurant for me and my dad for more then at least 8 years, but the experience we had tonight was definitely one of the best. Taylor was our waiter and throughout the whole night, he was really polite, enthusiastic, and helpful! The food was also great as usual. We hope to see Taylor again in future visits!

There's a lot to unpack here. The Nugget in Goleta is like Harry's younger brother. It's an institution packed with history, with a nice patio. Let's talk about that chicken parmesean. Do you like pasta sauce with extra garlic and fresh tasting oregano? Get the chiky parm and I highly recommend the mashed potatoes as one of the sides. and the combo of those potaotes with that pasta sauce is amore

Honestly one of the most comfortable dining experiences here, staff are great and attentive. The drinks are consistently delicious. Definetly go for the Buffalo wings they just know how a proper wing should be made !

First off I want to start by saying WOW! It has been years that I've be in a restaurant for the first time and all servers(young) Are absolutely excellent. I witnessed a young gentleman server my guess early 20s walk back to the table because the couple had left a substantial tip. He checked and sure enough was a oops. Nobody does that anymore. I've been checked on by 3 other servers besides my own. Most nowadays walk right past if you're not there table. So thank you to the wonderful staff. Great job!! I will definitely be back. Sorry so long but was deserved:)

I met my GF at this restaurant for lunch. We ordered the halibut sandwich and the halibut entree. The sandwich came with french fries, the entree came with coleslaw and I ordered a side salad. Everything tasted wonderful, and our waiter was very attentive throughout our meal. Great local restaurant to dine at. Will be back when I visit Santa Barbara.

We had a very nice dinner on a Saturday night after a game at UCSB. We found this place in Google & it had a lot of good reviews. Two of us got the Prime Rib, which was off the charts good & a huge cut. The third person in our group got the 16oz T-Bone steak that was equally as good. The potato skins appetizer was good as well & we tried a cup of Clam Chowder that was outstanding. The vibes were just what we were looking for... a bit of a western feel.

The fantastic atmosphere set the tone, and from there it only got better. The wait staff is epic, and it shows they enjoy what they do. The food is terrific, and I will be back every time I am in Santa Barbara. If you are in the area, I would encourage a visit. You will not be disappointed unless you don't like good food and service.

Favorite places whenever in town. Frequent by locals, but mostly elders and retirees. Service is always efficient and friendly. Typical Americana with a pinch of Southern cooking and Mexican influence. Tips: check out the decor, poster, license plates, especially those placed inside the restrooms.

Have enjoyed many meals at both locations over the yrs. My only suggestion would be "think hunting lodge" interior decor... some people would find this atmosphere kinda Creepy w/all the wall mounted eyes staring.

I had the Cobb salad and a side of onion rings. Both were very good. Bartender was friendly and seemed to know the locals.

Fun locals dive to take family and kiddos. The atmosphere is eclectic, western with wall mounted animals, saddles, spurs and historic, local paraphernalia. Crayons and paper are available for kids to keep them busy until food arrives. Food is served quickly and staff is always friendly!

Unfortunately the best hot wings are now hard to find they switch the wings in n out you don't know if your going to get the good small crispy ones of the huge gross undercooked and raw fat ones. This needs to be set straight. Keep the good ones I think it's pretty simple. Great service though replaced my raw wings with steak bites. I'm a local and I really hope to see the wings get back where they belong. ON THE TOP TIER

Cool local spot with a good bar and good burgers. Sandwiches are also above average. Prices can be a bit high. I have returned a few times since my original review and I have upgraded it to 4 stars. The prime rib special on Friday/Saturday nights is great. The steaks are good also. Service is usually good here.

The place is not huge and the parking, let's face it is even worse so plan accordingly. The wait was not long surprisingly even for a party of 4. They did happen to take a while to get our drink order and by the time the waiter came through we ordered our meal as well. Our food came out shockingly fast. Everything was picturesque to say the least, but full of flavor. Everything from burgers to fried chicken was cooked perfectly. The ambience seemed to say it was more of a local hangout spot for all ages and the place to be even on a Thursday night. Nonetheless it was a decent night and I would probably still come back again.

My husband and I have been here a few of times since we arrived in Goleta. It has a nice atmosphere and the staff are pleasant and attentive. Our waitress remembered our order after our first visit! We can recommend the pastrami sandwich with onion rings and the fish tacos are tasty too. There's a bar with TVs for the sports fans and a spacious seating area. It's always buzzing at lunch and dinner times so I guess all these folks can't be wrong! See you down there!

The theme of the restaurant is pretty cool. Old pictures of SB and cowboy western. The service was good. The food was okay in my opinion. An average chicken sandwich.

The Nugget is a solid local joint. It's not fancy. Enter and there is a bar to your left and tables to the right. Plus a healthy-sized patio out back that is a touch close to the freeway, but not bad. Our server today was a super helpful and friendly. He earned the 4th star in this review. He did a great job. As for food there are lots of burgers and sandwiches. I've tried a burger and a french dip, both solid if unspectacular. Eating out is getting expensive and the Nug isn't that cheap anymore. All in, I'll return.

Good food, decent service. Had the ahi steak with a side of mashed potatoes. The sauce on the ahi was killer, but the steak was an odd cut with connective tissue and a bit over cooked. Outdoor patio is ok, indoor seems nicer.

The babyback ribs were excellent! And the service was great. A friend and I met up for dinner early. It was a little loud because of Happy Hour, so go a little later if you want to visit over dinner with a friend.

Went to the Nugget for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I just didn't expect much but we were treated with exceptional service. We ordered chips salsa and guacamole as a starter; they make the chips there. They came fresh and warm. Our family has a number of different entrees and they were all excellent. I love pulled pork and most places don't make it good but they do and the sandwich was very big. I also like that they serve local beers and wines in addition to others. They actually got my order wrong and brought me out a burger instead of the pulled pork. The server owned the mistake and I had my pulled pork out quickly. He even took that off of our bill which I didn't expect. They also work as a team well, bringing out food and other assistance. Good work model which seems to work. Also the employees seemed like they were enjoying themselves, all pleasant. We sat on the outdoor patio which has heaters. Great place, casual, great food and service.

My experience was largely fine. The food was fine, service was fine, etc. But, for the love of God, whoever in the kitchen is going absolutely HAM with the garlic and onion powder on the mashed potatoes, PLEASE STOP. It's disgusting. My mouth tasted like feet for hours afterwards.

Overall it's a great place. However yesterday was a little disappointing. The beer cooler wasn't working well and the fish and chips were not crispy. A bit soft even. However the fries aka chips were very good. Service was great. Just reopening for inside dinning, so that's most likely why little off they're game. Great restaurant most of the time. Still a go to.

The food was okay. it wasn't bad just not as good as I was expecting based on the reviews. I had the pasta pomodore with shrimp and the salmon with a baked potato. the salmon was a little dry but tasted okay. the pasta wasn't overcooked but which I appreciated but the shrimp wasn't cooked long enough for my taste. I was expecting a nice grilled texture but it was more like boiled. I probably would not go back.

The food was good but I've never had such an ill-mannered waitress. She responded to us as if we were beneath her (even shaking her head as she walked away from our table) and the service was slow and neglectful.

It's been a very long time since our last visit, Pre-Covid, in fact. As we came in, we waited like the sign said, but was interrupted by a bar patron whom got up and walked over and said just have a seat, It's OK I will let the waiter know. Well, we were intrigued by the large menu, I had a taste for crispy chicken, and sure enough, they did not disappoint. My wife had one of the best Tri-Tip Dips saying, "Forget the Onion Rings, I'm going for it!" Well, as we sat and ate, people rolled in, but there was only one waiter. There was a greeter but he got comideared to placing meals. 3 bar tenders, one waiter = a WRENCH IN THE GEARS! We need happy people, not a wrench in gears.

Place needs a good cleaning. Bathrooms are filthy. No one cleans as they good.

We live a block away and sit at the bat to have a martini while waiting for our to go order. Food is consistently fine. Last night I had to ask the hostess if the bartender was servicing the far end of the bar. Jeff was casually talking to another guest with. no eye contact or engagement with any other customers save picking up her neighbor's payment. It was literally 10 minutes before he even acknowledged us, then took our order and made three table drinks before finishing ours. I wanted to let management know privately but there's no Contact Us on their website. We'll be back, but if Jeff is working we'll go elsewhere.

The decor is so fun and kitschy. However there is zero service. Came for a late lunch, not crowded. Waited at hostess stand for ten minutes being ignored. Finally grabbed someone to seat us. Then waited 20 minutes, had to get up and ask for a server. Mediocre cold food and of course the order came out wrong. I’m really surprised a place like this stays in business.

Overpriced, low-quality food and slow service is what you'll get at the Nugget. I had the BBQ ribs for $26. The ribs were bone dry and flavorless except for the sauce. The French fries were also too dry. Avoid this place!

Completely ignored by our server. This place came highly recommended so we were disappointed. The food was mediocre and expensive. The service was terrible of course. I had to go get refills for my family so I should have gotten a tip. And yes we still left a tip. I don't know why.

Food was fine. They allow non ADA dogs in the booths in the dining room. Refuse to abide by state regulations, although posted on the door. Allowed harassment from other tables when asked to move. Probably will not return.

The front of house staff gave me a cold reception. Seems they did not like a person of different race in this restaurant. One waitress or hostess kept giving me cold looks like saying :" you don't belong here" im sorry she felt like that to me.
