Piatti molto curati con ingredienti freschi, birra buona, dolci eccellenti. Devo dire che noi siamo capitati un giorno in cui il rifugio non era molto affollato per cui abbiamo avuto tutte le attenzioni da parte dello staff, gentile e accogliente. Il luogo dove si trova è incantevole (siamo comunque a 2700 metri) e, soprattutto, si fanno incontri di tutti i tipi nelle vicinanze del rifugio: marmotte, stambecchi, muli, pecore, cani. Vale la pena anche solo farci un salto con la seggiovia, anche se noi ci siamo arrivati camminando.

Il rifugio più bello che io sia stata in tutta la mia vita. Cibo buonissimo, lo chef fa dei piatti super gustosi, offrono diversi piatti anche per intolleranti al lattosio, celiachi ecc. Tutto fatto in casa super buono. Personale gentilissimo. Al primo piano c'è anche una vista molto bella. In 24 anni che scio non sono mai stata in un rifugio così bello e non ho mai mangiato così bene... Ho vissuto un sogno!

Delicious pizza & wonderful atmosphere with tremendous friendly service. We were skiing for a week over New Year and came here four lunchtimes. We’ve been over many years in the past and with recent new owners they’re at their best. Special shout out for Luca who was an absolute star and really welcoming. Well worth a visit.

Amazing little bar at altitude. The lady serving us was lovely and the two lads hanging around and helping - and oh my god the beautiful bear-dog living there!!! 🥰 We hiked up there and had some amazing pancakes (Crespelle a'la Valdostana as I've learned!) and a soup, nice beverages, just generally good atmosphere. Love it, can't recommend more.

Locale accogliente, i gestori sono molto gentili e la pizza è davvero molto buona! Sottile ma non troppo, bordi croccanti e materie prime molto gustose. Anche la birra, del San Bernardo, molto buona. Prezzi nella media, coperto, 2 pizze e 2 birre €36. Tolgo una stella per il bagno, tutte turche. Per alcune persone sono comode ma per altre sono davvero un problema, almeno uno dei 4 bagni potrebbe essere convertito in WC.

Management has changed, menu has changed (more upscale and less items on it), prices went up, but it is still the best place to eat on the mountain (or rather more precisely in the Monterosa ski resort). In the pictures you’ll mostly see Pizza (which is to die for) but we also had the duck breast (tender and juicy) and several excellent pastas. The raspberry panacotta and chocolate mousse with berries are a must try! This place also serves good wine and overall is worth the daily trip from Alagna to eat there. Not giving it a full 5 stars because the music was truly, truly horrible each time (and very very loud).

Ogni anno, durante la stagione sciistica sono solita fermarmi in questa baita data la qualità della pizza, la posizione e la gentilezza del personale. Ieri come da consuetudine, ci fermiamo per il pranzo, notando la scritta “nuova gestione”. La pizza è molto buona ma diversa dalla precedente, é stato un vero peccato che abbiamo sostituito la moccetta con la coppa (non è la stessa cosa) il servizio è inesistente dato che si ordina alla cassa e le bibite bisogna ordinarle da sé al bancone rischiando che arrivi prima la pizza. I prezzi sono lievemente aumentati e il locale sembra diventato più “fighettino”. Insomma eravamo soddisfatti più con la vecchia gestione.

Al secondo piano offrono opzioni senza glutine adatte ai celiaci! Io ho preso un hamburger, l’unica cosa non avevano a disposizione il pane senza glutine, ma hanno avuto comunque cura e attenzione nella preparazione anche delle patatine fritte! Una fortuna trovare opzioni gluten free ad alta quota.

Sono ritornato dopo diversi anni e ricordavo un ottimo servizio al tavolo...ora la situazione è completamente cambiata. Erano le 14 ed il ristorante era semi vuoto, il cameriere che ci ha servito al piano superiore era molto indaffarata (forse troppo) e questo lo portava a trascurare i clienti con tempi di attesa inaccettabili. E' venuto al tavolo per 4 volte e poi se ne andava perchè chiamato con la radio...mi sembravano le interviste finte delle Iene...😂😂 ridiamoci su ma c'è da piangere! Alla fine siamo rimansti con TANTA pazienza, solo vista l'ora. Il cibo senza infamia senza lode. Voto 3 ma c'è da lavorare!!!

Rifugio di montagna con scarna scelta di piatti dalla cucina, puntano soprattutto sulle pizze. Noi abbiamo preso una carbonade valdostana con patate… buona, ma non molto tenera. Prezzi altini (tagliatelle con ragù d’anatra a 18€…). Servizio veloce, locale un po’ vecchiotto e sopratutto non tanto caldo… non lo consigliamo particolarmente per una pausa dallo sci!

La scortesia fa da padrona. Appena arrivati, entriamo nella sala e seguiamo le indicazioni "ristorante". Iniziamo a salire le scale e veniamo prontamente richiamati con un "oohhh" tipo quando si chiama il cane, perché la sala su era chiusa. Ovviamente il tutto non segnalato. Ci sediamo, arriva la cameriera, il mio amico ordina una birra e lei: "no prima il mangiare! Poi, il bere..!" Pizze pronte in 2 minuti, chiaramente de-congelate e gnocchi che sembravano calcestruzzo. Prezzi alti. Abbiamo anche assistito ad una discussione dai toni parecchio alti tra proprietari (o dipendenti) ed alcuni clienti al momento del conto. Clienti stranieri ignari del fatto che venivano ripetutamente mandati a quel paese e trattati molto male. Peccato perché il posto sarebbe anche carino... Sconsigliato..

The food is very good and the waiters are suuper nice. However, the owners provide the menu only online and to access it, you shall put your personal data. I think that's an unnecessary privacy invasion and not fully GDPR compliant. I would recommend the bar to remove this "feature" by providing paper menu

If you’re thinking about dining at this restaurant, save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. The service here is downright awful. From the moment you walk in, you’re either ignored or treated as if your presence is an inconvenience. The waitstaff seems more interested in chatting among themselves than actually doing their jobs. Trying to get their attention is like pulling teeth—they walk right past you without so much as a glance. After finally managing to place an order, be prepared to wait an absurd amount of time, even if the restaurant isn’t busy. When your food finally arrives, don’t expect an apology for the delay—because they won’t acknowledge it. Refills? Forget it. Any request you make feels like an impossible task for them. If you enjoy being ignored, disrespected, and waiting endlessly for mediocre food, this is the place for you. Otherwise, take your business somewhere that actually values its customers.

The restaurant was shut, so we ended up at this cafeteria. They served frozen pizza five minutes after we ordered it, and the focaccia showed up late—even though all they had to do was nuke it in the microwave. The waiter? Totally unprofessional. Rude to both the staff and me. He even told the cashier to make the ‘sciura’ pay—FYI, Milanese term for “old lady”. The young waitress was super nice and kept apologizing, probably embarrassed by how unprofessional and invasive her boss (I’m guessing that’s who the waiter was) was acting. Update: Changing my last comment to respond to the owner below. The pizza served that day wasn’t from the restaurant and looked nothing like the ones in the pics. 10 other people at the table were conveying the same. With regards to your “big city guy” lecture, let me reassure that like 90% of skiers in MonteRosa, I’m from the city, and calling a 30-year-old “sciura” is straight-up mocking, period. This whole misunderstanding seems to be on the owner. But seriously, no professional place would ever call a customer—especially not a younger one—“sciura” to their face unless they were trying to be rude. I call my mom “sciura” when she’s getting on my nerves, or I hear the baker in Porta Venezia trash-talking customers with the same word. It’s unprofessional, and no other bar, café, restaurant, or hotel I’ve been to in the region would ever act like that. Cheers.

Unfortunately when we arrived pizza was still given out but no more could be ordered. Moreover, the food initially received was almost cold, and we asked for heating it up. This happened as well to a neighbor table. Additionally it’s even visible for guests who in the team works and who doesn’t. There is a lot of weight on just few shoulders and with some customer service and attention to detail as well as quicklyness, I am sure this can be turned around! The food - despite being coldish at first, was good though.
