For anyone that likes spicy (and a good spicy flavor on top of the heat level) this is a GREAT restaurant. The Thai Spicy Chicken is ABSOLUTE BOMB!!! Also their Fried Rice is quite delicious too.. I haven't tried anything else but these are to DIE FOR!!! Absolute best customer service and very sweet!!! FIVE+ Stars ALL THE WAY
Wow this has to be one of the best Thai joint I’ve been to... I’m here for work training and this spot has been my go to spot for the past couple days... the taste is consistent, the spice level lives up to the scale... I get the drunken noodles combination level 4 or 5 spicy... I recommend it! Give them a try!
We eat at a lot of Thai restaurants and this is by far one of our favorites! The shrimp blankets are a favorite (but sell out quick) and the basil fried rice is our go-to dish. Super nice folks with great service and food!
Had take out. It was amazing!! Great taste. Big portions for the price. We will be back. Thank you !!
So happy to have found this little gem close by in Haslet. The food was delicious and portions are generous. We came at a quiet time and were able to chat with the owner. She is a sweetheart and was genuinely interested in getting to know us. The food was on par or better than the Thai restaurants we frequented in Hawaii. Will definitely be a regular.
The food was delicious, my wife had the chicken Pho, our daughter had the Curry w/avocado, I had the chicken Larb and we split a side of egg rolls. Steady stream of customers picking up their orders attests to the popularity of this little gem located in Haslett.
Got the Combination (Chicken, Pork, and Beef) Pad See Ew and Combination Thai Fried Rice. Both had good portions. Preferred the Thai Fried rice better. You could really get a blend of flavors with the basil and fresh tomatoes. Prices were also affordable compared other Thai places in the area.
OH MY GOODNESS!! This place is PHENOMENAL! The Massaman Curry is OUTSTANDING!! I'm pretty bold and get a 4☆ or 5☆ on the heat, you may want to start with a 2 or 3, first. Everything I've had there is GREAT! Small, casual, with great service.
I got two dishes to go (pad Thai, yellow curry and rice with Thai tea). It was all very delicious. I asked for medium to hot spice level and it was perfect. If I’m in town I’ll go there again!
I adore Mai Tai! We love the pineapple fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoons, and the superior Tai Iced Tea. We come once a week! They don’t play around with spice! It’s perfect every time!
A great place. Started going when it opened a few years back. Can't believe a place like this wound up in a small town like Haslet but we're glad it did. Our favorites include the Pad Thai, Larb (they made it with beef instead if chicken!), and Coconut soup. Service is always friendly and the prices are reasonable. One of our favorites!
Waitresses are always welcoming and friendly. Food is traditional and delicious. You can request each food to be spicy or not based on a level from 1-5. This makes it great for those who love spicy foods and for those who can't tolerate any. Fun fact: Harrison Ford ate here! You'll see a picture of him inside by the door.
They have four or five different varieties of fried rice that are all fantastic. Eventually, I’ll get to the rest of the menu :)
The best Thai Food ive had in a long time. I always test a new Thai resturaunt and order Drunken Noodles to test them. It was excellent. Tasted awesome, a fair price for the portion. Ive been traveling around the country for work, out of 4 cities, the best Ive had in years. I ordered Drunken Noodles level 5 hot. Level 5 was medium for me. Highly recommend for Drunken Noodles. Im going to try Panang Curry tomorrow to test them again and will report back. Went back and ordered Panang Curry, it was awesome.
My recent visit to this Thai restaurant left me utterly impressed and satisfied. The flavors were a delightful explosion of Thai goodness! I couldn't get enough of the yummy Curry Duck and the mouthwatering Mai Thai noodles. The Thai tea was a perfect complement, and I must say, it was truly delicious. The service was top-notch, and the price was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The friendly staff made my experience even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be returning for more of their delectable curry dishes. For those looking to tantalize their taste buds with authentic Thai cuisine, this is the place to be. The Shrimp Pad Thai I had during a takeout order was the best I've ever had, with perfectly cooked shrimp and a delightful blend of flavors. I'm excited to explore more of their Thai options in the future. Although the restaurant currently offers only takeout, the food was served beautifully and piping hot. The attention to detail was evident, and I can't wait to try their other offerings. The cleanliness of the establishment added to the overall positive experience. While there might be some minor disappointments shared by others, my personal experience was exceptional. The spring rolls and fried rice were flavorful and satisfying, and the cashew chicken and sweet and sour chicken were equally delicious. To all the spice enthusiasts out there, rest assured – they don't hold back on the spice! The dishes were perfectly seasoned and left me craving for more. The pineapple fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoons, and Tai Iced Tea were an absolute treat. I've even made it a weekly tradition to savor their culinary delights. For a true Thai culinary journey, this restaurant ticks all the boxes. The Pad Thai and yellow curry were delectable, and the Thai tea was the cherry on top. If I find myself in town again, there's no doubt I'll be returning for another round of flavorsome Thai delights. In a nutshell, if you're in the mood for authentic Thai cuisine that tantalizes your taste buds and warms your heart, this restaurant is a must-visit. Their dedication to delivering great taste and quality shines through in every bite. I'm grateful to have discovered this gem and look forward to many more scrumptious meals to come.
I love it here!!! Everything is good… Pho… Curry… Rice. All really good. Portions are good size. The best part about this place is the owners/operators. Beautiful family. Love those guys.
Live nearby. Have always loved their food. Everything is so good and I love that they let you choose your level of spicy on a 5 point scale. It is now Take out or delivery only but it is still great. Employees are always friendly.
Food was really good, a good amount of food as well.
100% check it out for yourselves. The lady at the front said that they had only opened for 4-5 months, crazy how good they are for that little. Only thing I could say is I wish there was a little more meat or rice with your order. They have options to add more for additional payments.
Tried this place for the first time. Very happy. I got steamed dumplings and they are really nice. Spring rolls were good and good peanut sauce. I got 5-star heat massaman curry and they give enough for three meals worth of curry. Perfect level of heat. Avocado in the curry is a welcome addition that I’m not used to. Great Thai tea. I love Thai food and we just moved local so happy to have a very good Thai place nearby! Edit: Every time I eat here I feel I need to tell people about this place, but I already left this review. Take this edit as me saying they are still consistently amazing and I am very very happy to live close to this place.
I ordered for take out, and found out that that is the only option at this restaurant for now. That being said, the food was excellent. I had Shrimp Pad Thai with bean sprouts and green onions and it was the best that I have had. Served nicely and very hot. I cant wait to try some of the other Thai options.
Both curry’s are made well ! Great taste all blends well . Can’t beat the lunch specials for a local authentic Thai spot.
Everything we have gotten here has been amazing! I have always gotten the pad thai with crispy tofu. The level 2 spicy is perfect! My husband always gets the fried rice and it has a nice smokey flavor to it. My children love the orange chicken. Service is excellent.
I got some takeout today, Pa Thai and Tom Yang, and as someone who loves Thai food myself, it was really awesome-! Thank you for the great meal. Looking forward to enjoying it again during a dine-in experience in January 2024-!
Honestly this place is such a gem. The food portion and flavor have been amazing everytime . I’m glad I found it!
Cute place, delicious food, very friendly and kind staff. It was my first time passing through but I will definitely stop again if I'm in the area!
Some of the BEST Thai food we've had! So much flavor and family owned (their family recipes)! I had the Ginger chicken & the hubby had Thai Spicy. Try it!
Very delicious. Definitely coming back!
Could eat for every meal for a month straight type of place! Awesome people running it as well. Every dish has been loaded with flavor and best pad Thai I’ve ever had!
Food was excellent. I got the (drunken noodle), spice level 3. Egg rolls and dumplings for appetizer. It was all great. Service was on point. It is a very small location, but big on flavor. 4 of us on a Saturday night and there was no waiting for food or drinks! We will be back!
Excellent food, great service. I’m so glad we live close to this place. When I first pulled up I was like, is this…it? I was right and boy I’m glad I came. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and it was piping hot and so delicious. I’ll be back!
Some of the best, most flavorful thai food around! The green curry here is phenomenal
Really good Thai food!!! This is our go to for takeout … my husband loves the orange chicken. Highly recommended!!!
This honestly was hard to stop eating, even after i was full. Food was HOT, even after i got home. PLEASE do yourself a favor and eat here, and get the yellow curry. INCREDIBLE
The food was amazing, it had so much flavor without anything overwhelming the other ingredients 10/10 stars
Great new local with the same taste. Start dine in on Thursday November 13th, 2025. Open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 9pm.
This place never disappoints! Food is so delicious with lots of flavor , the young lady who works there is always very nice and helpful. Went here for a company lunch and I’ve been going back ever since . Definitely a favorite of mine . The Pad Thai is my favorite dish , the drunken noodles ..highly recommend and of course you can never go wrong with the Basil Fried Rice.
New favorite Thai spot! Amazing curry and pad Thai
I decided to try this little restaurant because I have seen quite a few talk about it. I took my brother here a couple of weeks ago and it was delish. We had shrimp spring rolls, I had cashew chicken and he had pad Thai. Everything was seasoned beautifully. You can req how spicy you want your meal, 1-5. This allows you to play with flavor. The food is super fresh and made to order. It is a tiny restaurant but worth the stop for sure.
Just realized how i never left them a review after all these times. Ill make it quick and simple, this place has the best pad thai in dfw. I’ve tried a lot of other places and no one comes close to this flavor. Oh and everyone at this restaurant is nice too
Came here for a work lunch with a customer, little ways from where we were but they said it was really good Thai food. They were not wrong. Started with the shrimp spring rolls, very fresh tasting and the peanut sauce was amazing. It was a little creamier, definitely unique among peanut sauces I’ve had at other Thai restaurants. Then I got the Pad Thai, combo meat, for my meal. More of their delicious sauce and it was awesome all around. The meat was cooked literally perfectly, couldn’t have been done any better, moist and juicy. It was at least top 2 Pad Thai’s I’ve ever had in my life! Wish I would have taken a picture of my food to share. It was spectacular all around! Lastly, the service was great too! Alison (sp?) was friendly, energetic (the right amount), funny, and provided good insight on the food I was considering ordering. Wish there was a carbon copy of Mai Thai by my house, would eat here weekly!
Been going here off and on for years. Off mostly due to COVID. This was a to go order on Christmas Eve. Food is always fresh, hot and tasty. The very nice lady who answered the phone was cheerful, knowledgeable and quick. Always reassuring when you place a to go order. Such a nice break from all the Christmas madness. Going to be eating here more often. The dining area is somewhat small, but definitely cozy, clean and welcoming. You can't go wrong with the curry pineapple rice, usually get it with shrimp. Actually, I've never gotten anything I haven't liked. Go, experiment and enjoy!
I had the Massaman Curry with chickens with an order of eggrolls(4)! The food was fresh and delicious. It tasted exactly how I hoped it would! I really enjoyed the slices of avocado in the dish too! The restaurant was clean and I look forward to bringing my family back here!
After having Thai food at Mai Thai, it’s made me picky about the Thai food I eat because their food is just so much better compared to other places I’ve been to. — they’re temporarily closed and I’ve been missing their food a lot so I just made another check up and decided to review them while doing so —
We usually do take out and it is always very authentic and delicious! Only have eaten in the restaurant once. No complaints. Some of the best Thai food you can get in this area. I would highly recommend this place.
Excellent food. Very slow service on the day I visited..
SO GOOD! I can’t rave about this place enough. The drunken noodles, and crab rangoons are delicious but the Pad kee maow is the best! Prices and portion size are really great too.
Mai Thai is truly a hidden gem! We’ve been regulars for some time, and it never fails to impress. Our go-to dishes are the yellow curry, chicken pad thai, and shrimp spring rolls—each consistently flavorful and well-prepared. The service is excellent, with orders always ready on time. It’s wonderful to support such a well-run, local business in Haslet.
Great food! Great price! This place is small but the food is fantastic. If you didn't know it was there though you would probably drive right by it.
Food was amazing, good level of spice and great flavor. I would go back again
Fantastic Experience here. I had the kow soi and Thai tea highly recommend this. They were busy, but I was in and out quickly. Hot and Fresh
Great food! Service was fine, they were a little overworked but no real complaints. Food MORE than makes up for any minor issues.
Food was AMAZING! We will definitely be back. Nice atmosphere and very clean.
Got the green curry at a spice level 4. Good amount of heat, but delicious. Everything was fresh and balanced. I’ll give 5 a try next time. Staff is pleasant and relaxed. Good place to wind down and have dinner at the end of the day. I never would have expected this quality in Haslet.
Food is always fresh and delicious. My husband and I love the Green Curry and the Drunken Noodles so much. Staff is always sweet, restaurant is always clean.
Mai Thai is our favorite restaurant. It's so nice to have them in a bigger location. Their sausage fried rice and panang curry are to die for!
I can’t believe we did not try this place sooner!! Hands down some of the best Thai food my family enjoyed in long time. We ordered the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Maow, and yellow curry were not disappointed. We have definitely found our new favorite Thai spot!
Truly the best Thai food in all of DFW! From the moment we walked in, the service was so friendly and attentive that it instantly set the tone for an amazing meal. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot needs to be on your list. We tried the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, and both dishes were incredible — the noodles were perfectly soft, the meat was tender, and the vegetables had just the right bite. We finished with the mango sticky rice, which was heavenly and the perfect sweet finish. And the Thai tea? Exactly how it should be: rich, refreshing, and not overly sweet. Everything about this place just hits the mark. Honestly, nothing else compares. We highly recommend it!
Great food! Texture, flavor and just the right amount of food. And I like how you can make some dishes hot / spicy . Ratings to choose from 1 to 5 and I have had 3 as well as 4 and 4 will make you rethink 4 if you don’t like your food hot / spicy. Stick with 3 and under! I will shoot for a 5 one of these days to see what it’s like. And the hot / spicy does not take away from the flavor of the food it just blends perfectly which is always a plus.
was craving Thai, and was not disappointed with my first experience. was greeted immediately as we walked in with available seating to choose from. food is fresh, and the availability to customize "hot" level on a scale of 1 to 5. delicious and affordable food with plenty of options to choose from, friendly staff, and clean dining area. 5 stars all around.
This place was soooo good! We tried 4 different appetizers (egg rolls, spring rolls, crab rangoons and edamame) and they were all super delicious. Had the Thai spicy chicken for dinner and it was exactly what I was craving. Overall we were super impressed with the food and will definitely be back!
Simply amazing food. Try it all! During a recent visit I had the egg rolls and the Pad Thai Chicken 5 star spice. Wowza it’s so amazing. All of it. Great service and super friendly folks here. Please give this place a try as you will not be dissapointed. So, so good! And their dining room is back open for eating in!
I never really ate Thai food until I tried this restaurant. Since then I have had food from other Thai restaurants but I find the Pad Thai and their Mai Thai fried rice are better than any other. I would give them a 5 star review but frequently am disappointed when they don't have their dumplings. They are used in their wonton soup and are amazing but unfortunately are often not available.
Great take out Thai food, used to have dining room but just take out now. Drunken noodle, Tom Ka soup with chicken and two spicy basil fried rice with chicken with a side of crispy chicken egg rolls. . All served hot and fresh.
The food and service is great. Road construction has made.It more difficult to get into the parking lot but the food is with the trouble. I live the cashew chicken with 4 start spiciness. They have good vegetarian options. Only negative to prevent the fifth star in my rating is the building exterior needs a little maintenance.
The food here is always solid, I personally like the pad see ew with pork, and the spring rolls are usually spot on. My only issue is that I've had a pretty long wait most times I've eaten there. Other than that, great place!
The food experience for the first time was very good. The fried dumplings were great and the Pho was very good. The place could use a little updating inside and soft drinks come by the can. While it was clean and those are not negatives, those are points I feel should be known. It turns out I was not the only one to enjoy the meal as Harrison Ford has also enjoyed this little place and liked it. Check the pics on the wall.
Good place for Thai food. We ordered Pad Thai with chicken and spicey level 4 out of 5. And an order of Spring Rolls. It was enough for 2 people to share for lunch. We were disappointed that they didn't serve any soup with the meal like other Thai restaurants we've been to. Dining room was small but cozy. We went for lunch around 12:30 and it was packed. Took a while to get our order. We would definitely go back again. Maybe a little earlier or a little later during lunch.
We order from here consistently and usually the service and food are great. This time the girl who answered was dishonest about missing menu items. This is the third time something was missing from their menu yet advertised by delivery apps. It's odd to get different answers from different people. She was a bit rude about closing times. Pumpkin, we tried to order earlier an hour earlier but it wouldn't go through. I was just disappointed in the teenage attitude. Just as an FYI from two people who worked in food service, you don't ever mention closing times 40 minutes before you close. 5 to 10 minutes is fine but your tone is important. Everyone else I've spoken to is awesome and super nice.
Good food! Very nice gal at the front desk, taking orders to go on the phone and handing me the order. The place needs a BIG TIME MAKEOVER!!! WOW!! I almost thought it was closed down because the 'abandoned' porch at the entrance is an eyesore. I would have loved to sit out there but was afraid of getting a spider, tick, or septic infection. The inside is poorly constructed and not inviting to stay for a sit-down meal. Just order to go... definitely don't invite someone to meet you for lunch.
The food was good. Ask for mild spice if you don’t like spicy food! Their 3 spice level is like a 5. The curry was good.
fried egg rolls 10/10 love how crispy they were and the sauce. Crab Rangoon 5/10 good but a bit inconsistent some didn't have much crab flavor Red curry 10/10 I will be driving 35 minutes just for this curry Pad sewew 10/10 great amount of sauce and the actually gave us heads of broccoli in it not just chunks Over all the food was amazing. They were extremely busy when we were there and we ended up waiting a hour for our food. We talked to the staff and it seemed this was a one off occurrence dude to a very large party. The staff handled it like a champ. Can't wait to go back.
A co-worker and I went here for lunch for the first time. It is a small, family-owned Thai restaurant. They seated us fairly quickly; however, it took quite a while to take our orders. For appetizers, we ordered the egg rolls. The egg rolls were good, but the filling consisted only of noodles and a few pieces of veggies. The dipping sauce that came with the dish was too sweet for our liking; it needed more lime to counterbalance the sweetness. We both ordered the lunch special Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was tasty but could use more of the traditional Pad Thai flavor and a bit more egg. Overall, our experience was pleasurable, though they could use more help during the lunch rush. This is not the place for you if you don’t have an hour or so for lunch.
Small charming restaurant. We ordered the egg rolls and crab rangoon they came hot and tasty but not home made. Then thai fried rice which we ordered w chicken and beef the dish was very good. The pad thai needs improvement does not taste as the original thai recipe. The place was full at lunch w local people making it a very pleasant atmosphere. Their price are excellent and they have BYO bottle is another excellent reason to visit this restaurant. Service was up to point. Only complaint bathrooms, one not working the other needed some cleaning, sure they are working to correct the situation. Will definitely return whenever possible.
I am in this area for work for a week and we tried their Red curry and Pa Nang curry once. It was delicious. I fell in love and decided to get it again before I left this area. This time I had 6 different orders and I wanted separate receipts for each one. The lady acted rude and surprised and nodded her head because I made that request. I was picking up food for my co workers and of course I am going to ask for separate receipts. The food was delicious again and gets 5 stars. But don't expect great customer service. I also wish they delivered. The signs say they do, but they say only after 5 PM.
I got the beef salad and yellow curry, which was good. I went back several times, but I'm noticing there is no consistency in the taste and amount of veggie and seafood in the curry. The beef salad was down right nasty the last time I had it, but was good the previous two times.
After several years of take out only they finally opened up their dining room. We were excited to try it but unfortunately due to my wife’s MSG sensitivity we won’t be back…. We tried to get her meal made MSG FREE (or any form of it ) , but unfortunately it didn’t happen and she had a reaction. I enjoyed my drunken noodles but if my wife can’t eat there without getting ill, we can’t go back ….. other than that if you have no issues with MSG then give this place a try but be prepared to wait a little bit, they are very busy with to go orders.
It was our first time trying this place. I was a little disappointed that they want to charge you a $3.25 up charge to substitute jasmine rice for fried rice. That makes absolutely no sense to me!! The food was ok, not sure if it would be on my top 10 list by no means. I did like how clean the restaurant was but it’s to go ONLY!!
I recently ordered delivery from their new location and was very disappointed in the massaman curry. It used to have avocado and cashews, but mine didn't have any. It really affected the taste. Hope they bring back the old recipe.
I have been to this spot multiple times and for the most part had a pleasant experience. Today was the worst experience ever. The waitress did not seem to be happy to be there or understand customer service. She barely stopped by the table to get the drink order or food order. She then got the food order wrong. I ordered vegetable pad thai and got nothing but noddle's and eggs. That was it. When I brought it to her attention she did not offer to do anything about it and charged me full price. When I called the place to speak with a manager, the same waitress (they only had one in the whole place) answered and refused to get a manager on the phone till I insisted. The manager did not say much besides ok I will talk to her. Just overall poor service and very disappointing.
First time having food at this place, thought I would try it out because the reviews said it was good. I ordered their spring rolls which were okay their dipping sauce was probably the best part. I ordered Chicken Larb and I'm sorry that was the most blandest Thai food I've ever had. I've had Larb numerous times before but this was not even a bit spicy my toddler could eat it which is so unusual for "Thai" food! I honestly felt like I needed to add some salt to give it some type of flavor to even eat it. Waste of money. I won't be back.
We got cashew chicken and sweet and sour chicken, an extra side of fried rice and an order of spring rolls. The spring rolls were very good, so was the fried rice. BUT We ordered this as a to-go and had it delivered. The containers were only half full, with the sweet and sour having a little more than the cashew chicken. I called to complain, thinking maybe they just didn't put enough in which would be the normal expectation. Instead she told me that it's correct, and that because the cashew chicken ingredients are more expensive than sweet and sour, they put less in rather than charging more. Regardless, neither entree had $12 of food, not compared to any other Asian restaurant I have ever ordered food at. Also, I ordered it with a spice level of 0, and this is at least 1, fortunately not more. Also, the entrees supposedly coke with jasmine rice. We got white rice. I called and asked about that, and she told me that they have jasmine rice, that the bag says jasmine rice, but this is white rice. I grew up on white rice, I know what white rice tastes like. I was introduced to jasmine rice, I know what it tastes like. This is white, not jasmine. Maybe their bag is mismarked, but this also tells me someone is not tasting the food in the kitchen or they would know immediately that this is not jasmine rice. Not happy with the entrees, not happy with the customer service.
I tried the food here and I definitely will not return. I’ve never had fried rice that was white, sticky and completely flavorless. I wish I would’ve read the reviews first. One bite and to the trash it went. Highly disappointed but I tried to support a local business that needs more help in the kitchen with making more edible food for customers.
