Great food, decent prices and great service. Our server, Kelsey, was efficient and friendly. She made us feel very welcomed there and made us want to come back.

Enjoyed a laye lunch on the patio with a nice cool breeze in the upper 60's. Enjoyed appetizers, mains and drinks. Overall, it was a great experience as well as a first-time visit. Fried green tomatoes were delightful with a thin crisp batter that held the tomato temperature the entire time it took to eat them. The accompanied sauces were just right. The entrée chose was the blackened chicken sandwich with seasoned fries that was on point as well. Those fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. A delightful salad before the sandwich was enjoyed as well. Spring mix with berries and grilled chicken with a honey based vinegrette. Bottled Guinness was the beer that washed everything down. Our server was very helpful in making decisions for our tasty journey.

Really cool place with a lot of great food options. I had the jambalaya pasta which was really good, albeit a little spicy. If you’re sensitive to spiciness, I would try something else. Wife had the brown butter soft crab which was good. It’s battered and deep fried so make sure you’re ok with that if you order it. Granddaughter had the chicken Alfredo which she devoured, so I guess that was good. And we had the white chocolate bread pudding, also very good. Would definitely come back!

Her recommendations were spot-on—especially the fried green tomato BLT, which was absolutely delicious! And plenty for a midnight snack- She kept my drink full with a smile the whole time. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel both like a valued guest and an old friend, but Kelsey nailed it. The food was incredible, but honestly, her service is what made the night unforgettable. Patio 44 is lucky to have her—I’ll definitely be back and asking for Kelsey every time!

Food was AMAZING! Visiting from Chicago and stopped to this restaurant and it was everything we wanted and more. Atmosphere was great, watermelon margarita was made to perfection, the meal was excellent and I got the chicken pecan dish and the service was superb. Darby was our server and we will visit this restaurant anytime we're back in town.

First time visiting here and I’ll definitely be back. Service and atmosphere was TOP NOTCH, food was really good. I ordered too much but flavor was on point. Only criticism I have is, don’t glaze the pork chop with the BBQ glaze.

Our server Darby went above and beyond to provide an excellent experience for us while we were there, we had a couple mishaps but she truly made sure we were taken care of. And the food was phenomenal!! Great portions. Truly worth the money, I highly recommend!! Thank you again Darby! You were the best ever 🫶🏻

Deejay was our server. He was excellent! He gave great recommendations and was so friendly! The food was delicious, and we loved the environment.

If you’re looking for a spot in Hattiesburg that delivers both quality and quantity, Patio 44 is the place. I went with the pork chop, and it did not disappoint—perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was spot on and paired really well with the sides. But I have to admit, my buddy’s chicken and waffles stole the show. When I say huge, I mean huge—each chicken breast had to be close to a pound and a half. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and drizzled with just the right amount of syrup. It was one of those dishes that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is. Don’t get me wrong, the pork chop was great, but that chicken and waffles is the kind of meal you show up for. Next time I go back (and I definitely will), that’s what I’m ordering. Patio 44 nailed it.

The brunch menu on the weekends is a complete game changer now. The food and drinks were amazing and the service even better. Haley was so sweet attentive and always made sure we were taken care of. :)

Went to Patio 44 for dinner on 12/26/25. I had the 12 oz. New York Strip with mashed potatoes and sweet tea. *Also had Fried Green Tomatoes for an appetizer, but forgot to take a photo*. Food, Service & Atmosphere were all FANTASTIC! Highly recommended!

Deejay is my man! Really sweet guy, very patient. We showed up just before close and he still have us amazing service. The food was great too!

February 22,2026 Hunter was our server she was friendly and very attentive! Very knowledgeable & had recommendations! Hubby & I had to try the weekend brunch & very glad we did! We tried the beignets, pimento & chicken biscuit, avocado toast & the #4 with waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon & hashbrown chunks & had to try the gouda grits! Also Hubby got the bloody mary & I got the jack & coke (I requested the olives)!!!! July 2025 C was our server and she was fantastic! Fast and friendly service with a smile! The pimento bites with pepper jelly was delicious as well as the fried green tomatoes great batter not greasy. The bartender Hunter did an awesome job with my double Jack & coke & my Hubby got the watermelon margarita. Not pictured I got the blt & hubby got the shrimp poboy. We will definitely be back!

Crab fondue & filet with crawfish cream sauce on top..delish! Great atmosphere, family friendly, indoor & outdoor seating, great service! Adrian was such a sweetheart! Definitely coming back!

Our first experience with Patio 44 was in Biloxi. We enjoyed it, so we thought we'd try the one in Hattiesburg and it did not disappoint. My wife and I both ordered the Chicken and Waffles with the signature hot pecan fried chicken. Even though the chicken cuts were breast, they were flavorful and tender with just the right amount of moisture locked in with crispy fried crust. We asked for the sweet pecan glaze and maple syrup on the side which worked very well for us. It allowed us to selectively choose and dollop just the right amount of each for each bite. The pecan glaze was about the consistency of pecan pie filling that has not quite set yet—not firm but also not runny. The only downside, and this is a bit of a nitpick, is that the waffles were a bit stiff, but I think that's because the glaze was meant to come on the chicken which would give a softer texture to the waffle. Even with that, we enjoyed every bite. The restaurant was clean, though the men's restroom could have used some attention. We were seated in an area where the noise level was low which made for pleasant conversation. And, our server Mary was excellent. She was well versed in the menu and drinks, attentive and gave us solid recommendations. It was a solid 7/10 experience. Would recommend and if the good Lord allows, we will be back!

I don't go around giving 5 stars just to any restaurant. This place is a hidden gem. Everytime I've gone it hasn't been crowded. I think that's just because it's in Hattiesburg, MS. The food is excellent the service is fanominal. I have sat at the bar and at a table the service still didn't miss. I timed my drive 2 times now from Alabama to Texas so I could eat there. Do yourself a favor and experience it. You'll thank me later.

Not from Mississippi just here visiting but stopped in for lunch before my flight back home. The vibe, food and service was amazing! Absolutely loved it would definitely come back Kelsey was the sweetest waitress.

Dinner was pretty good!! We had fried green tomatoes, a cup of gumbo, crawfish ettoufee, and shrimp tacos. The gumbo was a very good creole gumbo, just as advertised. The fried green tomatoes were thicker than we liked, but we are from Texas so things are different over there. The 3 shrimp tacos were delicious and just as expected. The crawfish ettoufee was excellent, not too rich, and just enough spice to not let you eat 6 bites in a row without a saltine to go with it. The portion was more than plenty. We had a Hendricks gin/tonic and a Capt Morgan/diet coke to drink - both were spot on. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was superb. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. The food was brought out hot, fresh and timely.

Server Mary did a fantastic job making me and my wife feel comfortable and what can I say just a lovely evening to spend with your loved one.

Took my wife out for our 5th wedding anniversary. I got the potroast philly with gouda grits. Which was awesome. If you get a chance try the sticky chicken. Thank you to our waiter Adrian she's awesome

The food was exceptional. Very very delicious. Ordered pork chops shrimp and steak. All delicious. Had deviled eggs they tasted home made like I had from my Mom. Its expensive but its very much worth it. Will return again hopefully. One of best restaurants ive ever been to. Waitstaff amazing as well.

I had a great experience at Patio 44! I ordered the Catfish and Grits, and it did not disappoint. The catfish was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. A special shoutout to my server, Kelsey, who was attentive, friendly, and made the whole dining experience that much better. Our server, Adrian was awesome...knowledge of the menu, answering all questions, and for things that she couldn't know off the top of her head, she quickly went and got answers for us.

I had the pea sauté and fried green tomatoes for dinner and both were delicious. 3 of my friends ordered the BLT Sandwich, Red beans and Chicken over rice and shrimp tacos. They said theirs was delicious also. The service was outstanding. I believe our server was Tris for dinner. We enjoyed that so much that we went back for brunch the next morning. Eggs Benedict all around and it was amazing along with pineapple mimosas. Kelsey was our server for brunch. Such a beautiful and talented young lady. I would give this place 10 stars!! We visited Patio 44 at noon on a Friday. Sat on the patio and had a great meal. Our waitress, Shelby, was particularly awesome! She was prompt & personable. She overheard that it was our wedding anniversary so she surprised us with a serving of white chocolate bread pudding & 2 spoons. It was so delicious! Great experience. We will definitely return!

Clarissa is exceptional! From our initial greeting til the final bite of dessert, she attended to our every need! You’ve got a gem- hold on to her! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Steaks cooked perfectly and accompaniments were top notch as well.

Got the redfish in the half shell and brussel sprouts and they were amazing. Kids got the fried shrimp and they were amazing also. Service was wonderful and had a great time.

Just love this restaurant!! We went to the one in Gulf Port a while back and loved that one. The food is just exceptional. We had the hot fried pecan chicken. The serving is more than enough to share and out of this world delicious! Our waitress was great. I also loved the outdoor dining space. So very nice!

I got the fried green tomatoes, chicken Alfredo, and pudding. It was all so good and I didn’t have to wait long being served my food. Everything tasted amazing (especially the pudding). My server Adrian was so sweet and attentive. It was just me eating by myself but she was just amazing! I would always want her as my server 🫶

We were promptly seated and greeted by our waitress Kelsey. Kelsey was awesome!! Our cups were never empty, our food came out hot, quick, and looked and tasted amazing, from appetizer, to entrée, and desert. Adrian was such a sweet server!! Love her! Had an amazing anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. The “Bramble On” is seriously one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. 100% worth the price. The food was quick & so, so delicious! Will for sure be coming back:)

This was our first time trying Patio 44 for a date night. You have your choice of outdoor/casual dining or an upscale/indoor more intimate setting. Our waitress, Adrian, suggested the blackened catfish and Gouda grits. It was amazing! I have many other menu items I’d like to try, so we will be back! Be sure to ask for Adrian!

Such good good food! We were just passing by driving home to Dallas, Tx and was looking for some comfort food, and Patio 44 did not disappoint. From the salmon, pasta jambalaya, steak & blackened chicken, everything was so good! Our server Clarissa was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable about the menu, & answered every question we had. she also recommended every entree we ate, and we left satisfied & happy with our meal & the service! Please ask for when you stop in to eat!

First time at Patio 44. Nice restaurant for casual dining. Wide variety in menu to suit any taste. Alfredo pasta with shrimp was super good. Others had burgers they said were good and a shrimp po boy rated good but not great. The homemade onion rings were a don’t miss. Great server. Good outing.

Very good restaurant with the good food variety. I like specially the Catfish, the Redfish and the New York Strip. The atmosphere is very good and also I appreciate a lot the service. I was passing thru on business from Louisiana I’m always looking for a good spot to eat. I arrived a little before 11am it was in a few people there . I was sat inside the place is very nice atmosphere was great . Only there a few minutes and my server came out very nice young lady named Clarissa she was extremely nice made me feel welcomed . I ordered the onion rings for appetizer they were very good . I had a filet with asparagus also very good . The Service from Clarissa was top notch i would say most likely the best I’ve ever had . You have a gem on your hands there Patio 44 ! Thanks

I wanted to love this place but we were not impressed with the food at all. The soft shell crab tasted like flour. The chicken and waffles looked amazing but the chicken had no flavor at all. The pork chop wasn't as bad because it had BBQ sauce. Everyone was very friendly and my drink was very tasty!

It was Jim’s birthday today and we went to a new place for us so he could get some good seafood… I’m allergic to shellfish… he loved his lunch! This place is very attractive, great outdoor patio, way too hot for that today but the inside is very tasteful and very nice! I ordered a grilled pimento cheese sandwich on sourdough bread. When it came I knew I was in trouble!! It was white… pimento cheese should be orange with red specks of red… pimento! I took my fork and tasted it… I have never tasted anything like it! Not in a good way! Let me say the fries were delicious… this gloppy mess was inedible!!! No cheddar cheese, no mayonnaise, very little pimento! Just unseasoned cream cheese! The waitress Aubrey was fantastic!! The manager was gracious and wonderful as well! Enjoyable lunch except for a horrible sandwich! They didn’t charge me for it and we will go back… be warned… stay away from the pimento cheese!!

For the price of the food we got I left disappointed. While the ribeye I got was still tender, it was a little over cooked and had absolutely no flavor. However the jambalaya on the side was like licking a salt block. The appetizer loaded fries were great. The service was mediocre for this type of restaurant as I only got a refill on my drink twice, once when we got our appetizer and once after we got our meal.

Patio 44 is one of our favorite restaurants in Hattiesburg. We brought an out of town guest to brunch last Sunday (her first visit) and unfortunately didn’t have a great experience. We were seated promptly and our server greeted us immediately. While the server was very attentive, the service was extremely slow. Once we were served, the food was cold. Waffles and Eggs Benedict really need to be hot to be enjoyed. I am writing this review to let management know that there were obviously some problems in the kitchen last weekend. I hope they have been addressed so our next visit will earn the usual 5 stars.

I want to preface this by saying that our server (DeeJay) was absolutely amazing. Very attentive and had a smile on at all times. He even entertained my kids which was so sweet. The food was amazing but a little cold. I had the filet and eggs. The filet was so tender and juicy but I wasn't crazy about the honey flavor. I prefer a smokier taste. Everything was great up until the check came. My step dad paid but his card was never brought back to the table. Wound up having to cancel his card.

Traveling and found Patio 44. We thought they had an interesting menu, and it looked great. We were extremely disappointed. We arrived and were seated inside at a table with something wet all over it. We were ignored for about ten minutes. Someone finally wiped off table. Five more minutes or more our server took drink orders and we eventually ordered the pimento cheese fritters and they were delicious. That's the only good thing we had. Duck strips were rubber, Nachos were bad. The chips were fried in bad oil and/or, not fresh. The flavors on top of the chips, not good. Our server was about the worst we have had in a long time. She was cute and friendly but we had to flag her down for anything. Save your time and money.

Start off with the positive. The patio was lovely. The weather was perfect. Our service person was pleasant and attentive. The soft drink and water we drank were top notch. The negative. My crab cakes and asparagus were mostly inedible. The asparagus would not cut with a knife and everything was over salted. DH ordered the special which included tasteless red fish with a watery bowl of seafood on the side.. He said the grits tasted old and the crab on the half shell was also watery. The ants stung me twice but I don’t know what they could do about that. It was a distressing meal and will be hard to forget spending $85 with tip. I’m so sorry I suggested it while, spending the night in Hattiesburg.

Everyone else's in the party said the food was cold. I arrived late, so I didn't experience that. The food was lightly seasoned with minimal flavor. The server never refilled any drinks and was absent most of the night. He mixed up the orders and couldn't organize the cards with the orders. We waited to sign the receipts. We walked to the register to see what's the hold and found all 12 cards sitting on the counter as he walked to the kitchen. The atmosphere was great though.

Reserved a table for 4 people at 5:30 on a Friday. Ordered appetizers right away, didn't get them until 35-40 minutes later. Same with our main dish that took another 30 minutes wait. Food wasn't anything special for that long of a wait. We only liked the appetizers: fried green tomatoes, onion rings, and sticky chicken. I had a waffle and chicken, the serving size was really good except I did not like the syrup and the chicken tasted nothing, so I do not recommend. My fiancé had the pimiento burger, he said it was "ok" nothing special and that it was a little too much for a burger. My dad had their jambalaya, he didn't like it & said the pasta was weird. My mom had the gumbo, it was so salty none of us could eat it. It's like someone poured a box of salt on it. Overall, the service was amazing, but the food is not good definitely not worth wasting your money on unless you're just here for drinks and some snacks.

Sad excuse for chicken sandwich that is $20, meal get 2.5oz piece of chicken that probably is food cost of about .60 cents. Do better

I just got back from a friend's birthday dinner with a party of eight, and we didn't have our order taken for nearly an hour. We arrived at 8pm and it didn't look very busy, at least outside. They didn't have almost any vegetarian options so I ordered onion rings and fries and they both came out ice cold. I was so tired and hungry I didn't bring it up. Our server was very kind and I'm sure very overwhelmed at the end of a busy Saturday. I don't know if they were understaffed or what but everything taking extremely long and coming out ice cold is diabolical for spending $25 on fries and onion rings. Friends really made the atmosphere but dear god I won't be coming back. I again want to emphasize how kind our server was and how quick she was with drinks. I'm sure the speed was an issue with the kitchen or management.

I went here for my graduation with my family and friends. The food and atmosphere were great as well as the service, so I thought. After leaving I left my purse there and returned to get it later on that night to find my graduation money missing and that my purse was rearranged. When I called the staff had no recollection of the purse being found but when going back to retrieve it in person the waitress immediately went and got the purse from the hostess stand. After talking to managers that night, she basically told me that there was nothing that she/they could do. All in all, my graduation experience was ruined because of untrustworthy people!

Attended 2/27/26 around 6:40pm. Small crowd. We decided just to have a few appetizers. The waitress took the order around 6:45pm. Around 7:10 she stated that the appetizers will be coming in a minute. 7:20 came and she stated she heard them talking about our order which means it’s on the way but proceeded to give us bread that HAD HAIR ON IT. As we noticed it she walked away with it and saw her pluck the hair off of the bread, waited 2 mins and brought back what looked like the SAME BREAD. 7:35 comes around, and in comes the 3 appetizers we ordered. Drinks are now watered down and requested new ones. SADLY, THEY WERE ALL ROOM TEMPERATURE which means it’s been sitting there for a while. We explained we’d rather leave. She rolls her eyes stating she’d get the manager to cancel the event ticket, as if we’re paying for something we didn’t eat. Sad to say we just chose a burger spot and drove home. 1st time there, last time going there.
