Update: August 26, 2025 Cashier washed his hands after moving tables and chairs, cooked cracked a joke that I address and kept the vibe up. The chill nice girl serving the portions was professional and nice. Overall improvement, they went from a 1 star to a 5 STARS !!! The Cashier was cleaning the restrooms comes back to charge me and doesn’t change his gloves and touches my bowl and the side of red sauce with those disgusting dirty gloves. No wonder people get food poisoning here and have complained in the reviews about said poisoning. They be cleaning the toilets then touches your bowls and burritos with fecal matter. Bro sweeps with the same gloves, touches the drink dispensers with the same gloves, closes the doors/door handles with the same gloves. Bro change those gloves. Learn some hygiene. I guess the only good thing he did was give a homeless dude free drink, guac and chips. But at the cost of getting food poisoning

After wrapping up a grueling day of hiking and filming, my stomach was demanding fuel and Chipotle in Hawthorn did not disappoint. Upon arrival, a sight that could potentially sour the experience - a long queue - actually turned into a testament of Chipotle's popularity. It was evident that the Hawthorn outlet was a crowd magnet, and understandably so. They had a good number of staff on deck; the line was just a testament to the top-notch food they're serving up. The restaurant was immaculate. Not a speck out of place, showing their dedication to hygiene and a clean dining environment. The staff were a well-oiled machine, quick and efficient. Their ability to manage the rush while maintaining a warm customer service was truly commendable. But the star of the show was, of course, the food. The Chicken Al Pastor was a revelation - a symphony of flavor that strummed the perfect chord on my taste buds. The chicken was tender and succulent, marinated in a sauce that was just the right side of spicy. It packed heat, but not at the expense of the dish's nuanced flavors. It was, in a word, sublime. In conclusion, the Chipotle in Hawthorn may have had a hefty line but they delivered where it counts - the food. An array of flavors, efficient service, and an immaculately clean ambiance make this place a must-visit spot for every food lover. Five stars, without a doubt.

One bad thing the bag got juicy at the bottom and when I pick the food up it fell out the bag because of them put to must bean juicy in both of my bag kinda upset but things happen

The Baseline: For a Mexican fast casual restaurant the flavors of the food must make use of the prime Mexican ingredients (corn, beans, chiles, rice, cheese, and meats), preparation of sauces/salsas must be fresh, the meal portion size must make me feel full, and service must be efficient. Update October 2025: Food: Ordered a Barbacoa burrito (double wrap) with black beans, sour cream, cheese, cilantro rice, fresh tomato salsa. Also did the online cheese quesadilla order that is only available via the app. Service: Used the mobile order app to get my food. My order was sizable and there is no need to be there when the burrito is getting prepped. Ambiance: I came in to pick up my food and the prep, counter, and dining room was clean and well kept. Update August 2025: Food: I had a Carnitas Burrito with fajita veggies (double wrapped). Very tasty burrito with fresh cooked ingredients. Also got chips and guacamole and a chicken lifestyle bowl. All were good. Service: Used the mobile order app to get my food. Very easy to use and the food is the same size if you ordered at the restaurant (stop believing the YouTube hack videos with the annoying filming customers). Ambiance: Clean and decent restaurant condition when I came in to pick up my food. Previous Review: This is a great Chipotle location that I mainly use for online ordering. The food is always what you expect from a fast-service Mexican food place and the service is always good but they can get bogged down due to how busy it gets there. The atmosphere and service is rated a bit lower because the constant flow of customers does not let the staff keep up so things can get missed and the messy areas stay messy a bit longer. No fault to the staff but it is a result of the high amount of traffic of customers that makes it hard to keep up. The staff always gets me extra salsa with my guac order. Thank you!

Service was good or whatever. I ate here today and that food gave me mad chorro. I was on the toilet spitting bubbles and water. Idk it tasted good in the moment though. Thanks I guess lol.

I must’ve come during rush hour because the line was wrapped around the building. Never seen a Chipotle that packed before. Despite the long line, workers were moving fast. The only times that there were lags was when they had to refill certain foods. The workers were very friendly and food was fresh. Definitely recommend.

[UPDATE] Pandemic version. Even in the evening hour, there weren’t a whole lot of people, understandably. Customers kept 6 feet of distance, although it seemed a bit congested near the cashier because those who came in for pickup orders also lingered there. The patio was open, and only two tables were occupied, including ours. Most people of came, for their orders and left. ————— Busy busy busy. I don’t know how busy this place gets but it was a Tuesday evening and yet the line never disappeared till 9 pm. The staff was friendly. They keep the place neat and tidy.
