Great place to spend some time with children

Arrived at 2AM, waited 20 min in drive-through!? There was a long line behind as well? How do they call them a fast food restaurants with this kind of speed???

This McDonald's playground I took all my grandkids to play since 2011 all four of my grandkids came here one at a time great everything even this place always have coupons that you can buy to stretch your money I live in Brentwood and I go to CI and Brentwood McDonald's they never have coupons on board when I mean never never for the people.

This is a review specifically for Rachel, the birthday party planner and host for my son’s birthday. The best way to sum up Rachel is that she is a unicorn. It is SO rare to find people who are this enthusiastic and genuinely interested in their work. On top of that she was just plain great at her job; a skilled party planner and host. She was so helpful and thorough during the planning process. She always gave great suggestions without ever pressuring me. As our party host Rachel was fantastic with organizing and engaging the children and making sure all of the kids and adults needs were being met. I was seriously blown away, she went above and beyond to give my son the best birthday. A lot of the other parents noticed it to. I highly recommend!

Went around 11pm because we were craving fries and coke. The fries were freshly made and we finished them even before we got home because they were that good. Asked for Coke Zero but it wasn't available so I ended up getting Frozen Coke instead and it was good.

Mobile app worked great. Friendly staff. Very happy with orders. I had no problems using coupons and food was warm and napkins included. This McD is particularly welcoming to patrons. I come here often. You will be happy to get food here.

I have never been to any McDonald's this clean, spacious and where staff is attentive and it's not even busy. Plenty of parking. Wish this McD was near my house. Although my kids are a bit old for the play area it's a great add on for parents to chill while the kids play.

Tried the new triple stack meat McGriddle this morning. It was huge! I saved half for later. Thanks McD! What a value only $2 in app. Now if only they would bring back All Day Breakfast!

Marilyn was amazing!!!! She is the sweetest and actually took my order correctly even tho I was asking for a lot of specifics she did it all correct! All smiles, very sweet, she definitely deserves a raise or at least some kind of Recognition! I will be coming back only for her. I’ve typically had issues in the past with different employees, but I am extremely satisfied meeting her today and having a great experience, especially living right around the block from this McDonald’s I always come here so I will make sure to seek for her to place my order!! Love it!

Just arriving in the parking lot I got a strong sense of nostalgia. This McDonalds wasn’t upgraded to the modern versions we see popping up. It was like walking into a Time Machine and I honestly got emotional. That family feel was there. They still had booths and intimate seating like the old days and even the infamous Ronald McDonald Playground. I saw families spending time together and I loved every minute of it. Staff were friendly, efficient and interactive with their assumed “regulars”. This place reminded me of my childhood. One thing that my friends and I noticed is that the food was much fresher here. Everything tasted different here it was just better. The cookies even had the date and time on it giving you a heads up on expiration. I asked the to warm it up and got “looks” but I realize in the city were a bit spoiled because we always get warm cookies. The bathrooms were not locked and we had access to it the entire stay. So glad we didn’t choose the drive through.

February 16, 2019 – The Glory Days of This McDonald’s Back on February 16, 2019 — before the pandemic changed so much — this McDonald’s was more than just a place to grab a quick meal. It was a community spot where families could bring their kids for fun events and memorable experiences. That day, they hosted a special event featuring Spider-Man, along with singing and entertainment for children. The energy was incredible — kids were laughing, parents were smiling, and the whole place felt alive. The playroom was another highlight. Clean, well-maintained, and full of activities, it was a safe space where my kids could run, climb, and play to their hearts’ content. They absolutely loved it, and it made visits to this McDonald’s something they looked forward to, not just for the food but for the fun. I’m sharing this review after quite some time, but it’s worth remembering just how special this location was. I truly hope the management considers bringing back these kinds of events and family-friendly activities now that we’re past the peak of the pandemic. They created wonderful memories for children and parents alike — and I’m sure many families would welcome their return.

This is by far my favorite mcdonalds in long island and mainly due to the old school play place. My kid plays and it brings me back memories when I was a kid. It's awesome, and even better without all the hard edges and jagged spots that I grew up with. Overall the staff is nice, the food is as good as any properly ran mcdonalds, plenty of seating and multiple areas to hang out. The main dining area is separate from the play place, that also has its own dedicated seating, which is great if you don't want to experience the madness of children creating havoc. They also have an arcade area that you can play some old school games, I hope they keep it maintained, it's super affordable and has tons of old fighters, like tekken, street fighter and space shooters on them. You can spend all day here. They host birthdays with dedicated private rooms. These are one one of those unique old school mcdonalds that must be preserved. I feel a lot of the modern mcdonalds lost that charm due to the maintenance required to keep up with all the aesthetics and safety requirements. I'm going to try my best to visit this establishment often, can't beat the Crayola colored chairs that snap back so many childhood memories. Good job to the owner of this mcdonalds, keep it up.

Hicksville McDonald's is one of the extremely few old fashioned McDonald's. The building/furniture/decor are a bit dated but the menu is up to date. The staff was very friendly with our order and very quick to put a large order together. The highlight for us was the play place. I believe all other McDonald's are phasing them out. But this one remains open and the kids just love it. They also host bday parties and even have an arcade machine! I honestly loved the retro feel of this place. It brought good nostalgia and the children get to eat and play. Just perfect for PARENTS WITH SMALL KIDS.

We just had my daughter’s party here last week and we’re absolutely blown away. Our party planner and attendant Rachel was so attentive and is so talented. She decorated our room beautifully with balloons, custom signs and confetti and tablecloths, she knew all the kids names, met everybody’s individual needs, and was just a pleasure to work with! Everything at the party ran SO smoothly and perfect. Every employee we talked to was so helpful, but Rachel really went above and beyond. Throughout the party, she also had so many amazing suggestions of things we hadn’t through of - like soft serve ice cream to serve with the cake we got, bundling the a la carte items for cheaper pricing and downloading the McDonald’s app for points, adding tattoos and coloring pages for the kids to sit still while we order, etc. We wish we could have her at all of our family’s parties, she’s so amazing!

Not reviewing the food just the service- this place is pretty great about good and speedy service. They have a large play area (don't have children so I can't say much about it except it usually looks occupied so I assume some people do enjoy it) and dining room is pretty spacious. I have never personally had issues with their food or orders being wrong or items missing. I go here often and will continue to do so.

If you go to the drive-thru make sure you not only get all your food, but make sure you get utensils, napkins & butter/syrup if you order pancakes. We had ordered 2 pancake dishes they gave us 1 fork, 1 butter, and 1 syrup! I had to park the car and go into the place to get our extra sides. We were eating on the go & not near home otherwise I wouldn't have needed to go back for extra sides. But that was just annoying. Plus by the time I got back to my car my food was already cold.

This is one of the few McD that still with a playground left. For dine in, it is kids friendly for sure, but not very "adults friendly". The seating area has been reduced and the coke machine is lacking maintenance. But McD is a McD, it is as good as any other McD for take out.

Made a pit stop after a 6 hour drive. The food was fresh and delicious and the lady who helped my daughter and I stepped up to help the younger worker assist multiple customers so the inside line moved faster. We appreciated that 🙏 🙌 😌

I visit once a week in the mornings for breakfast on my way back from college, lady at the window is always so sweet, fast, and just overall courteous. Food has been great in the mornings, thank you for feeding a hungry college kid! : ) - 5/28/25 Night staff were very pleasant, very fresh food :) - 2/26/26 Please work on rotating fresh & sitting food, lowering by one star as of recent service during evenings.

We go there for the giant play area. The biggest we’ve seen/found so far. The food is actually on the better side compared to the other McDonald’s franchises we’ve been to. There is someone cleaning every now and then so that’s much appreciated especially the kids area which can get really dirty really quickly.

I am impressed with this location. It was an unexpected visit, but I’m happy I bumped into it. Tons of parking, huge play place for kids (didn’t know they were still around and I’m happy to see it !) large eating space and. This place has a nostalgic feel with bar stools and happy meal toys on display. Workers were warm, welcoming and productive. The women’s bathroom is my only turn off. Long line as it’s only one single stall. The men’s room has more toilets which is strange. Upgrading and enlarging the bathroom should be a consideration as this is the only tiny space I saw in the location. It would accommodate guests/ parties so much better. Bathroom was also dirty, but given that at least 10 people used the one bathroom back to back to back I couldn’t see it being empty for a moment to clean it up properly.

One of the "older" McDonald's. It has a huge kids party room if you're looking for a place for a birthday party. The building itself is circa 1980...no kiosks. On the positive side, they had plastic straws which i believe are becoming extinct.

Honestly, I've never really had too many issues at this location. Decided to stop late night for an extra large fries 🍟 - the line barely moved, waited for quite a while. Once finally getting to the window, we got bag quickly and drove away. The fries were half filled and were unsalted. Needless to say, it was disappointing. We all do McDonald's for different reasons... most people go for the fries. Anyway, it was very underwhelming. In terms of the past - they've been pretty good. This post was more for the establishment rather than the people visiting.

It's ok location. We go there only because they have kids play area and good parking. For the service they are extremely unfriendly and always forget to give you items that should be included with your order, so you need to always double check. Also, at the play area parents do not watch their kids at all, despite it's being a rule written on the board. Bigger kids go absolutly crazy, can hit smaller ones and no one would say anything.

I would like to give this location five stars, but I just personally prefer BK. My iced coffee could've been darker, next time I'll be specific, but the service is very good at this location, and as I said, is not my favorite fast food, location is very convenient as it's extremely centric to many towns and local businesses alike.

Service at times is hit or miss. I have had several times where they will overcook my food and on at least one occasion I had a manager get visibly annoyed with me that I asked them to fix something they messed up 2 other times on that same visit. Several of their cashiers either don't know what they are doing or are liars and couldn't care less about getting the customer's order right because I have had a multitude of times where when I ask for my sandwich to be cook to order and they put in well done even though they have both a cook to order option and a special request option. When I point this out to them to make sure my order is correct they claim it's the only way to ask for cook to order and that the cooks know what well done "really means". EVERY time it is always overcooked

Had a Birthday Party there and it was very unorganized, the one guy manager that was on duty was extremely rude to his employees screaming at them and when they asked for help he said he was going home, created a scene at the party yelling at his workers who were trying to help us during the party. You can tell they dont want to offer parties but have to because they have the rooms, if they dont wanna do it anymore let and outside company run it. We decorated the room by ourselves.

McDonald’s, I order from this location on Uber eats the night before last and for the second time when it is late night your employees didn’t give me the Oreo McFlurry I ordered, yet you did not remove it from the order so I can get my money back, Uber eats does not refund anymore for missing items so I just lose my money when you don’t give me my items, that is $11 I have wasted already.

Went this morning around 5am, no car in front of me at drive through, it too more than 4 minutes to order food, then went to pickup window, paid my order, then the cashier disappeared in the kitchen, looks like he is taking order, preparing order , no other staff, I have to wait more than 5 minutes to get a coffee and egg bagel. Very slow service alsi noticed many cars left the drive through lane and left the restaurant without food.

They need to update the hours of the play area. We drove specifically to this McD...not for the food, for the play experience. We walk in at 855 pm and they would not let us in play area....please update hours to include this. I'm sure we are not the first disappointed family and we won't be the last.

Food quality was acceptable and meet McDonald's standards. The play place is state of the art. Though the play place dining area was not tended to. Many tables were dirty with food scraps and no staff around to bus tables. The bathrooms were unclean. The staff was not attentive either. For example, my wife ordered a large fries with her meal. I would give it 1/2 a star if I could. Over charged me and swiped my card, manager could not figure out refund. wanted to pay me difference in cash. Sure not a problem. Gives me 60 cents instead of a $1.73. I question the manager and she agrees with me in the total refund but could not figure out to add another $1.13 to what she owes me. Filed a complaint with headquarters as she took my receipt refused to give it back to me and refused to give me her name. Nasty lady behind me was cursing me out because the manager or supervisor could not do math. she had a blue button down so she was shift leader or at least low level management. I will no longer frequent any operation owned by this franchise holder since the promote unqualified staff. I am in culinary and have over 18 years experience as well as being a Johnson & Wales graduate. This was a simple mistake that could not be fixed by the on shift manager which is truly sad.

Says open 24 hours. A car in front of me at 130 AM waited ten minutes. No one said anything to them and they drove off. I drove up and waited a few minutes and nothing. Preordered from this McDonald’s one day, can’t recall the time but the lunch menu was still available on the app. Ubered over there and was online for a good 15 minutes before getting to the window and was told to wait again for another few minutes before being told they weren’t serving lunch even though I preordered. I asked if i could come inside and order since my Uber driver was growing impatient and they told me yes. When I walked to the front of the store the people on shift looked and laughed at me without opening the door. Ordered a Bacon Mc Double without cheese and I received. Two burgers and two strips bacon on a plain roll without pickles and ketchup! Why can’t they do what I ask?. Why can they get it right, is it because they can not understand English or are they stupid? Had to go back to the store and complain about this, on this very cold day! They gave me a new one! And I had to ask for a free fries for my trip and aggravation! If they had offered me something for free, I would have given them 2 stars! When I go to Chic-f-lay. if I have to wait for extra time for my order or they will give you a free item or even a meal!

They overcharged us. He confirmed a 4-piece and a 6-piece McNugget happy meal. Said something about how they don't have 4-piece or 6-piece but didn't clarify when we asked. He was talking to another customer on the mic. When we got the receipt it charged us for two 6-pieces but we actually got one 4-piece and one 6-piece!! It's only a dollar difference, but it's not about the money, it's about feeling like we were ignored and intentionally cheated since he went back into the register to change our order to two 6-pieces but still gave us a 4-piece and a 6-piece. Very frustrating.

You order chicken nuggets and they short you 4 or more when you pay full price. Also I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was still raw inside! Absolutely horrible. It's not the first time this happened. I was hoping that maybe it was a one time mistake. This place should be checked by a food inspector along with proper training when it comes with cooking the food properly before people and children get sick.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this McDonald’s due to the manager on duty. She was rude and unprofessional from the moment we arrived. Instead of addressing the situation appropriately, she refused to serve us without any valid reason and insisted that we leave, all because of her poor attitude. Her response was excessive, going so far as to call the police on us, which was completely unjustified. A manager should be trained to de-escalate situations, not escalate them. I will definitely not be returning to this location!

I am currently one of 4 drive thru customers waiting in a parking space to have their food brought out. Always order coffee and cookies, so I can't imagine why it's not ready when I am at the window. Prices seem to have tripled. The cookies that were 3/1.89 a year ago are 3.59 today. Not coming back.

I went through the drive-thru, which turned out to be a disappointing experience. I typically do not leave negative reviews, but this situation warrants one. I ordered two burgers, and the meat in both was bright pink. I have been eating at McDonald’s for many years and have never received burgers with meat this undercooked. This is not a steak, and for health and safety reasons it should be fully cooked. Even with steak, proper cooking standards should be followed. This experience was concerning and unacceptable.

Horrible customer service!!! The employees in the drive thru here are very rude to customers!! They charge extra for sauces and make up their own quantities ripping customers off. Not a good McDonald's restaurant. I don't recommend.

If you want you food hot and fresh do not go to this McDonald's when the manager Delilah is there. I ordered my food fresh out the fryer and asked her to add extra salt to my fries and she said loudly "Yea, Yea, Yea" and did not honor my request. I work midnights so there isn't much out there to eat at the time of night and once I get on post I can't leave, look at my receipt...no special orders, no notes for hot and fresh, no extra salt....my food was cold and my fries were bland. I didn't enjoy it at all and I definitely won't go back to this one
