We went to the place and it's super big, although a bit underutilized in terms of table space, but oh well. The music was loud but pleasant, the kitchen service was a little slow but worth the wait. We ordered shrimp soup and it was large and delicious, the tilapia was huge and quite good, and the only thing that fell short was the hamburger; it wasn't good. The drinks are excellently priced, so if you go for drinks one day, they're a great deal. You can bring your dog without any problem, and there's a play area for children. I would definitely go back to try other things. The only downside is that they didn't have everything on the menu.

It's a simply stunning place, beautiful and perfect for breakfast on a weekend or even for various events. It's huge and has many beautiful natural attractions. Walking inside, you'll encounter many species of animals living in the same place. At the end of the property, there's a dam, and the view is simply spectacular. I went on a Sunday morning with a group of about 20 people. The truth is, they weren't prepared to provide fast service for everyone. However, the food is delicious and the portions are adequate. Next door, there's also a house owned by the same owner that's used as a hotel, hostel, or vacation home, in case you need or want lodging for the week. A visit to this place is highly recommended.

Today we went to eat, as it was our second visit. I want to emphasize that our first visit was excellent, but this time it wasn't. My wife and mother-in-law each ordered a mixed grill platter, and we were like 😬. The plate was completely cold, and it looked like the food had been reheated in the oven. The chicken, the beef, and the cactus—everything looked like it had just been heated in the oven, I repeat. And it took a long time to bring it out. On top of that, when we paid, they charged us a 22% service charge on top of what we consumed. Our bill was 740 pesos, and we ended up paying 905. The first time we went, they asked us if we wanted to leave a tip, which started at 5% and went up from there, but this time they didn't. I'm just letting you know, and if the food leaves much to be desired, on this visit (May 14, 2025), I won't go back. Hacienda Caltengo is better because you get hot food, which is what you expect. Well, I share my opinion, maybe they will manage to change, (the mixed grill was two pieces of not very big steak and a breaded chicken cutlet, two nopales, two onions and two cheese-filled pastries).

Expensive for the food they serve, the service is slow, the classic mixed grill was served cold, they add a 25% service charge to the bill which leaves much to be desired, it's clear they're short-staffed and that's reflected in the food and everything else, it's a shame because the place is nice but the rest isn't worth it.

Don't stay at this hotel in this cold weather or when it's cloudy; they don't have hot water. 😑 And that's not the worst part. We asked if they could fix it, and they kept us waiting for an hour, lying to us that they were fixing it when they couldn't even fix it because it's a solar water heater, and if there are more than two guests, the hot water runs out. 😑

It's a very nice place, but the service is a shame. The food took a long time to arrive, and when I made my payment, they tried to charge me a 5% commission for card payments, which is an abuse since, by law, no business can charge a commission for this type of payment. @PROFECO
