We had five folks. They allowed reservations on short notice. A lot of TVs to watch Thursday Night football. A lot of good beer choices. We all found a nice beer we enjoyed. Very nice server and very nice food selections. I had some really nice Jambalaya and one of their beers.
4/28 - Stopped in again this past week, the staff here are still amazing! Ordered the Cilantro Ranch Chop Salad. Ordered the Sante Fe Grilled Chicken Salad with a Grapefruit Sol IPA. The food was absolutely delicious, left me thinking about how good it was for at least 30 minutes after we had left. It was a large salad - a very healthy portion. Took a real commitment to get it down while still allowing me the ability to walk away. The service stumbled on a few minor details but was very prompt and friendly. This was my first visit to this location, having only eaten at their downtown restaurant. Definitely clean and had some of the cool brewery decor; however, the dining area seemed a bit simple. Still a solid choice for a good meal.
I have been to this location twice since it has opened. The first time with a large group and the second time, just 2 of us. Both times were great with the service, the beers, and the food. Not one complaint! The second time our server was David and he made our experience so enjoyable. The hostess, Natasha, remembered me from my last visit and made us feel so welcomed coming back. The manager on duty visited our table which was very nice. We had the wings and the chicken quesadilla, yum!! I do not give reviews often, but this restaurant, especially being new, was terrific!! I will be back. Here is an update of my review of this restaurant. I am now a “Mug Club” member of this restaurant. It is because I frequent it so often. My husband and I were enjoying Happy Hour there last night on the patio when the wind picked up. The Assistant Manager, Sandy, came to the rescue quickly taking the umbrellas down and making sure all of the diners were comfortable and secure. She came out frequently checking on everyone about the food and the service. I have not seen this at most restaurants and it is because of Sandy, I will keep coming back. Oh, and by the way, the food was delicious!! Update: Had a great lunch here today. Sliders and wings and my husband had a burger. Delicious. Our server was Haley and she was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Love this place! Okay, I am back again and it is still one of my faves 💓 Alway great food, service, and ambience. Had the sliders, yum.
Got seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. Right after we got there it really picked up. Our server Chad was on it and kept our drinks full and was very friendly. I had the club and hubs had some brunch dish that had eggs and chicken with mashed potatoes. Both were excellent. Served fast and hot.
The food was tasty and prepared quickly, the staff was really friendly and was really nice with our dog. They even brought out a dog water bowl with ice in it! They were really accommodating and they have a really nice dog friendly patio - shaded for the most part. Our dog was really happy hanging out with us while we ate here. We will absolutely come back to eat and drink here again.
Great service and great food. The Cajun fish tacos were probablysome of the best I have had. I like the crunchy shell inside the soft tortilla, and the sauce they put on was very flavorful. I added a side of Bison chili, which was awesome. It had a touch of heat that I really liked. The quac on the tacos really sealed the taste. Wife had the avocado chicken sandwich, which was actually pretty plain, but she added my guac and said it was pretty great. The in house brewed beer were great as well. Would definitely go back.
Dinner here was very pleasant, we sat out on the patio and enjoyed the shaded atmosphere. We ordered the beats appetizer with sour beer queso fresco (pictured). For my entree I ordered the Sonoma Flatbread and let me just say that it was very exceptional! I don't think I've ever had a flavor combination like it before. The Sonoma came with shaved green apples, blue cheese, truffle cream, shallots, kale and honey. Wow just wow it was amazing 👏 😍 Dessert was a salted carmel whiskey shake with graham cracker crumble at the bottom 😋 Service was attentive and everything was delicious. Thanks guys!
Sam is THE MAN. he's relatively new, but I can tell that he's served before. Restaurant was PACKED when we were seated and Sam made sure our food and drinks came out in a timely manner even though I could tell he was juggling quite a few tables. If management reads this, know that you made a great decision hiring this man, and to put him onto more of the busy shifts! Rock Bottom is great for any day of the week at any time. The full menu has an option for anybody's taste, from fresh salads to filling sandwiches. Late night is a smaller menu, with no compromises on food quality. Their in house brews are widely varied always on point... they never fail to satisfy. They frequently do special weekend menu items like special steaks and prime rib. The seasonal summer menu is a nice change up from the normal menu (since I've tried just about everything) And to the owners/management: KEEP IT UP YOU GUYS DO AN AWESOME JOB Edit 1: I had the pleasure of meeting Joel today. What a nice guy, he was really friendly and very well presented. He dropped by a few times to ask how the food was and fill our waters. Edit 2: Maurice! What an awesome guy! This guy clearly knows what he's doing and knows how to make people feel welcome. One of the best experiences I've ever had a rock bottom!
Fun, popular and clean restaurant-and-brewery in Highlands Ranch, CO. This brewery offers a wide selection of home-brewed delights, from ales to IPA's to stouts - you are sure to find something you'll like. I particularly enjoyed their "Flatbed Red" - one of their year-round brews. The menu appeals to all tastes, with vegetarian plates as well as traditional sports-pub favorites, such as chicken wings, burgers and fries. Speaking of burgers, these are HUGE! Three-quarter pounds! "Regular" sized options are available, so no worries. Plenty of seating in both dining areas and around the bar, as well as a private room for special occasions. Parking can be tricky as it shares the same lot with other establishments in a well-visited Plaza.

We ate here twice (with large groups) during our recent visit to Denver. Great service, and very good food. Place can get a little loud, but it is a bit of a sports bar. The second night I came in, the waitress immediately brought me my Arnold Palmer, so nice, and then she didn't miss a beat with the split checks for our huge group. The Pretzel sticks are amazing, tomato bisque was wonderful, flatbread pizza is delicious, even the Cobb salad 🥗 was absolutely wonderful... Not sure what the green dressing was, but it was tasty. Will repeat often when I am in town.
Kianna was a fantastic server with wonder service. She was quick and fun! Definitely recommend the fish and chips. Great sized meals and service is excellent. Thanks for a wonderful experience Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery. Love the EtchasketchQueen
Rock Bottom has some of best service we've ever experienced. You can tell they go the extra mile. Be selection is fantastic and delicious. Everything I've ordered here has been super tasty! Definitely stop by Rock Bottom Brewery in Highlands Ranch for a great meal and some beers.
Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Denver! The food is delicious and fresh, the beer is tasty, and the service is friendly. Cheers from Austin, Texas!
Great beer and amazing pizza. Nachos crazy huge. Cheers 🍻
Great spot! Amazing food overall, but we specifically loved the nachos.
2 meals in, both times it truly was delicious! Will be back!! Servers are very friendly..
We came in today 11/4 around 2:30. We were greeted immediately by the bartender that had a big ol' smile. We ordered the pulled pork sliders and a large salad. Food came out immediately .The sliders were great and the salad was cold and crispy. The make up of the salad was shmedium(very few ingredients). My wife loved the Czech Mate and my Arnold Palmer was perfect. Our bartender made it a fun experience. We would visit again if in the neighborhood.
Hosted a large company Christmas party here. Melanie made the process so easy. All of our guests had a great time. The food, space, and drinks were perfect. We will be back!!
Compared to most other restaurants in Highlands Ranch, and to other Rock Bottom Breweries around the Denver metro area, this place stands out for its lively atmosphere. I can't believe we are lucky enough to have live music here. This is my and my friends' go to place to hear some great bands and have a good time, as most restaurants in this area do not offer anything beyond the average dining experience. The food and drinks are great as well, and I love that this place is obviously a gathering spot for many, especially on Friday nights. It is hard to find much in the way of live music around here, thank you Rock Bottom for providing a restaurant that is beyond just a typical place to eat.
Staff was friendly and service was very quick. The food was really good as well. This is a great place for after work drinks.
They have their own craft beer, yet you have other choices as well. Stocked bar and there is always plenty of seating. Tonight they had a live band that was really enjoyable! The food is good and well prepared, tonight I gave it a 4, as I had the fish tacos. Now while they were tasty, they could use a little less lettuce and more fish. Its a good place to relax, have a drink and watch the game or just enjoy good company. **(You might have to bring the company yourselves.)** The staff has always been friendly and attentive.
Among the many corporate owned brands, Rock Bottom is one of the better ones. It is clean, bright and spacious, and with the huge silver tanks right in the dining room, it makes you feel like you are in the middle of the action. The food is good, service is pleasant, and on this particular visit they had a good band on the patio. All in all its a worthwhile experience that seems to cater to a wide variety of folks!
My friends an I came for the beers an Carrot cake. The beer and carrot cake did not disappoint. delicious beer delicious carrot cake. I had the brisket sandwich it was OK. My friends had the nachos they were OK. We had to call the waitress over a few times to get her attention it would have been nicer to have had her check on this a few more times than she did. All in all I still give it a solid 4 and a 1/2 stars I'll go back for more beer and that carrot cake because that is what they're best at.
Food and beer were excellent! Service was ok, could've been a little better (appetizer came out the same time as the meal). We ordered the Loaded Nachos! This appetizer is a meal! Definitely need at least 3/4 people to not be full for an entree. The fish and chips were really good. I prefer a little more flavor to my breading but still light and crispy! Heads up...No tartar sauce (no designated sauce for this meal at all, which is very strange to me). As for beers, we had 4 and all were exceptional! 10oclock scholar has a great stout flavor, flatbed red was top notch (tons of flavor!), Liquid Sun and Cherry Glider were nice and crisp for the hot day!
Lunch yes!!! I had time to sit and enjoy the great service and let me tell ya...fried chicken sandwich! So juicy, great lite tasty crust, huge pieces...just plain tasty. I bet their strips are great too. Nice selection so I shall return next trip.
Dropped by this place and they had happy hour, so half price for all drinks. Fish and chips ordered were good and crisp. Overall a good atmosphere!
Beer is good. Service is good. Average bar food, nothing that caught my attention. Stone Fruit beer was a well balance sour! Good for happy hour crowd.
Edit: I knocked 2 stars off because they advertise food until close and it's been twice now I've gone in after 9 and it's just drinks only and honestly they were a little rude about it. Original review- Really great atmosphere, nice sports bar area and a great dining area. The server and host were extremely courteous and we were served very quickly. The food was of course great and the price was reasonable. I personally had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious! I will definitely be visiting again(Edit: This part is debatable; I eat late so if I have no idea when they will decide to stop serving food I just risk wasting another trip).
Great place for happy hour if you get there early, but with the weather warming, there is more seating on the patio. The location is convenient however, the parking is a nightmare! Too many restaurants but not enough parking. It was 6pm, and we drove around for 5 minutes and then got lucky. I tried something new along with my usual fried pickles and was not disappointed. I had the Baja Grilled Chicken sandwich with avocado with a vegetable side of greenbeans, which was so tasty! I'll have those again for sure-was delicious with light spices of garlic salt and pepper and I think butter! One thing that is SO irritating is that a customer cannot get fried pickles after 9pm! I say plan the kitchen schedule better for closing and shutting down. Having already a limited menu after 9p and mean like 9 options, puts me at an 8 for not returning. I mean, I go there for the fried pickles and sauce. It's the best combo, but I have found another place that had just as good of fried pickles, but the sauce is not preferred by me or my party. The staff does a great job getting to know you by talking with you and not at you.
The hostesses either need more training or fired. Actively listening is difficult and for some seem an unnecessary skill to developed but then again I was foolish enough to think people do their jobs and didn’t check my order. I asked for a menu to place a togo order and the hostess asked me what I would like. A menu for starters. I wasn’t sure if she heard me or not so no big deal. The other hostess took my order. I placed my Caesar Salad entree, fish and chips, chicken fried chicken. I then asked if I could also have a side of Brussels sprouts with my meal. She said sure. I saw on the screen that it said side of Brussels Sprouts for $1. I questioned if this was correct because I wanted an additional side and she said yes. Guess what I didn’t get. They’re lucky it was for me that I didn’t get what I paid for and not my wife who is in the hospital next door recovering and being with our daughter in the NICU. I appreciate the inconvenience. I wonder who gets my tip I left for my order. Hoping it’s not the hostesses working on 8/10 at 7pm. Food was decent nothing spectacular but it’s a brewery and better than hospital food.
I recently visited Rock Bottom and left really disappointed with my experience. I ordered the chicken fried chicken, and it just wasn’t good at all. The breading was way thicker than the chicken itself (picture shows chicken is the same thickness of the fork), and the meat was super dry — definitely overcooked and lacking any juiciness or flavor. It felt heavy and unbalanced, like more breading than actual chicken. I was hoping for a comforting, crispy, flavorful dish, but it completely missed the mark. To make things worse, the margarita I ordered was awful. It didn’t taste like a margarita at all — it just tasted like straight tequila with no balance, no lime, and no sweetness. Definitely not what I was expecting from a restaurant that usually does drinks well. The service and atmosphere were fine, but the food and drink are the main reasons I go out to eat, and both were a big letdown. For the price and reputation, I expected much better quality and consistency. Hopefully they can make some improvements, because this experience really missed the mark.
Food was ok except the “loaded Mac and cheese” which was basically just Mac and cheese with a bit of meat and breadcrumbs. Our waiter was nowhere to be seen for most of the time we were there. I asked for a 2nd drink 15 minutes after my first was finished which never came out before we finished our food. In about 40-45 minutes of being there we saw our waiter a total of 2 times: when we ordered and received or food. I had to wave down someone bussing the tables to get our bill. Would not recommend going. Definitely will not go again.
Truly a rock bottom experience. As a veteran of the service industry, I recognize arriving within the last hour of restaurant hours is always a role of the dice, but this was absurd. Started off well enough with a friendly host stand and pleasant server. My spouse ordered a beer, I ordered a cocktail and waters arrive without asking. Drinks followed shortly after and our food was out in amazing time. The nacho platter was impressive and tasty, however, the Philly cheesesteak on a gluten-free bun was a complete catastrophe and insult to sandwiches everywhere. If you look at the photo with this post, you'll see not only the stomach turning pool of grease on the plate but also the overly saturated glistening bun. I took one bite and it was like someone served me a tablespoon of canola oil... just foul. Our server took a really long time to find her way back to the table after dropping off the food which meant my sandwich got more congealed and cold while I nibbled on the surprisingly tasty and crispy waffle fries and helped myself to my partner's nachos. When she did finally wander back, she was quick to respond to my request for a new bun on a fresh plate as I know better than to send food back at that time of night. But by the time the magical second bun not soaked in an artery cloaking amount of oil arrived at the table, I was over it and had lost my appetite and my spouse was done eating. Not once did a manager do a table touch or seem at all concerned, but there was one gentleman who seemed very interested in flirting with the staff. I don't leave this review lately, but what we experienced tonight was beyond disappointing. Because we are not "those people", we still tipped $10 on the $56 tab and didn't ask for a refund on my sandwich. That's on us and on management for not stopping by. Overall we suggest avoiding this location unless you're someone who is really into overpaying for mediocre food and lackluster service in a location with the personality and overall ambiance of Pleasantville...
2nd time I went in to order food to go and get a beverage at the bar while I waited. Not many people there but was still ignored for 10 min then another couple walked in and sat across the bar and the bartender went to them first. I walked out after 20 min
Staff was awesome beer was awesome!!! Food not so much pizza tasted burnt on the bottom probably the heat surface needs to be cleaned because it was not burnt. Fish tacos the fish was over cooked so it was chewy instead of soft it should be crunchy on the outside soft in the middle. My husband got the jambalaya which he enjoyed. We enjoy going to different pubs restaurants around Highlands Ranch and Lone tree.
I’ve been here 3 times now- hoping my crummy service was just a fluke- but it’s not. Food server 101- check on your tables frequently enough that your guest doesn’t sit with an empty drink! Especially for a brewery! Food is just meh… my favorite though is that the seasonal menu items are NOT available to order online…. So I called to order a to go- was placed on hold/ my phone disconnected after 6 minutes- so I called back- was put on hold for 5 more minutes! I was almost to the dang restaurant by the time my order was taken…. And then my salad was missing half the ingredients! Severely disappointed! There is ONE server there who has been worth tipping! Time for management to do their job and start managing!
Solid food and beer selection. Jambalaya was excellent but arrived cold. We received a mediocre service at best, even though the place was not busy.
Not good food or service. We went in for a quick lunch today. Not only they had us waited for over 1/2 an hour, but also the food came out bad. The salad was bad and we had pay an up-charge for it. See picture below. Our server also has an attitude. Not recommended.
Dear LORD That SUCKED! I can’t believe how horrible the service was. There was very little people there at 4pm on a Thursday. Didn’t even get acknowledged for 15 minutes. We sat there as others kept getting waited on at the bar. Then we asked if we wanted anything and she walked away before taking our order. It was odd… well. It was horrible: she was rude.
Service was fine but food was not. Might be the worst chicken tenders I’ve had. Expect better food for the money. Dry, burnt tenders. Honey mustard wasn’t very good either. Get something else to eat when you come here.
I was told that my beer would be $2, then waiter tried to charge me $6. Then when I paid cash for my meal, I was given $21 in change, when it should have been $21.12. The waiter said, "oh we didn't have change, you want your $.12?" I said the change should have been correct. He then threw a $1 bill at me and walked away. I still gave him a $4 tip despite the attitude. I would normally have tipped about $8. I felt really uncomfortable about the attitude overall. I don't think I will be back.
I have been coming to this location since it opened. It has gone through several management/ownership changes. Each time there is a change, they wipe out previously earned rewards ( this has happened to me 4 times now). If you just want to come in to have a beer, it is ok, but if you expect management to recognize the importance of how they treat loyal customers, forget it. I will not return.
After waiting for 45 minutes to get one appetizer and over an hour to not even get our food. We left before we waited an hour an a half for our order to not arrive, so we left. Ya'll can do better, that was nonsense. Not okay.
This place is severely understaffed. 2 waiters and probably 1 cook. Had to wait a couple of minutes to be greeted, bad start. On a Saturday at noon, I had to wait 45 mins for a medium well burger. It came B-U-R-N-T. The bun was also 3 days past prime. I gave this place another chance after months away. Sadly, this experience means I will not be returning. Conner was an excellent server and gave it his best!
Tried to get a giftcard for my grandmother and was told "the system has been down for over a month." Staff was lovely, but this sounds like a problem thay should be addressed.
The staff is very nice. The fruit fly infestation however... unappetizing. $50 for pretzels and 2 drinks with fruit flies crawling in them and on them.... disappointing
3rd time the same person has made a comment about my service dog not being allowed there. I have never tried to sit inside, we always sit on the patio. Almost all the staff knows me and lets us be except this one lady. Every single time we have gone she makes a comment about a dog issue you had. I personally do not care about a prior dog issue you had. It has nothing to do with us. We get fist bumps and talked to by almost every other staff member. We go inside and my service dog stays laying down at the door waiting for my command while I ask for a patio seat. We have never attempted to eat inside even though we are legally allowed to. One time I went straight to the patio and the same lady said we need to go to the host stand to ask for a seat. So what is it ? Make up your mind. Tracey explained again tonight how you had a dog issue awhile back. I’m sorry but that has nothing to do with us. I will be stopping by soon to speak with a manager. I literally just stopped by to get a refill of beer and left. We stopped at the host stand and asked to get a refill on the patio and left. I don’t understand why this one person has such an issue with it while everyone else calls us by name and knows “Monkey”. We have never bothered anyone.
Came in for a late dinner a full hour before they closed. Got turned away because they were doing takeout only. The place was empty too. We used to eat here regularly, usually several times a month. It was our go to restaurant. Not anymore. If you want to close early, change your hours to reflect the real closing time. Luckily, the pizza place across the parking lot was open and had great service and food.
Avoid this place at all costs, especially for larger groups. There is disfunction at the highest levels. Mismanagement, poor management, Not enough staff - whatever you want to call it. We were a group of 26 adults. 3 kids. For a groomsmen’s dinner with a fixed menu - pre arranged 1 month in advance. They assigned 1 server who absolutely died in the service process. Drink service was poor, food was delivered cold, and zero attention from management or any support for the server of any kind. Even when asked and identified, there was nothing offered. When I pressed the on duty manager, she stated, “they were worried about this group event for weeks.” and the General Manager had recently left for the evening. In the face of a packed restaurant, and short staff this GM should be dismissed. Host and servers were drowning all over the restaurant. Either hire more staff, close sections, or elevate your skill. Nothing about this place was worth the expense. When the sign says Rock Bottom, you better believe it.
