There was a young man named Trustyn that waited on me, he provided excellent customer service, and had a great attitude! The sandwich was great too!

It isn't fine dining, but they do their sandwiches justice. Service is excellent and place is clean. What more can you ask for?

I've loved their food since I was a kid so of course it was heartbreaking to find out that I'm allergic to wheat. I LOVE that they now carry gluten free bread! I'll always love the original sandwich. I'll miss the huge ones but gluten free comes in one size of bread but they are happy to add extra meat.

Consistently a great experience! Great quality, extremely clean restaurant and well maintained restrooms. By far the nicest staff of any restaurant in Hillsboro. Nice menu options for their uniquely prepared sandwiches, soup, salads and Mac dishes..I am more of the original sandwich kind of person. I never really saw any need to try much else. Always my absolute first choice to stop to eat when passing through. I consistently rate them a 5, it is a well-deserved and obviously well-earned rating. Conveniently located for southbound travelers. But well worth the u-turn for northbound folks as well.

Stopped here in our way through town & oh boy we were blown away! We’re still talking about it weeks later! The sandwiches were perfectly toasted & all the stuff inside was evenly distributed. We finished our regulars and seriously wanted to go back for another one! This store needs to come train the staff in our area! We can’t wait to plan a trip just so we can stop here again!

Ordered an original sandwich meal on jalapeno bread with mayo add avocado. When I got home it wasn't made correctly but I called back and spoke with the manager Mark. He took my name and offered to replace my order. I went the next day and Sandy knew exactly who I was and went the extra mile to see that my order was correct. She was so kind and helpful. Their food is always consistent. I've never had a bad sandwich from any of their locations. They had a wide variety of sandwich choices . They have soup , pizza , salads. The store was clean . You are required to wear a mask. There is inside dining also . They have outdoor seating as well . I always get the Schlotzskys original .

Ordered a chicken pesto pizza and 2 sandwiches, and everything is spot on (it is 12:30pm). If you are in the area, you have to check it out! Also drive-thru line time was about 6 minutes. Cheers!

Love, love, LOVE the oldies music they play at this location!!! Wish this was a staple at each location. The sandwich was also the best we’ve had in Texas. They didn’t overcook the sourdough bun. Lastly, very pleasant gentleman at the cashier. We will definitely try to come back when we’re out this way again.

Wednesdays are buy one get one free pizza. Why wait to visit a Schlotzsky's? This is a serious reason to visit. The staff is friendly and they have beer on tap at this location.

Wow..what a great sandwich! Have never been to a Schlotzsky's. The gentleman at the counter knew his stuff he took the time to explain the menu to us. So the place is typical for this chain, but the employees were really friendly and were way better than I ever would have expected.

Nice location. I did use the app to order before I entered the store. When I got to the counter a few minutes later the food was bagged and ready to go. I ordered the original sandwich with avocado added. That was very good and filling. I only ate half and had to save the rest for layer. Restroom was clean and did not have orders or trash. Food was delicious and prepared quickly.

Its a great place to stop to relax and get a yummy sandwich and flatbread

I placed an order for catering yesterday. We had a family Christmas party. There was a young lady who called to see if we were still going to pick it up. Because we were running late. Then when we got there he helped to bring the food out. Everyone really enjoyed the food. It was really a hit. God bless you all.

On the way back home, hubby felt like sandwiches for lunch. Schlotzsky's had a clean and bright environment. They played nostalgic music that was not too loud. All of our sandwiches were well plated and tasty. Overall, it was a nice respite from driving.

I went in for a cinnamon roll, since this was the closest cinnabon location near me. The person at the counter was friendly and sold me the last full size cinnamon roll in the warmer. It was so big that I ate half of it and took the rest home for later. I did take notice of the menu and sandwiches and intend to come back and try the sandwiches and soups the next time I'm in Hillsboro.

Saul was great, very nice, and he brought our food out properly. The new Spicy option on the menu is good I tried it with the original sandwich but it definitely added a kick with vinegar and salt potato chips you can't go wrong.

This was my second visit to this Hillsboro restaurant location. Full disclosure, they also own the Corsicana restaurant off I45. I dig the new look and the beer dispenser fills the beer from the bottom up, I couldn't get my video working before it was full. So there a hole in the bottom of the cup. It has this metal "washer" around the hole with a magnetic on it. You set the cup on the dispenser surface a "probe" pops up into the bottom of the cup, tada a perfect pour. Every bar should have one.

Food was great. Staffer was nice. However, I had to wait at the drive thru window almost 20 minutes for my food. Total time in drive thru was closer to 30 from order to leaving.

As an Austinite I expect a certain level of quality with my Schlotzsky's. They missed a few marks. The tables were not bussed, and if they were they weren't wiped down. The ham on my sandwich was cold. Not sure that happens when the cheese is melted. The ham wasn't actually on the bun either. I basically had to remake my sandwich at the table. The counter staff were friendly.

Great place and nice staff! Our food was made correct and in a timely manner. We did have a wait to order our food, line was moving slow with the lunch rush and only one register open. Great place to stop if you are in Hillsboro.

Had a pretty good experience. I ordered a cinnamon bun and it was amazing!!! The salted caramel giant cookie was great too. The man who took our order was a little rude. He threw my receipt down on the counter when my hand was out. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.

Great place, great food, great people with one exception. Manager Marc. Only reason it ain't a 5 star. I highly recommend it as a great place to eat. California Flatbread is my favorite item on the menu.

My food was great! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the delivery service door dash never delivered my order. I placed the order at 3:45 and it was after 5pm nothing delivered. Mark from the store went above and beyond to get my order to me and I appreciate that! Sadly doordash still charged the delivery fee and took the tip.

Great location with clean restrooms with plenty of parking. Location has both interior and exterior dinning. Coke fountain that is still self serve. Only thing that got me about this location is the mop bucket near the entrance. Take the extra few minutes to place these items back where they belong. On the other hand the location was clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. Had the original sandwich which was awesome considering I had just eating and wasn't really hungry. Would eat here again!!

Good service. The sandwich had a lot of meat. If you like these kinds of sandwiches thus was very well done. My tastes have changed and it wasn't my favorite. My wife loved her broccoli cheddar soup.

Haven't been to Schlotzsky's in 10 years the French dips used to be real good now they have it on some weird Bread and you get a half a sandwich. Broccoli cheese soup was awesome the pizzas weren't that great the flatbread not very big

We flew into Dallas, were driving to Austin, it was getting late and we were hungry. Found Schlotzsky's on Google, glad we did. Right off the interstate. Huge sandwich and salad and it was as good as it looked on the menu. Would stop again for sure.

Stopped for a late lunch during my highway travels at one of my favorites. I’m only commenting on the food and drive through since I didn’t go inside. The pictures tell the story of the food—different location, same great meal. The drive through was a little slower than I would have thought for an after 1pm lunch run, but it was worth the wait! I’ve got two new favorite words—Smoke Cheesy! Technically, it’s one word on the menu but one of my favorite sandwiches—with bbq smoke flavor, peppers and jalapeño bread for a nice kick, and the meats! I tried to tease you with the pictures; you won’t be disappointed.

We came for lunch on Saturday around 1:30pm and ordered a deluxe original, fiesta chicken and jalapeño chips. The staff at the counter were friendly, and the sandwiches were ready quickly. The sandwiches were hot with fresh bread and fresh ingredients. Great experience.

I was in town for work. Somewhat busy at lunch. I tried one of the new Mac-n-cheese dishes. Food arrived at the table in a reasonable amount of time. The cheese in my mac was separated. It was edible, just. I honestly was not expecting much better considering this is chain.

Good service. Alright food, maybe a little overpriced for what you get, I only had a sandwich that was $13. Which question Is it worth it. Service was good, the staff was on point. Atmosphere was good, great music selection, 40-60s pop and R&B happy music.

Had the original sandwich, which turned out to be tasteless and dry. I have never seen sliced picnic ham on one of these sandwiches before. Staff was friendly and attentive, but a little slow, but with the staffing shortages everywhere they did the best they could with what they had.

Had the roast beef and my husband did as well and our total was over $31!

My past month of ordering there has been great. BUT, this week, had the worst Southwestern chicken salad. Meat was stone cold, & very little corn & beans, no cheese, & container only half full. Guess it depends on who preparing food!!

Got the BBQ chicken pizza and a cinnamon roll from here, but not planning to do that again. The gentleman at the drive thru window could've been more pleasant. He just snatched my card to take payment and handed me my food. Thats it. No words aside from "Your food will be out shortly". The last time I went to a schlotskys was probably when I was a little girl and it wasn't my favorite. I came back 20+ years later, hoping it was probably just my immature taste in food that made me dislike it. As it turns out, it wasn't. That could also just be this location, but I don't know if I want to chance it anywhere else. The pizza didn't have much flavor and the cinnamon roll tasted like it was a day old or something. I asked for it to be warmed up and it definitely wasn't. It was not at all worth the $20 I spent on it.

Fabled Narrative

I want to first start by adding that I would still consider coming here, but I would like to make my experience made known. The cashier was a little slow to take our order and doing it correctly, but he was a nice guy. The tables were not dirty, but weren't clean. Although the guy I think who prepped the food in the back, came out with a wonderful smile and accommodated us to anything we asked for. I liked him! My food was a "sweet/spicy" sandwich, but it lacked on the sweet and spicy side. The person I came with ordered a chicken Caesar salad that was about 85% lettuce. For the price, that was ridiculous. We both got strawberry lemonade which I really enjoyed though. We sat outside and enjoyed our time. Not great, but not terrible either. It was okay. 👍

The older gentleman who looked like he was running the place didn't crack a smile the entire time. He didn't say hello or thank you or really seems to care at all. The sandwich was great as always, but the store being dirty and the lack of customer service really sucks. I used to stop here on my weekly trips from Ft Worth to Austin, but won't anymore.

I haven't had Schlotzskys in decades, but remembered the warm, air bubble-filled bread and olive spread. Now just a limp imitation of the old bread, cold, no snap, few air bubbles, and dressed like any cold cut sandwich. Won't be going back. Very pricy for a subpar sandwich.

Food was good, manager(or franchise owner) VERY RUDE! I asked for a senior discount & he told me that that was his profit margin & told me about another guy that was in asking why the price down the road was cheaper & he told him it was the senior discount. He continued talking rude so I walked away. I will take my senior business elsewhere from now on.

I don't know if it's this location or what, we both had the medium cheesy bacon roast beef seemed like the bun was small the top was super thin, not as much roast beef and if there was one broken up slice of bacon I'd be surprised. The guy running the placed seemed put out to even be there. For the price don't think I'd try it again

The food was delicious, but I paid for avacadoe on my burger and they did NOT add it on my burger! So they pocket the money because I paid cash! Something told me to check my order but I was tired and hungry. So the next time you drive thru always check your order!

Such a long wait for 2 sandwiches! 3pm in a Sunday. Fast food on a busy expressway should be fast. My husband's sandwich was good, but mine had about half an ounce of turkey.

First thing is 35 minutes in drive thru after I order only two vehicles in front of me. Employees are rude, won't stop talking to each other when your tying to order have to repeat order literally 12 times, still don't get it right, called back whomever I spoke with hopefully with as rude as they were being the were not one of the managers like they said, won't go back and will give food to dogs being it's nothing I ordered..... Next time I will make drive to store in cleburne

Ordered 2 small sandwiches on different bread, when brought out they were mediums and on wrong bread. Was charged for medium. Didn't offer or care to make anything right.

The establishment was on the dirty side, food took a very long time and the bread of my Sandwich was soggy, the family was really hoping for sandwich but sadly that had not happen The best part was the upbeat and friendly service we received.

Guy taking order touched my cinnamon roll with BARE dirty money hands, salt shaker was CAKED with something disgusting, there was nasty dirty grease all over the drink machine button, the floor had napkins laying over a spill with no clean up. The overall atmosphere felt so dirty we couldn't even finish our meal. I really hope the cleanliness of this place gets taken care of.

Food Complaint: I am a truck driver decided to visit Schlotzsky's in Hillsboro to have a quick bite to eat. I got home after eating sandwich halfway through the meal a HAIR was in the other half of the sandwich. I called the same day reported the hair in the food manager Ashley noted that the return will go back to the card. Two weeks have passed never received a refund. Returned to the store to speak to Ashley showed her the receipt she said she was busy training new employees and that she would refund the meal but never did. Today my hubby visited the store talked to a different manager Mark (very rude) he did not replace or refund the meal after showing the receipt and informed him that we had spoke with Ashley. And yes all of this over $13.85. The strangest thing happened the Manager Mark called me from his personal cell to apologize after telling him that the health department will be notified.

We went through the drive thru ordered 2 pizzas. They gave us 2 pepperoni pizzas instead of what we ordered. We get back in line tell them a guy comes out the back door with my pizzas. He asks for the other pizzas back which is fine but then tells us the other person is waiting for those pizzas and he has to go give them the pizza. My pizza is cold so pretty sure he gave my pizza to the other people before giving them to me.

Stopped on my way to work. My stomach has been hurting all day so potato soup is my go to. That was not potato soup, no potatoes in it at all. Just very very thin, nasty looking milky water. And curiosity made me taste it!! NASTY!!

I'm highly disappointed! A picture of this restaurant shows they serve beer and wine... But when I get there.. No Beer or Wine menu!! Awful! No beer served at this restaurant.

Food was good, but the sandwiches and the pizza were missing toppings. These were not special requests. Also a slice was missing out of the pizza. We were driving through and we're on the highway by the time we realized. I like schlotskys but I will probably avoid this location in the future.

Terrible, if the outside looks of the restaurant is anything close to what the inside is... I'll never eat there again. Very Trashy, grass knee high, needs serious landscaping...Ordered medium turkey bacon drove off down the freeway only to discover it was a turkey sandwich no bacon. Spent 12 min. In the drive thru. Hopefully they can get it cleaned up and more efficient.

We walked in to two employees(?) Or owners(?) obviously frustrated with each other and arguing over who got their order and who didn't. They involved the kitchen staff in it.. One sent the other over to look at the empty table...where those guests had no food. The customer just asked for a refund. NO ONE even acknowledged us or the lady standing there ahead of us. We turned around and walked out. None of our money is spent for horrible service.

While the food was fantastic it was very uncomfortable to eat there because of one worker named Mark. I think he was some kind of Manager if you want to call him that. He was rude to me and my fiends. His rudeness didn't stop with my group i could hear him treating the workers in the kitchen like scum. The young man who brought out our food so so kind and friendly and was very helpful correcting an error on the order that the manager made. We would eat here every time we pass thru if they would get rid of the jerk who waited on us.

Slow and not great. Been to many great Schlotzski's and this definitely isn't one of them.

If you go through the drive through don't expect good service from Andrew. I asked for a $5 pizza and he said "is it the weekend? No it is not. I do not have $5 pizza". He also needed to mansplain they don't have larges now, they only have giagantics. Then asked if I wanted one of those. Lived in the area several years and I'll be honest, We quit eating here because of the service. The food is usually right but your so frustrated by the time your done ordering, you can't enjoy it.

Cannot believe the terrible experience we had today, worker taking our order was rude, kept having us repeat ourselves, and was rushing us while taking our order, and when she asked for the name she didn’t even give us a second to respond and yelled “NAME?” I came with my clearly Hispanic aunt and she was only making her repeat herself, every word she said, but after we sat down and two white girls walked in, she greeted them, took her time taking their order, and was very friendly with them, don’t want to assume it’s a racist thing but I mean can you blame me?

First time customer, last time customer. I pull to the drive thru and nobody greets, so I wait. Then I say hello A bunch of times. After 3 cars piled up behind me i finally decided to go inside. My truck is loud, it is a 91 Chevy. Then when i pull back around I see the drive thru is working. So i go inside and order and obviously I am annoyed. The person inside takes my order and gives me a cup for the drink, I go to the soda machine and no Ice comes out. so I go back to the counter and the two people there ignore me while he is being taught how to use the frequent customer cards. After they finally finish, then I ask for Ice, he says on the machine that says ice.....So why don't you guys repair the soda machine so that it dispenses ICE. I couldn't see it because another employee was filling the straws and stuff in front of the ice machine, but that employee doesn't tell me there is an ICE machine. So much for fast food, then I wanted the soup with a bread. Too bad, its crackers
