Hidden gem in the middle of a tourist spot. We went there for the second time already. The first time is by curiosity but it turned out that the food is excellent from the quality to the price so we went there for the second time and it was still as good as it was. It'd better to make a reservation especially during summer and highseason.

I went for dinner after a local recommendation. The place was packed, but I was lucky to find a table. The service is nice and effective, food really good, up to the high standards of Basque cuisine. The cofit of red pepper in virgin olive oil was just outstanding. The monkfish with king prawn was really good, and as a dessert, I had the "torrija" (kind of creamy French toast for reference) with Bailey's cream and Cinnamon ice cream, also amazing A place I will return to when in the area

Excellent experience at Kupela. We arrived certainly late but they agreed to serve us. You will find a small dining room (barely 10 tables), so we were lucky to make it. Traditional Basque cuisine with a few glimpses of innovation in the interpretation of some recipes gathered a familiar atmosphere. Product quality was outstanding: the best "solomillo" I can remember in the last months. Affordable rapport qualité-prix for what you will be served. We will certainly come back.

Fantastic Mother's Day meal with the family. Service was warm, efficient and friendly. Excellent croquettes and fresh langostine salad to start. Amazing grilled monk fish and fabulous steaks. The favourite dessert was the "torrija" with Baileys and mandarine sorbet. Thoroughly recommendable.

Lugar para pinchos perfecto, de precio un poco elevado, el servicio muy bueno. Los camareros majos y agradables.

Nos sentamos en el interior 4 personas. Nos atendieron rápido y muy amables. Pedimos la oferta de 10 pinchos por 23 euros … los pinchos no son nada del otro mundo. Plato combinado con un precio elevado, pero merece la pena, por cantidad y calidad. Las aguas las tienen de 33 cl… no entiendo el porque … a no ser que sea para que compres 2 o 3 aguas … es un sitio correcto, aunque me ha parecido un poco caro.

Tardaron mucho en atendernos y en servirnos después las raciones. La comida no estaba mala pero tampoco destacaba nada. Un sitio normal donde tomar pintxos o raciones en Hondarribia. El trato fue correcto por parte del personal.

Good ingredients but under seasoned and, in my opinion, some dishes had no salt. No one smiles so the service felt a bit rude, unwelcoming. Overall experience was barely satisfactory. The dessert (Torrijas) was good per other people at the table that tried it. I was unimpressed.

This is by far the most disappointing meal we had in Hondaribbia. We had an egg "mollet" with prawns. The dish was like a watery version of an omelette. The fish soup had 2 clams and three small bites of fish. Rather flat in taste. The main dish chipirones in ink was too salty for me to finish and the clams in green sauce was just ok. Nothing to shout about. With a bottle of white wine at 11 euro the bill came up to 71.50 euro. We left without ordering dessert. Service was fast and efficient lacking warmth.

Lo de que la camarera rubia ande jugando con la comida que nos iba a servir, delante nuestro y jurando sobre las ganas que tiene de irse a su casa. ¿Es normal? Las chicas que están en la barra la verdad que dejan mucho que desear, en cambio los camareros muy amables, sobre todo un chico de coleta.

Sinceramente no fué nada agradable la visita. Tienen un sistema de cobro bastante agresivo y de mal gusto, inmediato sin haberte siquiera sentado. Los pintxos, bola de carne picante poco relleno por dentro y con una capa de masa bastante exagerada y cruda por dentro, lo único medianamente aceptable fueron los calamares y el resto sin mas. Servicio y/o atención poco profesional.

El viernes 19 de septiembre fuimos a comer en familia. Diez personas. Nos dijeron que teníamos pedir pagar y luego nos servirían. Nos sonó raro y un familiar escucho como opinaban que teníamos pinta de irnos sin pagar. Una pena . Allí se quedaron. Comimos ,y pagamos, divinamente en el Maite. Ese tipo de juicios....mal

The food wasn't good. The fish soup with classic had 1 clam and no fish. The fish taste wasn't there. I had bacalao and was tasteless. Service was terrible, and they need to provide exhaust; as soon as you go inside smells like you get into the kitchen.
